Right as I finished the Dark drop. Let’s go 🔥

Yuri

Soi soi sooooooi !!🏐

andythesaladgod

You guys should react to the OVA’s, land vs air and path of the ball of the ball are pretty essential since they explain what happens in the Tokyo qualifiers which you guys were curious about, the OVA’s are why they credits scene had a preview for the Tokyo qualifiers.

Niko

The music in this season is so incredibly godlike, the previous seasons had a great soundtrack as well but this season just hits so HARD. enjoy the season and the music boys!!!

Cade

WAS WAITING FOR BRIG TO SEE THE 4x3 TENNIS FLASHBACK

kkcat

Hinata really: 1. Beat Shiratorizawa 2. Break into their school 3. Upgrades with no guidance 4. Makes friends with all his enemies 5. Leaves

Giuliano Venturo Gonzales

Guy I'm not sure when exactly but you guys NEED to watch the OVA before you get spoiled in the next eps

kkcat

Did the boys stop reading comments to avoid spoilers TAT

Secretly

Cannon getting mad at the bus spoiler 😂

Hem-ehem

0:33 Jack, when it's shown that he (Hinata) just barged into the program and stood in the freshman line. That's when I gasped lol i don't think it's cringe but "Hinata??!! 😲" then laughed my ass off! 🤣🤣 Tsukki becoming like Kageyama shouting "Baka!!" to Hinata was hilarious too 🤣 Kageyama was rougher saying "Boke!" But they mean the same thing lol

Hem-ehem

That is also possible. Since they have no mods for Patreon chat. They did mention in past Haikyu reaction that they do not want people to mention names and what happens in future. And there are people who still did it here out of sheer personal excitement for the show and characters.

2026-10-07 09:00 ATSUMU MY SECOND FAVOURITE CHARACTER IS HERE LETS GOOOOOOOO
2024-11-22 04:16

Hem-ehem

1:20 Cannon "He shouldn't have to sneak into that" Jack "Yeah, he should've been invited.." He should've due to his volleyball merit at that prefecture level imo but we all know Wajisho sensei prefers tall boys, highlighted by Coach Ukai in previous ep when he looked at the list of freshman invited to the program.

Nash
>>156052690

Didn’t the Johzenjj coach mention in the first ep that he recommended Hinata or smthn like that? But Washijo sensei was the one in charge so obviously it got rejected ig

Red Robin

"The husband" Lmaooo

Clover

not them calling us out for calling atsumu our husband 😔 there’s a reason for it ok 😭 geks don’t attack us like that

Secretly

Who would've thought after episode 1 that McKay would be the one looking at the bright side of things. Bro's really just a chill guy.

Clover

me screaming internally everytime he’s in a scene

Clover

me when miya atsumu: 😍🥰💘☺️ me when miya atsumu opens his mouth to speak with his kansai accent: 💍👰🏼‍♀️🥵⚰️🪦

Joydan Bri’an

this arc is not everyone’s cup of tea but even though it’s slow, i really like it. not as much as season 2 training arc but it’s still enjoyable 🙂‍↕️. also hinata has really jumped out to me this rewatch for some reason. like i love him of course but idk what it is

Hem-ehem

Yes, he was recommended. I forgot to mention that. Thank you!

2026-10-07 09:00 Hoshiumi (white haired guy) from Kageyama’s training camp and Tanjiro from Demon Slayer share the same VA.
2024-11-22 04:35

kkcat

My people <3

Clover

If that’s the case, then that is SO sad bc most of the patreon comments are so fire and I enjoy reading them so much 🥲

Clover

no wonder i could hear okarun chaos in this rewatch XD

Nash
>>156053441

Also Atsumu and Douma (upper moon two) share the VA 🤭

Joie Dianzon 🇵🇭

Hinata is quick to catch up because he's determined to reach Kageyama's level. You guys finally met Oikawa 2.0.. husband of many young Haikyuu fans. 🙂‍↔️ If I am not mistaken, his VA is the same as Light Yagami's.

Clover

YES!! Atsumu’s VA also did Light Yagami and Chrollo too

mariacake

I was imagining Brig doing that “Leo pointing at the TV meme” to the split step part 😂

mariacake

Whoa Hoshiumi’s VA also did Tanjiro and Okarun no wonder!

mariacake

My jaw dropped when I heard Cannon say that hahaha!

mariacake

I know! I love Patreon’s comments section but yeah some gets too excited 😖 I wish the Geks can watch the show blind like we did

mariacake

One of my favorite parts in S4 is when Hinata called Coach Ukai. It’s just so heartwarming! Having someone to call and give you guidance and warm encouragement- not everyone has that. 🥺

Riley

also i think you guys need to remember hinata sucks fs but he is also only 1 1/2 years into playing and is going up some of the best in all of japan

mariacake

Jozenji coach making them play 2-on-2 as usual 🤣 I wonder why he was chosen as assistant coach there 😭 maybe he’s good at observing and scouting 🤔

Dapper Dad

Episode 3 is the greatest episode of the series IMO. It depicts that time when you play something competitively and everything finally clicks to where you notice so many new things you never saw before and the game becomes a completely different beast.

Clover

This ball boy arc really solidified my love for haikyuu as a series. The first training arc in season 2 was very much needed for them to come out as a new and improved team especially for their rematch against Seijoh. But this ball boy arc though, brought Hinata back to ground zero which really goes against shounen formula of just continuing on with the intensity and the “hype” of the show. Taking such a big breather and stepping back to the basics when you’re already this far into the series really shows Furudate’s talent in story-telling and character writing. He really takes times building his characters, putting his respect and love into them and his effort in doing so shines even more in this training arc in S4. He could have just implemented a “he learns as he goes/plays” but never did that and dedicated a whole arc for our baby sunshine 🥹 and here I am appreciating every moment of it ❤️

peachy af

definitely took me by surprise lol

Riley

the legend you are ron

Clover

one of the most wholesomes moments in the show 😭😭 i love coach ukai so much

alexis ♡︎

i love this show so much. like i loveee hinata and i loveee kags so much, and it’s the episodes like these that make me feel it. don’t get me wrong, there’s so many other characters in this show that i adore, but those two are on a different level to me from a writing perspective and their character traits, i just love them, they’re so precious to me also the boys immediately referring to tsumu as ‘the husband’ had me dead asf 😭

Hem-ehem

43:27 Jack standing up and pointing at Wajisho sensei, "That's right!" 😂 Remember when Geks asked which Haikyu characters seem closest to Geks members? Jack = Suga. Suga's a pretty cool, calm and understanding character but there's a few moments he can be passionately loud especially when in heated matches.

Clover

jack: who’s that guy? is that the johzenji guy? brig: he’s the husband bro i died 😂

Hem-ehem

From what I gather, the way he said it, it's not just that. There are people in patreon been dropping spoilers still. He just happened to just pick that one as an example.

tskjn

atsumu so annoying i love him

Clover

when he stood up, i choked bc he’s so funny and dramatic help 😭

Isaiah

Hes just a chill guy lmaoooo brig

Hem-ehem

IKR? 😁😂

Nicole Dua

"The husband" lmaoooo I'm dead

Brig Andrus

Watchu know bout that split step?

Nicole Dua

Forget hinata let's look at McKay for the greatest character development so far

peachy af

hmm yeah i suppose the reaction just took me by surprise haha

peachy af

Brig saying "he's a chill guy :)" about hyakuzawa is really making me giggle for some reason

Hunter Snider

As a fellow tennis player, I also immediately was like "oh nice lol, split step." It's so funny how it's a season 4 advanced innovation for Hinata when it is like tennis 101

gyu

to any geks reading this: pls watch the land vs air ova before episode 9

Moon

Before I start my usual spiel of hidden details and answering questions: I'M SO HAPPY TO BE EARLY TO A HAIKYUU DROP FOR ONCE WHAT A WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY PRESENT FROM THE GEKS HEHE A little detail that no one really notices on their first watch is when Kindaichi says "Well, he's amazing, too." to Hinata. Because when he says "too" he's implying that Kageyama is amazing(that's why he's All-Japan) but he's also telling Hinata that he's just as amazing as Kags, which is a BIG DEAL for someone who played against his sucky self in junior high to say to him now! The thing about Hinata is that when he's in the zone, he's REALLY in the zone. And people can sense it, like Kunimi said (the Aoba Johsai player with his bangs split down the middle). And like Tsukki says, it ignites a sort of competitive spirit in others when they see Hinata like that. He's literally making everyone in the camp want to compete with him HAHA!

bokkun

the random oikawa appreciation at the end AGAIN looolll

bokkun

was just about to ask the comments when's the best time to watch the ova before they could get spoiled in the show :)) hopefully they see this!

Clover

this is so funny but someone help poor jack who is mixing up all the blondies in the show 😂 first tattsun becomes tsukki’s brother, then tattsun (again) becomes ukai’s brother and now atsumu became terushima from johzenji

Clover

happy birthday!! 🥳

Nash
>>156059109

Cannon’s so right. Oikawa’s him fr 🙂‍↕️

bokkun

i agree but it's interesting how we've met a bunch of strong and hard-working players but among them oikawa still gets mentioned the most 😂 i think his character just naturally charms people

vally

Head empty just MIYA ATSUMU‼️‼️‼️

Nash
>>156059109

Kinda refreshing to see reactors appreciate him cuz most of the reactors villainise him just bc he tried to hit Kageyama that one time. And I think he just charms ppl cuz he’s relatable and one of the most fleshed out non karasuno characters haha

Rei

Miya atsumu with his kansai accent will always be the best!!

a_daichi

Happy birthday!!

Crystal

FRR!!!! im so proud of his development 🤧

Moon

Ahhh thank you guys all so much!! I'm so excited for more Haikyuu drops from the Geks!!

2026-10-07 09:00 Is it crazy that I like this arc more than the season 2 training arc? 🤔

Cannon Andrus

The hindsight merchants really ruin reactions 🤷🏽

Ron Jackson Jr
>>156061927

ye u crazy same man but i just dont like the animation that's just my opinion I'm still gonna watch it still...

crissoopshii

GEKS DAILY REMINDER TO WATCH THE OVA BEFORE EP 8-9!!!!

crissoopshii

brig pls let us get to u and watch the OVA before episode 8-9 it's crucial.....

Hem-ehem

It's been only 6+ months since he entered Karasuno High School and actually playing in a proper team. The Spring Tournament qualifier for Miyagi prefecture was in October.

elle

up

fromtheconcrete_shoyo

For me, it's equal. Maybe because my boi Hinata is improving, plus we saw different perspectives from their opponents. 🥹

elle

you guys should watch OVA before ep 8-9 🙏🙏🙏

2026-10-07 09:00 MY SECOND FAV CHARACTER ATSUMU IS HERE (nobody beats hinata)
2024-11-22 09:04

idk

THe way jack stood up for a moment 😭 that’s how I felt I’m that moment too LMAO

hugoruix

I love the moment Kageyama sets to no one bc Hinata is usually at the net before he even sets xD

idk
>>156064975

I think it gets explained later on but you guys will understand soon💯

Ayaulym🇰🇿

Guys I’m sorry for talking about how long Hinata’s ride is to home 😭I completely forgot that it was in a show and thought it was never mentioned😂 can’t believe I did such a rookie mistake

vally

Also @Geks it’s still not too late to rewatch the two OVAs if you want to know what happened in the Tokyo Prefacture (Nekoma and Fukurodani). Just make sure that you’re watching it before ep 8 or 9!

greyxwaren

might wanna delete because it does get explained later and they expressed how they don’t like comments like this

idk
>>156064975

Ah I see I couldn’t remember if it got explained later so I thought I’d explain it💯 I’ll take it down

Fe

my little guy hoshiumi’s debut!!

MissJodles

When Brig said "he doesn’t want Hinata to succeed because it means that he gave up on himself" that was so real

kai

finally the last of my big 3 is here! love my blonde kingie 🫶🏽

kai

happy birthdayyyy

kai

😭😭😭

kai

you not alone!

questta

And the leader of the phantom troupe. 😎

Cryptcat

The white haired dude having bird like eyes is basically a pun with their team name.

Jenny D

Great reactions! I love the ball boy ARC. Hinata Definitely deserved to be there, but at the same time this let's him see the match from a different perspective and hone his receiving skills. I also love how he helps the two meter guy ans that his lecturing comes out more encouraging. I'm looking forward to the next batch of reactions.

Rayanh Shequinah Nansha

I don't know if it's just me, but I never got the feeling that the coach was hoping to see Hinata fail. It always seemed to me like he was testing him. The ball boy arc always felt like a roundabout way to help him improve while also leaving him to figure it out himself.

fromtheconcrete_shoyo

I always love episode 4 of ball boy arc. I never forget how Hyakuza said Hinata should be the one invited BUT hinata told him "You mean both of us should be here." Those interactions make Hyakuza more confident and never downgrade himself. Plus, the fact that Hinata acknowledged him by saying "I want to beat you" means a lot. I need a friend like Hinata <3 Take it easy is a nice reminder not only in volleyball but irl. Glad to hear this quote again. Make sure to breathe :>

Mia Malvik ⚞ • ⚟

His voice has me weak in the knees bruh. Light Yagami's VA btw, nobody recognised it I think

Mia Malvik ⚞ • ⚟

I feel like this is the case most of the time, nobody does it on purpose 🙁

Clover

coach washijo is the mvp who brought about the ball boy arc, we gotta thank him for that

Patriicia

Mia is Hinatas husband tho *smirk*

Red

It's always good to have these episodes before the matches. We need to just relax sometimes 🙏

Süm

Hoshiumi is such a fun character. I love him a lot. I feel like he is kind of underrated in the fandom.

BubblePriest

I never doubted Brigg, that split step call out was NICE. Astumu has been revealed, but the best character(my favorite) hasn't been shown yet. Soon though...

Saphira

I was also cringing the first watch but then on the rewatch i realised that hinata did not have the same opportunities that everyone else had while in middle and junior school but now he is always reminded of that and the ball boy arc is him taking every chance and opportunity he is not given to not fall back more and even advance. Made me look at these scenes from a different perspective.

mariacake

Friendly but competitive 🥹 the camp was for freshmen volleyball players to improve but it’s Hinata making them all up their game 🥹🥹🥹

Saphira

Finally my favourite character besides oikawa and tsukki is introduced: miya atsumu. There is a pattern i know.

𝕯𝖎𝖆𝖓𝖆 𖤐

it takes some balls and determination to do what Hinata did, specially a that young age, he is putting his dream above anything else even embarrasment.

Toff

Atsumu my GOAT

Thiivi

The dub of this show is fucking incredible and I will not stand to hear it be slandered lmao

mariacake

Hinata’s extrovertedness 📈📈📈📈📈📈

YANXI

Exactly. I had second-hand embarrassment when I watched it the first time, but after rewatching it, I wasn't embarrassed or cringed by it at all. I was actually inspired. Hinata's determination and will to constantly advance surpasses any embarrassment or awkwardness that comes with being a go-getter. Everything that he does. he does it at 101%. That's pretty inspirational.

YANXI

He's so underrated. I hate how some people just overlook all of his good qualities and just find him annoying. Like, there's nothing wrong with finding him annoying, but put some respect on Hinata lol. His determination and desire to always get better is unmatched.

Ayaulym🇰🇿

Miya Atsumu is the GOAT. Finally my second favorite character out of everyone

emmy

btw the haikyuu dub is actually comedic genius sometimes i watch it when i need a laugh because it's just so unserious

𝕯𝖎𝖆𝖓𝖆 𖤐

I was like that as a kid, but then came puberty and self consciousness. After that I realized I should’ve stayed the same. Watering yourself down for others is really no it

Thiivi

yes and?

bebe

lol for real when i first watched season 4 when it was released, i didnt even know the animation issue and i only realized it when the cmmts on reaction vids keep mentioning it. with or without animation issues, season 4 is the best arc for me

mariacake

I totally get you Dianna! Some start to feel uneasy when they see someone who’s locked in just like Hinata in the show.

𝕯𝖎𝖆𝖓𝖆 𖤐

His confidence in himself is so inspirational, specially since he is so tiny, he is not my favorite but some of the moments that I’ve felt more excited and marveled are Hinata’s.

𝕯𝖎𝖆𝖓𝖆 𖤐

I will say though I rather Hinata’s hair in the old animation, it looks like a starfish in this one sometimes and its distracting to me 💀💀💀

bebe

s4 the goat

YANXI

We really our own enemy. We're too worried about what other people would think of us that we literally start losing our own potential.

Miitei

You guys referring to Atsumu as "The Husband" is hilarious 😂

vally

Pretty bratty boys

Izaya

Jack's saltiness is getting a little annoying now. Like, get over it, come on..

Niko

its definitely better than most dubs but i think it's a little too goofy, the sub clears imo but to each their own!

Thiivi

Valid take! I personally love the goofiness lmao

Red Robin

AGREED, hes so fun I dont like that everyone hates him

Miitei

He is so underrated! I even found some people that hate him because he is better than Hinata 😅 The guy is funny and such a good player, I like him very much

CC

my goat fr

bebe

????? bruh

Riley

true he’s been playing less than a year with a team that has experience, which is insanely impressive. i never really considered that his prior experience was without a coach without any legit players!

alexis ♡︎

immediately thought of you when they said that cus of your pfp

jessiefungirl

i will admit it's hilarious even if the acting isn't my favorite (ukai and yachi are amazing lol), and s4 was solid

jessiefungirl

I was surprised to hear so many people cringe when Hinata snuck in. I understand why Tsuki did, though. The worst part for me was Tendo wanting a rematch only for him to have to run away to make drinks💀. I love how I thought the limit of this show's wacky character design was goofy hair(e.g. Dateko's setter) until we see white feathery hair and bird eyes😭. Also, Atsumu being an Ushijima+Oikawa is something I'll probably never be able to unsee, thanks.

jessiefungirl

100% if he wanted him to fail he could've punished him or sent him back home.

Sandi uchiha

Dying at Cannon making that husband comment. I have at least three husbands from haikyuu lmao. Brig is right, 32:00. he is a husband

peachy af

Whaaaat i love that him and suga have star hair now its so cute 😭

peachy af

I havent fully watched thru the dub but its definitely incredibly funny and makes them feel even more like highschool boys lol

Sandi uchiha

what saltiness?? i love jack, leave him alone

Luna Meow

the dub is so bad it's good... but cring

emmy

i didn’t even seen your comment before mine but i agree!!! it’s so unserious and that’s why i love it

Alex

I've seen so many people in the past complain about the ball boy arc and say things like "I almost dropped the show because of it"... I genuinely really like this arc though. It's filled with a bunch of really lovely moments like Hinata helping Hyakuzawa. I'm the kind of person who loves the slower slice of life elements in haikyuu just as much as the hype games though XD

Clover

no cause why did that one player shove his bottle in hinata’s face while he was still in the middle of replying tendou i cant 💀😭

Clover

even if our tournament explanation comments didn’t get to them, im glad our atsumu husband comments reached them 😭😂

Miitei

fr 😂

botanbutton

I remember a while back, when I first got into Haikyuu and started watching reactions, I noticed this....HQ fans are overzealous! 😂 It's usually a well-meaning overzealousness in an effort to spread the love for HQ but it can be overbearing and lead to these kinds of missteps. 😅 Just remember to stop and think, fam, instead of trying to be first! 🧡🖤🧡🖤

botanbutton

and one of Muzan's Twelve moons 🌙👹

botanbutton

Just wanted to post this comment separately. A while back, when I first got into Haikyuu and started watching reactions, I noticed....HQ fans are overzealous! 😂 It's usually a well-meaning overzealousness in an effort to spread the love for HQ but it can be overbearing and lead to missteps (like preemptively mentioning Hinata's ride home). 😅 Just remember to stop and think, fam, instead of trying to be first! Don't become the loathed hindsight merchant! 🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡

Dakota

I heard that “just a chill guy” line just dropped in there, Brig 😂 the smaller white haired kid is so funny. Dude is surprised when Kageyama doesn’t react to his jump and spike because usually everyone is surprised by it. He doesn’t know that Kageyama has his own little guy flying around on his team lol

Nash
>>156120479

Nash
>>156111724

bella

i think i'm actually in the minority here LMAOO i don't really care for atsumu like that. hoshiumi is goated though, you'll just have to give him time but you'll see! everyone at hinata and tsukki's camp is actually really good too, kunimi, goshiki and kindaichi are all really solid players

Lala

It's Princess Mononoke references at 19:07!!

Moon

FJGHHW WHERE DID YOU ALL COME FROM But thank you!!! Y'all are too sweet HAHA

Patriicia

I didnt realize it either! It was alright for me but then I read some comments how bad it is.. it never seemed that bad to me. I love S4 as well♥

LaYami・砂漠の子

1:55 exactly brig, he even said it in the match with Karasuno "I want to deny you, Karasuno's number 10"

syberkiller8

damn guys, nice schedule as always, its laughable at this point.

Well, Hinata was recommended to be invited (by the other dude on the coach's side) but the og coach for that camp "rejected" him
