Nice 😎

C2-H5-OH

FINALLY, been waiting for the reupload. Thanks Geks. It's still 720p for me, anyone seeing 1080p?

7thdilemma

let's gooooo blue balled having it taken down before

Tuckerah13

Not 1080p? Anyone else?

Qhoa

Should I start watching? I’ve never seen any of the movies before, been debating on starting since they started posting them

BRO.

Reupload? Or am I tripping

studiogek

I believe the video should process up to 1080p in a short time just fyi. I think streamable slowly adds higher quality after you upload videos

C2-H5-OH
>>157658688

Perhaps there an account limit on Streamable, you could try Vimeo or DailyMotion as well. It could also be processing speed on Streamable like in YT. New uploads take a bit of time to be available in full quality.

corLeonis

Something to watch once I get back homeeee lezzz goo

Fatipapi

Why are the last couple of uploads suddenly this weird format? Instead of just watching it on the patreon app, it’s sends me to a website where i can’t even watch it in proper fullscreen unless i copy the link and separately open it in a browser 🥲 what was wrong with the old way of uploading?

Tuckerah13
>>157658792

Still isn’t just refreshed all and 720p HD and we can’t full screen it seems

C2-H5-OH
>>157659253

The old way would upload to the Patreon cloud, for which there is a limit per creator account. I think the Geks reached the limit and are hence uploading on a different platform and embedded it in a post. I feel your pain tbh. Streamable is banned in my country, so I'm forced to use a VPN.

Fatipapi
>>157659253

I thought they requested more space? I used to follow this other channel, they had waaaaay more vids uploaded than the geks 🤔 not too sure how patreon works in that regard, but im not a fan of this Streamable 😔

studiogek
>>157659253

So sorry about the inconvenience, they do give us a limited amount of 500 hours of upload storage and we already requested for more last time we ran out and they gave us 100 more hours, and that ran out pretty quick. So I requested more again and hopefully they get it to us soon

Fatipapi
>>157659253

Aah, that explains. Then i understand going for this rather than halting the upload schedule. Hope they respond soon!

Christine

One of my favorite upload days of the week, next to the Haikyu!! uploads ⚡️

Hannah

Robert Knox who portrayed Marcus Belby in this movie was murdered days after filming at the age of 18 outside a bar when he intervened in a fight to protect his 17 year old brother God bless his soul❤️

Sean Carroll

Overall this movie is my least favourite transition from book to movie of the franchise. There was far too much reliance on the romance stuff which the goblet of fire did far better. The romance stuff also eliminated the chance for more exploration into voldemorts past through harry and dumbledores trips into memories. In the movie there are only 2 memories shown. From what I remember the book shows 7 memories that highlight key set up for harry and Dumbledore predicting the horcruxes. Also Ron’s house was not burned down in the book, the scene actually was a meeting between harry and the new minister at Ron’s house. The movie clearly wanted an action scene just to excite people but the house was totally fine again in the next movie so was pointless in the first place. Also why would they just randomly attack Ron’s house anyway? Overall a 6/10 movie and for me ranks in 6th place overall out of the 8 movies

Jonesy

warm water drinkers>>>

Jonesy

im super excited for the last three cus ive only seen them once

lololol

same with cannon! this movie is definitely my fave

Sweede TW

This movie is definitely my sleeper goat, the vibe is just so different.

Patriicia

Brig you are right. It was sooo sick in the theater!

Coen

i need this new way of uploading to go, the constant buffering.. i cant even watch the uploads anymore

ooAlmondMilk

I think this is either my 3rd or 4th favourite, I need to rewatch the last one to decide

Coen
>>157661633

I haven't been able to watch any of last weeks uploads. After 1min it buffers constantly, i need to wait 30 seconds to be able to watch another 1min. My internet is very good. Im begging, please change the way of uploading. IM ON MY KNEES

chloe

the book is my favorite but i have a love and hate relationship with the film adaptation. i just felt like they fell short adapting some parts that would be crucial to a deeper understanding of what happens in the next movies if you are movie-only fan

chloe
>>157663124

but i also understand why they chose to highlight the action aspect not so more on voldemort lore / storytelling. i mean the target demographic was still mainly pre-teens/teens

Sasha

"You dare use my own spells against me Potter. Yes. I'm the Half-Blood Prince" is one of the coolest lines I have ever seen and heard. This movie's atmosphere is so special to me and it doesn't waver for once. It's my favorite but the next two are not far off.

Chrisiyyi

isnt there a after credits with voldemort?

Chrisiyyi
>>157661633

Lower your quality, most likely patreon player did it automatically for you into shit quality, its terrible compared to this, i have 0 issues with buffering.

Chrisiyyi
>>157659253

Streamable has been way better for me, i hate/despise the patreon player.

C2-H5-OH

Here are some things the movie completely skipped over: 1. Snape's parents are called Eileen Prince and Tobias Snape (muggle) making him the half-blood Prince. 2. One of the memories Harry and Dumbledore visit in the book is of Voldemort’s parents. His mom, Merope Gaunt, seduces his Muggle dad, Tom Riddle Sr., using a love potion. They’re speaking Parseltongue the whole time, and it gives a lot of context about Voldemort’s background. 3. They directly showed Draco's Dark Mark tattoo in the movie, but it is implied in the books. During the scuffle at the end, Harry and friends try to follow Draco and some death eater through a passageway but there is a barrier, and Harry says "I bet you need a dark mark to be able to walk through". 4. During the scuffle at the end, Harry gives the remainder of the luck potion to Ginny and one other to share (maybe Neville or Luna). In the aftermath, they say there were loads of curses flying around, but somehow all of them missed us. 5. They don't show Dumbledore's funeral in the movie - they make him a white marble tomb where he is buried with his wand. 6. At the very beginning, Harry isn't flirting with some waitress, he is indeed at the Durseley's where Dumbledore comes to pick him up. Before leaving, he chastises Vernon and Petunia heavily for their lack of care for Harry. More importantly, he tells them that there is a charm called The Fidelius Charm which allowed Harry to live with his family safely without being tracked down by voldemort or death eaters until he comes of age, and that is why Harry was dropped off there when he was a baby.

Coen
>>157661633

No, patreon was always at the highest quality. Its easy to see the difference between 1080 and 720. Patreon was always 1080 for me. It's 100% the videoplayer, not the internet.

Coen
>>157661633

Also I've tried to view it at 720 and even 480. Both buffer.. 😭

Jonesy

not including deathly hallows, this is my 2nd favourite movie. prisoner of azkaban is number 1. this one has a good plot like goblet of fire but the teen drama is less cringy

Brent Kilgore

book and movie 6 are my favorite for sure, then 3/4

SirCatelot

Streamable is so garbage, please switch back

Sean Carroll
>>157664734

Exactly, this movie as I mentioned is the worst transition from book and overall just a lacklustre film. The last 30 minutes of the movie is fantastic though

Sean Carroll
>>157663124

The problem is that the lore stuff is far more important of a set up for the finale. Their are at least two horcruxes that come off as quite random in movie format because this movie decided to skip harry and dumbledores other memories they travelled to where it’s explicitly stated that these might be the other horcruxes

chloe
>>157663124

i agree, i have a few movie-only friends who got really confused when the movie came out. also, they do not get the importance of each horcrux, and why voldemort chose these objects as his horcruxes

Meruuk

I still remember little me, after reading this, running to my mom, crying, 'Snape killed Dumbledore!' I was so mad at Snape. My mom almost forbade me from reading the next book. XD

Zipzzty

Only 2 movies left time really flies

T

The movie is good by itself - like I love the trio & their friendship, the awkward teen romance (except for Ginny lol), the feud with Draco, Dumbledore's aura scene.. but it's honestly a terrible adaptation of the book. But I know that it's impossible to get everything across in 2 or so hours and the movie was still very entertaining. I probably sound like a nerdy potterhead but if you want to really delve into the series you have to read the books!

T
>>157675010

Ngl, I don't think Harry's "but I am the chosen one" moment was in the book tho but it was pretty good line lol

Derek Whittom

I stream your videos to my tv. Streamable doesn’t support that.

Rasmus Kjær Poulsen

Did you change video player? This one is acting very strangely. Skip function is pretty broken and when i tab out of the video and back in (when im gaming) it rewinds a few minutes :(

Nrock23

John Williams stop scoring the HP movies after Azkaban sadly

Tiga

RIP Helen McCroy (Narcissa/Polly Gray) 🙏🏼

Sarah Wevers

Watching these with you is LITERALLY the highlight of my week❤️

Junior

The whole half-blood prince plot is just meaningless in the film. So Snape is the half-blood prince. So what? It holds no significance to the story at all. They absolutely butchered the title plot lol

rian

what the hells streamable ? is it better or what?

rian

why’d yall have to make it weird ?

Sheru

Tis ma fav HP movie

Ashley K

I haven’t read the books yet unfortunately but entertainment wise #6 is one of my favorites. Based on a few other comments by book readers though, it seems this one doesn’t do the book a lot of justice which is a shame. Really makes me want to pick up the books to learn what I’m missing.

Sean Carroll
>>157681534

The books are the best way to enjoy Harry Potter. First two movies are practically identical to the books with some small changes. But from book 3 onwards there is a lot missing. My overall problem isn’t that they cant fit in 400-800 pages of stuff into these movies but the issue is focusing on things that didn’t need as much screen time. There was far too much romance in this movie when we could have explored more of voldemorts past as we did in the book. The goblet of fire did romance far better as it gave it its own 20 minute section and then moved back on, this movie had too much of it

Tiga
>>157680260

They ran out of storage so had to upload using streamable instead I believe

A_Daddy Daichi

I still haven’t finished watching the first movie reaction 😭 I’m so behind lmao

Ashley K
>>157681534

I see your point. I would’ve much rather explore Voldemort’s past than the romance.

TheSauceGuy
>>157658821

Great experience and gets more mature as you progress in films, which makes sense as the characters are aging

Daniella

Watching this in the cinema was absolutely amazing (just realising now i was 9 yrs old at the time lol) so it was defo my favourite for the longest time but after so many rewatches of the entire series it's probably now no.3 or 4 - rip Dumbledore 😭🐐

Mamox

I mean if I have to I'll drink warm water. BUT LIKING IT? I'm with Brigg that shit is psycho

jrnoodles

Thank you! That flame spell Dumbledore did was so cool! Reminded me of a spell from another movie..

Niffol

FINALLY! this is the movie I've been waiting for.

Niffol

I already know Canon is gonna get sussy about the cute black girl with the afro in the start. man of culture.

studiogek

Just fyi guys it sounds like some people like streamable much more but some hate it, the update is I requested more space from patreon a few days ago and should hear from them soon. The patreon player seems to work better overall for most people so we will return to that if/when we can

Lauryn

Oooo after this series, I feel like y’all would like hunger games. Only 4 movies and honestly pretty accurate to the books in my opinion

Carrie

Saw this in theaters on opening night with my family. Before it started some older guys in the row in front of us were joking loudly about how Dumbledore dies & my 8 yr old sister (who hadn’t read the book) heard the spoiler. My dad was so mad he cussed them out 😭💀 ah memories

Amna 🍉

Dumbledore's farewell ost gives me goosebumps each time

Aozora

37:43 Fun fact about brewing potions: The instructions for brewing potions are deliberately designed to subtly mislead students. This encourages critical thinking and teaches them not to follow instructions blindly. This concept isn't limited to the Harry Potter universe. In Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, there's an episode where Shota tries to brew a gift for his father for Father's Day. He follows the instructions perfectly but ends up blowing himself up each time. He only overcomes the problem when he starts thinking outside the box.

Ninaly

Usually I just pop these on while I work but I ended up glued to the screen and accidentally watched the whole thing for the first time with you guys. Then rated it a 10/10 on IMDB lol (I'm a book reader but never saw this one). It's the best movie so far by several tiers IMO - the stakes, emotion, intrigue and acting are way more developed than in fan favorite Azkaban.

Vlad Lena

Rewatching this movie now, I like it a lot more than I used to. Yes, there are a lot of cringy moments. (The love story with Ginny is a million times more awkward than in the books.) But the fact that they cut out a lot of important moments, including the revelation that Snape is the Half-Blood Prince... in movie it is mentioned in passing and essentially doesn’t contribute anything to the overall picture. But I still enjoy this part!

Amine Belhoucine

I can’t put the streamable long in landscape on my phone does anyone has this problème too? It’s the first time Patreon redirect me to another link to watch your content I don’t know what happened

Amine Belhoucine
>>157696819

I can’t use streamable in landscape on my phone it’s horrible please go back to how it was ❤️

Aozora
>>157699572

oh and the fact that only one student ever managed to brew a draught of living death should tell you something. and Harry doesn't count he technically got a cheat code. However, the line "don't judge a book by its cover" applies here extremely well. As old and tattered as the book was, it provided the insight and wisdom of the old.

Rasmus Kjær Poulsen
>>157696819

Whatever the case. I'd rather watch on streamable than having to wait for more space from Patreon. Looking forward to Sundays because of the HP drop!

Rasmus Kjær Poulsen

Double drop next Sunday so we can watch part 1 and 2 back to back? :D

Ana
>>157693066

And that girl plays the main lead in this show called P valley but that's too much for them lol

Niffol

Squib I don't think it by default racist. its like Gaijin in Japan. Gaijin is used for "Outsider" sometimes its used just as a descriptor no malice. and sometimes its used with malice. Regardless! Filch IS a squib, and he IS filthy. sooooo

SirCatelot
>>157704863

Squib is a wizard born person that can't use magic, complete opposite of muggle born wizards

SirCatelot

Are we gonna watch Fantastic Beasts after Harry Potter, or are we moving on? Dune would be great

TheSauceGuy
>>157696819

As long as you can keep the quality at 1080p, it really shouldn't matter. If Streamable allows you to keep your older uploads instead of having to delete them to free up space, I'd go for that.

studiogek
>>157700651

We ran out of storage on patreon and have to use streamable temporarily. To use landscape you just need to open the streamable video on your internet browser

Sasha

Yes. I know your sister Addie. And so it's craaaazyyyyy that you didn't have her in these reactions🤯

Amine Belhoucine
>>157700651

Hey don’t worry I red the other comments you wrote about it, it didn’t work on safari but I tried with Chrome and it’s fine thanks for the answer ❤️🔥

TheSauceGuy

Honestly, the love potions just seem like wizard roofies. It's odd how the Imperius Curse is unforgivable while love potions being used to manipulate people into intimate/sexual actions are not taken very seriously. I guess the Imperius Curse is significantly worse and can be used for a wider variety of despicable things. Still, the wizarding world seems pretty lax in terms of these things.

Jenny D

This one is pretty good as well. I would say it's in my top 3. Lavender was so annoying. I laughed when he called Hermionie in his sleep. Dumbledore's death was sad, but expected. I'm excited to watch Part 1 and 2.

Carrie

So funny to me how it's the first time Draco's actually up to something serious and Harry is just on his ass from the beginning. Bro’s been gearing up to catch Draco red-handed for years 😂

blooromo23
>>157664734

And that is why Voldemort can't feel or understand love, because he was conceived under the influence of a love potion and born from a loveless union. Sad when things that deepen the story or characters get cut out from the movies

Dakota

Idk which I like more book wise, between 6 and 4. They're my two favorites. Movie wise, this one is my favorite. This book is so good. Gosh. When the focus becomes less about school and more about the outside stuff going on, reading this when I was a kid, just insane. One, two and three are good, but they're just little kids, so its a little more light hearted. Four is good because in the book, the Tri-Wizard Cup was so well done. Then from Five on, the focus becomes more on the fight against Voldemort and school. Although the whole thing with Ron being on the quidditch team has a little more focus in the book. Just all around, this book/movie is my favorite because the book is incredible and the movie is also so good, and like Jack said, the "quality" jump is evident. It feels more grownup from the start, and as an adult now its much more enjoyable that way.

Sasha

38:42 Brig does not have the Merlin's beard😔

TheSauceGuy

Were the birds Hermione had attack Ron real birds? If so, she legit just killed them because she was jealous lol.

Nate

John Williams only did the music for the first three movies.

TheSauceGuy

I'd like to read the books at some point. The concept of a "squib" is more interesting to me than "muggle-borns" or "half-bloods."

Arctic_stark

So Dumbledore had guessed that Voldy has made a horcrux, its self evident because otherwise Voldy should've died that night when he tried to kill baby Harry. He needed the memory to confirm how many horcruxes there are.

Niffol

I never understood how its "cheating" to use the textbook of the Prince... Everyone is using their textbooks, theirs are wrong. In fact. Everyone should have copied versions of the princes book, but you know edit out all the curses. "He's cheating for using the correct skills and measurements for potion making in his potions class!"

Arctic_stark

I remember when I first read the end of Book 6, I was in shock because all I could think was that getting this one horcrux took so much out of Dumbledore and required him to pull out some extreme magic, so how are our trio going to get all the other horcruxes. Also, Ginny is a much better character in the books because you see her develop as a character in the background during books 4 and 5.

TheSauceGuy

I really like Draco's development in this film. I wish it didn't feel so drastic though, especially considering how little of a role he played in many of the previous films. Some scenes were cut in The Deathly Hallows that I wish weren't cut as well. I'm sure most a lot of people know what I'm talking about.

TheSauceGuy

The guy who played Legasov in Chernobyl (Jared Harris) is the son of the actor who played Dumbledore in the first two films (Richard Harris).

ShadowCat

Such a good movie. This is my second favorite after 3. And from the cave scene on, I'm usually bawling for the rest of the movie lol And to be honest, I think im usually crying the entire movie of HP8 part 2 🥲 But there is one scene in part 2 that will ALWAYS break me. Iykyn.

Ana

Luna and Harry would of been a better match

Taylor Blackwell

Yeah, can’t stream to my Apple TV on this format. Kinda sucks. Luckily just opened it on my computers browser and loaded it up next to my game, but hopefully we go back to old format soon.

Taylor Blackwell

Heads up. If you’re on mobile, open in Opera GX or Chrome for Full Screen. Press the “share” button and press your internet browser should open it in that extension. Should fix portrait problem.

Ana

I can't believe a young Harry styles actually played young Tom riddle in this 😩😂

milfnyra mai

the first time i watched this i didn’t see the toothbrush in hermoine’s hand, so when ron said “you got a bit of toothpaste” i thought he was alluding to something else 😭

Ana

Harry off that liquid luck is one of my fav moments in the series 😂😂

JulioLG
>>157664734

Thank you, I was so "offended"(not haha) with the "bar by bar form the book" statement that I wasnt going to write anything, but your post made me feel a bit better. Just to add one of the most important differences to me, there is NO WAY Harry would obbey the command to stay hidden and do nothing while Dumbledore was cornered. What really happens is that when Draco arrives to the astronomy tower Dubledore uses the time he had to defend himself from the expelliarmus to temporarilly petrify Harry (with a non verbal spell so Draco wouldnt know there was someone else) because HE KNEW that Harry wont stay away from that (he was under the invisibility cloak at Dumbledore request to safely get to Snape). So Harry contemplates the headmaster's death petrified, with nothing to do no matter the desperation he was feeling, and he ran after Snape because the moment Dumbledore died the spell went away. And I can go on and on, damn what an awful adaptation, despite the 2 o 3 things they did well. I really hope the new series makes at least justice to the end of the story (books 6 and 7).

JulioLG
>>157675010

I hate the movies, I love the story and I never have spent a penny in merch or went to any activity, nor played any videogames based on the saga, so I consider myself as far of a "Potterhead" that one can be, still if you don't like this very bad adaptations people put you in that bag without a second thought.

7thdilemma

I am so here for the double feature.

JulioLG
>>157681534

For me the worst is that the info they left out is key to understand the outcome of the story. So in the end if you only watch the movies it doesnt make much sense. I could bare with a bad adaptation, but for me this is worse, they killed the resolution of the conflicts and plot lines of the whole story. And lastly, the books do have the romance part but is done well, in the movie the Ron - Lav - Hermione plot is ok (movie Lavender is not like in the books but it's a good change, very funny) but the thing with Harry and Ginny it's super cringy and makes no sense, in the book is totally different and you can understand why it happens.

Seth Aasland

you know, a thought occurred to me. have any of the Geks not watched the Hunger Games movies yet? because if so… 👀

Ashley K
>>157681534

Yeah I was always confused where Harry and Ginny’s romance came from thinking it was so out of the blue.

Lydia

Ahhh man these are my favorite reactions on the channel in a while 😩 can’t wait for the last two but also don’t want it to end

Etain

I just LOVE when the geks who watched before, all cringe at the same time for particular moment

Jas G

I hope you also do the Fantastic Beasts trilogy!

Lt.Charlie
>>157704863

A Squib is a human born to a Witch and a Wizard but whom has zero magically abilities

Manny

Wait am I tripping or do all the videos look different like there are pink outlines??

JellyLegs

There is SOOO much that is left out of this movie that was in the book. A lot of important information that is needed to understand what comes next. That is why a lot of book readers say that this movie fails for them. As a book reader with friends who’ve only seen the movies, I’ve had to explain things to them that weren’t shown in the movies because the last movies confused them. If they’d included all those important bits, I’d give this movie a higher score. Not to say that I don’t like it. I do still enjoy it. But I wish they’d done a better job adapting it with all the information we’d need.

1999

Harry in the cave with Dumbledore is my mom forcing me to drink medicine as a kid 😂

Ron Jackson Jr

when i was little i got scared of Dumbledore drinking that black water stuff and it made me think he would be dead but in the end, I'm just a chill guy

Sasha

Gosh. I got a little teary eyed too at the ring of fire.

Catric Bere

The 2 last movies are the best

Alex

The pink media player is pretty rough. Doesn't remember where you were if you refresh, doesn't function with chrome fullscreen plugin, and just generally buggy. Any shot others are having the same issues and vote to never use it again? :)

Dami

Yall please figure out another way to upload. Streamable ain’t it 😭😭 the video won’t even play for me on mobile with the app or safari

Vanesa
>>157760280

If you have a Chromecast just use the Google app to connect devices. Without the Chromecast I just used smart view on the phone to connect the phone screen to the tv.

Alex
>>157760280

Not talking about casting it anywhere. I have a 32:9 super ultrawide so I use the Windowed extension on chrome to do "Fullscreen" on just part of my screen. Issues with that are just a few of several bugs I ran into watching just this one movie on the new player.

Pavlo

Yall pls check ur PO box, pretty sure i sent it to the right address but want to confirm that u guys got it lol

Ron Jackson Jr
>>157760280

U have to refresh it so when u skip it doesn’t go back to the beginning i had that problem.

Alex
>>157760280

My problem was on refresh not on skip lol. Also I'm not using a laptop. Not sure where that idea came from.

Dumbledore casting that fire spell in the cave is personally my favorite scene in Harry Potter. He has so much aura

Guys please can you watch Narnia as the next movie 🥹😭

(is this simping) but whenever cannon looks like he’s about to cry watching hp, i want to give him a hug ✋

Kenie

Anyone else having an issue on the phone where they can watch on portrait mode

khalxeesi

It’s so funny to me how Brig loves Snape so much that Dumbledore’s murder got a gentle “dang” but the half blood prince reveal was a full shock

khalxeesi

Any chance you are going to react to Wicked when it drops for streaming?

>>157865971

he did call dumbledore dying like 20 minutes beforehand so that certainly lessened the impact

Nicholas Hopper composed the music for Half-Blood Prince. It's so good. It has some of my favorite tracks in the entire franchise (Fantastic Beasts have great ones and my favorite. "A Close Friend" is so beautiful.)

I really wish the movies talked more about Fenrir Greyback as a character because it makes his appearances and actions more threatening and scary. He honestly really scares me. The series as a whole did a poor job in building up the character development of the other school kids as well as others around them. This film barely hints at the relationship between Tonks and Remus. These are some of my favorite movies and the book series is basically printed into my brain. I'm excited for the series because the characters will be fleshed out more and things will be explained better.

Avital Lockhart

This is my favorite book, I enjoyed it a lot.. forgot how sad the first scene was. One thing I’m really sad they didn’t include is the story of Voldemort’s mother, I think it could’ve bring even deeper feeling for this movie. Also Brig is HIM, so fucking smart.
