Direction of episodes in Alabasta is really really good. Last scene is absolutely amazing, lighting, first silencing then just having the wind sound plus Crocodile VA killing it, incredible all around.

This is where we truly get to see how ruthless the Grand Line can be for newbie pirates. One of the things that I really appreciate about One Piece is that Luffy is strong, but in a few arcs he's not always THE strongest just because he's the protagonist.

everyone was glazing it like crazy when it first came out but ive never seen the appeal of it. i watched a few scenes and it just wasnt as good, its also missing all of the classic bangers in the soundtrack which is something im worried about for the Wit remake

Facts, to me it ofc isn’t as good as the anime or manga but the live action still was so fun to watch. It’s a bit different but still captures the essence of one piece which I think the geks could enjoy. I lowkey like some of the stuff in the live action more than the earlier parts of the anime(hot take)

Hate commenting late, but I'm literally watching one piece for the first time along with the geks and I REALLY don't get this whole hindsight merchant thing Brig is saying. When we're introduced to Sanji he's shown to be almost as if not equally as strong as the chef pirate guy who made it a year into the grand line. I just always assumed he was decently powerful. IDK why every time he fights they are surprised like he's USOP or something
