jessiefungirl

hmm I've been hearing a lot about this...

AlucardIV

I'm so happy you're watching this. As a manga reader, I can assure you that the action is top tier and only gets better.

Nashi

Thinking if this is worth it or not... seems like a mid spy x family which I already don't think it's that good

Zipzzty

Hope they do the anime good

Mysterious Figure

When did you guys suddenly decide to watch this? It wasnt on any voting list. Which show did it replace?

accomplice

Shouldve just focused on finishing other tv-shows and keeping on track with a schedule, not another bump on the ride.

sb123

quite clearly you havent read it

Nashi

I haven't but it's the vibe I got from every trailer.

Hector

It did not replace any show because it comes out weekly, weekly 1 episode animes do not affect the main shows they do through the week

Nashi

I don't like the jump on the hottest show for the sake of it as well but they gotta do what they gotta do ig

BigManSirob

I'm genuinely curious how you guys pick animes to watch because there have been a lot of anime that have been constantly recommended since basically the creation of the channel and haven't gotten reacted to yet and then sometimes you just decide to watch something completely out of the blue. Like you guys randomly finished Erased at some point?? When the hell did that happen and how was it decided? You guys really should communicate your juicy tier stuff better. Anyway I hope this show is good but its just a bit frustrating that you guys decide to fill the schedule with random stuff that the community hasn't voted for. If you really want to chase the YouTube views by reacting to something brand new at least put up a poll of which currently airing anime to watch.

BeautyWillSaveTheWorld

It's a little suprise they were talking about. We should be grateful 🫡 even though I haven't watched this yet

accomplice

fr once they started they cannot be stopped

Matthew Hunt Davies🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Didn't expect sakamoto days reactions, but the manga is really good, and i can only pray it will get a good anime adaptation. It has some of the most creative/best choreography I've ever seen.

Teaq

Scroll down

accomplice

Exactly, they couldve watched Frieren and save time..

Miitei

Is it a popular manga? I really don't know anything about it, only the MC was an assassin and now he is a family man. Never heard people talking about the manga either. I was considering watching just for the sake of it but I have no expectations. Let's see how it goes.

Kite

hopefully the anime is as good as the manga

Min Min

I'm really looking forward to the upcoming episodes

mina

omg i just finished the first episode and was thinking if you guys would react to it. yayyy🥳🥳

Robert

I mean that’s literally EVERY REACTION CHANNEL. They don’t just watch what you vote for , they also watch/react to what’s hot or what they want as well. No one solely reacts to what is voted for.

Robert

As long as it doesn’t affect their schedule I don’t see how it’s an issue. Solo and sakamoto on Saturday’s once a week doesn’t mess anything up

Teaq

They've said before that currently running shows don't take over one of their slots. Watching Sakamoto days doesn't make a difference for their other shows. They wouldn't post their other content any faster regardless.

BeautyWillSaveTheWorld

They should watch what THEY want. It would be nice to take our advices into consideration but they don't have to do that. If you forse someone to watch something they aren't that interested in I doubt they can enjoy it properly

Coen

Just a quick question, when are we getting the juicy tier reaction uploads? Pretty sure it was mentioned months ago that it would happen in the coming weeks, but haven't heard anything since

Chayma

Read the manga

kimwa

WHATT I didn’t know the anime was out already!! the manga is soo good! i haven’t read it in a while but every chapter i read kept getting better and better. hope you guys enjoy the ride!

kimwa

guys weekly shows aren’t usually on a poll and it doesn’t take up a slot on the main schedule :)

Mr. John Kagurabachi

IMO it’s a much better spy x family. The manga is absolutely goated but the anime adaptation might be mid tbh…

bearuber

yeyyy!!! you watching this <3

kimwa

mid spy x family is crazy 😭 i haven’t seen spy x family but give SD a chance! the manga is fire

acorns

yayyy!!

rvsty

ive never heard of this, is this comedy?

Teaq

They've said that shows that are currently airing don't take up one of their usual slots. From what I've seen, it's those slots that the community votes for. Things like this or dandadan are just extra.

Nashi

Is it action focused? Production didn't seem to be that good and I'm more plot driven

kimwa

i would say it’s action / comedy

kai

#seated hopefully the rest of the season is good cause i heard the manga is fire

Nashi

They could👀 jk

Fatipapi (Byakuya’s Girl)

OH??? Goddamnit i was lowkey really hoping yall would go for Kuroko no Basuke outside of the polls 😭

rvsty

ill watch it later, i hope its good!

Hector

That gang got the askeladd crew treatment when they fought Thor's

Hector

If you know you know

Mr. John Kagurabachi

This manga is really popular and is supposed to be part of the next big 3 replacing Demon Slayer/JJK. The fights and choreography are absolutely stunning. The problem is that the story is kinda mid and I’m worried if the animation is able to pull off those amazing fight moments. I feel like without a goated animation studio, it’ll be unable to match the original charm :/

𒉭

i think they just need to communicate with their scheduling better and it is lowkey frustrating that we could’ve gotten something else , that was on the poll but it is what is.

Hector

Yeah this are the new faces of shonen

Mr. John Kagurabachi

The Manga’s popularity is the same as Dandadan, Kaiju no 8, and Kagurabachi, which are the supposed to be the new gen up and comers

Hector

Already uploaded earlier this week

Min Min

This animation tells the story of Taro Sakamoto, a legendary hitman who, after retiring, leads a normal life with his family while still facing off against enemies from his past. The manga has received generally positive reviews, though opinions may vary, but I personally enjoyed it. Since the anime has just been released, it will be worth keeping an eye on.

Hector

Weekly shows do not count/affect the main schedule bro...

Hector

Have not seen any manga of this yet but episode 1 has me re-thinking my decision

roczilla_2000

Ah had to change my subscription got it

Mr. John Kagurabachi

I urge you to Google “Sakamoto Days Cover art” and you’ll be blown away

rvsty

@minmin great synopsis, im intrigue!

Zipzzty

Sakamoto is a lot more popular than Kaiju no 8

Zipzzty

Kagurabachi> fiction iykyk

Mr. John Kagurabachi

If ur hesitant about this show, yall should google “Sakamoto Days Cover art”. It gives you a glimpse of the amazing fights via its INSANE perspective.

Zipzzty

It’s good

Zipzzty

It’s way better than Spy X family in everything 😂😂😂

BH

Spoiler free I’m caught up on the manga, there is a real plot and its really good. You guys are in for a treat🍾🎉

Zipzzty

READ THE MANGA ITS PEAK

SaltyFish

Was there a problem with Mob on Thursday?

Marlon Douglas

Shin (blond guy) voice actor is the same as Mahito from JJK

Matthew Valentine

Shin voiced by Mahito VA I think, that’s actually fire

𒉭

it’s literally just constructive criticism, i said they need to communicate with scheduling better cuz idek what days they post some shows cuz it’s random sometimes and it’s not an official announcement . don’t know how that comes across as whiny , it’s like when someone gives an opinion that isn’t even negative, some of y’all can’t handle that.

maria⁷

is shin the voice actor for mahito??

aubrey

PEAK IS HERE

Nashi

People raved on and on about Dandadan and it's just a teeanage comedy show, so I'm skeptic on the hype nowadays

Süm

The manga is very good and it is still ongoing. It has like 196 chapters right now. I remember reading the manga and binging it in 3 days when it had like 150 chapters so I am really happy it got an anime adaptation finally. Glad you guys gave it a chance!

accomplice

@matthew the schedules was pinned and they took it away, that's the proof we need that they cant keep up with the schedules.

Wictor Whiskey Ahlund

The manga is SO fire. I'm glad it's finally being adapted & that you guys are giving it a shot!

jrnoodles

Thank you! No idea what this is. I'll see where this goes.

Jack

We took away the pinned schedule because we moved into other shows that weren’t part of that original schedule. We still upload on the same days and we’ve also explained that the last couple weeks have been crazy. We only take part in these “random shows” because they are newly releasing and we do it on our days off, so….. sorry that we’re giving you more 🤷‍♂️

Jack

We just saw that it was coming out around the same time as Solo Leveling and it’s on our day off so we decided to watch it

studiogek

Thank you to those who have responded correctly in these comments. Live airing shows that we choose to pick up dont take the spots of anything we are currently watching and we are almost always going to do a live release to a highly anticipated show because why would we not. The only show that always gets voted is the original patron voted show which is currently Mob. Nothing else gets voted. Sometimes we hold votes to see what people think but the only one that is concrete is the original anime. The live airing shows are ALL extra. And about the schedule, we made a post explaining why things are jumbled right now. It will be back to normal soon

Brig Andrus

Let Jack cook. Also if you’re a juicy tier member I really hope you’re in the juicy tier discord so you get our updates there!

Micah Seer

I swear you guys have explained this stuff a bunch of times. It’s your channel, some things don’t need to be explained. You guys are the creators, you do you. Studio Gek always peak

Enma

The manga is definitely one of the best among the newer gen. The style, character designs, and comedy are what really stood out to me among the other mangas. Its really enjoyable and has just a great vibe to it, I hope the anime does well in adapting the rest of the story.

Mason Schutz

@Micah, this is why people have recommended time and time again that they post weekly schedules showing what show and episode(s) they plan to watch that week, so then “surprises” like this don’t happen. Lol. They’re going to continuously get new people and they’re not going to know what the Geks said or didn’t say randomly in a video or comment section to a video they likely have not even seen. Comments like this are going to continue to happen as long as they aren’t transparent on what’s going to be watched and when. It’s to be expected when you’re a channel of this size watching this many shows at once. It’s 100% good they have some variety but difficult to keep up with if they don’t have a schedule that people can reliably refer to.

Zipzzty

And action

E L

I only read the manga so im pretty excited to watch the anime with u guys

neko

The questions will never stop coming in, not everyone is gonna read this comment or watch this reaction. There will be new patreons everyday and this cycle will just keep repeating.

kei hishaku

6:45 lmaoooo does anyone remember the discourse on twitter because of this

beannie

Yall reacting to peak back to back😭

kei hishaku

it literally has the best fight choreography and art in manga rn

beannie

the cast is perfect, that’s literally how I imaged he would sound😭

1999

Nani?

kei hishaku

I didn't expect how many complaints this reaction would get. Its EXTRA content for us, DOESNT take the spot of any other show, and is one of the most popular manga rn with the best fight choreography and art. why would they not watch it? its like getting mad at them if they watched jjk back when it first started airing. also where is John Stockton? he’s missing out peak

Riley

you guys are so epic for reacting to this😁

Riley

not being able to get dandadan’s underlying message and boiling it down to just a teenage comedy is very silly

Riley

w

Ben.

Wait, so if Mob is the only voted show and nothing else gets voted, will there not be a new Seinen show to replace Code Geass?

Riley

are you gonna cry about it?

Min Min

Maybe they don't know much about this manga, or since the anime just started, the reactions are still uncertain. It seems like this happened because people aren't aware of the exact upload schedule. The reactions might be messy right now, but in the future, there could be more positive feedback about this work. I hope more episodes come out soon. I'm really looking forward to it!

Nashi

Enlighten me. It's way too teenagy. It had one actual great episode.

Mahti

Been planning on reading the manga, but now I can watch it with you guys and decide if it's worth it. First episode was good

aj1294

Let’s go!!!

fcitifciti12

Carter same thought, the animation style is like moving comic/illustration.

Nico

Shins voice actor is Nobunaga Shimazaki. He voiced Mahito from Jujutsu Kaisen, Suna from Haikyuu, young Shanks from One Piece, etc... I would say dont expect much from Sakamoto Days in terms of power and ability (and plot but thats just me) in a sense that its very ridiculous. Though I guess its kinda obvious. Manga is around 170 chapters right now. And anime will have 2 cours, so around 23 episodes with first cour having 11 eps.

T.Yaseen

Let's gooo, glad you guys are reacting to this now

electriq

i just watched the episode on netflix before seeing this, anyone elses subtitles completely different from theirs?

lian

I was hoping y’all would watch this, the manga is rlly good

sil 🧸ྀི

omg!!!! im so glad you're watching this one aaa i have to get myself the manga bc ive been intrigued by the story for sooo long now that i watched the first ep im def excited and can't wait to watch alongside you guys woooo

Ffion

I was debating whether to watch this and I guess this is my sign that I should

Mr. John Kagurabachi

I feel like the adaptation is not bad but it’s not great. A solid 7/10 which makes me sad since the manga is a 10/10. IMO The manga is the same level as Dandadan but the anime adaptation is obviously way worse as of now :/

Gorira Kujira

One of my all time favorite manga

Qhoa

W

Shadow

One of the better new gen manga

Vallll

I just heard that the composer of this show is the same as Haikyuu’s, Yuki Hayashi, so it should have very good scoring. It seems like Hayashi was introduced into the industry by Sawano the Goat.

studiogek

I don’t understand how this is a 7

studiogek

Yes I didn’t know how to say it without sounding so stupid lol

James

Great first episode and I’m already tempted to buy the manga. And I can’t help to think that Sakamoto is dress as Mr Braun from Steins;Gate.

#1diavolofan

(Not hating but) was this the surprise series you guys teased a while back?

Mr. John Kagurabachi

The fight scene in the first episode didn’t have the same gritty feel and insane perspective art. It was still good but not 10/10 IMO.

rac coun

I recommend the manga wholeheartedly. It's very fun

Mr. John Kagurabachi

The manga is goated. The bro draw’s manga like how ufotable animates a show.

rac coun

I feel the same way, at least about this first episode. There was a lot of potential for an amazing anime in the source material. It feels like they didn't have a big enough budget or as usual, not enough time. I hope it gets better.

James

Just bought the first volume on Amazon for about $10, and I'll probably buy more later on.

jeekolo

9:44 in the dub bro said “get off my d!ck” lmao

Joie Dianzon 🇵🇭

You are reacting to this? Wow! 😄 Taro Sakamoto's VA is AOT's Marlo. The young soldier who died following Erwin during the suicide charge. Psychic Shin's VA is JJK's Mahito. I recognized it but had to do my research to confirm.

Adi Agustha

Consider orb, its ongoing too😅 and it’s seinen. Vinland/esque

Niffol

Yes its a popular manga. It's competing for top sales each week with the big bois. He does get called the John wick manga. lol Don't worry about the power system. I can simplify it for everyone. The Rule of Cool. If something is cool for a fight. it can happen.

James Moss

Always love seeing y'all react to airing shows like this one! Also random question do the recording of reactions in juicy tier get posted or do you have to watch it live? I would pay the extra money to watch the recordings since I prefer watching things in my free time but not on a schedule.

DCMH

Peak Saturdays

Xen0n

Jeez man, I see comment this on like every reaction.

Niffol

Sakamoto is very wholesome and fun. And the artwork in the manga. UUUUHHHH ITS SO GOOD. so many double page spreads with super detailed art. Very glad you guys are watching this.

Ayoodude

Exactly 😉

Ayoodude

Bleach …a man can only hope

James Moss

I would say maybe more like an 8/10 adaptation but I haven't read much of the manga. The action scenes were pretty good, but as a whole I just felt like there was just an extra 10-20% in terms of quality that other top tier Shonen adaptations have that this one didn't.

a_daichi

idk what this is but I'm gonna check it out later!

notchrisramirez

Whos got more aura farming? Gojo - Sung Jin Woo - Sakamoto

Noah

Sakamoto has been a hidden gem for a while now. Love this series man.

DontFailArtSchoolEren

Reminds me of One Punch Man with the blonde being cool like genos learning from the legendary master whos overpowered but chill and not taken seriously like saitama.

C2-H5-OH

I just watched this, this was absolutely peak for me. What a show!

Adin

No what was it lol

kei hishaku

any combination of jjk, sakadays, sakamoto, gojo, and geto in the twitter search bar you can find a lot more but these were the main ones I remember😭 https://x.com/kisspowa/status/1740494393952649265?s=46&t=Muu0i_rL5HuYAhHrHFUhnQ https://x.com/iwannalearnart1/status/1740866415337288139?s=46&t=Muu0i_rL5HuYAhHrHFUhnQ https://x.com/suguruismylife/status/1795042344250548542?s=46&t=Muu0i_rL5HuYAhHrHFUhnQ https://x.com/kisspowa/status/1795139611422752935?s=46&t=Muu0i_rL5HuYAhHrHFUhnQ

Frizen

Jin Woo by a landside, bro does completely unnecessary things just to look cool. Gojo and Sakamoto got some goofy whimsiness to them while Jin Woo is trying a bit too hard 🤣

T

This is the first show I'm watching along with yall for the first time and I'm so excited

Ayn Orbuda

Shin’s VA is the same as Mahito from JJK Sakamoto’s VA is the same as Gyomei from Demon Slayer, too.

Bambina

Hoping as well

#1diavolofan

Sweet… hoping and praying it’s jojo then 🥲🤞

E L

honestly this series just doesn't interest me at all, read the comment from carter that this is not the surprise series so I'm excited for THAT. I wonder if it's frieren or bleach

kkcat

I loveeee this manga and this animation is fire

Ayoodude

Indeed a banger of a first episode, love the tone

JayCnY

I really just can't put my finger on why shows like this, Mob Psycho, etc are just not appealing. I guess I just can't find the escapism because it all just looks so silly.

hugoruix

this probes it. All the main characters named "sakamoto" are op in pretty dumb ways

Dylan Roy

such a fun manga with a good mix of comedy and aura maxing should be a great anime

celery

I knew as soon as soon as I heard the song in that first scene he has such a unique style for soundtracks like this haikyuu and mha

Marwa Hassan

While they're made by different studios, the animation reminded me of mob psycho 100 and even dandadan a little. The bold lines and bright and saturated colors. There are still a lot of differences, but it did remind me of them a bit

Marcus D

Composer of the soundtrack for this Anime is Yuki Hayashi, the same one as Haikyu’s 🔥🎧

Marcus D

Yep, the Narrator is the voice of the goat Pervy sage🔥

MissJodles

I feel the same way, I knew as soon as the episode started that I was about to be disappointed. I'm an artist and huge animation nerd, and while its not the worst I've ever seen it does NOT live up to the source material. The animation had SO much potential with the level of amazing scenes, storyboarding and style that the manga has. Manga is a 9/10 for me but this episode was a 6/10. Just imagining what it could have been is hurting my heart a little bit.

Frosty

another Ninja Kamui reference without any explanation as to what happened :(

Marcus D

look it up, I’m sure there’s plenty of articles/videos on it

Frosty

I don’t want to know about the show, I want to know about the reactions. There’s never been a post, let alone a comment about their experience. Did they just stop watching the show based off what they heard? Did they record another reaction but they hated the show so much they didn’t want people to see their reaction to it? The very last upload they have of it, they seemed to enjoy it thoroughly

Marcus D

I don’t know but it fell off for most people, the animation and story declined heavily like half way through the season. So I’m not surprised if they just dropped it cold turkey.

llB0JANGLESll

yeah same. Just kinda gimmicky and been there done that vibes.

rian

where tf my bf can! 😤

C U

I appreciate when the group goes into a show/episode completely blind. I have noticed when you know the rating, especially when it is rated highly, you are " waiting/ looking out" for the cool event to come. I feel it takes away from your true reactions.

aespawn

I got this show strongly recommended, so I'm watching here first. Guess I'm joining Cannon's team

The RZA

Such a late reply but you probably recognize Shin's VA as jjk Mahito
