LET'S GOOOOOO, even if we get a string of bad episodes, we can always look forward to the PEAK that are Zoro fights.

Michael H

Niiice. I’m a huge One Piece fan, but that just means I’ve seen it enough to skip all non-Luffy or Zoro fights with a clear conscience. Glad you guys made it through.

Dreamknight942

Yessss, we are approaching the climax!

Ryker

at school rn but definitely saving this for when i get home

Storm

Always Can Count on Zoro For Peak🗣️🗣️🗣️

Hector

119 was a Cheff kiss

Toska Water

Haha, they're starving for Zoro. 😂

Ari

Thanks!!!

Hector

And geks trust me... Mr1 it's not really a hard counter to Luffy

Zipzzty

Fr Zoro the goat

codesterr

is the audio lower than usual or am i tripping?

Zipzzty

The GOATS

Zipzzty

Nah ur not tripping Gets better tho

menofhorror

Oda is a good author but he does showcase many weaknesses as an author (shown with examples like the climat tact and the pacing)

MissJodles

Apologies OP fans for borrowing your comment section, but I’m frothing at the mouth waiting for Mob ep 6 🙏

Hector

Zoro it's not stronger than Luffy at any point of the story...

Spoons

Might be personal bias but maybe chill out a bit on the future call outs jack 😂 Let em enjoy the moment

MissJodles

I’m only up to ep 50 watching in my own time so I’ve got a ways to go 🥲

Mitch

You must be able to cut everything, and nothing… 🐐🐐🐐

Mitch

Ehh but at this point in the story he’s very close to luffy let’s be real.

Landon

I’m gonna be so sad when they get to the TRULY bad pacing later on in this show…😭

Zipzzty

Starving for the goat 😭

Dasha

EARLY UPLOAD LETS GOOOOO

Dasha

you are so real for this. I'm so lucky to be a fan of both

CoLdBITeR

I found pacing mostly fine in the manga. The main issues you talk are from the anime which he isn't really responsible for.

CoLdBITeR

I wonder if it's possible for the geks to limit people to only writing one or two comments of their own and one or two under other people's comments. Recently I've been finding the comment sections of all videos loaded with people just writing over 5 comments of their own or others writing under every person's comments. They could easily just put their thoughts all into one large comment and only reply to a set few. Idk why these people feel the need to over fill the comment section. It just makes it an overwhelming situation to shift through all the comments to find some interestingly written ones. Just my own issue with it I suppose.

Zipzzty

This is why zoro is the GOAT THE GOAT

Zipzzty

Pacing is NOT odas fault 😭🙏 In the Manga it’s perfect

Zipzzty

He is and he’s a bad matchup for luffy

ROSS

in oda we trust jack

KrispyKenny

petition for 3 eps per drop so we can catch up in 3 years instead of 5. watching this live with the geks when it airs in 3 months is a fever dream at this point

menofhorror

Thats simply not true. The anime exaggerates yes but even the manga has plenty of pacing problems. Also while One piece have plenty of things to love about you notice on a rewatch Oda's weaknesses as a writer. And thats ok, no series is perfect.

Cade

lil early birthday present for myself! peak piece!

saDbo

Zoro vs Mr 1 is still top 3 Zoro fights for me, even after all this time 🔥 Also I'm glad you guys love Crocodile as a villain, he's still my favorite villain to this day even tho OP has got a lot of other great villains

Rayanh Shequinah Nansha

Carter was me at this point in time: "I need Luffy back in my life" [...] "Yeah Luffy, stop talking to me through the title, start getting into the show" Finally, my favorite Zoro technique is born: Ittōryū Iai: Shishi Sonson - One Sword Style: Lion's Song

saDbo

Also Luffy's coming back soon, dw 🥲

N P

Shishi Sonson is my favorite too, comes in so clutch that one time against a certain bear

Qhoa

W

Ante

I think Brig picked up on it, but I like that Zoro still outclassed Mr. 1 skill-wise before learning the rythm. I definitely wasnt expecting Zoro and Luffy to be as strong as they were when I started, and that was part of the hook for me. For some reason Zoro's reputation in the verse being basically equal to Luffy's increases the hype.

jrnoodles

Thanks Geks! Zoro OP.

saDbo

Same, he's just so freaking cool

cade-carter

He has so much drip, doffy is the only one who comes close

Richie Sour

These episodes were 🔥

saDbo

Agreed 👍

Niffol

As hard as it may seem to believe, there are lower lows to come bois. high highs, lowwwwww lows. like so low.

wanira 11

I forgot how cool that Zoro fight was

Niffol

LOLOLOL I LOVE the "Haku" meme lol

Seifren

really just not true at all

Niffol

if studio gek had a bingo card Jack saying "that's so interesting" would be on there.

Mahti

Only time I've ever had issues with the pacing of the manga is at Wano

DonDuh103

Zoros fight is so good he is the goat!

Mahti

You guys forgot to say thanks Jack

Jack

Yeahhh

Jack

😂

Jack

That’s a great idea

Jack

Don’t worry, One Pace will save us

Jack

I’ll try, I’m honestly just seeing the crazy stuff that Oda is foreshadowing and I can’t handle it

Jack

Apologies for the audio through most of the first episode! The mic was bugging and we didn’t realize until most of the way through, but we fixed it for the best moment!

Marcos

I know same here I had no idea “that” was mentioned right now

Marcos

Question for Jack what are the plans for the next saga. It’s split into a mini arc and than the main arc. Highly recommend using one pace for the arc but the mini arc before it is paced good

Pudding

At least we know that when it's a Zoro fight, it'll be epic everytime.

Mr. John Kagurabachi

6 episodes a week (3x2) is the perfect amount. More would be overwhelming and less is too slow. I rather have consistent 6 episodes a week than 4 episodes with occasional marathons.

Mr. John Kagurabachi

IMO the first half of the main arc is slow but the second half is goated and underrated af.

Mr. John Kagurabachi

I hate one pace pre-500, but ngl they would be loving this show wayyyy more if they used it for the past couple drops. Sad to see though 😔

Marcos

I completely agree the second half has some crazy foreshadowing and good back story

Mitch

It’s really a broken record at this point but literally every Zoro moment in this show is so freakin good. The most insane thing to think about is that Zoro vs Mr 1 aired in 2002 over TWENTY TWO YEARS AGO and 3 years before OG naruto even aired. Its that old and still a peak anime moment that holds up so well to this day 🐐

ahmad

Yes!!!!

KrispyKenny

did some digging bc I was curious if the slashes actually went through zoro to cut the pillar behind him but turns out it's just animated poorly, it's not a writing defect. Manga panel shows the cuts above where zoro is: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/990880427042570270/1332118351509590036/Screenshot_20250123_174126_Chrome2.jpg?ex=67941764&is=6792c5e4&hm=0ca65fe30ba7475e8b730d2b1e49e04da73dff07f9aa56aefd6416006e83c217& Before this id always reference Saitama erasing the mountain behind genos lol

Pace

This is why pacing is important. It drags down the story

Pace

One piece is looney toons on purpose, dont apply real world logic you will always be disappointed if you do. ITs not a writing flaw its literally the style.

Pace

You can just tell from the group dynamic that Jack Hyped this anime so much for these guys so they are naturally inclined to call it out, because if you treat something almost like a religion or put it on pedastal so forcefully for others, it will cause them to knee jerk. Like you can feel the tension or fustration between them sometimes lmao it aint that deep.

Pace

Jack should just stop hyping it & stop sending social cues to influence "what" scenes are hype and what is being foreshadowed because thats just annoying and would cause anyone to then push against. Let the story cook on its own and let them fall in love with it on their own they don't need someone to accentuate or communicate what the story is doing. Most of us hated one piece before it became our GOAT

Ryker

40:55 jack d. goat

Ulises Flores(Uliee.)

Day 5️⃣ of asking the geks to add one more episode per drop 😭. Tap that like button if you agree

Cannon Andrus

Dude it isn’t just Jack hyping up one piece, it’s the entire world. And with one piece, I can put aside the looney tunes to a degree but the degree the pacing and fights have been before the zoro fight have been objectively awful, I’m sorry

Jack

I’ve obviously hyped it since I’ve seen it, and the tension may seem really deep on camera but I’m not offended by what they’re saying, I know it has flaws and I totally understand that. They’ve also been told my so many people that the anime is hype since it’s a literal worldwide phenomenon and has so many lovers

Jack

I’m gonna let the story cook, I’m obviously not spoiling but this is my second time watching since starting it like 2 years ago, I’m learning new things as we watch as well. I have to react as well

Cannon Andrus

Guys ODA can be one of the best writers of all time and still have weaknesses, we all do🤣 he’s not perfect

bobqueen16

It's nice rewatching because I can pay attention to other things like how amazing the voice acting is. Since her first appearance Vivi's voice actor has been amazing and I am glad it is being appreciated by the geks

Murasaki

Yes Cannon he is not perfect but the pacing in the manga is very good. Actually rarely a manga would have pacing issues bcs of the way it tells a story, like multiple dialogues on the same page so no need for characters to talk one by one, no unnecessary scenes as writers wouldn’t waste time to draw anything not important.

Murasaki

Usually the manga story flows so fast that it sometimes makes me overlook some logical flaws of the story, which would be more obvious in the anime.

Marcus D

Tell them jack. I’m still learning new things and this is my 4th watch through(over 10 years) lol. What’s the point of you being there if you can’t give your own feedback.

Marcus D

When it’s comes to world hyping one piece I hope the boys won’t expect one piece to be amazing for the same reasons shows like JJK and HxH are hyped for. Maybe Attack on titan for the depth and complexity of the story/world but not the fighting. Please don’t expect one piece to be seen as one of the best because of the fights, that is not one of the reasons it became so loved(imo). One piece only started getting consistent amazing fight animation love around 2019, alabasta came out in 2002.

Toska Water

I hope you don't stop talking entirely just because a few people complain. I'd rather you just keep being your authentic self.

Pace

Yea the pacing is shit no one is denying that, that’s why it’s getting a remake that actually does justice to the story

James Kropiwka

32:53 that face you made after asking why crocodile wasn't doing anything made me laugh so hard. xD

Pace

That’s also why I said you should watch one PACE cause the pacing is shit 😂

Pace

Yes exactly one piece is known for its world building and interconnected story, Lore, foreshadowing. Animation and and adaption of the anime drags this out so it takes a while to realise why it’s the the GOAT

Vega

One piece characters are crazy tanky. this low level stuff tbh.. a bullet is like a pebble for most characters. Are yall watching on netflix? These subs feel weird.

Pace

I would definitely use one pace for the second part, otherwise it’s gonna be such a drag for them. And also speed things up to water 7

Pace

That’s what I was trying to say too, in my own way ✨ I wasn’t tryna be mean lmao

Pace

That’s anime adaptation not oda tho, in the manga it went by so quick and I enjoyed it way more than

rr bhdz

Nothing happened

sesaka

Is there a reason you guys arent watching one pace?

Nashi

Whats is this audio bruh

Sun

isn't it totally normal to hype up a show you love? The contrast and variations in reactions is what makes the second watch for me even more enjoyable

DonDuh103

Zoro so goated he don’t need to be made of steel! Crazy how many episodes we haven’t seen luffy too give luffy back!?

Zess

I thought it was the next big arc, but I was wrong apparently. Didnt pick up on this one until now, and I've already re-watched this arc before lol

Zess

That lessens engagement which is never a good thing. It'd be one thing it if was ASCII spam of among us penis like on twitch or something lol but it's people thoughts and opinions. Just skim and keep scrolling the ones you feel are saying too much. People also have conversations that go much further than 2 replies, which isn't a bad thing.

Zess

Mr 1 would unfortunately wreck Luffy at this point in the story. People can be stronger than the other, but matchups are always important. We learn this sometime soon, if you know you know.

Keiji

Omg all this hate for Nami. Just imagine the possibilities. Think of how great she’d be at parties!

Sandi uchiha

Nami’s fight >>> zoros fight😌

EmlovesOP

we all need luffy :(

Quisel

Wow I didn't realize 'til this rewatch that there's been so many major plot points hinted by Oda as early as Alabasta, especially the one mentioned from last episode and now Zoro using that power, can't wait 'til it all makes sense for you guys as you progress through future episodes

Keiji

Can you edit so the geks don’t know what the powers can do? But yeah. That means we saw three types by this point. Edit: I thought deleting my comment would delete the thread 😭

Sun

YESSSS 👸 ⛈

Amare D.

damn the arc is almost over

Isaiah

Thanks for the reaction boys! Any of y’all got picks for championship weekend in the nfl?!

MegMegMegg

Bro, he's just genuinely excited. You want him to sit there and do nothing?

MegMegMegg

Honestly the next arc was my hardest to get through on the first watch, so I second this. Of course, now the arc slaps for me, but can't deny it's a rough watch.

MegMegMegg

Really only one more arc that sometimes doesn't hit right for me. Everything after that I enjoyed every bit of immensely on my first watch.

Ari

love both a lot

Ari

pleaseeee

Ari

I'd recommend using One Pace for the next saga's main arc (not the mini arc). At least for the first part, the second part is so good

Ari

It's just the next saga's main arc, just the 1st part for me though

Ari

that's a good idea

Pace

No obviously not, I’m talking about overhyping, which is a thing, don’t have to take it so aggressively

kuza

40:52 ahahahah

Marcus D

Cook Keiji 🗣️🔥😤

kuza

feels so much shorter than i remember it to be

Marcus D

Reminds me of another crazy scream later on. Amazing voice acting by them.

Marcus D

Don’t forget the characters, some of the best parts of one piece are the characters and their interactions with each other. Excellent and realistic character writing by Mr. Oda

JojoJack

Figured as much they would glaze all over Zoro’s fight

Jack

I know!!!

Jack

We will watch it for certain arcs but we’re trying to keep it as true as possible to the original

Quisel

don't listen to people trying to say that you should stop being hyped lol you're the representative of us rewatchers because your reactions are so relatable^^

Jeff

40:25 haha definitely for the effect. anything can but cut up but people it seems. The wind 'blades' in Naruto and the trees😂 I see you too.

Amare D.

where these angry people came from just let people have their opinion with hype or not gosh this negativity in these comments is crazy over an opinion.

beannie

leave my boy jack alone😪😪 idk why ppl feel like they have the right to tell others how they should experience a show? it's not the end of the world if they like or dislike your favorite fight, or if they get super hyped for something or not, it will never be that deep ya'll. some of you really need to be more respectful in the comments, the geks are not reaction machines (it's lowkey ridiculous that i have to say this😭)

Richie Sour

Philly is a lock im afraid

Lydia

💯

Mitch

Chiefs Nation Stand Up!

Rhettoric

W reaction and I'm loving the Vivi love

Isaiah

Yeah i definitely feel for the geks , it seems like a lot of their long running shows end up with volatile comment sections due to the fact they do real reactions. People are so attached to the shows they feel personally attacked if some of the geks don’t like a small moment or even an episode. I am very glad that they still give their honest opinions even with the negativity they get from it at times.

lian

the next arc is kinda underrated i really liked it even on my first watch, i dont think they need one pace for it or at least not most of it

BeautyWillSaveTheWorld

Agree, some moments in this arc were definitely worse than Syrup village

kaan

I like that Zoro is having flashbacks of crew and wonders if they are okay when he is having his near death experience. After these thoughts he gets his “power up”. Being strong for its own sake wouldn’t help zoro further I think but his duty and desire to protect his crew allowed him to go further and get stronger.

Kite

what do you mean stones and rhythm? is this Stormlight? 🤨🧐

esie ♡︎

not some of these comments hating on jack for enjoying the rewatch when this literally happened when the guys watched AOT for the first time 🙄 anyway…never be silenced jack, have fun and enjoy your rewatch to the fullest 🤺 also Vivi goated VA ong 🧎🏻‍♀️

rr bhdz

I don't know and I don't think that this is a spoiler but, just a minor heads up, Oda doesn't like to kill people because he likes to draw them at the final party of the arc (this trend doesn't necesarily continue).

Storm

Get em

Adeeb Alothman

it's not overhyping, maybe you don't like it as much as we do

andrew haynberg

I disagree. I love oda sense of humor but not in the middle of a bloody battle. It kind of ruins the pacing and your immersion a little.

Poragami

i don't think they talked a lot in the AOT rewatch?

sesaka

If it ruins someones experience and makes it so they cant watch the peak. Then its worth it to cut the filler out

Pace

lol I’m not the only one who expressed this, ppl have different opinions they are free to express in the comments lmao

SlyMorris

I got full body chills when Zoro cut Mr. 1 man...

A

i think he said somewhere that death isn’t the ultimate consequence in this world, it’s the loss of one’s dream, the inability to realize a dream. that’s why people don’t die, they simply change or are rendered incapacitated with respect to their aims. might be misremembering the idea but i thinkkkkk i remember reading he said that

Matt Haloostock

I didn't really notice on my first watch but the VA for Vivi is so good. Give her some flowers

Liza

Love your guys reaction to Zoro's fight. 😂😁😁

Liza

aw that so cute wishing for Luffy to comeback to the screen again 😊and I find it funny when things goes south, you guys say "thanks alot Jack" or "why hasn't this happened" and then boom it does and your reaction to getting what you asked for is so priceless hahahah 😂
