wheres Op and mob?

Sissy Six

🎶Duh nuh nuh nuh nuh 🎶

Cannon Andrus

One of the craziest episodes ever!!!

Seth Aasland

If it’s a no intro episode that’s how you know to lock in

emma.bean

I don’t think I’ve ever said “WHAT IS HAPPENING”, “WHAT?!” etcetera aloud so many times watching an episode of tv as I did during this episode lol. I love this show so much.

Alex

Everyone freaks out and your just chilling 🤣🤣🤣

GreetswithJudgement

Y’all did not just scream like that 😂 We need to watch more horror on this channel lol

Elle B.

This is why I need them to watch The Haunting of Hill House. Lol

Anya

Burt in the forest gave me Sleepy Hollow vibes🌑😨

Elle B.

I love Irving so much. My favorite character, next to Devon.

GreetswithJudgement

Irving is definitely my favorite character! This episode solidified it! And honestly this was my favorite episode of this season so far.

Anya

Irving taming his own temper of woe. Such a well written character. He was the one "drinking the kool-aid" of Lumon and now he sees through all their bs. I hope he does team up with outie Mark to burn that place to the ground. His "Yes, do it Seth" was said with such loathing I loved it! 🤣😂

ahmad

Irv COOKED

Anya

I think Helena is speaking from the heart. She's experiencing a life of her own. I bet there were expectations of her since birth. I'm sure she had no choice but to continue on the Eagan philosophy. She probably feels freedom. Throw in camaraderie too. Since she's so high up I don't think she has genuine friends out there.

Anya

Their pseudo counterparts could be early prototype, projections, or animatronics. Optics and Design did have 3d printers🤔

Alan

Dude the subtle facial expressions between Irv and Helena this episode where mmmmmwah chefs kiss. If Helly doesn’t get an Oscar for this episode they’re dropping the damn bag

Ron Jackson Jr

So, no wonder Irving wasn't there to promote the severance opening with Ben Stiller

Sissy Six

“YES… DO IT SETH” 🔥

Owen

please watch the glory. it's k-drama

Calen L

😭bruh the last thing Helly heard was that her friends would suffer for her actions bc of the speech and she just wakes up to irving getting 💀

Alan

Also I think it’s interesting how Helena calls for mark instead of Mr milcheck

DownstairsRug

Are you guys doing an invincible season 3 reaction?

Anya

Always the best defiant lines! Simple words spoken with such emphasis! Idk what's better that or "let's burn this place to the ground" 🔥🔥

Anya

Same! I turn into Stone Cold Steve Austin watching this show! 🤣🤣

C2-H5-OH

That one scene with the ghost bride where you all screamed confirmed it: Studio Gek HAS TO react to something in the horror genre. Maybe Haunting of the Hill House. It will be PEAK

Sissy Six

All the actors in this show are incredible, especially the ones that have to perform as two different versions of the same character with innies and outies, but I have to give extra flowers to Britt Lower here. Her Helena in contrast to Helly was already so impressive but then to have to go a level deeper and play Helena pretending to be Helly.. the nuance with which she did that is really pretty incredible.

C2-H5-OH

Holy shit I just realised, the next chapter in the book called "Kier and the Thieving Nanny" is about Cobel, and the whole book is probably written by Ricken like that lady from Lumen was asking him to

Dev

Irv my goat

Sissy Six

Also the attention to detail and the Easter eggs in this show.. the gift that keeps on giving. Like last episode Dylan’s wife was dressed EXACTLY like Pam from the art show episode of The Office, down to her necklace and hair, and even the shot of them hugging mirrored the shot of Pam hugging Michael… and people noticed that Helly, Irv, & Dylan’s locker numbers are all numbers from the iconic Lost sequence of numbers. Cute little hat tips. But the stuff you can find and the rabbit holes you can go down with this show are endless. I just can’t help but geek out about this show man.

jblakk

OH NOOOOO! The baby in the opening credits might be the baby Mark and Helly/Helana just made!!!

James Moss

Lmao Solo Leveling S2 was my exact first thought too lol. (also crazy episode this show is so freaking good, the last sequence was intense af)

Andrew Lynch

This episode is such a banger genuinely tell all your friends to get on severance people even though it’s getting more popular it’s still so underrated for how good this is. Like besides how crazy the plot is, the cinematography and sound design on this show are so fricking good like the show is so rewatchable

Seth Aasland

the look Helena gave Irving in the tent certainly had malice written on it

Andrew Lynch

I think you’re on to something with the thieving nanny but I don’t think wrote it, it’s too soon from last episode and I don’t think that kier story sounded like him

emma.bean

ok so Kier Eagan definitely murdered his own twin brother by drowning him at Woe's Hollow and then wrote about it poetically to make it sound like he was just magically turned into a tree for whacking it, right? that story sus as hell.

James Moss

Apparently the numbers on the computer in Irving's dream showed Eagan and Helly's face, which is how Irving got onto the theory that she was an Eagan (besides already being suspicious and knowing she wasn't Helly based off her being cruel to him) Your guy's reaction to that jumpscare was hilarious haha, maybe y'all should film a reaction to a horror movie. I really doubt innie Irving is permanently gone, although I doubt we will be seeing him for the near future. It will be really interesting to see where this show goes. It's getting so messy with the whole Helena / Helly / Mark S. / Mark Scout / Gemma love pentagon and with them seeing Irving's innie essentially executed in front of them. This show is seriously peak.

Thane Clark

41:50 i’ve NEVER seen you all jump like that 😭

Thane Clark

53:35 in the first episode they said on the news an innie got pregnant and found out as an outie

Stefan

the dangling ice hands might mean a cold handed puppeteers pulling the strings ( maybe all the outies are in on it ? maybe they themselves are their own puppeteers)

Kim555

Why are we still debating if it’s Helly R. 😭😭 that’s obviously Helena. Helly R. haven’t seen them since she was outside, otherwise she would’ve told them everything immediately

SuperChuckABoo

I find the twin talk interesting. When you get severed you essentially create a twin of yourself, just sharing the same body. I wonder what experiment Lumen is trying to do with Gemma and Mark that ties in with the Eagens. Cobel was bringing in outside stuff to see if it would trigger memories between them. Is Dieter just Kier's severed twin? Is that why he was gooning in front of him lol. I don't know this show is existential af

Kim555

Now what did yall skip at 36:06 😭? Cause I watch the episodes raw on patreon

Ron

Alo needs to pay Brig atp for all the free promo lol

Huh

He was actually modeling with mads mikkelsen 🧎‍♀️lumon knows about the dilfs

Huh

Girl just watch the full ep on soap2day its free 😭

Pats

Maybe dieter is another side of Keir - they could be the same person and keir cast aside the ‘evil parts’ of himself (dieter) like an early version of severance. There was a line about them being together forever in the ethereal mill or something

Kim555

I have apple tv free trial on the tv 🧍 too lazy to check few seconds

NMP

“You’re telling me this is 270” and immediately I know it’s Luka in that ugly ass yellow Lakers jersey lol

Ron

Are you guys gonna watch Invincible Season 3?

lololol

YESSIRRRRR WE CALLED DAT SHI

Mysterious Figure

Guys, the sales pitch has really become a meme at this point. All of your reactions being "raw, uncut, unedited"... and as you are saying that, edits happen seconds before and after... I get why you are doing it, I really do. Its how youtube works. But there is also a way to do it and not make people feel stupid. Not to mention, in the last episode of Season 1 of Alice in Borderland, Brig was about to give some of his criticism about the show, but he was literally cut MID sentence by your edit - WHY? I really dont see why you would feel the need to censor anything you guys say after how direct you were during all of GOT episodes. Thats what I personally appreciate and why I like you guys. I dont have a problem with edits and cuts, but at this point it really sounds silly when you keep repeating your sales pitch to us as if we are blind and stupid, since there are plenty of stuff you cut and edit out, and not all of those are interruptions and phone calls etc. So, every time you give the obligatory sales pitch it feels like Im being sold a cheap commercial. And especially after that Brig edit, Im now not even sure how much of yourselves you guys pulled back or censored, which makes me sad. Cant you just say, our FULL COMPLETE versions are on patreon or something similar that is actually true? I feel like that sounds cool too. Ofc, you do you. These are just thoughts from someone that liked and supported your guys' authenticity since day one.

Cannon Andrus

Mysterious figure. The raw unedited footage is referring to anything inside the episode. Of course intros and outros are going to be cut.

Jackson Carter

Lots of the time we are calling out our patreon because we want people to go check it out as well!

Kim555

Oh damn. Good thing yall notice things like that. I got a flashback to AOT s1 finale missing footage 💀

Mysterious Figure

I really appreciate the honesty in your reactions. So I hope you keep your honest thoughts throughout, and dont feel the need to cut any of those out as we have seen in that Alice in Borderland Brig comment cut. I dont really care about any other type of cuts and edits other than the ones that discredit your authenticity, for which I appreciate you guys most.

Pavlo

THIS WAS CRAZY

Mysterious Figure

@Pulse Imagine having something to say about what Ive actually said instead of talking about me. Its literally my whole experience on this Patreon comment section in the last two years. It is really disappointing.

Sissy Six

He is such a gem. The absolute stank he put on that “Seth” was soooo satisfying.

neko

in hindsight, it made sense that it's Helena all along since Lumon won't risk on the chance that Helly would tell them everything about her outie.

Vlad Lena

The first half of the episode was weird, but the second half was CRAZY! and yes, I was 51% sure that it was Helly, and 49% sure that it was Helly. I conceived that replacing Helly with Helena would have made the plot more interesting and twisting, but on the other hand, they would have fooled everyone if Haley had turned out to be herself And I’m pretty sure what Helena/Mark thing is real! Who know what her life was like in such a family? Maybe it was the first time she could freely develop a relationship with someone she had feelings for?🤷🏻‍♀️

Sanji

Mark: “I don’t care who you are on the outside. I love the you that you are right now” CRAZYYYYYYYY thing to say 😭

JulioLG

What an original, well writen, perfectly acted, beautifully shot episode. This show is putting a fight to enter my top 3

Goat

That's a crazy non-spoilery spoiler to put in there omg

Goat

Besides the next level acting, cinematography, sound design and mind boggling plot, the editing in this show is so effective and fits the storytelling so well! the way they transition from scene to scene and seamlessly blend in a few different pov's... man you could tell this show is a passion project of many creative minds 🔥🔥🔥

Jacob Zamora

What a fantastic episode. I had to rewind all of you screaming a couple times. Actually hilarious.

Anton Sakshaug

I will forgive them for not doing the intro this episode cuz it cooked

Jada

It would be an Emmy considering the fact that this is a tv show and not a movie

Zess

His shadow self that often gets referred to being in the forest when talking about that theory from Jung.

Zess

To be fair on your last comment there, you used to say some pretty toxic shit in these comment sections lol you've chilled out though since then.

Zess

Or it's his shadow self being manifested for the story.

TVGirl

The way you all got scared from this tells me everything I need to know that you will all love hunting of hill house!!!

Caleb

Irv is 100% reintegrated, just based on his vocabulary, some of the things he says only an outtie would know, so hopefully when milchick changes him back to his outtie nothing happens

Brady

Lol if they got this scared by that jumpscare we're gonna need some horror movie and/or hill house reactions

chloe s.

irving's character development is so well-written. from revering the eagans to almost killing one. aaaaaahh i love show so much

chloe s.

the elevator ding feels like the trigger to switch between outies and innies. i cant remember if this happens in s1, i need to go watch and confirm. but early this s2, we heard dings for everyone except helly when they went down to the severed floor. this epi we heard that ding when helly switched back but we never heard that ding when mr milchick fired/killed irv so it's really plausible he is reintegrated

chloe s.

irv's last words to dylan was definitely some sort of secret message cos "hang in there" is not something irv would say i think but let's see

chloe s.

i agree. like her comment about dieter's dick was really helena's opinion lol. and when she made that ice seal for irv was not her trying to act like helly. she sounded genuinely sorry during that confrontation with irv

chloe s.

and 100% convinced now that cold harbor is cloning people as we literally saw clones of the 4 of them in this episode

Animeke

I don't think I can forgive myself at the beginning for thinking this episode wouldn't cook.

Charles Hesketh

Those were animatronics. Remember how freckles said in episode 1 of season 2 that her old branch had animatronics of kier and past ceos in their perpetuity wing

chloe s.

ive thought about that as well but these ep's version seem more life-like than those ate perpetuity wing

Dami

Brig, that jacket is drippy

Brady

At the end of the episode, Irving tells Dylan to "Hang in there". We saw in the first episode of season 2 a poster that said "Hang in There" in the break room. I'm guessing Irving hid a message/map/something related to the "exports" elevator behind that poster.

Gilded Jackal

There's a baby Kier in the intro... I'm betting Helly is preggers now.

S Moonchild

I was so scared during dream sequence, like the whole episode was eerie, but that little woe girl was very creepy. And people were suggesting you to watch Haunting on the hill house, from what I know it is very scary, my 30 year old colleague said he stopped watching it cause how creeped out he was. I will not be joining that watch, my scary tolerance is very low haha

Jmann

Am I nuts or did they name it “scissor cave” to shout out SZA cause she loves severance and Ben stiller loves her

UnKay

The number of popular shows over the decades that weren't well received right away would shock these days.

UnKay

I had to look back at which comment you replied to because I swore I saw Emmy. Sometimes my editor brain edits as I'm reading others words too I guess. Trippy.

UnKay

The rebelliousness of Helly is Helena's deepest desire under her circumstances.

Alan

That too but she was in panic mode atm so idk. I think she called out to the person she relies on most. I think during the manipulation she started developing feelings of her own

Alan

Honestly I knew I was wrong but I watched this at like 1 am and couldn’t think of the word for it so I just said Grammy to get the point across. Potato tomato

UnKay

Interesting juxtaposition if his outie has already been on the case against them. Has he already been going through the integration process long before this? Is it now complete? They *almost* perfected propagandizing Irv's innie toward the company cause, so this has got to be a major fail/possible set back to their ultimate goals? 🤷🏾‍♀️

Alan

I’m making a prediction and I think I’m cooking. I think that the way that they are finally able to get Gemma out of the Lumon dungeons is through Helena. She said to mark that she doesn’t like who she was on the outside, that could’ve been a manipulation to try to cover for the gardener shit but I think that’s Helena’s genuine feelings. It also doesn’t feel like Helena is completely bought into the whole Eaganism cult bs the same way say Milcheck and Cobel are. The laughing at the book is the only concrete evidence that I can think of now which could’ve been an act but I don’t think so. I also think that she was gaining feelings for mark through the whole mole experience because it doesn’t seem like she got much affection from her dad just from what we know about how their interactions happened. A few points on this - He/the board didn’t know she had almost died in the elevator in season 1 until a certain point that’s when Cobel got in trouble. - That means that Helena didn’t tell HER FATHER that she almost died. - Mr. Eagan said “thank you for doing this” to her in the bathroom hinting that she was doing it to help him out. You could argue that she was doing it for the company, but I think her main deep character drive is pleasing her dad. - in her little video speech she talked about the having to say the core principles every night before bed and not always being happy about doing that kind of as a joke but there’s more there it feels like. She also obsessed over the kiss between mark and helly when rewatching the tapes. Or at the very least was taken aback by it. That very well could’ve been her first kiss. It seems that she’s devoted most of her energy to Lumon and doesn’t have much of a life out of it. So time to cook. Helena is doing all of this, not for the company, because she craves the approval of her father because she’s experienced a lack of it in her life. She goes to the severed floor and experiences the connection with Mark partially as a mole but partially because she wants human affection. She’s started to show she actually cares for mark. She’s being vulnerable with him in the tent, calling his name when she was being dragged by Irv, etc. so these feelings eventually escalate over time to a point where she’s put in a position to do what mark wants and what he wants is to save Gemma. Also in terms of storytelling I think that would be a very unique way to tie it all together. And who else would have the power to accomplish all of this narratively.

Anya

Yes, I believe he was sent in as a mole or was going through reintegration. He could be in contact with Reghabi. Maybe he's one of them that she "got better" with reintegration. Now I'm wondering if him seeing the paint in s1 was light reintegration signs. I wonder how long they'll fill in his spot. I feel like they'll always need four workers...

Anya

Yes. Looks similar to the man in the suit that was watching mark in the hallway.

Ron Jackson Jr

damn good theory bro u are cooking this theory but damn I didn't know her name was Helena

Mysterious Figure

This seems plausible. I wrote something similar the other day. What Id like to add here, and what your post made me think of, is that it would be interesting if Helena and Helly experienced some form of "integration" but in a different, more organic, natural manner, bypassing the Lumon tech in their brain. We are basically shown Helena becoming more and more like Helly, for several reasons. She wants to get closer to Mark to experience affection she never seemed to get from her father, and in the process of doing so she is becoming less and less like the cold, distant Helena, while taking on more traits of her innie self - Helly. And so, ironically, Helena, starting out as a mole character might actually become a traitor to her own cause. It will happen, I am sure of it! She could just be the character to prove how innies are never and will never be completely different people than their outie counterparts, because at some core level Lumon can never actually COMPLETELY separate, or "SEVER" all memories entirely. We have already seen examples like Irv where he remembers through his paintings, so obviously Severance isnt as perfect a procedure as Lumon might want. Other obvious examples are therapy sessions innies have where they are comforted by being told what their outies are like - why would they even have any reaction other than being indifferent to what their outies are like, unless they STILL have some connection to themselves? So yeah, Severance is far from perfect. And this is probably Lumon's biggest problem in this show - this also feels to me like Cobel's biggest motivation. She seemed to always show the most frustration when innies show strong emotional reaction or connection to something related to their outies, which implies Severance isnt working as she might hope it would.

UnKay

Yeah she seems to put on a people pleasing mask to cope with the unwavering expectations from her father and everyone around her, relatable lol. Will the integration procedure work naturally through Helena trying so desperately to reconcile with the extreme conflict within herself? Great theory.

UnKay

They don't want him to sound like him though, they're now utilizing him as propaganda for innies and company.

UnKay

But...you said Oscar, what are you doing to me?! Lmao 🤣 Now I feel like it said Grammy and that's why I read Emmy, but by the time I wrote my comment you changed it to Oscar? No wonder I'm confused. Also I'm definitely not giving you a hard time, I just find it all wildly amusing. 😊

Alan

Damn my editor brain is messing with me too because I would like to say I did that on purpose but that definitely was a accident

UnKay

Yes that's exactly what made me think this, all signs point to that being a reintegration experience, especially now. I also thought the logical conclusion with his inny (innie?) being canned would be reghabi stepping in to recruit him, but evidence of his outy sleuthing, implies he might already be in with Reghabi. We might come back to him making a reveal of his own about being a mole the whole time, and I kind of wouldn't be surprised if Milichick has already suspected as much.

Apalexas

There is also the fact which mark got told about. That the innie and outie are basically the same person, they laugh at the same jokes and wear the same haircut etc. That being said, i think hellys personality is helenas real personality, because she has no recollection of her bad dad and her "trauma" to repeat the 9 core principles and so on. So i think Helly is who helena would have become, if she didnt went through that kier bullshit. Hope its understanable what im trying to say.

Eiden Porter

Cannon's face at the jump scare is priceless

Eiden Porter

This was a really nice way of changing up the setting from the office

jrnoodles

Thank you! Irv cooked a full course meal there. I don't know if someone else answered, but during the chapter reading by the fire, Miss Huang played an instrument called the theramin, it's an electronic musical instrument controlled without physical contact. It's pretty cool.

Niffol

My friend and I are convinced Lumon is making fake people. Ms. Casey is a fake person. She's Mush

Niffol

Weakest episode in the show i think. Felt like filler. why wouldn't the innies charge the Kage Bunshins pointing them along?

Ron Jackson Jr

Dylan's mouth every episode: 👁️0👁️

Ernesto Blanco

if you can turn the volume up on the show or turn your voices down just a little bit please and thanks

Madison

Irv is HIM. one of my all time fav characters

Garreth

This show always gives me BioShock vibes

Garreth

Ok y'all's reaction to the Irv nightmare has me convinced y'all gotta do some scary/horror movies reactions

Nrock23

I miss brig :(
