Just been wondering what’s up with sakamoto days

‎

I thought y'all dropped it lol

Maroki R6

Oh I thought it was the audio of the actual reaction lmfao. If it’s just the video it’s all good 👍

C2-H5-OH

Well thankfully you still have the audio from the camera, so not too bad of a choke. Shit happens, no worries!

Betsy

No worries, thanks guys. Brace yourself for the grand reveal! 👀

Saki 🏴‍☠️✨

getting mob, one piece, anddd alice and borderland uploads one after the other right after i finish the previous one,,peak

KrispyKenny

To Carter: I like Chishiya wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more in the manga

Will

Chishiya’s voice😍😍😍😍😍

Yoona

Can't wait next 2 episodes

PST3

I am confused the video has audio?

Zipzzty
>>164439930

I think he means it’s not audio from the mic so it doesn’t sound clear

Will

Chishiya analyse very well and he’s observant that’s why I think he would succeed in the three of club game.

Will

I prefer Chishiya in the Live action

Betsy

I always love how deep ya'll go with theories! It's so engaging. But yeah it's going to get even more complex and insane the next few episodes leading to the finale. So excited for you to see what's to come. I wish we were already on my second favorite game on episode 6, so close!! Lol 👀

WHY

The best conclusion of a game ever. The Jack of Hearts game has got some of the best lines of the show (like how it describes the serial killers and psychopaths as only having a theoretical understanding of others’ feelings) and it also brings out some of the important themes: trust and equality. The episode itself also got some great lines: “In life, even when it seems you’ve hit the dead end, you turn a corner, and there’ll be a narrow road leading you further.” I like how they use the film/footage (instead of showing us directly the scenes) to tell us where Ann is about, what kind of world they’re in, and throw in little bits of hints (though not really hints) of how they get to this world. It’s a great change of pace and presentation, making things more mysterious and subtle than direct story telling. I also like how in season 2 they always split “one episode/game” into two episodes and make the first half of an episode a continuation of the previous one, and the second half leading into the next episode. It makes the story flows better and also leaves you with more excitement with the cliffhangers.

WHY

Yaba Oki (the suit guy) and Banda Sunato (the serial killer) symbolize Jabberwocky and Bandersnatch from Alice in Wonderland. The pronunciation of their names in Japanese are almost the same as how Japanese would pronounce Jabberwocky and Bandersnatch in English with a Japanese accent.

WHY

The musics towards the end of the Jack of Hearts game are so good. I wish you had kept the audio of the video so that both the musics of the show and your voices could come out clearly at the same time, but that’s okay. All good 👍🏻

Merry

Episode 6 my second favourite game🔥

Yoona

Do you plan watching some kdramas ?

Yoona
>>164445163

My name too but to be honest whatever it is I'll be there🤣 so let's recommand kdramas hoping we can get after alice

Kesendo

I was so locked in the first time I watched the scene of the girl talking about the fireworks and it made me jump when she suddenly got shot 😂

Fatipapi

Everybody in the pickup truck & beer mustache era now. Brigs a trend setter

Fatipapi

Its not random lore drop, Cannon. Dont you remember the very first episode? When the trio were running from the police in the middle of the street. When running, Chota was looking up and said to them "hey guys, look, fireworks!" before they ran inside the station. Its been mentioned a few times throughout s1 i believe as well. Its like one thing people in the games have in common, that they saw fireworks.

Fatipapi

YEAAH my favourite girlllll finally made her appearance. Definition of a bad bitch ✨

WHY
>>164461890

You’re right. Literally every single little detail of the show is there for a reason and they are all connected. This show is well thought out - it does not just throw us something random.

Jesse Gutierrez

When I first read the description a few hours ago I thought I read he choked (on food) and deleted the audio by mistake while choking.

A trailer is out?? 👀 lowkey dont wanna watch actually. Trailers nowadays spoil half the show 😭

HikiFan

Hey chat, totally unrelated: the guys once mentioned reacting to Violet Evergarden. I can't remember which reaction video that was. Does anyone know when they will start with the show?

Anya

Notice how Chishiya's last collar suit was ♦️ which is his specialty. I would even say ❤️ because of how well he understands human behavior. Carter, they actually adapted his character faithfully so it's hard to choose. However, Nijirō Murakami brought his character to life so maybe LA? Then again, it's unfair to compare based off the medium used. Nvm idk. Like what Ms. Casey would say, I enjoy them both equally! 😃

Anya

Manga J❤️ had a prosthetic eye with a monitor that was linked to his collar. He was guaranteed to always win. Remember, the citizens create the rules. He was a cheater. This is what made Kyuma special. Then there's the King of Spades, who just starts shooting. The integrity of former players and leeway given to them are interesting.

Anya

I forgot if the show mentioned it, but Matsushita (J❤️) was a hypnotherapist. He controlled Kotoko via hypnotism. Kotoko was weak-willed therefore, vulnerable to his suggestibility. He got off on controlling & manipulating others. His mistake was approaching an infamous serial killer. Yaba and Banda were more menacing in the manga. Yaba actually did things. But yes, their love for the Borderlands lead to equal partnership and a win. J❤️ remembered fear that day. He came across players who were more psycho and egotistical than he was lol My controversial fave duo in the manga.

Betsy
>>164493344

They are portrayed pretty cool even if they're controversial. Their little walk together at the end was so epic. I was like, "Oh wow..." And as always, thanks for all the extra insights, Anya. It's very helpful. You enrich my brain with all your knowledge. I never get tired of reading them. 🤗

Anya

Usagi didn't need Arisu to catch the rabbit. She was just trying to get him out of his funk. I would even consider it a date in the Borderlands haha I liked the firework theories at the end. It's easy to forget, but they were mentioned in season one. You'd think you would get answers but the K♠️ was like nah you gotta watch til the end 🤣😭

Betsy
>>164493780

Love their sweet duo. Arisu and Usagi just get each other. It's very beautiful. They both heal one another and make each other strong. 🥰

HikiFan
>>164487813

Thanks! Do you also happen to know if it wil be avaiable later for legacy tier (or other tiers)?

Anya
>>164493344

Ty🫶 Yes, as much as I loved the blimp exploding behind Chishiya, they should've gave it to Yaba and Banda.

Betsy
>>164493344

Yeah it would of made much more sense. Aww you're welcome. Also, glad it's working for you now on your device. It's getting closer to episode 6! I can't contain my excitement. And I wonder what they'll think of the finale and how it ties things together. 🤭🥰

Redbone

that mic has more air than I have in my lungs

Anya
>>164441952

WHY you have to at least read the manga version of solitary confinement! You'd enjoy it! I try to stop myself from being too deep because I have added insight from the manga. However, you are proof that you don't need the manga to see the deeper meaning of each episode/character! Our analysis and understanding always align- manga reader or not.

Anya
>>164493344

Yes, streamable finally works- 5 devices later😓

Anya
>>164493344

Yes! Think it's my 2nd/3rd fave. I have a feeling it's going to be mixed for the finale lol

Anya
>>164440089

May I know why? I have a hard time choosing so I want to hear from others.

Betsy
>>164493344

Better than never. Glad it finally works for you! And yeah you're probably right. I saw a teaser trailer for season 3 and I have mixed feelings. I think they should have kept where season 2 ending lol It was a cash grab

Will
>>164440089

I started the manga and I haven’t finished It yet. But It’s just that I watched the LA first so I’m more attached to Chishiya in the LA. I think Nijiro Murakami as done a great job incarning Chishiya’s Character.

Anya
>>164493344

I'll keep it vague to avoid spoilers. But yes, when they left something open-ended which was closed in the manga, I knew there was a possibility of coming back.

Anya
>>164493344

There are spin-offs. One is unrelated to our characters and the other takes place maybe 7 years later. I think they'll use those..

Anya
>>164440089

Aahhh okay yes that makes sense. I was manga first then show. But yes, Nijirō Murakami embodied him perfectly so I chose LA first. Then I remembered how much I loved the manga so I felt torn lol I like them both🥰 Ty for sharing!

Ale
>>164487813

I think it's just for Jucy tier, legacy or not

Mysterious Figure

Finished the rest of season 2 in the last few days. Without spoiling anything, the show started out really promising. I was really looking forward to every episode each week. Season 1 ending was somewhat disappointing so - a 7/10 for me just because of how it ended. Season 2 crashed and burned for me especially towards the end. S2 ep7 I cant honestly rate higher than a 2/10 because, despite everything being explained in the final episode, it is still one of the biggest examples I have ever seen in my life of anything being so insulting to its viewers intelligence... and with SO many consecutive examples that keep on happening NON STOP throughout the episode. Final episode Id give a 4/10, not because of how it ended but because it didnt actually properly earn or set up that resolution throughout the story. It felt cheap and just glued at the end. If any of the other possible explanations given at "that" one point would have been true it would have been a similarly unsatisfying ending. Season 2 overall - 5/10 - a shame because I really liked the show at the beginning, but I hoped it would have been more creative and original with its ending. Show overall - 6/10. Was still often fun despite sometimes cringe and rage inducing, but I feel some of the deeper concepts the show tried to take on, it didnt really do them justice.

Why did you feel compelled to share your opinion on episodes they haven't seen yet?

Yaoma
>>164519754

Couldn't even wait till they finish watching this first before typing your review? Also why does your scoring feel so off and inconsistent than what you're trying to review lol

Lydia

That one Chishiya scene reminds me of the dark knight 😂

Lydia

wow zombies, cannibals, snipers..yall were on edge this episode lol Edit: @41:23 lmaooooo Cannon's body took a screenshot

Stefan
>>164519754

It just didn't go the way he imagined it would so he hates it 😂 He basically said that even though what he found insulting to the viewer's logic was explained in the final episode, he still rates it a 2

WHY
>>164441952

I’d love to read that! To be very honest with you Anya, I’ve never once in my lifetime read any manga so this could be my first just because I love this show so much. I read all your comments above, and I just wanna say I love it! Love all the insights you’ve added from manga, and reading your insights when each episode is dropped has become one of my most anticipated things now. 🤝 So glad that we have similar minds, and that I could find someone like you who share the same thoughts and understanding, though I would say you’re even more insightful with the manga knowledge 🙇🏻‍♀️

WHY
>>164519754

I’ve seen this person commenting on almost every other episode nitpicking on things, criticising the show, spreading negativity and giving low scores lol. Based on his comments (and replies to others) on the EP2x2 video, it almost feels like he’s proud of making things (according to his own words) “uneasy” and making the world a continuously “insufferable place” for others lol

WHY
>>164519754

Why does it need to set up the resolution throughout the story? There’s more than one way to do a show than guiding the audience all throughout/ giving direct answers. Setting up “properly” as you want would be boring and not as intriguing anymore. This is not to mention that the fireworks, the fast growing vegetations, the unfounded CPS chips in the brain and all the other hints out there have already properly set it up for the final reveal (and the other abandoned explanations). Just because the explanation/answer is not obvious throughout the story (btw it’s purposely not obvious, not something left out due to writing mistake) or it’s not what you have expected or imagined doesn’t mean it’s not proper. To me the best thing about the show is despite all the hints, it has kept it mysterious, it does not reveal the truth or give you the answer until the end. What possible ending could you think of can be a satisfying ending? Don’t just criticise. If you have any better and more creative idea than the writer, please share it and enlighten us. You think that if those other possible explanations would have been true it would have been a similarly unsatisfying ending. Well, that’s exactly the reason why all the other possible explanations are not used as the final explanation at the end, but they are only there to tease the audience and more of a surprising plot twist. As to the final reveal, it does tie everything up, with the firework being the preview and proper set up. I’d rather appreciate shows, not just this show but shows in general, focus on the good things just to give the writer/director more credits for their thought-through writing/shots which ppl normally couldn’t think of (unless they’re better writers/directors). You’re free to express your thoughts and opinions, but a 2/10 rating seems ridiculous and outrageous to me.

Anya
>>164441952

What?! Well this could be your first! 😃 But yes, that's why I recommend it to you and Betsy because I can tell how much you guys love the show! I know we say it every post lol but I'm glad to have y'all as well to share this with! Tysm!! 🫶

Betsy
>>164441952

Aww thanks so much, Anya! It's been so fun and cool to share my thoughts with you and WHY as well as Merry, Will, and Lydia too lol It really means a lot and makes the rewatch so much more rewarding. Plus, I'm learning so much from you all within every episode discussion. AIB pals 🤗❤🥰 And I've read so much manga but not the Alice In Borderland one. I was so excited to see it at our local Books A Million. And I was tempted to buy it but I don't have the space to collect all the volumes. Despite that, it was really cool looking. I mainly stick with reading manga online. Haha

He's incredibly charming! I adore the actor and his voice; he would be a fantastic voice actor for anime characters.😩😍🥰

Anya
>>164441952

Yes I'm actually gonna miss this community when AIB is over🥹 AIB pals indeed! 🥰🥰🥰 Btw, Mob Psycho vol. 1-5 is coming in this weekend🙌 I'm excited to start. Yes, online would be faster but I like to feel books if that makes sense? Lol

Mysterious Figure
>>164519754

@Jonoridge - I explained why I posted my thoughts. You are free to read again if you need to. Plenty of people here comment on things that havent happen yet without spoiling anything, while giving their opinion on what they like/dislike. The reason why you have a problem with my post is obviously because my rating isnt as high as you would like. If I gave it high scores you would probably be here alongside praising it.

Mysterious Figure
>>164519754

@WHY - I gave proper reasoning for my criticism in all my previous posts where I was specific. Funny how you never once responded to any of those. Im guessing those might have been a bit harder for you to provide your support for? In this one the specifics would require spoilers which I obviously wont provide. Your other point about a story in general providing a "set up" for itself is something pretty basic in writing. You set up A in a way that B logically follows if you get all the context, but write it in a smart way that makes the audience feel the conclusion will fall into place when they look back at the context clues you left along the way. One of the best examples is Attack on Titan - a show that provides endless set up that you would never be able to guess before it is actually revealed, but after the reveal it feels really smart, rewarding, deepens characters, their relationships, enriches the world structure, interconnects so many ideas and concepts and ties everything together in a way that provides a clear message that the author intended, while leaving plenty of room for additional interpretations by the viewer. I feel AIB does next to nothing like what Ive described. It is extremely superficial in almost every aspect that Ive mentioned. The stuff you mentioned, fireworks, the chips, the vegetation... after the final reveal... give me a break - because the final reveal basically makes all those context "clues" next to meaningless, and for reasons I cant really get into due to spoilers, but I am happy to engage with you on this later.

Agent September 🏴‍☠️

I feel like Kotoko should not have died. Mister Yaba told her the truth and chishiya even confirmed it but she decides to listen to the random guy she just met with the cookies?? Smh

Betsy

I wonder when episode 5 will drop? :)

March Natapat

How did Jack of Hearts and Kotoko decide the suits? Well, in cards, club is the lowest value, while spade is the highest. The snacks come in 4 flavours = club, diamond, heart, spade.

Yo Dani

Maybe the King of Spades has thermals lol
