The funny thing about the 4th general that Sung forgot to extract is that in the Manhwa he ping pongs the general faster and harder than Tusk did to Kihoon so there was nothing even left of his corpse. This version of Sung is way more reserved and a lot less aggressive in his personality. Sung was so mad with how Tusk treated the task force that he didn't kill Tusk until the end (even tho he knew he could kill him in an instant) just to see if he could make Tusk feel fear.

Since we're recommending anime for reactions, I'm again recommending Orb: On the Movements of the Earth. If you end up reacting to this anime, it'll be the first reaction I plan on fully watching since Vinland Saga reactions ended for this channel about 1-2 years ago. I've occasionally watch a handful of your reactions, but never follow through with every episode. Love the discussion and questions. Great thing about the story is that all the questions being asked get answered eventually. Re: Jinwoo’s treatment of the other S ranks, it’s true he brushes them off but remember they aren’t really the friendliest bunch to each other let alone the new kid on the block and the fact that they still want him to join their guild or be subordinate to them even though he’s levels above them is definitely a problem. I think he’s keeping his distance until he knows who to trust. His personality is definitely different than when we first met him but in the future that’s explained also.

Some details that were missed out on from the manhwa: - Lee Minsung was actually introduced earlier by Jinho, when he was having a drink with his cousin (Yoo Soohyun) and complaining to her that Jinwoo hasn't contacted him for a week straight (he was in the Demon's Castle at the time and couldn't take calls or answer messages HAHA). The news in the small eatery they were in showed Lee Minsung on the screen and reported about his supposed exit from the acting industry, and Soohyun, who is a model, actually tells Jinho that she's met Minsung before and that he's a flirt who always tries to hit on his fellow colleagues in the acting industry, including her (hence the scandals) - Lee Minsung actually tries to get one of his guys to find out more about who Jinwoo is, cause he essentially ruined his press conference. But when he tries to enter the association's building after excusing himself in front of the reporters, there was actually a whole slew of hunters from the Surveillance Team, with Woo Jinchul at the front who appeared to block him. - Lee Minsung proceeds to flaunt his father's position as Vice President of Yoojin Construction (Jinho's dad's company HAHAHA), which is the Hunter Association's biggest sponsor, to intimidate Jinchul. He says "You sure you can handle the consequences? Who do you think you are? Is there something special about that hunter??" and gets told to shut up when Jinchul retorts with "If I answer your question, will YOU be able to handle the consequences, Mr Lee?", which makes him so scared he's speechless HAHAHAH

I’m not sure why y’all never do dub..a lot of people do prefer it despite it never winning polls. Should watch the occasional show in dub for the people that like it better. They pay monthly they should get that every once in a while.. instead of immediately shitting on every dub bc hall have watched so many subs and are used to it. Their power levels are lower than when they were alive, but probably only by like a small percentage. It's never explicitly stated how nerfed they are from what I remember, but since they can grow stronger anyway, they soon surpass the level that they were at before Jinwoo resurrected them:) Btw the scene where the flying ant appears actually happens on one of Japan's isolated islands!

Jinwoo's change in personality is definitely something to wonder about. I can totally see Brig's perspective, cause Jinwoo from the start of season 1 would probably react very differently. That being said, the main thing to note is that Jinwoo is still, at his core, the same down to earth, chill guy. He's trying his best (unconsciously or consciously) to remain as human as he can in the face of 1 death, several almost-death scenarios, AND losing his emotions one by one as the system forces him to be more ruthless with each battle that he fights. I don't think Jinwoo means anything bad by brushing off the other S-rank guildmasters. He simply has a goal that he is pursuing single-mindedly, and he desperately wants to achieve it as soon as he can. He can be very stubborn when he wants to (as seen from how he refused to give up hunting when he was still an E-rank, despite coming close to dying many times), so he probably sees sitting down for a chat with people he doesn't have anything to do with as taking up time he could have used to clear the Demon's Castle faster and become stronger (the S-rank guildmasters are technically strangers to him, and it doesn't help that he's not interested in joining a guild).

I just caught up on like 7 episodes of there one piece sub reaction. I watched it through dubbed on my own time but since giving the one piece sub a chance I prefer it more and have 0 issues with the sub reactions..there are some a like more than dubs and I love watching both. So I’m definitely not sad that they watch subs I literally just want an a dub reaction sometimes bc I like both. But that’s my point sometimes all it takes is just giving it a chance longer than 1 episode and they shouldn’t shit on dub so quickly..I mean they didn’t hate full metal and enjoyed it in dub just as much as any show they have watched now. So I don’t get not doing it at all

in my opinion I'd say Zero is the better one story-wise and darker and more consistent but Fate/Stay night Unlimited Blade Works is on another level when it comes to animation and the characters are more interesting.

I’m trying not to be a hater but I feel like every episode is the same 😭 some new villain… gets killed immediately after being introduced lol. It’s a little boring. Like… we get it. Jin-Woo is OP. The show doesn’t really need to keep telling us. Let’s see him take on the island already. Also story wise, I find it interesting that he doesn’t question at all why this is all happening to him. Like that’s a huge mystery, I feel like I’d be sus af. Why would there be some random outside force to help me get stronger to kill monsters? Like why!?? I wish we could see him questioning things a bit.

Yeah the show is just hype merchant material. He just aura aura's his way through and occasionally acts cool and pulls. Not that I hate that, but like you said. I get it, you're amazing. And the whole act like a D rank and shock people with how impressive I am 'arise' just over and over. I have a feeling he'll get worse as the show goes on. Animation is cool, but he's kinda boring to me. I preferred his personality at first and felt the change was drastic. I'd prefer if it was more gradual instead of some 2 week change. Overall i don't really like sung jin woo tbh, and I don't hate him but he's just predictable and lame to me.

TBH I think my biggest issue, is I just don’t really like Jin-Woo anymore. His personality is just meh. I understand he’s like losing his humanity. But it’s just not working for me atm. My opinion could change though of course! Hmm so not all of these are like great but Parasyte, angel beats, anohana, aot, physco pass, devil is a part timer, noragami, the promised neverland(s1), Tokyo ghoul(s1), claymore, Eden of the east, monster, code geass, clannad, mob physco, FMAB, death note, Vinland, dandadan, elfen lied(this one is heavy on nostalgia I must admit. But I get whoever I can to watch it purely for their reactions lol), wonder egg priority, castlevania, jjk, HxH, made in abyss, erased, chainsaw man, avatar the last air bender, cyberpunk, arcane. I haven’t seen some of these in a long time so I’m sure nostalgia plays a big role as well haha, but I think these are all solid. Some of these are better than others of course, some have some really bothersome anime tropes, etc. But when I think of these shows I remember feeling more diverse emotions while watching. And some of these aren’t super deep or anything like that, but the worlds and characters feel more fleshed out/unique.

Yea for sure. You’re right. I was being a little unfair there. I would have liked to see a slightly more gradual change in him. Or at least get a little more inner monologue about how he’s actually feeling about this whole thing. He’s just so nonchalant. I definitely don’t think we need to back to the Naruto days of anime pacing lmao, but I sometimes feel a lot of newer shows now really rush through some things. And it leaves me feeling disconnected to the characters and their motivations.
