this is why I don't really like one pace like its alright but since they stay to the manga they'll cut things that are "filler," anime canon (something that isn't in the manga but is shown in the anime and is still canon), so you don't see how Zoro ended up in the water in that fight also I might be nitpicking but that cut just felt so off I had to see what they cut out from the og to make sure I wasn't trippin

Personally I've only seen the anime in its orignal form and while I believe one pace should've only been used post-time skip, I can see how it's trimming some of the fat that makes the whole thing a little more flowy. From the looks of it anyway, one thing one pace will do is get you to the next arc faster and I'm here for it haha. Skypiea isn't in my top 10 arc so I'm not overly attached to it. Rewatcing the anime with you guys have been super fun though. I remember feeling it was long like Brig my first time, but now I'm so attached to the Straw Hats that everything they do or say, especially this far back in the story, is just super fun to me.

it’s fine imo all that stuff really doesn’t have to do with the plot and if they were watching the actual episodes there would be a lot of fluff. Even tho in comparison the anime adaption of skypea has generally good pacing when compared to future arcs. I think most episodes are about 1.5 pages of manga when compared to future arcs that only adapt 1 chapter or even less

The VA for Satori voices 11 characters total in One Piece! You've already heard him as Buchi, the huskier Nyaban brother from Syrup Village and Mr. 9, Vivi's partner agent from the Alabasta arc. He also voices Gluttony from Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood and the principal of UA, Nezu from My Hero Academia.

I think a lot of the dislike of Skypiea comes from how long it is - One Pace reduces it down to 23 episodes, while the original is 43, which would equate to about a year's worth of episode releases. The manga is 66 chapters, which is slightly over a year, but a chapter of OP doesn't take 20+ minutes to read through There is definitely a very good feeling of nostalgia and hindsight when rewatching/reading it, especially when you're caught up

Yes, and to add to that you can see a stick of dango here! 👉🏻🍡 lol (you can see how Satoris shaped like the white one in the center haha) know the geks have seen it in anime at least once, cuz Anko is known to eat them in Naruto (which is funny because anko dango is a type of them and she seems to favor the food, just like nautomaki is the fishcakes in ramen and Narutos obsessed with it)

The Geks lore checking everything that appears on screen is indeed funny af! Useless fact, but Satori was my personal One Piece raid boss. I legit dropped the show for more than two years because of this one character. I think after the seriousness of Crocodile, I had expectations for the show to give me more of that, so this annoying dough ball was just too much in the opposite direction.

I didn't watch One Pace when I started. All I can say that I look back on my One Piece journey with a sense of pride, like hitting the time skip felt like a milestone, or a right of passage, Maybe I'm gatekeeping here but idk if One Pace qualifies to have the same feeling if that makes sense. Skypiea is such an overhated arc and it doesn't get as much love as other arcs only because it is much slower and quite frankly has some content in there that just is not needed but it still baffles me that some ppl skip this arc on their first watch. I love almost everything in the arc and all the lore surrounding it. The characters are great, and the villain is one of my favorites in possibly the whole show maybe top 10. it's not even that slow when compared to arcs like FI and TB. Plus, watching it in one pace format probably makes the experience even better.

Yeah to most watchers the peak of one piece is arguably in the 400s. The latest epsiodes and chapters are giving it a run for its money though, at least for a lot of people.
