Melizé

I SAID ADVANCE GODDAMMIT!

Melizé

Hi baby ❤️❤️❤️

Sam M

What a splendid occasion

Chosos Wife

Omg it's my fave episode and fave scene time 😭😭😭

Kae D. en

Just finished Naruto, perfect timing I suppose

Melizé

Peak after Peak 🔥🔥

Sterling

Hi Sav 💞💕

Miitei

Let's go!!!

Sav

STERLING🤍🤍🤍

a_daichi

ahhh we're here! can't wait to watch soon!

Sean Carroll

ERWIN IS THE GOAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Miitei

I'm 2 minutes in. Bradlynn asking "Am I gonna cry" then I suddenly remember that Hannes dies in these episodes... 🥲

Mr. John Kagurabachi

Bro’s goat lost his arm?? Pathetic LeBron wouldn’t lose his arm in that scenario but what ever. Each their own I guess…

Segen

"we want our jaws on the ground" yeah..

Sean Carroll

of course a one piece fan would say this. Erwin sacrificed his arm and still ordered his soldiers to continue the mission. He then came back 2 minutes later and saved Eren. Erwin is the definition of GOAT. Also Jordan is better than Lebron

Grae

THATS MY COMMANDER.

studiogek

Sean you have betrayed me….LeGoat forever

Grae

LETS GOOOO

jemmy

YAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKK

GreetswithJudgement

My GOAT of GOATS! Dropping morale to 0% then boosting it to 100% in seconds is peak leadership! Advance on Commander Erwin! You have my heart!

TheSauceGuy

Just another day for the Survery Corps!

TheSauceGuy

RIP Hannes and all of the others that died in this episode.

TheSauceGuy

Man, it's been two years since the original AoT reactions started? That's actually crazy.

Carlos Penaloza

You guys should do the Levi OVAs ‘no regrets’

Sean Carroll

Pretty sure that is next on schedule, they said after season 2

Osiris704

I SAID ADVANCE GAH DAMMIT

Sean Carroll

I definitely do Leo, given he’s a one piece fan and they historically hate aot I don’t think I’m too far off.

Sav

Hi!

Kae D. en

Season 1 mid cards were not all that relevant, but they are actually pretty important in season 2

studiogek

Yes we just watched it today and then started season 3

jemmy

Carter and Cannon 😭 . they're already emotional in season 2.

indy

I love how you guys view ymir differently. I feel like on the second watch theres more time to focus on side characters since you already know where the story goes. My second time watching i found a new appreciation for jean and now hes easily in my top 3. I still cant get behind connys character tho ...

Garreth

Damn I forgot how much stuff was revealed in this episode. It's so hard having your first time watching have years between seasons, you forget little details that help you form the big picture

indy

id be interested to see if you guys have a change in favourite characters by the end of the rewatch

Nami Swannn

Ever since it was turned into a meme I can’t watch the “nothing changed” Eren scene without bursting out laughing 😭

Kae D. en

It’s a damn shame

G

😭😭

Kae D. en

Ban this heretic

A.G

Not gonna show them the ops or eds anytime soon? I wanna see what they think of Season 2s ed 😂

GreetswithJudgement

Just love that the Gek girls love characters most people overlook or don’t give enough credit to! I love that so much! Benadryl and Armin love? Let’s go!

Gamao99

Season 3 is sooo PEAK i cant wait

Gamao99

Eren was and will always be my favorite character. But erwin and armin will always be my 2nd. Reiner 3rd

Nami Swannn

The girls favs and character analysis are so good we’re fr twins I love their takes 🫶🏼🫂 Also no spoilers but does anyone remember the theories about who the beast titan was after that reveal 🤡

Segen

Ymir is such a good character her choices are so questionable though but like thats still my goat

Miitei

The face Carter did when Bradlynn said her number 3 is Connie 😂

Niffol

Saga is the word Carter was looking for. Season 1 is a saga of arcs. season 2 is a a single arc season. Some manga has official sagas and arcs, but some dont establish sagas and just do arcs. fans will establish sagas if the mangaka doesn't officially establish. Usually it seems.

hman70

Shoutout to Riley for immediately realizing and calling out that Ymir was lying to Historia about wanting to save her for selfish reasons. That’s Ymir’s entire thing, she puts on a front like everything she does is selfish yet all the actions she actually takes are for the benefit of those around her. She wants Historia to live only for herself because she has the same wish personally.

jemmy

Eren remains at the top even after a bajillion rewatches...in fact PRECISELY because of the rewatches. I'm a writer so I'm just a sucker for just masterfully written characters

jemmy

It's so funny the little crumbs that set up Eren's character later on. He's who he has always been. Never changed. He will always charge forth at the enemy, no matter what, and atone for all the hearts given to the cause in his name

indy

Agree, favourite characters can change through rewatches but eren will never not be number 1. he’s TOO GOOD

jemmy

Ymir is such a well written character honestly. Very conflicted. Very selfish. Very human. If not one of the most human in the show

indy

I CANT WAIT to see the girls reaction to season 3 part 2

jemmy

SAME. Im tweaking just thinking about it

Pham Hung

The boys have their own little character arc with Ymir, and I couldn't be prouder. Connie and Berthold also both some great moments this season that I think the re-watchers will come to appreciate their characters more. The feeling of being unwanted and unloved is a core conflict for many of our important characters, and having it introduced this early on—though confusing—does so much for the show later on. Also, just a prediction, but I think Bradlynn will end up enjoying the whole of AoT the most out of the ladies - but I can realistically see all three really loving it for different reasons.

Snow

Everyone I know of refers to Season 2 as the slow season because it seems like it's mostly information dump. However Season 2 is really dope. You literally get 3 titan reveals, multiple titan fights, the reveal of what titans really are; and the reveal of Eren's true potential.

Sam M

Riley has been so locked in, I was shocked how on point and fast her call outs were in this one. Man, season two cooks so hard. Phenomenal rewatch. Idk if it's a hot take but I think the art visuals and "cinematography" of this season, particularly the last couple of episodes, is the best in the whole series.

jemmy

how could you not 😭 . AOT's too good

TheSauceGuy

I don't agree with all of Erwin's plans/methods, but how can you not get chills from him when he gets grabbed? Anyway, I love this show, but the plot armor in that charge through the titans was crazy. It's also a good thing Armin can freeze time to talk to Bertoldt lol.

Pham Hung

Least based CaitVi lover - honestly, YmirxHistoria was my first CaitVi.

TheSauceGuy

"she looks like my third grade teacher" lmao

Toru

This gotta be my 5th time rewatching and it still gives me chills. The complexity of these characters are so beautifully written, because is goes to show we are one of these characters deep down when it comes down to it. Whether it being for a need of survival or it being for a daily cause.

kuza

ERWIN THE GOATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

kuza

ADVANCE

kuza

the scene of armin is so wild he really smiles like a madman when he finds a reason to instigate bertholdt and reiner 🤣🤣🤣🤣

TheSauceGuy

That scene of Historia flying through the air with the sunset in the background gives me chills every time.

TheSauceGuy

Yeah, I like her more every watch.

TheSauceGuy

Now that you know about Connie's mom, I'd like to point out that we also saw his dad; he was the titan that Sasha fought off to save that little girl. I'm pretty sure this is never revealed in the show, so I wanted to point it out.

Kiyoh

that boy erwin cold

Chrissy

Season 2 is great on a rewatch. Also Ymir is just such an underrated character. Side note, I feel like it’s okay to clarify things that happen in the episode. If y’all don’t agree I understand but here’s some things I would have pointed out personally…. As far as Ymir I feel like it’s okay to point out, she was taken by someone and given a name. She looked like an orphan. And she said she was a titan for 60 years. And when they theorized about having to eat a human to turn back into a human every single time, how does that explain every single Eren, Annie, Reiner, Ymir and burrito transformation we’ve seen. 😅 I don’t think it’s wrong to clarify that. It’s all things they’ve seen. But I understand wanting to not push people a certain way.

ruthyrooo

Initially it’s confusing to see Ymir go back to help Reiner and Bertholdt, but on rewatches I realized she was actually being true to herself in that moment. After she turned back into a human, she tried so hard to be selfish and think only about her own survival because she believed everything that happened before was her due punishment for “lying to herself.” Which, ironically, I think was in itself another way of lying to herself because if any normal person looked at her circumstances, they’d point out the fact that none of what happened to her was in her control whatsoever. So I think this ending was actually really fitting for her, because she knows what’s in it for her by going back with them, but she does it anyway because she’s at her core a compassionate person. She doesn’t say it outright but I think/hope she accepted that about herself in the end. Or maybe she was still punishing herself idk. Either way it’s really sad. K bye I’m gonna go cry now.

misspancakes

I'm telling you, she be quiet while the others cook then come out of the blue with a full gourmet meal. The girls are all geniuses!

kuza

such insane episodes man this show is really the greatest thing ive witnissed and the rewatch just makes it better

Lexi Browning

On rewatch, Ymir is amazing and her season 2 arc is such a full circle

a_daichi

That last shot of our trio and Hannes will never not bring tears to my eyes 💔

a_daichi

Ngl it took me a long time to really understand and come to like Ymir. Idk why I couldn’t like her but I tried harder this time hahaha and I actually enjoyed her

Wilson Nguyen

what a finale. glad that carter and cannon came around to liking ymir a lot more this time around, with the context of the full story there’s just not much that u could dislike her for at all. cant wait for s3

Wilson Nguyen

also to clarify bc ive seen them speculate on it sm. bertholdt ate ymir + a random scout to get their odm gear since reiner was taking eren’s. that’s literally it, he just ate someone random so that they’d each have odm gear.

TheSauceGuy

Okay Carter, can you confirm whether or not you guys plan to watch more of the OVAs this time around? I saw you already watched No Regrets, but Ilse's Notebook and the Lost Girls episodes (2/3 of which are centered around Annie in Wall Sina) are great. All of them are worth watching if you've never seen them before, but at least these three episodes should really be considered. I don't really follow why you WOULDN'T watch them unless it's for scheduling reasons, but it's up to you guys; it'd just be nice to get a definitive answer so people like me can rest.

Mitch

Erwin top 5 anime characters of all time.

pineapplegreg

It’s crazy to think how different the story could’ve been if Ymir decided differently here

a_daichi

burrito 😭

a_daichi

My top 5 has to be Levi, Armin, Eren, Jean & Mikasa (kind of in order) Such amazing characters in aot

Emmanuel

"Nahh I can't lie, she looks like my 3rd grade teacher-"

TheSauceGuy

Bradlynn and Eve, if you think you're dumb on your first watch, Carter and Cannon must have been lobotomized during their first lol (I was too, but I was like 14-15 for S2). You have caught a lot of things, but you can't catch everything, especially without already knowing what to look for. Even after having already watched, you can still miss things. If you want to catch as much as possible, try to pay close attention to the casual dialogue between characters. A lot of things are just so casually revealed that they fly right past viewers lol.

TheSauceGuy

Even her #1 op came around (a little).

a_daichi

Wait I forgot about Reiner 😭😭😭 He shares the spot with Mikasa 👀 Top 5 is hard

kuza

very excited to see kenny in s3 👀👀

TheSauceGuy

I'm interested to see if season 2 is still my favorite by the end of this watch. It just has so many hidden and not-so-hidden details, plus it's the most nostalgic for me. Maybe I can't truly pick any one season over the other, especially when each season has a completely different vibe, so it's kind of hard to compare.

jblakk

Ymir flashback in a nutshell: People who know: *Teary-eyed* People who dont: "What the heck just happened?

Rice887

Still think the first episode of second season is underrated cause the beast titan really changes the whole tone of the show

Kite

studio peak

Laolu Aluko

You guys should watch Lost Girls OVA with the girls to get more backstory on Annie before starting season 3.

Laolu Aluko

This season has so many references from season 4. There’s just no way to fully understand this season without watching season 4.

GreetswithJudgement

Top five is hard for AOT because I have so many tied or interchangeable… 1.Erwin/Levi 2.Eren/Armin 3.Reiner 4.Hange/Jean 5. 2 who shall not be named yet

jblakk

I dont care what anyone says, those opera babies went triple platinum in my mind.

a_daichi

Yeah I gotta add Hange in a spot too 😭 and another not to be named character

Higgy8

Do you guys plan on watching the post credit scene on season 3 episode 12 with the girls? It would be interesting to see their reactions to it.

MonkeyGhost_

Eh, not really imo. Bert would of just transformed and yk what would of happened after that and then they could escape

Melly

I just learned that the small titan Sasha fought was Connie’s dad!! That’s crazy to think about

Amzaig1

Ymir x Historia peak yuri

pineapplegreg

I was thinking more like the future of the show, in seasons 3 & 4

Brig Andrus

If Ymir has only 100 haters im one of them!! If Ymir only has 1 hater I’M HIM

Dani G

Everything about this show has 10/10 rewatchability. There is no point that it ever declines. It is just fantastic from start to finish. Yes, there are some arcs that I didn’t enjoy AS much as others, but I still loved them all. There is truly no point in this show where I wasn’t 100 percent locked in. Also, I really appreciated season two a lot more on my rewatch.

Dani G

Also, it’s so funny to see Carter and Cannon fanboying throughout this rewatch. The initial “haters”. Lmao. We love the character development.

Jamin

PEAK

Jamin

They have too fr

Jamin

PEAK

CoLdBITeR

I don't hate her, but I definitely am not a fan of her. Idk why so many people gotta be white knight's so hard, if she lives or dies, I wouldn't even bat an eye at it. Yes I've already seen the show a few times, still not a fan and I probably will never be a fan.

CoLdBITeR

Imma be honest, I'd kind of prefer they went in blind though

rayman

man I really hope yall watch Ilse's Notebook OVA, it's pretty big for the lore-building. Can either watch it before S3 or at the midpoint of S3, or I guess you could watch it before S4 but there's no reason to wait that long. Wall Sina, Goodbye OVA (Annie's) is not super important but good for her character.

Sean Carroll

Anyone that says season 2 is slow is crazy. Season 1 on multiple rewatches is difficult for me personally because its pace is so inconsistent. Season 2 is non stop

Sean Carroll

Plot armour?? Bro everyone was dying. The main characters swooped in after all the background guys were getting chomped and so wasn’t any titans left (apart from mikasa)

Wickerx Nanana

Man these Gek women are too smart, love seeing their reactions and hearing their thoughts! Love seeing Carter and Cannon tear up on these goated moments, it makes me feel oddly satisfied somehow, not in a weird way...just that there are other people that have same emotional passion as me for this goated show!! Then again that's why I'm subbed to my favorite reaction channel!

Sean Carroll

I reckon brig hating on her constantly on first watch might have slightly swayed them. Brig was even ignoring some of her scenes first time

Sean Carroll

Ilses notebook yes Annie ovas no

Sean Carroll

Mikasa shouldn’t be anywhere near a persons top 5

Sean Carroll

Meh, overhyped character if you ask me

Sean Carroll

I’m a big advocate for skipping that dumb addition considering they’ll see the episodes in the reaction directly following it

Sean Carroll

I haven’t watched the video yet but could you explain your hate for Ymir brig because I don’t get it

Sean Carroll

I don’t think they are interested given they haven’t replied to anyone suggesting it for weeks now (at least from what I’ve seen)

Wickerx Nanana

Music in Attack On Titan is just next level....it is SO freaking GOOD!!

W3ll4n

To see Cannon and Carter be that emotional on their rewatch with some of these scenes is peak

studiogek

We are interested just not sure what we think yet

kuza

tell em

Jan Sterle

they need to skip the scene because it doesn't bring anything to the table, just a big spoiler. Going blind is the better option in every way

CoLdBITeR

Erwin is an interesting character, and he definitely has cool moments, but I still can't consider him a goat. 🐐🔫

Aokiji Piece🧊

My top five characters in Attack on Titan, in no particular order, are Eren, Erwin, Beast Titan, Jean, and Reiner. They are all great characters if you ask me, and they’re all intriguing and interesting to me. My five 🐐s.

mar zelle

trust me and watch it there will be some stuff in the Ilse´s OVA that u guys will freak out about

kuza

goated top 5

Pudding

Oh??? Not Bradlynn with the "she looks like my third grade teacher" 😭😭

Pudding

This could've for real been the ending, one where they're powerless and everyone dies at that moment by the titans. It truly felt like it too, with the atmosphere, the bittersweet and tragic music and Mikasa trying to say her last words to Eren. It could've been the ending if Eren didn't clutch.

a_daichi

Awww too bad I’m not going to listen to you! She’s in my top 10 at least 😘

kiiturii

54:14 that visual is crazy btw!!

Skynobi

Pls also watch Mikasas OVA

Ollie

I BAWL every time at Eren's reaction to Hannes death, the voice acting is just unreal. But then when the music cooks when Eren starts to fight back 🥶🥶

Ollie

I think skip too, the girls are cooking too much haha

Ollie

It's changed the way I think about things entirely

jrnoodles

Thanks GeksDeluxe! Attack on Titan is one of the few anime that is even better on a rewatch. There is so much foreshadowing. And it's not like Goda where he retcons forshadows, these are legit.

Ollie

Sounds weird but I think you get a lot of joy out of missing details because when the penny finally drops it all just comes together in the most satisfying way.

Kim 555

Ilse’s notebook OVA PLEEEEEEASE it’s so freaking good and informative. You can do it with the Levi OVAs

Artemipsyche

Hannes is in my top 3 for this season. He went all in because he wanted to know if he could have saved Karla. He was relieved when he couldn’t kill it, because he KNEW in that moment he made the right choices. He got his answer to his biggest “what if?” Such a great full circle moment.

Kim 555

The gek guys pissed me off on their first watch cause they were such Ymir haters and I never understood why. Glad she's getting her flowers now

Sav

When the rewatch with the Gek Girls is over, you should all definitely watch Attack on Titan Junior High for some laughs😂

lololol

ATTENTION GEKS!!!! Please consider maintaining the 6 episodes a week format. Check the episodes for season 3, it'll be a perfect fit for separating certain arcs within those 6 eps PLS PLS PLS

Pudding

Woow, didn't even think about it that way, amazing.

pineapplegreg

As a Ymir fan since my first watch through I completely understand Kim

keyton bush

He couldn’t, still recovering.

M1GZ

WE WANT POST SEASON SPOILERS DISCUSSIONS!!!!

Conk

Attention geks? You aint commander Erwin lil bro

GD

Pls upload AOT more

Kim 555

"ngl she looks like my first-grade teacher" SENT ME that was foul Bradlynn

Brianna Tsao

Peak voice acting, peak animation, peak soundtrack, peak storytelling <3

Brianna Tsao

I love that. There is a “finality” to the way Hannes looks back at Eren before he passes.

Sean Carroll

May as well give up asking as this has been said from the start and they haven’t done it yet

Sean Carroll

Good character but for me he’s way too overhyped because he’s badass

Yohaha

So glad to see brig finally come around to liking Ymir!!! I was so frustrated watching your guys’ initial reaction and seeing that he didn’t like her lol

M1GZ

Oh trust me I know it's me who's been asking every episode. its haikyuu all over again. I commented explaining the haikyuu tournament for perhaps nearly 50 straight eps and they still didn't get it in the final season its honestly fukking infuriating they never read comments

Freja Holmberg

My top 5: 1. Levi 2. Sasha 3. Erwin 4. Mikasa 5. ..... The Ripper

bondbond53

Ymir is absolutely GOATED. She is arguably the most selfless character in this entire show by the end of it

ash

ymir my GOAT!!! also hannes’ death made me cry, eren’s breakdown is always so heart wrenching. his voice actor, Yuki Kaji, has been my GOAT for the last 15 years fr

Artemipsyche

They’re very active in the comments? Just because they don’t do something we ask doesn’t mean they didn’t read it…

bondbond53

"Gek women" sounds so funny. Atleast you didn't say "female Gek" I guess

TheSauceGuy

The Annie OVAs give more interesting information and worldbuilding, so I'd say the opposite. Ilse's Notebook should've just been in the anime. It'd be interesting to see how they react after having watched season 2 already.

TheSauceGuy

Everyone as in none of the main characters and the majority of everyone else. Hannes is the only significant character that really dies. Erwin survives losing an arm no biggie and any of the other main characters that fall or get grabbed are completely fine. At least with Erwin, he had people defending him, but even then. Meanwhile, a titan somehow SNEAKS up on the Military Police lmao. Mikasa got grabbed because she wasn't paying attention for one second, while Armin stands on top of Reiner to do this whole entire speech while not paying attention to his surroundings at all lol. There is a lot more that I could list, but our main characters never/rarely deal with the same scenarios these random soldiers do.

TheSauceGuy

I guess it depends on the type of watcher you are, as well as the show. If something becomes hard to follow, it's annoying to miss more details.

TheSauceGuy

He is a legend with that voice. And yeah, Hannes and Ymir are both underrated characters.

ash

frrr, AoT characters are so good that it’s hard to talk about all of them. also i’ll seriously mourn the day yuki kaji retires, he’s been my fav japanese seiyuu since i was a little kid watching anime hahah

TheSauceGuy

What's your reasoning behind these? I like Levi a lot, but not because of his ODM gear skills, and the same goes for "The Ripper" lol. I find Erwin is a decent character, but very overrated. I'm not a big fan of Sasha, but that's more because she isn't a complex character most of the time. Mikasa is probably one of my least favorite characters in the show, at least among the major and/or supporting characters. She has very little complexity and the moments where she does shine are when she focuses on literally anything else other than Eren. Even Bradlynn said, "You only care about Eren's life" haha. Seeing MIkasa fight/fly around in ODM gear is awesome at least lol.

Snow

If Bert was capable of transforming here, he would've. It's clear the scene is telling you he's not capable of doing it right now.

TheSauceGuy

If they don't even watch all of the OVAs, I don't think we'll get Junior High anytime soon lol. I haven't even watched that yet, but I do plan to. That's why I think one of the OVAs in particular would be a fun refresher episode for everyone.

TheSauceGuy

It was probably a combination of her attitude and her going against the protagonists. Going against the protagonist without being a direct antagonist is an easy way to make an audience dislike a character, even if it doesn't necessarily make sense. For a lot of people, it's an emotional reaction. I will say that romances kind of feel out of place in the show though, but I didn't mind Ymir and Historia's relationship.

❣️ Vladlena ❣️

Wow, I’m in shock! And it’s more tragic because is Sasha who killed him

TheSauceGuy

Carter, please don't make this another Histories & Lore situation haha. Only two of them aren't really related to the plot of the main show; these are "A Sudden Visitor" and "Lost in the Cruel World" (Mikasa's Lost Girls OVA). "A Sudden Visitor" should only be watched if you want a more light-hearted refresher from the show. "Lost in the Cruel World" (Mikasa's OVA) is odd, but it's super interesting and acts as the base for a lot of popular theories in the series. I think you, in particular, might really enjoy it.

TheSauceGuy

At least you came around to liking her backstory dialogue more lol. We were so close...

TheSauceGuy

It's because she's gay /s

❣️ Vladlena ❣️

I love how lock in is Riley, but I want to hear more her thought! Please, guys, shake her and ask more question. I think she get the show the most 🔥🔥🔥

TheSauceGuy

Sean always has the most aggressive ways to counter other people's opinions, but I understand his POV here lol. If you're looking at Mikasa in terms of her abilities as a soldier, then she's awesome. If you're looking at her personality, then we haven't gotten to see much outside of her wanting to protect Eren. I enjoyed her threatening the merchant in season 1 because that showed she cared about SOMETHING other than him haha.

TheSauceGuy

There are just too many good characters in the series, but several of my favs haven't even been introduced yet.

a_daichi

Okay. I still like her regardless. Idk what to tell you guys. Sorry 🤷🏾‍♀️

TheSauceGuy

Is it the glasses man that we saw at the end of the episode? Until we hear a name, he's known as "four-eyes" I guess haha.

TheSauceGuy

The potential butterfly effects in this series are crazy.

a_daichi

no someone else

Dakota

Season 2, ep 12, is still one of the best of the series. Erwin's "Advance!" and Eren's coordinate control were so good. Also yeah Eren WAS kinda laughing when Hannes died, but it wasn't because he was happy about it obviously. It was basically like disbelief, both at how weak and powerless he still was and that Hannes died, but then it turned into pure grief and self hatred.

TheSauceGuy

Stop making fun of Birth Control

TheSauceGuy

That tall guy (I forgot his name) has to be one of the most underrated characters in the show imo.

Cannon Andrus

Thanks artemipsyche, and sorry if you think we don’t read comments. About Haikyuu, we literally mentioned in the videos many times that we saw the comments. I’ll ask the lads about post season spoiler discussions

TheSauceGuy

Episode 49 credits scene lol

GreetswithJudgement

I agree. Out of all the mains and for how important and impactful he made the series, he for sure is underrated. Compared to everyone else, I love the contrast he offers. He is truly one of the most important characters often overlooked and underestimated greatly, which in a way I think was intended.

EightNights

telling people to talk more is just as rude as telling people to talk less

Wilson Nguyen

yea he still hating on her this go around too and brig is one of my goats, but i think bc on rewatch everyone else understood her more he wasnt as hateful. the thing is tho is that aot is so good that everything had to happen the way it did for the ending to occur. take for example this season. without spoiling if ymir never did what she did than eren would’ve never been in position to see that he could control pure titans for a moment which snowballs into the everything else that happens afterwards

Kp__

I totally agree with you about her getting it the most shes locked in every episode, but i dno some people are just quieter than others and shes on camera to thousands of people which is why she probably holds back which is valid

GreetswithJudgement

You can literally like any character for any reason. They don't have to be complex. They don't have to be grand. It can be simply as someone relating more to that character. Mikasa is many peoples favorite so you are not alone. The best character doesn't have to be your favorite. You like who the F you like. It’s that simple. Sorry if this seems like I’m being aggressive to you, Daichi! I’m actually rooting for you lol

❣️ Vladlena ❣️

I don’t how you interpret my words, but I meant only good. I really like her so I want hear her more. That’s all!

❣️ Vladlena ❣️

Some people just talk more and another doesn’t. It’s fine. But she is my favorite new reactor on the couch, so I can’t help)

Man Lit

Finally, Ymir gets some appreciation

Coran

Is it because she’s a lesbian

Brent Mahasi

The dub of that Mikasa Ymir seen is so tough can’t lie

With respect I'm gonna have to disagree the haikyuu thing is something I saw the entirety of the fandom type out explaining every single episode since the end of s1 and it wasn't acknowledged and understood until deep into season 4 when the confusion already happened and it didn't matter. That's the past though and its ok I know yall watch a lot of shows at once and posts a lot but its still hold true, mob psycho has had me and many others telling yall every week that past 2x9 there's no more spoilers in all op's and ed's but still no word if they'll end up watching them before s3 ends like everyone wants. It does feel like you can type the same comment 15 times and it wont be seen unless you throw in some caps or get salty. Atleast that how it feels for me perhaps it's different for other shows you guys are watching I came for haikyuu an stayed for mob and the communication hasn't been good its just how I feel.

Goatchis

Seen the show 5 times and still don't like ymir

Goatchis

I hope they skip it

fyre

there’s nothing rude about encouraging people to speak more, especially when this is literally a reaction channel and those 3 are watching for the first time. it’s perfectly fine to want to hear their thoughts.

Oromis

Eren breaking out laughing when he just cant take it anymore and especially when he is angry with himself actually gets established pretty well throughout the series. When he is told that Marco died, he also laughs at first. And for those who have seen everything, I think everyone remember's how he reacted to a certain death, yet most viewers still misunderstand why he is laughing at that point

CHIEF

Mikasa tends to be done the dirtiest in dub for some reason, also "Mikasa, I will always wrap your scarf" like what? Couldn't he at least finish the sentence?

CHIEF

It's because Ymir sucks until you understand where she's coming from, even then not one of my favorites

Brent Mahasi

True, but that line of dialogue was tough with her and Ymir in it

Northie

can't a girl have hobbies anymore🙄(being mean and liking women) /j

Leon

sean with the airball

Northie

RIGHTTT??? especially when you hear the Call Your Name melody, it's so good

S Moonchild⁷

Ymir is in my top 10 favorite characters of the whole show. My list of favorite characters is questionable, but I think all 10 have very good storylines and Ymir is one of them. She was just an orphan who was taken in and used for these cult things, then she finally got her freedom and met Historia, gosh her story makes me tear up. What a badass, who also has a heart to feel not only for Historia, but she also saved Dazz, she saved Berthold and Reiner too, she saved a bunch of people on the tower in episode 4-5 as well. As much as she says that she is selfish and lives for herself, the only selfish thing she did is make Reiner and Berthold take Historia earlier, a selfless hero. Erwin is nuts and we love him for it, bitten arm didn't stop him for being a GOAT. Rip Hannes, I cry every time I watch you die. I think him dying is a full circle moment. He always blamed himself for not being brave and saving Carla, little Eren also pointed it our for him, but he saw that bravery can only get you so far and he did a right thing by saving two 10year olds back then who later became so important. It is realistic, things happen, you never know consequences of your choice. That's why we love AoT for being realistic and relatable. Bradlyn (I hope I spelled your name correctly), I do like Connie, but I don't get how he is your top 3 characters haha Season 2 is a gem <3

Matthew

When I first watched AOT I watched in dub for the first 2 seasons. There are some positives for the dub and one if them is the voice actress for Ymir. I feel like there is more humour/sarcasm (and like-ability, not just a rat) that comes across in dub. But i might be missing that in sub so that’s on me. I always liked Ymir, an outcast and it was interesting to see her back story.

Matthew

Elizabeth Maxwell is the voice over, randomly she is Urbosa in Breath of the Wild and many other things

Pudding

I feel like my top 5 would be.. 1. Eren 2. Levi 3. Reiner 4. Erwin 5. Armin

kuza

why cant u let a character be hype because the fact hes badass 🤔🤔

Brig Andrus

Y’all ridiculous. Why would I care if she likes girls or not? I just think she’s absurdly annoying. Never said she isn’t a good character or anything. I just simply don’t like her. Like at all

a_daichi

No thank you!!! I seriously don’t care if a character I don’t particularly like is someone else’s top 5 or 10. Like it’s not a big deal!

Nasty

Erwin's dub is amazing, sub is decent.

Sean Carroll

People are allowed to love Kenny if they want I’m not stopping that. I simply don’t think there is much to his character and find him overhyped. It’s kind of like Levi on a far lower level. I love Levi but the fandom treat him as if he is one of the greatest characters of all time and I personally think he’s slightly overhyped as well.

Sean Carroll

Can’t score if you never shoot. Onto the next one

Slizzle

Nerd its his favorites, he doesn’t have to bring out a list of reasons to convince you lmao

Usaid Munir

Hannes wasn't fooling around or trying to take revenge. They were in a completely open field, highly disadvantageous for even skilled ODM users. Hannes knew himself he was just an average user with no experience of fighting titans. In an open field, unless you're really fast like Levi or Mikasa, you're bound to be caught by the titan unless you keep moving around like Hannes did, making it harder to get a kill shot. The BIG difference was that first episode, Hannes had good ODM environment but was too scared and unsure of his ability to take on the titan. However, this time, he took it on in even worse conditions because of Eren and Mikasa. His dying gaze is not of fear. It shows him relieved as he finally got the answer to his question, "What would've happened if he had stayed to fight in ep 1?" He got the answer. He would've died along with Eren and Mikasa. So HE'S GLAD HE DIDN'T FIGHT THAT TIME.

Melly

Exactly especially because the line “nothing has changed” is relevant in that scene as well!

Paul Durbin

That is actually pretty wild. I remember stumbling across the yt channel when 1x1 was uploaded. I think I came here when season 2 started. Cool to see how the channel has grown since then.

rac coun

Please do end-of-season discussions again and let the new geks react to the OVAs.

Etain

holy freak i never knew that

Kim 555

Girl delete the girls read the comments

Sean Carroll

Relax slizzle, it’s just a bit of fun

pineapplegreg

I go back and watch that specific scene every so often to get that special feeling it gives to me

pineapplegreg

Since Bradlynn brought it up.. that same titan looks eerily similar to my 10th grade AP English teacher Ms. Rice 🤣

Slizzle

Sean I wasn’t replying to you

Sheru

Loving loving lovinggg it so far!! Also, quick headsup S4P1 suffers kinda the same issues as S1 regarding release quality. So if yall can avail Blu ray for that as well, it'd go a long way :)

JMP

My top 5 would be; Armin, Jean, Beast Titan, Eren, Reiner. HM: Sasha’s dad

aubrey

ppl saying their top 5s.... i think mine is hange > armin > levi > jean > ymir / historia (do not separate them) i've always loved ymir! imo she and historia are so underrated and their stories and dynamic are some of the most complex of the show and i feel like they get overshadowed a lot. i also think i feel a personal connection to them due to aspects of them/their relationship that might be considered spoilers? not sure, but it's really really special to see it in anime

TheSauceGuy

Who's worse, Zenitsu or Ymir?

Andrew Stuart

The best part about all of this is that it just continues to get better. There's no drop off, and things just continue to escelate and continue to get even better. The person in the middle will love the beginning of S3, I think.

lololol

my top 5 at any point is 1. eren 2. erwin 3. beast titan 4. levi 5. character yet to be introduced (F*o**) hm: mikasa

kiiturii

@CHIEF that's the problem with dub, they have to warp sentences to fit the lip syncing, it's a huge limitation and often makes dub sound goofy or unnatural

MissJodles

Top 5: Levi, Eren, Armin, Mikasa, and 5th would be up between Hange/Reiner/Historia

MissJodles

But honestly the character writing in this show is so good that I think any top 5 is pretty valid

Segen

aren’t they going to watch the levi thing instead of starting season 3 today?

Jenny D

This was short and crazy season. The girls were speculating whether or not they had to eat a person to become human again. This is my first watch so for all I know I'm wrong. I don't think Berholdt ate that guy. I think he just took his ODM gear. Not sure if he killed him in the process. I think Ymir only turned human after devouring their friend because he may have been a Titan that could also shift back into human form and maybe when she ate him she inherited his powers? I was also confused as to how Ymir and the other titans originally turned into the Titans. They were pushed off a wall, but it seemed like there was fire below. So I hope they go into detail as to how titans came about. I liked both season 1 and 2. But I will say that this second season was trickier because it's short and I would like to have seen more character development like Bradlynn mentioned. I was sad when Hannes died. But, I'm glad Eren was able to finally get revenge on the Titan who killed his mom and then Hannes. Hopefully he can learn how to use that power more to control the titans. I hope in season 3 we get to see the other side more and get some more incite on their goal.

chaosmerchant

I’d be so curious to learn why F****, I feel like I’m in two minds

Pudding

Woow thanks!

Pudding

Ooh, interesting list! I rarely see Hange, Ymir/Historia in top 5's, you're goated. Hange is also truly underrated I feel

Julio Martinez

My boy Jotaro is goated, I mean Erwin 😏

Jenny D

I've been told!

AlecSinWonderland

Mikasa talking to Historia in dub goes so hard. Just noticed in sub is really lackluster. The animations intensity is better suited in Dub too

Chayma

My top 5 is : Reiner, Annie, Armin, and 2 other characters who will be introduced later 🥸

Paul Durbin

These 3 episodes have to be so confusing if you haven't completed the show.

Mitch

Highly disagree 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Mitch

ORA ORA ORA ORA. MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA. Za Warudo, tomare Tokyo!

DepressedSoggyWaffle

Skip for sure. I will never understand why some people insist reactors watch it. Honestly don’t really get why the directors put that scene in in general. It does nothing except lessen the impact of certain scenes later.

kaz

Personal Top 5: 1. Reiner 2. Reiner 3. Reiner 4. Reiner 5. Reiner guys w short blond spiked hair >>> also he's such a deep character like

Billie

season two will always be my favourite I see. short and sweet. quite simple but reiner and bertholdt’s reveal is insane and on rewatch therr were so many long still shots ok then lol hindsight 20/20. Ymir and Annie are also great characters that have been introduced, esp ymir. You also see for the first time that there’s more to these titans and this whole story as opposed to just being human vs titan and the ending ? 😌😋

Billie

Ymir is a great and underrated character!!

Billie

I don’t have characters I love enough for top five 🤷🏽‍♀️ even though I like a lot of the most liked ones like levi and Erwin but so far ok a rewatch, armin stands out to me having finished the show and also hange. Possible top five: ymir and reiner

Billie

More about the crazy next seasons another day 🤓

Kai

Why can't I unlock Attack on Titan No Regrets? Isn't it part of the anime-only membership?

PinoyAkoPH

Would you boys be willing to react to the Grissini Project's orchestral cover of AOT's soundtracks? Incredibly epic performances coming from the orchestra and soloists.

7thdilemma

It is. One of the most satisfying rewatches.

Daniel Geary

The BEST part about Hannes’s death is the fact that he lost. He spends years regretting his decision not to fight, so this time he does, and he loses. He realized he would have lost back then, getting Mikasa and Eren killed. He finally had confirmation that he did the right thing, and you can tell thats what he’s thinking

hayden 💟

I love armin 🥹🥹💗

rian

mane these girls smart asf xD

Chang NP

I can't watch the OVA 😭

Lydia

Everytime I watch it, it’s confirmed that eren scene is the best voice acting I’ve ever heard.

Safaricat

one thing i love about this show is that every season feels different. the tone, the questions, the world view, everything. you literally go on this journey with the characters.

Zipzzty

I SAID ADVANCE GOD DAMN IT! Erwin the Goat

Zipzzty

Goated Moment Mikasa Telling Eren

joursh

its actually so shocking when you realize that the incapacitated titan is connies mom. its horrifying and completely changes the direction of the show

joursh

honestly, ymirs backstories is one of the best in aot IMO. i love how complex she is as a character and everything she stands for. i used to not care for her at all, even on my first watch, but everytime i rewatch, her backstory hits harder. in hindsight its a lot better as well

joursh

BRIG LIKING YMIR'S BACKSTORY?? IRL CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT THATS SO PEAK

joursh

love the intensity of hannes in these episodes. you can really feel his emotions and how driven he is. end of episode 10 with hannes dialogue gives me chills everytime

joursh

bertholdt is superr super underrated as a character honestly. besides the fact that his name got memed into oblivion, hes probably the most down to earth warrior, and actually took his sins head on without making any excuses about what he had done. also, his dialogue is genuinely so good. he doesnt speak a lot, but when he does its straight bars

joursh

on the first watch, its definitely a bit hard to understand why ymir is acting the way she is and why she so desperately wants to hand over historia to reiner and bertholdt, but in hindsight it makes perfect sense. any flak towards ymir is fair at this point in time, as you really dont know what the situation is

joursh

ADVANCE!!!!!!!!

joursh

rip hannes. that scene is so sad

joursh

W end to the season
