ok i got so confused... I remembered seeing a planet of the apes movie as a kid and really loving it, like had the dvd and everything, but when i googled this movie the cast was different and it came out in 2011 so i was like "wait wtf" having a nostalgia crisis or thinking i had a false memory, only to realize tim burton did a stand alone remake of the original in 2001, which is the movie in my head when people talk planet of the apes... haha anyways all that to say I have not seen any of these new ones so im excited! I somehow dont even think i realized they made all these new movies??

All hail the great 💚CAESAR💚 (also Jack NO, Caesar could never be a villain) This is an amazing trilogy, Caesar💚 is the best!!! ...love him to bits. He's a way better leader than most human leaders today. Hope u guys react to the other two. Caesar only bit the finger. It was still attached, so that nasty neighbour was lucky. Notice after all he's been through, Caesar has no first instinct or intention to kill humans or hurt people, just to free his apes. He never even killed the nasty Draco. He killed himself out of stupidity. Also, the apes didn't kill any innocents. They just trashed a few offices and scared people tbf. My heart always breaks when Caesar has to reject Will by staying & you can see he's putting his fellow apes first. You can see how heartbroken Caesar was to reject his human dad after he turned his back, its clear how hard it was for him. Love that Caesar continued using his window as his symbol on street signs after escaping. I always root for the apes i love them, plus animals are true to their nature, & we betray ours. Also, Caesar can be infected again, so he also gets even smarter when inhaling the 1.13 virus too, plus Caesar is way more intelligent since he had a proper human childhood education from Will. Caesar making Rocket (the former alpha) give out cookies wasn't a punishment guys. It was actually Caesar giving him a new title and role as his lieutenant, he was being a generous kind leader as always. Good way to remember what apes are is that Monkeys have tails. Apes are very different and so much like us humans. (Apes- Chimpanzees, Gorillas & Orangutans)

Humans find every reason to fight amongst themselves, but learning to coexist with another species of similar intelligence would be cool. The main issue here is the virus' impact on humans. I will always be on team Caesar, but is there even anyone who roots for the humans when watching this movie?

they are both primates but so are humans. Apes are just a different animal. Easiest way to tell is if they have a tail. Apes don't have tails whereas most monkeys do

I freaking love apes, they are so fascinating. Gorillas are actually known to be gentle giants, just need to avoid eye contact with silverbacks, make yourself as small as possible and not move. Seen a video of a photographer guy who had a whole family of wild gorillas passing by him in the jungles and the younglings got curious and started playing with his hair. Amazing stuff

You are correct; both apes and monkeys are classified as primates, but apes are not monkeys, and monkeys are not apes. Also, all the apes affected in these films seem to be non-human great apes (chimps, bonobos, gorillas, and orangutans), whereas lesser apes (gibbons/siamangs) aren't shown. If lesser apes are impacted, they haven't been shown yet.

Jacob's didn't just kill infected apes though, he killed 12 healthy apes at the start of the movie without even testing for contamination. He definitely deserved to die, people like him cause the issues then blame the poor animals tested on.
