@McKay I don’t think Shoto has a problem with following rules exactly, but a lack of trust in authority figures to do the right thing/get the job done. Like the time he lashed out at the dog police chief. His main authority figure being Endeavor probably put that chip on his shoulder. Shoto was never saved by anyone from Endeavor who, as a hero and a father, should have been a role model for him growing up. How can he trust them to do it now for Bakugo? However misguided, it’s understandable.

The voice acting in this show is just phenomenal man, I think the sub has the most stacked cast I've ever seen like literally every character has a good voice actor, even just a scene like Iida's speech to Midoriya, Kirishima and Todoroki gave me chills. If arguably the most promising and famous 1st year perusing a career that is the embodiment of maintaining peace and safety was converted into a villain, it would destabilise the moral and optimism of the whole country, it would be a great win for the villians. IMO that’s why they want Bakugo so bad.

IMO Season 5 is the only season that I think falls below the "it's really good" line. Mostly because the first half of S5 is probably the only time in the entire show that I think the pacing is kinda...bad. Every other season has peaks and valleys but it always moves at a good pace and there's at least 2 episodes every season that are just fantastic.

I respect it but hard disagree, season 3 is more on target with getting to know the villains actual goal and their first major leap towards that goal. Season 4 equally drives the story forward cause it is important but it stills feels like more of a side quest in the main plot because either is. It doesn’t amount to as much as it could’ve which is my main drawback when I think about the payoff later. This season represents everything the core of the show is about but again that’s just how I view it. I totally understand why you prefer season 4. It is still peak period.

The whole conversation around his rage, aggressive tendencies, and the way people perceive him plays a huge role in understanding his character. No spoilers ofc—but that lingering question becomes really important when analyzing his mindset and development moving forward, for better or worse. Definitely something to keep an eye on!

not only that, UA sport festival is on par with the Olympics. The student tops that competition has to be insanely good, and in season 1 it's only established that some class 1A students is already on the same level as an average pro hero. These kids are some of the best in the whole nation. It's easy to underestimate Bakugo because he's a student, but if he's turned to the villain side he'll add so much power to their group. It's only natural that they target the troubled top student who's promising to rise to the pinnacle of hero society to taint UA's reputation

Watching S3 Ep 7 with you guys in full really makes me realise just how selfish Izuku actually is. The amount of willful attitude he has when he sets his mind to do smth is leagues higher than the soft, malleable, kind impression he gives. We always see Izuku being gentle outside of fighting villains and training , be it his voice, his facial expressions, his words, or his movements, and it often gives the audience the feeling that he's super friendly, super approachable, and super easy-going. The thing is, he IS all of those things. But he's also one of the most stubborn characters in the series, because his selfishness stems from his desire to SELFLESS. To save people. To reach those he can reach AS LONG AS they are within his power and ability to grab onto. If there is even so much of a glimpse of hope, he's going to charge forward without thinking about his own well being, and probably get gravely injured in the process. He did it with Katsuki in S1 when he saw him being swallowed by the slime villain, then again when All Might almost got dusted by Shigaraki in S1's last episode, again during his fight with Todoroki in the sports festival tournament, again when he saved Kota from Muscular, AND again when he proceeded to try and save his childhood friend despite his heavy injuries, and despite him already being captured by the villains. Izuku DOESN'T stop to think about how his actions might cause others grief before he makes decisions related to his budding hero path, whether it be his mother (who has told him multiple times that the situations he keeps getting himself into worry her to death), All Might/Aizawa (he keeps pushing forward with his reckless actions even when his own mentors advice otherwise), or his own friends (case in point, Iida, Tsuyu, Shoji, etc). Specifically, Katsuki said "Don't come, Deku." and this could mean a variety of things if you're far ahead in the series. However, the primary meaning at this point would be that Katsuki doesn't want Izuku to save him, because he can't stand the thought of Izuku trying to save him AGAIN. But does Izuku listen? NO. He goes. He's still trying to save him. And this incident makes it abundantly clear just how little he thinks of himself when his hero instincts kick in. He's not just selfish, he's SELFISHLY selfless. And that's even more dangerous because of the profession he's trying to get into. He could literally get killed, or like Iida said, destroy his body beyond repair in the process. In short, Izuku is fking insane. In a semi-sane way. And under no circumstances should he ever be mistaken for a normal person. No normal person would jump straight into a fight without thinking about the consequences, or be willing to break all of their bones just to show the world that they have something to prove.

Anyways, I loved the discussion in this reaction. It feels so relatable because I was also anxious and afraid about what's going to happen, esp after the foreboding lines of "major incident" that adult Izuku keeps referring to. The sense of tension and apprehension really makes you dread but also can't wait to see the next few episodes. Speaking of episodes, I'm sure everyone in the comment section has already said this, but I would really recommend watching Eps 9, 10, 11 together in one sitting. They go hand in hand and connect to one another FAR too well for you guys to watch them separately. It's literally one of the biggest incidents in the entire series. And y'all ain't ready for what's about to go down. Shit's about to hit the fan, that I can say.

Also! In case y'all need a reminder, I'll put this under every vid for the Geks to refer to if they need it and update it as we finish the seasons HAHA! MHA watch order goes (ideally + reasons): Season 3 -> Season 4 -> Season 5 (Ep 1 to 12) Movie 2: Heroes Rising Season 5 (Ep 13 to 25) -> Movie 3: World Heroes' Mission Season 6 -> Season 7 (Ep 1-4) -> Movie 4: You're Next Season 7 (Ep 5-21) Something to note is that Studio Bones messed up the order of the arcs in the second half of S5. So originally, the last two arcs should have been in the opposite order from what is presented in the anime. Just for you guys to know, movie 2's events are supposed to happen after the last arc in S5 (which was supposed to come before the second arc of S5). And accordingly, movie 3's events are supposed to happen during the second arc of S5 (which was supposed to come after the last arc of S5).

@Cat Oh no he definitely thinks about the consequences of his actions. And you're right when you say he does things regardless of what he knows the consequences to be. But the one thing he doesn't think about enough is his own well being and others' wishes about him saving them. The consequences I was talking about at the end was actually referring to the time when he tried to save Katsuki from the slime villain without even having the means to do so. That was the very first instance he showed that he's an unhinged kid. Cause no kid would ever do that just to save their childhood friend-turned-bully. Yes haha! I'm glad we can agree on that front!

I would NOT watch the movie in between season 7. season 7 is pretty tight and the episodes flow into one another, disrupting that for a movie that's like semi canon disrupts the dramaturgy . Just watch the movie after, release order is best, i think

He's soooo lucky things always turn out all right in the end but aizawa is right when he says that izukus recklessness is a burden to his teammates. Like what if at the sludge incident All might wasn't there or way truly out of steam? Sludge has two hostages now. In this case too. Midoriya is fucked up and can't do much, if he stayed behind tentacole would have been able to move better, maybe they woould have noticed bakugo and tokiyami missing earlier. And him surviving the all might test is just pure plot armor

@limini He definitely does get lucky. Especially with the sludge villain. But I think the point is that if you can help even a little then it's always worth trying. Deku will always try to save someone if they are within reach. No matter how broken his body is. And Deku has a great mind for strategy. Always had, long before he got one for all. He came up with the plan to help dark shadow and reach Bakugo at the same time and how to catch up to compress. He didn't need his arms or his quirk for any of that. And Bakugo was his childhood friend. Can't really expect Deku to just go back to base and kick his feet up while he's just been snatched by villains. They are still all kids at the end of the day. Their logic is gonna be flawed sometimes.

I don't think Bakugo will become a villain. I see what Cannon says about All Might because Bakugo admires him. But I still don't see Bakugo going to the dark side. I wonder who will get to the villains first. The students or the pros? Excited for the next drop

Look at what happened with Stain and how it has now affected villains all around and forming together. And all 3 of them almost died trying to fight off Stain. I would be upset too if I was Iida and I'm seeing my friends making the same mistake I did by going after villains for personal reasons. Just because they we let off from before, doesn't mean there won't be consequences this time around. They definitely should have left it to the pros because they are just starting to learn how to be a hero. But I get they're jut kids and aren't thinking clearly, they just want to save their friend. At least they had a plan not to fight them head-on. Also the disguises had me weakkkkkk 😂 especially Deku's😂 I love how most people assumed that Bakugo would turn to the villian side in this episode, but man said ain't nothing ever changing my mind to not be a hero like All Might

@Limini Wellll it's more of a convenience thing just in case they want to check what the watch order is in the middle of the season. I know they look through the comments under most videos so I just post every reaction video so they won't ever be left hanging or having to ask someone else irl. Idk about them knowing the order by now, but some of the first time watchers and rewatchers of MHA on patreon have expressed their gratitude to me for putting the list every video so I'm doing it for those who don't know the watch order yet as well. It ain't harming anyone so I figured it was fine Oh and to answer your second reply, I put movie 4 in the middle of S7 because I was informed that the events supposedly happen during the gap made by the few days time jump to the next episode. I actually haven't watch it just yet, so I was just following someone else's suggestion. Do you think it's really better to watch it after? I know some people say that watching the movies after trivialises the point of the movie so I've been hearing both sides a LOT. Would really appreciate your opinion so I can change it if necessary haha
