It worth it. It just wild. Season 1 was emotional, season 2 is more happy and laughing and season 3 is so much more emotional since we have so many storylines and so main characters that actually matter compared to season 1

Gi-hun not going through with killing the others in their sleep reflects so much on what this show is about. It pushes back on the Front Man’s whole ideology that people will always give in and choose the selfish option. But Gi-hun shows that even in a place like this you can still hold onto your humanity. The Front Man seeing this happen forces him to question if he’s been wrong this whole time, trying to validate his own sick actions by testing Gi-hun. It’s a cool detail that really brings the bigger message of the show full circle—how hard it is to stay human in a messed up system, but how that choice still matters

Front Man has repeatedly challenged Gi-hun's morals/resolve. It is indicative of his guilty conscience. In a twisted way, Front Man wants Gi-hun to trek the same path as him to justify & validate his horrible action & choices- past & present. Gi-hun is a reflection of what he could've been. He just witnessed that it's possible to make the morally correct decision in the most difficult & shitty circumstances. S/o to Sae-byeok! Meeting good people along the way sticks w/you. I bet Front Man feels inferior mixed w/respect & admiration.

He killed our goat #120 bc of his greed, therefore lost all of Jun-hee's trust bc of it, and now in this final situation with Gi-hun bc he got more greedy and decided to kill #100 before the next round right before Mr. Lunchbox decided to off himself. He's the greediest of them all and continues to make the worst decisions due to that fact.

Minsu's really lost it. He's tripping out like crazy... I know he's still dealing with the regret and loss of not helping out Semi. I actually liked her character. I think she had a lot of potential. Watching someone that cared about you getting brutally stabbed like that by Namgyu would be painful since Minsu kind of liked her maybe. But he was too much of coward to do anything about it. He was frozen in fear and scared to get in the middle of it. I'm not sure how I feel about his character to be honest. I feel like they could have made his character much better but I guess he's more realistic in this type of situation where your life is on the line.

Gi-hun rejoined the games to try and save people and prove humanity is better than this but people cheering for him to kill the father also is disgusting, he abandoned his freedom to be with his family/daughter to come back into this mess and didnt have a plan.

Well the baby is innocent and unfortunately does not have the power to defend itself from all those people but wanting the baby to survive when the rest of them want to also return to their families that they have spent YEARS with is a more logical choice than gambling on the new born babies future, having lived through life and being afraid of death is a much bigger harm than a life that hasnt experienced life yet so its ignorant of everything, baby might end up a drug addict dying on the streets and no one cares.

The way the last game plays out pisses me off. Why were both of them just watching the lunch box guy slowly crawl to the edge and die, like sprint and grab a leg. Such silly mistakes man, like the situation was so avoidable. Not even gonna talk about what happens in the next episode but like bro.

This game was more of a psychological battle & their "democratic process" is just political theater. Front Man calling them "trash" is correct considering that they're willing to commit infanticide. Mind you, baby is the only one on that island who is wholly innocent! These people are the lowest of the low & that makes Gi-hun's humanity even stronger when he chose not to kill them in their sleep. & lunch box?! That's so foul writers.

Everyone we’ve met since season 1 were there bc they have no bright future outside or have no one or place to go back to. It’s tragic and inhumane to be killing them one by one while the higher ups in the game call them “trash” even tho a lot of them indeed were, but it’s just as inhumane if not more to not give the newborn a chance to live its newly given life whether it ends up a drug addict or not. Overall it shouldn’t be one over the other but if I had to choose I’m giving the baby a chance at life.

I've never even heard of "lunchbox." That's a really twisted game, poor guy. Not going to lie, that was hard to watch. Almost everyone is evil and full of greed on this show aside from a few good people such as Jun-ho his right hand, sorry I forgot his name but he's the leader of the crew. Mr. Choi, the father who got shot, Kang No-eul, and Gihun. And of course the baby since it's innocent in all this.

I kinda get what you mean. I had some issues with how certain things played out too, but everyone online seems to be defending it. There are definitely some strong moments and themes, but also a few choices that just felt kinda dumb lol. But yeah I’m sure the next episode’s gonna spark a lot of discussion.

He comes across as an antinatalist, but I can understand part of what he's saying. I have a somewhat similar thought process when it comes to abortion. I feel that denying a woman access to professional abortion is a more cruel punishment than killing an unborn fetus. In the show, the baby is already born, and NOT killing it results in certain death for at least one adult, so there are significant differences from what I mentioned regarding abortion.

The fact that those rats couldn’t even fathom why Gi-hun would risk his life to protect the baby (to the point that they literally assumed he was the father) is crazy. They just couldn’t wrap their heads around someone doing something selfless without a personal gain. It really shows that greed and survival instincts have taken over, and how empathy starts to look foreign in a system like this

When I watched this originally, this was my thought process for how to win the final challenge based on the given instructions without needless deaths: 1. Use the jacket as a little hammock for the baby and tie it to the pole. 2. Place the baby in the jacket on the ground while it's still tied to the pole. 3. Raise the pole and push the baby in the jacket off the edge of the platform. 4. Hold the pole with the baby in the jacket still hanging from it off the edge of the platform. I also thought of options that wouldn't put the baby at risk, but they're all very iffy as to how reliable they'd be. Still, I think the listed method would work given the instructions, but they'd probably add more details that would make the plan no longer work.

I really felt bad for sweet Minsu. Like you both said, he’s exactly that. The timid sheep that was just stuck there. He got pressured/bullied into hitting the O button and just wanted to do well by surviving thinking Thanos and Namgyu would consider him a friend and keep him alive and ended up subconsciously betraying Semi. Then got overridden with guilt. Such a shame. ☹️

Yeah there's still good left in Minsu even after everything. But yeah you're right, he does just blindly follow others and has no will or desire to actually fight. If this game happened in real life, I can see some people being like him. I feel bad for his character and the trauma he's been feeling. He's so pitiful but you kind of also just want to give him a hug 😭

I liked the substitute frontman, but I thought his death wasn't done very well. HOW did he forget the gun was in the elevator after wrestling it away from her and leaving it there? Then, instead of hiding around the corner once she got it, he runs towards her lol? At least he did the Markiplier jump before dying.

Not only is the edge more dangerous for them to try to eliminate you, but if they eliminate you without separating you from the baby, they screw themselves over because they’ll have to eliminate one of their own on the last platform

What’s random about the player 246 plot line? It’s been a good look into the worker side of things and has made sense since the beginning no? Her attachment to his daughter, her guilt for what happened with her child/family. She killed the ‘new frontman’, she ruined the organ harvesting they were doing and killed those workers, so it’s not like she’s done nothing. She’s not Gi-hun, her goal hasn’t been to shut down the games so I’m not sure why there has to be a direct line from her to Gi-hun or the detective

I think maybe he was just stressed about how close Gi-hun was to the edge (and just the overall intensity of the scene) but yeah I fully agree with you. They were doubting him but Gi-hun was actually doing the right thing. He stood his ground and kept the baby safe BECAUSE he had survival instincts and a plan, not because he didn’t.

I don't disagree with you. It's an incredibly common and overdone trope for the villain to get the upper hand and then talk themselves to death. It's rare for this dynamic not to feel forced, but I'll at least admit that I enjoyed him talking about how he lost someone close to him because they couldn't get a replacement kidney. It makes his position more interesting, at least.

It's not super long, and it's pretty entertaining (I am not a VIP, I swear). Each season has a different vibe, so I feel like you'll like at least one of them.

I guess Gi-Hun could've used the knife more effectively, like using it as a deterrence for them getting closer and maybe even being aggressive with it and pushing the other players closer to the edge. Also try to manipulate and play more of a mind game with the others trying to get them to turn on each other, similar to what he did with that guy trying to push him off after drawing lots. Gi-Hun is still at a big disadvantage even with the knife. 5v1 (not including mg coin) while trying to protect a baby in a small area with nowhere to run or hide. Before the knife reveal, I'm curious to know what Cannon thought Gi-Hun could've or should've done beforehand other than I guess more psychological stuff. It seems like a pretty impossible situation to get out of without risking of him or the baby's life.

Circle triangle and square are also how Korean letters in Squid game look - 오징어 게임. letter "ㅇ" is like -ng ending or is used to accompany vowels in the syllable, square ㅁ is M sound and ㅅ (s) ㅈ (j) sounds. So they incorporated PlayStation signs and letters and how squid in squid game looks, they draw triangle circle and square on the ground. Pretty clever I also wondered why they couldn't take the dead guy and throw him in the last round. Rule was to push someone from the column, they never mentioned that it has to be someone alive.

Watching this just now...... I don't get why the black masked man lets the soldier girl live. He could have easily planned to kill her in the previous episode/s when she was bargaining... "to not cause any commotion" because of the VIPs don't make sense.. Really, they wouldn't even know, and killing her was probably the best case scenario for them.
