You guys introduced this show to me and I’ve had a lot of fun with it, so thanks boys. On another note, I don’t want to assume, but the audio issues might be caused by the blue yeti. I used to own one and I would always have to fiddle with the cable to make it work. If that’s the case, I’d recommend investing in an XLR mic + audio interface instead. Way more stable and not that pricey, even for a basic but decent set. Just my two cents since I’ve noticed this happen quite a bit 🫡

Bae Nara (baek jin) is such a good actor! He was on an episode of D.P. (deserter pursuit) which is a military drama focusing on bullying and the hierarchy of the army (highly recommend, on netflix) and he's also a musical actor! That's probably why hes so clean with his fight choreography. He's also super sweet irl (which you guys will be able to see if you watch the behind the scenes 👀) (please) love you guys and thanks for the reaction! 🩷

Oh, if you guys haven’t caught it yet, in the beginning where baekjin was talking to the woman, she is actually a caretaker at the orphanage baekjin grew up in. So baekjin is actually an orphan. So when she was talking about him providing padded jackets to the kids, it was referring to baekjin providing necessities as charity for the kids that were currently in the orphanage he was in as a kid. The clip of baku and baekjin as kids walking to the orphanage was baku trying to not make baekjin feel uncomfortable and ashamed about living in orphanage. That’s why he said his place or house looked so nice.

the webtoon version is crazy baek jin actually wins against them both in the original and is the last man standing one of the only villains in series that win the final fight at the end. they skip about over 200 chaps worth of content in the series so if u ever wanna know baek jins backstory and all that read it for sure

I watched the first season and it’s definitely not a “girly” show. It’s about fights and school bullying. I ended up dropping it because the plot got too illogical for me but if you don’t overthink the storyline it’s actually pretty entertaining and easy to get into

I mean of course I wanted more I wanted them to hug, cry, and just talk like crazy but su ho’s chill down the earth demeanor was perfect. Asked if si eun was ok, and just glad to see he made friends. Baek-jin was a great but sad villain. If anyone missed it, we learned in this episode that he was an orphan and all the money he made he’d buy gifts and donate to the orphanage he grew up in. I wish they gave more of his backstory to why he became the way that he did and touched more on him and Baku’s past friendship. Anyway. It’s been a great ride with you guys 🥹 the best reactors to this show. And I loved every comment section it was always so wholesome and fun. Now I’m sad that it’s over 🥲 but I’m sure we will have a good time in the next one! 🫰🏻🫰🏻🫰🏻 I’ll be here for Class 3.

Surprisingly entertaining show, the drama felt superficial but I liked the bonds the characters had. Some great acting made scenes more impactful and the fighting was SO GOOD. I liked the goofiness present in the second season but to the end I still feel like Si Un was a very boring protagonist, feel like any other protag in his shoes would be more entertaining but oh well, it worked well enough. Appreciated the Baek jin - Baku storyline a lot, best personal drama in the series I think, shame it wasn't expanded upon enough imo. Overall entertaining show, some nice cinematography, nice music and nice cast. Only felt the script lacked depth and was way too convenient most of the time. Definitely had fun and one of the better reacted series from you guys honestly

I work in healthcare and see patients all the time who has been in a coma and just woke up. Most people are still trying to process everything, where they are and what their life will be from then on. Even when they see their loved ones, they are a bit out of it and just calm because it would be too overwhelming for them to have people all up in their faces and doing too much with reintroduction. So most seem to have a different outlook on life as well. Almost like they have experienced something that us who have never been in a coma has experienced that can’t be explained. The korean drama the light shop gives a realistic reaction of people who wake up from a coma. So suho’s reaction is pretty realistic. You also can’t compare who is better at being friends with sieun. Because both approach being friends with others in different ways. So it’s not really comparable. Each bring their own essence and dynamic to their friendship with sieun.

Idk I felt very differently about the reunion. I thought it was more heartfelt and impactful because they were both so calm and sentimental. Checking how eachother were before anything else. More authentic than if they were screaming or jumping up and down. A lot of horrible stuff has happened to both of them. And they were showing how important they are to eachother. I think Su-ho was grateful to see that Si-eun hadn't regressed and was engaging in life and friendship the way Su-ho would have wanted

na baek jin was such a beast to take on baku and then si eun consecutively. I haven't read it myself yet but I heard he was even stronger in the webtoon. I also like that his character wasn't just evil to be evil. Using his money from the union he was giving back to the orphanage he grew up in. Such a great character.

When they were interpreting it that way, i was confused. Lol. Because i got the same aura you felt about the interaction. To me it felt like suho was seeing how sieun finally overcame alot that was holding him back, that sieun finally seemed to be content and happy, and he was happy to see the physical results of that. I think he even would become friends with sieun’s new friends as well because he just seems like a true, easygoing, down to earth genuine person.

Now that I've watched both seasons. I'll say I still prefer season 1. Season 2 was amazing, and I really liked the new dynamics. Baku, especially. S1 had relatively low stakes, it somehow felt more grounded if that makes sense. Maybe because the writers had a lot of room to be creative with the story's direction. I wish they established Baek-jin and Baku's story more because I found myself feeling really bad for Baek-jin with the little I knew about him. Overall, I really really liked S2

I don't think Su-ho was out of character in the reunion scene. We've seen him be calm and introspective before, especially near the end of season one, before he went to face Beom-Seok. No one is authentically energetic and bubbly all the time. And he did just wake up from a very long nap

I think after being in a coma for 1-2 years, Suho was not going to be super outgoing. Also, he wasn't that outgoing to begin with. At least not like Baku. He was sleepy and chill and laid back. I think him asking how he's been and then saying it's good to see him having friends fit with his personality perfectly. The fact that Suho is the one who befriended Sieun first in school and was really his only friend before going into the coma, it probably is a relief to see him with friends and happy. I think he's proud of Sieun and happy that he helped him be able to make friends.

I remember when Cannon asked if it was a fight or celebration. I was like just you wait, you're in for a treat! That epic final showdown took them roughly a month to film. i don’t think it’s wrong to wish it went a different way because i’ve noticed there’s two different reactions to the reunion scene: some people wish they talked more and suho was expressing a little more. and that they hugged. and others that thought it went perfectly. personally i’m in the boat of thinking it went perfectly. i wouldn’t have minded if it went the way some people wanted but i think this way fits too. like you guys said suho just woke up - the last thing he remembers is fighting and now he’s woken up almost 2 years later missing 2 years of his life and finding out what happened to him. the fact he’s not completely dissociating is miracle enough. i also just think for suho and sieun their thing has always been being able to talk through their eyes and not need words. i just think for them this was perfect but i also understand wanting more from it.

And based on that ending there’s no way they’re not planning to continue. The show’s highly praised too, so I’d say it’s more a matter of when not if!

Ngl Baek-jin’s character deserved a better adaptation. He is Donald Na & is among my favorites in the webtoon. You learn more about his tragic upbringing & see why he turned to a life of crime for survival. He rose through the ranks, unified the middle schools in the district, & gained notoriety. He was his own boss. He was the strongest & never lost a fight. Donald Na is a foil to Gray Yeon (Si-eun). They've both suffered from classmates & adults in their lives. However, Gray was surrounded by good people whereas Donald was alone. This resulted them making different choices & walking different paths. Donald also wondered if he had met Gray earlier would they have been friends? He imagined a world where they became friends & attended the same school together.

Actually, Suho never expected that Sieun would still wait for him that's why the meeting is a bit awkward. He probably thought it's better to move on from him. It's the same in the manhwa, because it's always Suho who keeps approaching Sieun. In the manhwa, you will love Suho more because he has more depth. He's literally the people's "Weak Hero", as confirmed by the author. As for Baek-Jin, it was never clear if he killed himself. This is the end of the manhwa series so S3 (not confirmed) will probably have an original storyline, and will add more characters from the manhwa.

anyway on the comparison of suho and baku: the director actually said something interesting. he said the main difference between them is baku is doing what he does to protect everyone and the whole school. he’s for the people basically. while suho did everything to protect sieun. which is interesting to me because if you were to switch baku and suho around i absolutely do not think suho would go through all that trouble to protect the school. to protect sieun? yes. but not the school. a good example is suho just let the bullying in the school in s1 happen until it came to sieun after they became friends. that doesn’t make suho a bad person he just has his own set of morals. it makes him more interesting to me actually.

I felt sad seeing Baekjin and Baku fight like that to almost the death... You can see the pain in both of their faces, the tension in the air, the exhaustion they both began to feel. Friends turn to enemies, it's such a tragic tale. Baekjin looked relieved when Baku was okay after all those vicious punches to the face one after the next. He seemed full of regret and sadness in that very moment. You can tell with the look in his eyes, he started to question and almost rethink his decision and why it came down to this brutal epic showdown. He misses his dear friend so much but it's far too late at this point to make amends. Too much has happened already for them to go back to the way things were, sadly. Yes the Vampire King is the goat and so freaking powerful with his demon aura taking over. His dark magnetic energy being released when he fights his opponents, it's insane. I swear I'm constantly mesmerized with his fighting style and how strong he is in general. It's very satisfying to watch the intensity building with each punch, with each kick, with each hit... Baku is pretty strong as well. They are almost to each other's level with their fighting prowess. I think Baekjin might have a weak shoulder and that might be why Baku kept targeting that one area. It could be his weak vulnerable points. But please don't quote on me that since I haven't read the manhwa. I'm not entirely sure. The manhwa/webtoon readers of this show can fill you guys in properly. But anyway, so many tough formidable fighters in Weak Hero, I love them all. Each of them bring something different to the table. Goodness, I couldn't stop feeling bad for Baekjin too. My heart really went out to him. He's had such a tragic broken life being an orphan and not having any proper light to follow, no love around him, no sense of direction, or any form of comfort aside from Baku and him being best friends during their childhood days. That's why he's trying to keep that even if it means to force Baku to join him against his own will. He wants him to stay by his side like a possesion. When their friendship eventually fell apart, and he was left alone, it made him feel abandoned and betrayed. However Baku chose to be on the good side and stand up for what's right while Baekjin decided to live in the darkness and only listen to his evil and corrupted desires for control and power against the weak. He liked the way it made him feel. But at the same time, him donating the money that the Union made to the orphange for the kids to have proper clothes such as padded jackets to keep them warm. It really gives him dimension and shows that he has some humility left inside even after everything and truly cares about people. A part of him is still holding out and trying to be good as complicated and crazy as that sounds. Man when he was laying there pratically lifeless and broken on the ground, I actually cried and felt so bad for him. I know he did a lot of people wrong. Still, I think that was a crazy and hard way to go down with that final blow from the hits of Si-eun's brass knuckles to his legs, and face and then Baku finishing it off with those visceral punches at the very end. Hope he didn't get killed by that head boss. My hope is that he faked his death somehow and he decides to switch sides and finally join our boys to fight the rest of the gangs and end it once and for all. But I know that's wishful thinking. Season 3 please happen. I'm begging you. I need to know how the rest of the story goes. I love our main characters and side characters so much. Weak Hero is so special to me and it will always hold a special place in my heart. It's been such a beautiful, fun and epic journey with the geks. I'm so happy they loved it as much as I did. 😭

27:19 Baekjin's face here breaks me every single time. He was worried Baku would fall, but he was also glad Baku smiled at him for the first time in years. Also, someone probs already mentioned it, but in case it wasn't clear in the beginning, Baekjin is an orphan. Cheongang is the gang that The Union was working with, outside of his funeral room there were funeral wreaths sent by Cheongang. But the Boss won't admit he had him killed, that's incriminating himself. The thing is Suho wasn't socially adept either, he was a pretty lonely guy, his only friend was Sieun. But I ALSO THINK they should have gotten more, I think there were some cut scenes.

Plus, i think they and many people wanting them to go all out with affection and excitement are forgetting that it would be unrealistic for the hugging and excitement to happen between suho and sieun. Because sieun was never to the type to be overly boisterous and affectionate. He even took a while just to show affection in his own way by giving food to suho and the girl while they were in the hospital. Suho just came out of a more than yr long coma that came from a traumatic brain injury. Realistically, a patient like suho wouldn’t be automatically like their old selves prior to the coma. Not sure why people were expecting the over the top theatrics with their interaction. I like the realism in their interaction.

Baek-jin & Baku weren't childhood friends in the webtoon. I initially didn't like this change, but I understand it & respect it. Friendship has always been a strong theme in Weak Hero. Friendships forged, friendships fractured, & friendships betrayed. Their storyline makes sense & emphasizes on these themes. Baek-jin yearns for Baku's friendship back, but his pride won't allow him to admit that. Everything Baek-jin has done to Baku was to keep him closer. Very ironic because it's only driving him further away. On the other hand, Baku's righteousness doesn't allow for him to see how Baek-jin is hurting within. Their natures are too different for them to realize that & reconcile. You can see their pain in all of their interactions & in this fight. The shadows of reminiscence, guilt, & regret. Best friend/brother turned enemy always end tragically. 💔

I get what you guys mean about that final fight feeling kinda unfair, my initial reaction was the same. Baek-jin took on both Baku and Si-eun, held his own and beat them down, only to get dropped in what was basically a 2v1. But the more you think about it the more it makes sense. This show’s never been about fairness in fights. It’s not about pride or proving who’s stronger. For someone like Si-eun, fighting has always been about survival and getting bullies to finally back off. That’s why he fights dirty, because he’s never cared about rules. He fights to end things. So maybe they broke the “unwritten rules” of fighting, but it’s true to the story. Baek-jin was perpetuating a cruel cycle of violence and control. And when you’re up against someone like that, fighting fair isn’t the priority, you fight to stop it. That’s why that last punch is fitting in the end, because the only way to fight against unfairness is to beat it in an unfair way.

When Si-eun finally smiled from relief and happiness that his best friend was okay and back in his life once more, it's such a beautiful and heartfelt moment. You can see Si-eun almost at the verge of tears from the long awaited reunion and his heart and mind being healed. After all the endless hoping and wishing that Suho would come back, it finally happened and it was everything he hoped for.

Baku's focus on Baek-jin’s left shoulder/arm was a part of his & Si-eun’s strategy. Si-eun would come in later to target his legs. Baku taught Baek-jin how to fight. He taught him how to focus on upper body techniques. He is now exploiting that. "But this is not why I taught you" It's heartbreaking because he now has to break what he feels guilty for. He feels responsible in creating this "menace."

ONE LAST THING i am not sure if this is confirmed true someone please correct me but i believe the first season literally takes place within 41 days ONLY so yes sieun and suho got really close during that time being friends (enough to cross the line for each other 😭) but maybe that’s why suho felt a little different when he woke up? maybe he didn’t believe sieun would even show up but sieun showing actually shows that those 41 days didn’t matter and that time doesnt dictate a friendship

I love how wholesome the dynamic between Sieun, Baku, Gotak and Juntae is. It was such a breath of fresh air after all the tension and depression of season 1 at the end. I was really living for the brotherhood and how they all stuck to each other no matter the costs and how they trusted and also believed in one another. But Suho will always be special to me because he was Si-eun's first real friend that helped him to open up and embrace things more.

I'd like to recommend Bloodhounds, another action-drama-comedy K-Drama, it's just 1 season and y'all love the chemistry of the two leads. Also, outside of the K-Drama sphere, I really recommend Interview With The Vampire. A lot of people are getting to react to it now, it's a fantastic show, like truly one of the best currently. IWTV has an amazing cast, fantastic scrip, and amazing directing. It's finally being shown the recognition it deserves. It has 2 seasons, and S3 comes out next year.

I also have a personal request as very little people know about these shows/movies. One is called Forgotten, its a movie on Netflix and its top tier in psychology. The other is called The Call, also on Netflix; And the show is called Save Me, its truly a masterpiece and its also a psychological/action/thriller show, like its so bad that the main actress had to get therapy after the show.

One last thing (sorry this comment is kinda long), but what kinds of kdramas are you open to next? Most of the recs you’ve gotten lean darker, which makes sense since you usually watch heavier stuff with intense writing and action. But I think that’s why the ones you’ve seen so far have been kind of emotionally draining lol. Kdramas are actually better known for their wholesome slice-of-life stories and romances. I think people hesitate to recommend those because they’re not sure if it’s something you’d enjoy as a group of guys—especially since they can be a bit cheesy or cliché. But honestly, that’s part of the charm. They play into the cringe on purpose, and if you can lean into that they can be really fun and meaningful. So would you guys ever be down to try something lighter? There’s a whole other side of kdramas you haven’t explored yet. If you’re sticking with serious stuff, I’d recommend My Name, Mouse, Moving, or Death’s Game. But if you’re open to something more emotional or character-driven, I really suggest Twinkling Watermelon and When Life Gives You Tangerines. They both start a little slow, but they’re the highest-rated dramas on IMDb for a reason. A great mix of comedy, heart, and emotion. Anyway, just wanted to throw this out there. There are many incredible dramas, just depends on what you’re open to!

I loved their little friendship group in season 2! The dynamic between Sieun, Baku, Gotak and Juntae was just wholesome to me!! I feel like a lot of people can agree that they were the overall better friend group compared to the one from season 1. Which sucks because I loved Sieun, Suho and Beomseok’s friendship before it all went wrong😭 I can also see where you guys are coming from when you said you think Baku’s the better friend. I feel like when it comes to Sieun you can’t really compare since they both care about him in different ways and would do anything for him. However I think when it comes to everyone else and the rest of the group Baku is definitely a better friend in that aspect! Baku gets along with everyone and cares not just about Sieun! I think that’s why the friendship group was so much better in season 2 because they all cared about each other. I’m sad it’s over! I really looked forward to Tuesdays and Thursdays! For me, Suho's seriousness in the scene didn't feel like a change in character - it felt like depth. He's still kind, but the upbeat and playful side of him took a backseat because the moment deserved gravity. He was facing the reality of what they'd both been through and how it changed them. Idk if you noticed, after the fight, in the basketball court, when Si-eun was sitting and then Baku touched his hair. Before, Si-eun didn't like it because he said to him "don't touch my head, I'm not friend". But then Baku touched his head and Si-eun didn't complain cause they're friends so accepts that gesture. Also, in the debut of S2, after Gyotak defend Si-eun from Hyo-man, Sieun sat in the benchs from the basketball court and Hyoman came and said "what's a nice weather" but you can sense that he was manipulative. But this time when Baku sat with him and said the same thing, he sounded genuine and content. I love how you can see differences between the characters in theses parallels in the serie.

Baek Jin actually died, even in webtoon, webtoon story ends up when baek jin dies and Sieun went to meet suho thats how it ends. In webtoon actually Baek jin wins the fight against Eunjang and dies because of truck. So yes in webtoon and in show Baek jin died. You guys will love webtoon version too as many characters were missing, maybe they can use such characters in season 3. Baek jin in webtoon was even more scary.

BAEK JIN's REASON WHY AND HOW HE BECOME LIKE THAT (Which they didn't show in this season. maybe in season 3) So, Na Baek Jin’s stepfather was extremely abusive both physically and emotionally towards him and his mother. He would beat them unnecessarily, and at one point, his violence was so severe that it left Baek Jin’s mother hospitalized. Despite her love for her son, she was helpless and unable to protect him. Still, Baek Jin loved his mother deeply and often visited her in the hospital. He studied hard because she once told him she wanted to see him wearing a high school uniform something he never forgot, even as a child still in elementary school. He wanted to make his mom proud. While hospitalized, his mother gave Baek Jin a chocolate and a heartfelt letter to encourage him and keep his spirits up. Back at home, things grew even worse. His stepfather would bring other women home and throw Baek Jin out, forcing him to wander the streets in the cold. He would cover himself with cardboard to stay warm and eat leftover garbage when he was hungry. With no one to care for him and his mother still in the hospital, His stepfather also forced him to work under a school support program designed for underprivileged students just so he could steal the scholarship funds for himself. At school, Baek Jin was constantly bullied. The student who ranked second was jealous of him, and the teachers offered no support. Because Baek Jin couldn’t afford a proper jacket uniform, he was made to clean the school floors and take out the trash. One corrupt teacher even made him massage his feet, fed him moldy bread, and falsely accused him of cheating when he ranked first in class. The accusation came because the only top student rank 1 was allowed to move to an advanced class something the second-ranked student’s mother didn’t want or like so She bribed the teacher to block Baek Jin’s opportunity. When a retest was scheduled to settle the cheating claims, Baek Jin was confident and he wanted to make her mom proud. Right before the exam, the teacher coldly informed him that his mother had passed away, but told BAEK JIN he wasn’t allowed to leave until after the test. Distraught and heartbroken, Baek Jin couldn’t concentrate and did poorly. After the exam, he learned that his stepfather had stolen his mother’s insurance money and disappeared. This is how he become orphan. To make things worse, the bullies even threw away the cherished letter from his mother. That was the turning point the beginning of BAEK JIN’s revenge arc. He realized that only those with power and influence could change the system, so he made it his mission to gain control and power over the city. He did gain control and power because of his knowledge and strength.

In the webtoon, Baku and Baek Jin were not friends but BEAK JIN wanted BAKU to join UNION even in webtoon too. However, if a Season 3 of the drama is made, the director might find a way to weave Baek Jin’s heartbreaking backstory into Baku’s storyline. I believe the director will keep Baek Jin’s backstory almost exactly the same as shown in the webtoon his abusive stepfather, his mother’s death, the bullying, and the betrayal that ultimately led him to become an orphan after that director will take a slightly different route after that point. I think they’ll show that why and how Baek Jin ends up in the orphanage exactly same as shown in webtoon then maybe he’s transferred to a new school where he meets BAKU. Baek Jin and BAKU become friends but BAEK JIN didn't tell BAKU about his past. Baku, being strong and principled, teaches Baek Jin how to fight and defend himself. That could be the true beginning of Baek Jin’s revenge arc after he learn to fight. There’s so much rich content for Season 3. Baek Jin’s tragic backstory, his transformation, his bond (and fallout) with Baku, and the clash of ideologies between power and loyalty it has everything a masterpiece season needs. Also Sieun and Suho and Eunjang group together, They have so many content to make. I truly wish and hope they make Weak Hero Season 3. It deserves it. . It’s undeniable that Baek Jin’s backstory is one of the saddest and most powerful narratives which is yet to be shown in Kdrama.

A friend like Baku is truly a blessing for anyone. His temperament, the way he cares, his strength yet never being dominating, and his pure heart all these qualities make Baku amazing. Su-Ho is also a great friend. I was waiting for his return, but Baku and Su Ho have very different natures. The death of Union’s leader made me sad; his boss had said he would kill him, and that’s exactly what he did. I liked Season 2 more because it had beautiful friendship moments that I really enjoyed, along with great fight scenes too. 🙂

Yeah, in Season 1 their trio was good, but it also gave me anxiety—especially when Beom Seok’s father’s behavior was shown and then how Beom Seok changed later. Baku has been thoughtful about others from the very beginning. He even saved his school from the Union, and being so wise at this age is truly admirable. As for Su Ho, it’s normal for him to talk like that after coming out of a coma because not only was he betrayed by a friend, but also after such a long time, it’s impossible for someone to instantly be happy again—it takes time. Even when I was given general anesthesia, I regained consciousness after 3 hours and I was crying continuously, even though I wasn’t in pain. Later, it took me more than a week to fully recover from the side effects of the anesthesia.

I really think the show purposely didn’t give much depth to Na Baek Jin’s background so we wouldn’t feel too much pity for him. Because honestly, we couldn’t even bring ourselves to hate the guy, and he definitely didn’t deserve to die in the end. That was just too much.

I’m still salty they didn’t show enough of Baekjin's backstory. He was an orphan with a severe trauma as a kid. He was abused, bullied, abandoned, and worked off as a child because he needed money, so I think that made him an easy target by horrible people like the gang. It wasn't easy to escape the mess he was in especially when the people involved literally kill whoever they want. You can’t expect a traumatized kid with no support system to make rational choices so I do understand him deep to my core. This goes the same for Beomseok.

Also, I’m glad y’all noticed how Baekjin stopped when Baku was already on the ground. That actually shows he never intended to finish him off. Bae Nara (Baekjin’s actor) said Baekjin believed the only way he could possess Baku was by making him join the union. He wanted someone by his side and the only person he could think of was Baku because he was the only one he saw as a friend, the one who protected him and made him feel happy which he never experienced in his entire life.

I love how Jack said Baekjin's hair pushed down is like his good side and his hair pulled back is his dark side. He's always so perceptive and observant. I'm always impressed by his attention to detail. Because this is pretty much accurate to how it is in a lot of K-dramas. The male lead has that pulled back sharp gel look at the beginning to show dominance, control, power, and assertiveness. While the non-styled casual bowl cut, it represents the softer, sweet, more humane, and lovable side of the character. It's their true personality coming out, one that they're trying to conceal and are afraid and reluctant to show to others.

I think Suho and Sieun have really good friendship chemistry, whereas guys this season have good group chemistry. 4 of them go really good together. Now that we’ve finally reached the end, I’ll say I still prefer the first season, maybe because everything felt more realistic, even the fights and the struggles. And about Baku seeming like a better friend, I think I disagree.... I think the show didn’t give Suho the same chance to show that side, the way season 2 did with Baku. The dynamic was different, in the last episodes it was Si-eun who was protecting Suho and hiding what David was doing.

Baku: To me was everything I hoped Su-ho could live up to, guy really brought joy to the season and was a cornerstone for being the friend trying everything to be there for everyone. 3. Jun-tae: Got so much heart and character arc kept making me love him more. 4. Su-ho: Original badass and helped soften Si-uen up, feel like as a friend he lacked what S2 characters brought. 5. Lots of recs for The Glory. It's a good one. You can't go wrong with it, but it does have quite a dark vibe. If you want a drama that examines similar themes but really highlights the strengths of traditional K drama with a more uplifting/motivational arc, ITAEWON CLASS would be a great choice. Also, i definitely think of it as one that would appeal to a group of guys (i.e. not heavy on the romance side).

Youre gonna love every single character 10 times more. And after reading it, you will still not know what to expect from season 3. A lot of people expected a more happy reunion between suho and sieun but i feel like this is so them and so realistic. Yes the show has unrealistic fight scenes and skills but the emotions have always been real. For suho, it's still the day after Beomseok beat him. While everyone else's lives moved on, his stayed behind. And i feel like the "how's it going" after waking up from a coma is so suho. him acting chill is just his character and how I'd expect him to be. (Tho in my heart I'd die for a hug)

I can’t deny the strong connection between Si eun and Suho. even I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to connect with the new group of friends. But season two completely surprised me!! I’ve become absolutely obsessed with their dynamic! If you ask me which season is better, my answer is easily season two. In terms of rewatchability, I always find myself going back to the first four episodes of season one—especially when watching reaction videos—but I just can’t bring myself to continue the rest. As for season two, this is already my fifth time watching it! And I agree, baku is somehow a better friend than Suho! But someone said in the comments that (baku is the better friend, suho is a better friend for si eun) totally adree but that doesn’t mean his bond with the four are less beautiful and wholesome 😊 Dude I love baku I never thought I could love another character more than the original cast!! My worries about season three are that the writers will focus too much on Suho and Si-eun’s friendship—since fans are so attached to them (for good reason)—and unfortunately, we might not get much of the other three. And I reeeeally love their relationship and the dynamic between all of them!

The main headline for this drama is “only evil can take out evil”! Twinkling watermelon is a little fictional (involves time travel) but it is soooo good! It has Baku and suho actors and it’s more lighthearted than this and more emotional! The story is amazing and the actors as well so both these kdramas are amazing!

i’m super late but just wanted to leave my 2 cents here about “the reunion” and friendship dynamics. imo Sieun and Suho acted the way they always acted in s1. these two have a “weird” way of communication. like in s1 the one of core sources of all problems was the miscommunication and lack of ability to proper express yourself. Sieun, Suho & Beomseok are the prime example. Sieun and Suho showed they cared about each other by actions. Sieun by protecting, being attentive and listening, cooking & bringing food (which is super cute) and Suho by protecting (above all obviously) and exposing Sieun to benefits of having friends. they almost never talked deeply in the show, it’s just not their strong side (i could also go deep into psychological intricacies of their characters, how their childhood and families influenced them etc. but i digress). so for Suho, after being in coma for nearly 2 years, saying “how have you been?” (which is a direct reference to their convo in s1) is basically acting as he always has, same with asking about Baku, Gotak & Juntae, and being happy that Sieun has friends now. it’s subtle but it’s very “Suho”. and about Sieun, my boy has too much physiological trauma, Suho being the epicenter of it, he was literally “too stunned to speak” haha. about Baku vs Suho as who is better friend for Sieun: in s1 we see Suho being a loner. he was always alone before he befriended Sieun and Beomseok, he was just cool chill strong kid in that school who minded his own business. Sieun ultimately changed that and Suho was caring about him as his friend, the only way he knew how, by exposing him to what human relationships can be. but ultimately only Sieun held this space in Suho’s heart, i would argue that Beomseok was never that interesting to Suho, he was just trying to include him bc he though Beomseok needed it and also tried protecting him until he new there was no use (Sieun was the one chasing Beomseok until it fell apart, not Suho). on the other hand Baku is totally different. he is everyone’s friend, everyone in school like him, he expresses himself easily, his dynamics are “healthy”, what is deemed “normal” in society. he is easy-going, he listens and he connects with people. both Suho and Baku “forced” themselves to become friends with Sieun just in very different ways and i think it is natural for us viewers to consider Baku’s actions towards Sieun as more appropriate ones, more “civil”, it is just totally different kind of friendship. so all of this rant is to say that you just can’t compare Suho and Baku regarding who is better friend. they are just different. Suho cared only for Sieun but Baku cared for everyone. i am also very curious to see their dynamic in s3, i feel like it will be interesting to see how they navigate their differences and also i want to see what kind of person Suho is now, as he woke up. there are so many cool possibilities of what we can have in s3, it is so cruel we have to wait….

i can't believe it's over!!!!! i'll never forget seeing that first weak hero reaction notification, this entire experience is more than i could have ever asked for. SUHO'S BACKKKKKK!!!!!! the actors who play suho and si-eun discussed what they would say to each other if suho woke up, way back when they were doing press for season 1 and the way it happened in the show is EXACTLY how they described it. they wanted it to be this way and when you think about it, it makes so much sense. their dynamic has always been one where they understood each other without having to communicate (it's why their brotherhood is so strong and why my heart hurts just thinking about it). as much as we would have all loved more, their reunion fits them perfectly.

At first, I also felt like I expected more from Suho and Si-eun’s reunion, but after taking time to process it, I realized — if Si-eun had thrown himself at Suho with hugs, cried, or said too much, it would’ve felt out of character for him. And Suho has always been the nonchalant and chill guy. Suho wearing Si-eun’s hoodie in the hospital scene killed me in the best way 😭😭😭😭 I was so happy to see Suho awake!

I totally disagree with Carter about Baku being a better friend for Si-eun than Suho or having "more in him." Suho literally almost died because of what someone else did to Si-eun. They’re soulmates — in a deep, platonic way. And I also don’t believe that if we swapped Suho and Baku, the outcome would be the same. Suho would’ve immediately knocked the crap out of Baek-jin and and wouldn’t wait until he interfered in his life and threatened his family and friends.

Wait rare miss from the geks imo, why would you expect either suho or sieun to be more excited/cheerful on their reunion? We can also see in season 1 when sieun got beat up, suho learned the truth and rushed to sieun's home but when they met its just awkward small talks. They always have this unusual communication and dynamic between them since s1 (prob cause of sieun), and as you can see sieun didn't change much throughout season 2. So its really weird for the geks to not put them in their shoes and just force what they think its normal in the society to them

all the happiness i felt with suho waking up completely got overshadowed by how heartbroken i am about baekjin. 😭 he was so troubled throughout this entire season. the way he constantly went after baku in the absolute wrong way but in reality he really just wanted his friend. ): and there was obviously regret and you could see it during the fight. he was just a kid ): he did not deserve that at all.

I have never felt so happy to see suho back. Season 3 needs to happen with suho joining the boys. Honestly I like season 1 way more just because i love the dynamic of sieun and suho, hopefully we get plenty of screen times with them. I live for those 😫 Season 1 just had raw emotions that made me feel all types of roller-coaster of emotions because I was so attached, while in season 2 there was a a lot of over exaggerating personality (kinda anime-like) with baku and i wished the writers had toned it down and made him more chill but still extroverted, quiry, fun, and damn cool like suho, which is why I like suho's character more cause he never overdid it. Like Jack pointed out about some unrealistic stuff like that dunk baku did which is not real cuz he jumped on a trampoline, or punching that motorcycle guy and the guy flew, wish they made it more realistic since the fighting in this show is supposed to be realistic

Season 1 was so grounded and it felt so real. When bad things happened, it hit so hard and the drama between friends hurt so bad. Season 2 was almost a completely different show, it felt like an anime to me, with larger than life characters that were almost caricatures. It felt so much more like a TV show. I still really enjoyed watching S2 but it doesn't even come close to touching S1. Also, Su-ho is literally the goat, comparing him to Baku felt like an insult. Su-ho's fighting style is unmatched imo and he still has the most aura of anyone in the show.

I've only just watched this, but season 2 was much lower for me than season 1. I felt like I was less convinced about the closeness of the boys because they had less small interactions than season 1. We never get an explanation for why baek jin and Baku fell out. I would've liked to better understand why baekjin was siphoning money for donations. Some things felt random, like juntaes call to seiun about the boys knowing he visited the hospital ... It just felt like it started out promising but in the interest of moving the story along they did a lot of telling instead of showing in the second half.

I can't believe you guys felt bad for Baek-jin because Si-eun and Baku "fought dirty". Need i remind you that Baek-jin is the same guy who harrased Baku's dad, steal people's phone and bikes, and sent a bunch of people to fight Gotak and Jun-tae at the motorcycle place. Also, Baek-jin was the one who challenged someone else if they don't agree with Eunjang joining the Union, that's when Si-eun stepped in. So feeling bad for him is CRAZYYYYYY 😭 wtf
