OoO Cannon, nice outfit, nice you, my eyes appreciated it, respectfully ofc.

Bellaa

Day 63 asking for dub

Alex Ramirez

This is probably the lowest of the war arc, not Shippuden. I can't wait for the rest of it.

1999

EARLY DROP WHAT A GLORIOUS DAY

jemmy

Lmaooo

jemmy

Early drop shipudden

Alex Ramirez

17:47 timiD RABbit, DRAB. Im guessing in Japanese it's different and has to do either with the syllables he uses in between two words or the meaning in the kanji.

LuvStarburst

I lost some respect on cannon for wanting finger chopsticks for chips

Earthshatter

what makes this couple episodes not as enjoyable to me is that its a lot of battles going on at the same time that dont really amount to much in the end and it makes it feel convoluted they also drag out longer than it should imo, but im glad u dont find them to be chore cannon

Matthew Valentine

kishi has a very sine wave up and down way of writing the exciting parts of this show and after pain arc, which is the high point of the entire series so far culminating from its very beginning, he needed more time to write other world building events that would crest to similar highs later on. Feel like as this was airing live people just wanted the pain arc again and were kind of impatient, esp weekly.

zak

Trust me guys 300 onwards is heavenly

Alex Ramirez

21:07 Kinkaku and Ginkaku didn't 2v1 Tobirama tbh. In the Danzo flashback, Tobirama said they were being trailed by the Kinkaku Force, which consisted of like a dozen ninja. They are still scary on their own with the treasures and Kyubi cloak (Kyubi is the Japanese word for nine tails).

Earthshatter

yall is it me or the 9 tails being free into the world during the reign of the second hokage a fat ass plot hole?

LuvStarburst

Timid rabbit the d and rab spell drab

jemmy

Im intrigued that the Geks liked these batch of eps. Mckay is right, I think these are slow to us in hindsight

jemmy

I was thinking the same

Earthshatter

i guess the 9 tails eat them before the 1st hokage and madara got a hold of the 9 tails

Alex Ramirez

It's not really a plothole, the first jinchuriki of the 9 tails was Hashirama's wife, we learned that from Kushina's talk with Naruto. So the 9 tails was roaming free before that. The Cloud trying to subdue the 9 tails before that should line up well.

Alex Ramirez

More Naruto Reactions for sure

Earthshatter

yeah idk why i just assumed they werent around for that time but they are old af

jemmy

If it's before then it makes sense. Idk why I assumed it was during Tobirama's reign

Vinny Deluca

They were slow to me in the moment too I hated the beginning or the War, and the like year of filler they stuck right in the center before the climax lol

Nue

I think watching these episodes for the first time was fine, but rewatching its just something you want to get over with to get to the good stuff coming up

Earthshatter

the filler was devious, i litterally waited for naruto ship to end to start watching so i wouldnt have to watch filler

Alex Ramirez

The ending discussion was such a blast from the past. I remember how it was back then. If you missed episodes, you had to hope they would rerun the episode you missed at a time you weren't busy or record it if your cable box had the function or using a VCR. Manga and anime didn't become mainstream until the early 2010s in the states. Finding physical manga was a bit less common than today and there was a time when you would search up anime on YouTube and find episodes cut in 4 parts at 240p or 360p lol.

Merry

Jack After every five minutes come on tenten do something within your 10 seconds of screen time🤣

Dakota

The issue that people have with this stretch of the show purely comes from the fact that they know what comes later. That's it. Watching this for the first time, I had zero problem with this part of the show. So you guys shouldn't read too much into that. We just know what comes later, and we're super excited for that and for you guys to see it. Damn Cannon lmao Shizune catching strays. "All she does is hold that dang pig" Also Sakura is with Kakashi, in the fight against the Mist swordsmen.

Shon

“Sweet little piggy” 😭😭😭

Synapse Surge

It wasn't just Ginkaku and Kinkaku who beat the 2nd, but also an entire squad of (I believe 18?) Cloud Jonin. Also from what I'm aware, he beat the two brothers before he died, and it was the other Jonin who finished him off (ayo, pause).

Shon

Please tell me we get a binge soon to get through the slower less hype parts of the war arc

McKay Carter

It was actually 21 lower Akatsuki level from what I read which is insane

McKay Carter

4 more batches until that episode 👀

Prezidents

praying we get through this arc fast

Alien9

Man these were a tough rewatch ngl, especially in hindsight. Definitely could see the hype back then for them, but I don’t think they age as well as other parts. Especially on a rewatch..

Earthshatter

Can we get a Brig retrieval arc for EP 322

Osvaldo

These fights were fucking awful.

Alex Ramirez

If you were watching Shippuden as it was airing... these episodes were still not satisfying. Naruto got KCM (Kyubi Chakra Mode) and we had to wait a whole year to see him use it again. I'm not saying it's bad but it's the weakest section of the war arc and a dredge on a rewatch.

jemmy

We can fix that McKay...what if we make it 1 batch? 👀

enzo

we need a binge or naruto week starting from ep 296 please

Mitch

It’s crazy because I’ve seen this exact comment on like 10 different of their Naruto reactions lol

🪐

This part of the arc was so frustrating especially after the pain arc because I expected a lot of excitement with the beginning of the war but it was boring and felt weird but after a few episodes you will be amazed of the peakness of the show.

E

i think any naruto fan can say this part of the war is so ass

Jude

i believe its monday wednesday and saturday for MHA drops

Volt

This section isn't anywhere close to ass but the rest of the war is so much better that people treat this part like it's slop. That and a lot of people don't really care about side characters and world building

kyle

gotta replace the cherry slush alani with the much better cosmic stardust alani

Golladan

Darui was getting sucked in because two different words combined to make darui. ore wa bosu no migiude DA. RUIjihin janē!

Lemonsqueeze

Im guessing you binged this this part of the show, cause when it was actually airing, watching 1 episode every week was the definition of blue balls. Even watching 5 of them now with Geks felt unsatisfying.

Dakota

Yeah I didn’t get into anime until 2018. I watched DBZ as a kid and watched it a few times over the years but that was it until then. Now I watch all kinds of stuff, but yeah I binged so I don’t have the same experience with it as some. I can definitely see why people would feel that way watching it weekly airing

Nashi

The geks minus Carter

Fernando

didn’t know cannon had glasses i’m assuming he wears contacts too?

kyle

this batch was actually not bad at all

MCor

I actually enjoy these batch of episodes because it brings new characters from other villages and builds history.

lian

love the glasses cannon

hawa

its so funny bc all their most said words are their names lmao

The RZA

in the subs it was "timiD RABbit" as well

Enma

I think the geks most used word is "random"

ApacheSlays

they only beat the second hokage because there was 20 of them it was a 20v1

Mr. Rich V

Choji is a pacefist in a world filled with ninja wars, gg

Gyt

Facts it ain’t bad at all and I freaking love Darui

Liptrouski

Naruto got a glimpse of the war when he sensed 9 tails chakra, the next few batches are going to be interesting

Lil Zoro Vert

Real ones watched anime in the corner of a YouTube video

Alex Ramirez

Ehh, the corner YouTube videos happened after YouTube videos were able to be longer than 8 minutes. That's why the episodes were split in 3-4 parts. Plus YouTube got a bit more serious on copyright stuff (it was still pretty loose).

JAN NARUTO

1:28:20 Digital piracy peaked in the 2000s. It really depends on the region though. Besides watching anime on TV or waiting for licensed DVDs, there were fansub and fandub groups who translated newly released episodes and distributed them through torrents and pirated DVDs. Rewatching episodes wasn’t a problem hehe

llB0JANGLESll

Yeah waiting week to week is partially what ruined this war arc for me. The amount of filler too they would sprinkle in was diabolical. I read the manga during this time and the manga did a great job at making the war seem peak but then when it came to the anime it was tough sometimes to keep up. But like others said bit torrent was the way back then.

Yo Dani

wondering if they clocked that Drab is Darui and his name is Darui, just like Atsui = hot and that guy's name being Atsui xd

Yo Dani

nevermind haha Jack just did as soon as i wrote this

Mr. Rich V

Glad they like what is shown so far but peak is on the way

Yo Dani

Even through all the yapping, Mifune vs Hanzo was a nice episode. Hanzo was berating Mifune on the samurai's way of life and doing seppuku just to end up doing it himself at the end. It's just beautiful story telling

Yo Dani

i just rewatched it like 2 times while it was ongoing haha and every time i would catch up, id just take a break from it and watch something else. Then by the end i rewatched everything again and finished it

Yo Dani

Are you guys going to watch the Movies and OVAs as well? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xq0LQekE__Q Like this OVA for example, it happens right before naruto trains with Bee. Its Naruto vs Konohamaru chunin exam I'll post this every week until i get a response xD

jrnoodles

Thanks Geks! Carter with the piggy comment 😭

Ayoodude

Y’all gotta watch Gachiakuta 🔥🔥🔥 it’s awesome

Alex

You guys may have realized later in the post but just here to say timiDRABbit.

Gyt

26:18 Madara tamed the 9 tails when he fought the 1st hokage too he explained it when he told the truth about Itachi , 16 yrs ago most people don’t even knowww that Madara was behind the incident

jayjee

Very cool reaction but i've always been bothered by a specific plot hole. If Shikamaru is so smart then why doesnt he make Ufotable animate all his scenes? also my sister thinks that Jack looks cute when he eats Wheat Thins so can you please bring them back for her sake in future videos (she is youtube only)

JaJa

Hey I’m 30 y.o 👋🏾 and I had a setting to record all my fav shows on DVR 😂 sometimes I’ll let the episodes pile up then binge watch it later. Then I’ll delete them after so I’ll always have space

Grady

Not bad at all just slow. They should binge to episode 290 or around there

Gyt

1:08:58 Y’all already know who the king is bruh at the end of Shikamaru revenge arc 😭

Grady

What show are we waiting on to start a new anime. Need a jojo or black cover watch

kyle

heavy agree

Nicolai

Was thinking the same thing they definitely should

Chrissy

I personally miss this kind of thing. Where it’s not just the same handful of characters fighting the same handful of enemies. Different match ups are fun to watch imo! At this point we all know Naruto doesn’t have the best pacing lmao. If someone is still watching in their free time, and not enjoying it, it’s kind of on them. After so much you know that you’re gonna have to slog through some episodes and pacing lol. As far as if this portion is THAT bad, I think it’s just some iconic and hype moments that come up are soooo close yet so far. People just really wanna see yall react to them. On my first watch I wasn’t like mesmerized by any means by these fights 😅 but I did enjoy them. But I was able to like binge for a few days and then take like weeks in between if I wanted. So that’s a factor as well! But I find the Naruto world so interesting and I think all the different powers are cool, so when I got a new fight I was excited too see it!

JAN NARUTO

I NEED MY GLORIOUS NARUTO WHERE IS IT🍥🍥🍥

Nick K

Back in the day One Piece was posted free on Funimation each week. Back in the dark ages of anime though you were watching anime fansubs uploaded to youtube into 5 separate parts that were like 4 minutes each before they could get taken down.

Guy

As someone who caught up to the show at the point the war was coming out I can promise it was just as insufferable as you guys made it sound waiting for new developments in the plot

Chérie

@1:19:55 I was seriously not prepared for that that I actually spit out my drink on my laptop RAHHH😭😭
