Wow I've haven't seen this in so long. I've forgotten how sweet the revenge is. Dong-eun is such a baddie, love it. She's cunning, calculating, and clever. The bully gang don't know what's coming for them. And I feel kind of bad for Hye-Jeong and Myeong-o even though, they're despicable just like Sa-ra and Yeon-jin, yuck. The actors are so good at their roles at playing scum. I applaud them. And Jae-joon is just as bad as Yeon-jin. They are two peas in a pod.... both picking on the weak to make themselves feel better and superior. They have a power complex.

I love the doctor's character, Yeo-jeong. It's like a breath of fresh of air when he pops up on the screen. He's so lovable and caring. Dong-eun deserves that affection and attention. I'm glad he's there for her. Lee Do-hyun is another one of my favorite actors. He plays all his roles so freaking well!!

Aww I don't feel so bad now :-( Because, the way Carter flinched/squirmed when Jae-joon was putting in his contacts, I get the exact same way. I flinch so bad with eye scenes in shows and movies in general. Also if anything has to be directly transferred to my eyes, It freaks me out. For instance with drops, I have to close my eyes and then let the liquid gradually slide in... haha It's just always been a psychological thing. Sorry for rambling. I feel like I always do with comments when I'm not intending to.

I know they will. But they keep already confusing themselves with this show because they keep talking over the dialogue. Every bit of dialogue counts with shows like this. Because there are very tiny details that plays a huge role in other situations that is mainly expressed in the dialogue and monologues. There is also nuances and certain emotions that are expressed during the dialogue that would have the viewer to think more deeply about things that are not flat out blatant that wouldn’t really give the answers full on to their questions. Kinda like in indie films when the characters have dialogue about something but their expressions and certain aura about what is being expressed in contrast to the dialogue. They miss out on alot of that when they speak alot during and over the dialogue.

I think Dong Eun's take on religion is pretty nuanced and interesting. Instead of always having the option to dedicate your life to good and get in to heaven, it sounds like she believes everyone ends up in some hell eventually. The people like bullies who do the evil things to everyone and people like her herself who end up being broken enough to make their adult lives dedicated to causing suffering in retribution. And then of course those complicit who sat by and did nothing like her teacher, mom, etc.

Yes there can be a few just like how there is some type of corrupt person or system anywhere in the world but it’s not all like how dramas depict them to be which is dramatized for the sake of being a TV drama.

There are a lot of cinematic scenes in this show, it's very pleasing to the eye, I really appreciate the effort they put in that. My favorite so far was the 4 seasons switch when they were playing the game. Although the story is cruel, the scenery shots are soooo pretty!! Love it

Hello, sorry for the late reply. No, I haven’t been to schools in Korea. But the reason for my comment is because I got the idea from the dramas — most of the school dramas deal with bullying, and many of them are inspired by true stories. I’ve watched many cases about bullying in Korea, and I’ve also read about many people who shared their personal experiences. Yes, bullying doesn’t necessarily happen in the extreme way that Korean dramas often show, but bullying is bullying — and it exists everywhere. However, that doesn’t mean it happens in every school in Korea. Because bullying is a serious and big issue in many dramas, and since people are now taking this topic more seriously, I believe it has decreased a lot compared to before. That’s why representation in media is very important. The same goes for teachers. Not every teacher is ignorant or turns a blind eye to bullying. I was specifically talking about those cases where the bullying is obvious, yet no teacher or authority steps in to stop it. The two main reasons for that are the ones I mentioned in my comment. In short, bullying is no longer like it was in the past; it has decreased, or at least it has become less physically violent. But that doesn’t mean it has disappeared completely

Oh yes for sure bullying is a problem and it's written into kdramas to shine light on the issue, but my comment was actually a response to your initial comment about how teachers don’t stop or overlook bullying. That’s the part that I was trying to clarify is overdramatized in dramas bc they started writing this in as almost a trope after seeing some occasional news articles about a neglectful teacher or school. (Bullies usually coming from rich/powerful families also a kdrama trope) I just thought your initial comment made it sound like generally all teachers and schools are like this just from watching kdramas. Anyway thanks for your second comment which was more clarifying and I hope I don’t come off as rude. It’s a sensitive issue in our country and seeing foreigners comment about it with only kdrama knowledge and hearing a few testimonies about it.. it’s just not all as it seems. Not saying the system is great now- like you said, it's gotten much better than before when corporal punishment in schools were real and more improvement is still needed.
