JevCor

Oh?????? Lets gooooo If you're thinking 8-10 I'd say maybe like 6x3 to 6x11 or 6x13 would be a real nice stretch.

Espy

oh wtf unexpected but hell yeah

cozo

W

cozo

it's wednesday wdym 😭

Mitch

Sooo hyped for the todoroki story 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Kenny Rivera

hell yea before i have to go to work

DietCocaine

is moreconsole the destiny youtube goat or is it datto

Yoshified

so hype for the end of the seasonnnn

Valde

10 EPISODE BINGE??????

Lexzc

Dont forget the third movie, the filler episode (16) introduced the villain and the plot point of the movie

Mags

Binge the back half of S6 absolutely worth it

charlie

these dudes be posting at like 2 am to be fair sometimes lol

Noah Brown

Agree to this, have to watch this arc in one sitting really.

vayadore

I still can’t believe cannon doesn’t like Deku’s costume I love it 💔

Jimmy

This is definitely a binge grind but the newest season would be the best for sure. Id recommend S7 E8 through the end of the season but that may be a bit much. Maybe 3-4 episode drops for that entire timeframe instead?

Too Shady

Bro the DPJ reference is crazy

cara

need mha skin fortnite streams stat

Ana

Do the binge for season 6 that would be a good binge of episodes

Cat

Season 6 would be a great one to binge episodes 5-12

Cat

Binge any part and I'll love it tbh 😂 Seasons 6 & 7 are amazing

Mitch

15:14 top ten anime betrayals 😭

Jenny D

I was confused why they skipped it. It seemed like part of the story to me.

T

Lol dpj is a throwback destiny youtuber 😂

86 LilaS

First part of season 6 was the easiest and most intense binge of my life. All you’re gonna think is “hurry up and put the next one on!”

Pavlo

Fire shirt carter🔥

T

Also honestly just binge the rest of this season

Ayoodude

🙉🙉🙉👏

Belly

kinda hot take but endeavor is a way better teacher than all might

Espy

jack casually forgetting they said all might went to UA all the way back in season 1 lmao

J.J. _

I dont think thats a hot take

kai

thats not a hot take at all bestie endeavor knows exactly what the kids need to push themselves further

Greg K

Jack you do realize that the entire reason Deku wanted to go to UA was because it was All Might's Alma Mater lol

Chosos Wife

The first like 17 episodes of season 6 are just absolutely insane. Not even a little nice filler episode to ease us in with some nice school life or anything just immediate depression

Chosos Wife

The first like 15ish episodes of season 6 are wild and I sat and watched all of season 6 in one sitting because of it, despite only planning to watch a few 💀

Tyler Owens

All Might did go to UA! That’s why Bakugo and Deku wanted to go so badly, it’s All Might’s Alma Mater

cade-carter

I couldnt imagine being a petty criminal in this world and just getting nuked by Endeavor

86 LilaS

It’s the genius vs hard worker concept like in Haikyu. The genius’ don’t know how to teach properly because they can do everything naturally, but don’t know how to explain it in words while hard workers had to break it down more technically and rinse and repeat until they get it right. Since hard workers experienced the process themselves they can teach it more easily to others

Mdmarki

Canon u haven't seen as much peak as it is in season 6, 7 and what it left to 8, u are not ready

Pavlo

Cannon is think we saw him “fly” in szn 1

bondbond53

Endeavour in that black turtleneck can kind of... get it. Can you tell I have daddy issues? But also fuck Endeavour and I think anyone is valid in disliking him no matter how good of a character he is, and he is an amazing character

kai

ahhhh we love the hellish todoroki family

Vernus

I forgot episode 16 was filler. Wish we could’ve gotten more during the second half of the season instead of that episode

JevCor

I enjoy how it grows with his character, like the more he develops the more the costume is developing.

Mitch

If I had to recommend I’d say yall should binge some part of the first half of season 6. Anywhere from ep 2-15. Every ep of season 7 is so good that I think it’s actually better off to have normal drops for those so yall can go more in depth to discuss each ep.

JevCor

It's just setup for the movie, at this point I'd rather they just skip the movies and get to the story asap, the movies are fine but it just feels like a waste of a day to do a movie reaction.

kai

omg i forgot how awkward this family dinner was i think we’re all bakugo and deku just eating and minding our business 😭

JevCor

Also controversial opinion maybe but I'd be A okay if they just skip the movies and focus on the story 100% they are fun but they really do just take away a day of reaction where they could focus on the important stuff.

NINJA SWORD

Best Binge is S6 episode 3 - 13 Those 10 episodes are the best that season 6 has to offer. And it also fits perfectly for a binge watch due to reasons.

Limini

omg have you seen vigilante bc thats what i was thinking

JevCor

I agree completely, I feel like these are the best ones to choose, they just flow immediately into each other.

Rayanh Shequinah Nansha

lol he’s hated it from the beginning. He was a lot more vocal about it before.

Limini

Keeping up with the todorokis is my fav part of the show

JevCor

Completely valid take, Endeavor had to grind every minute and every inch to get where he is.

JevCor

I'm guilty of thinking it was Thursdays since I'm on the atlantic coast lmao, usually goes up around 1 or 2 am my time so I was like hell yeah early drop.

Zoë

yesss keep watching , drop more hahahahah

Espy

yeah i might be a lil stupid i completely forgot it was an mha day

JevCor

It really is great, it's like a 1A and 1B type of situation with the plot, to have an overarching super hero story include an incredible family drama is just so good, it definitely feels closer to what you'd see in western comics than manga.

Kasumii_

I'm getting so like antsy just waiting for you's to learn everything cause we're starting to get into the real juicy stuff and the moments when the characters' stories start to unfold and piece together finally making sense is just so peak. I really love the writing of the Todoroki family like all 3 of the kids are going through the same phase they're just at different parts of it, Fuyumi is ready to forgive, Shoto is getting ready to forgive and Natsuo just isn't ready nor does he want to be, and then you have Endeavour, the reason for their hate and grief who would give anything just to be the father he should've been but as someone who has always been distant he simply doesn't know how so he's like stuck in limbo just hoping for a change. The Todoroki family might just be the best written part of the whole show tbh.

Rayanh Shequinah Nansha

Yeah, the Todoroki family’s dynamic is my favorite storyline in the anime. And like Cannon, I shake my head at Endeavor when we see flashback scenes, yet he’s still one of my favorite characters in this. Very well written indeed. And Bakugou remains my favorite character. Carter saying he’s just himself 110% of the time was very accurate 😅

Jack

Ok, ok, my bad. I thought he didn’t because he was quirkless, but I also don’t remember at what age he got his quirk

Jack

Yeah yeah yeah, I saw it later in the episode and I was oh duh

raregekota

Ohhhhhhhhhh man season 6 is about to be something else lmao

Cannon Andrus

Yeah just not the biggest fan of

Jack

OK, I remember that All Might went to UA! what I really didn’t remember is if they said is what age he got One For All

Rohan Gladson

Hey guys, I don't typically comment here, but first things first, love the reactions to MHA! Second, if I had to suggest a binge-watchable set of episodes, I would suggest either the first 8 episodes of season 6 (episodes 1-8) or the last 8 episodes of season 7 (episodes 13-21). For me I believe these sets of episodes are the most exciting and thrilling set of episodes of the series, as they honestly have the perfect mix of everything that makes MHA great, imo.

zaphyre

If you can do around 8-10 episodes then I strongly suggest doing a binge from 6x6 to 6x14 to experience the best parts of the arc in one sitting. I think 6x5 is the perfect episode to end on right before a massive binge :) Luckily season 6 and 7 are very easy to binge, so at least it won’t be too draining for you guys I hope!

M1GZ

I'd say from THIS point on things go from good to GREAT from 5x18 until the end of s7 MHA doesn't stop peaking (its a shame the next arc was rushed because of the movie buts its still great regardless)

M1GZ

Both All Might and Endeavor graduated from UA its been stated a few times and All might wasn't much older than Midoriya when he got OFA he was just really jacked and the power was less cultivated back then.

86 LilaS

Still hits me right in the feels when Deku tells Shoto he’s kind. Coming from Deku it probably meant a lot. Shoto’s not even upset about what was done to him, but to his mom. These kids are more mature than most adults

JevCor

I'm not sure its ever stated anywhere exactly how old he was but people think between 14-16 he would've gotten OFA and then Nana died when he was around 18.

Alex Ramirez

17:56 You shouldn't feel bad for them, they are Endeavor's sidekick. They get to support him when he needs the help but they're usually helping him by cleaning up his work while he patrols. It's pretty much the job of the #1 hero's sidekick :))

M1GZ

All might graduated from UA using OFA, his costume we see when we get flashbacks from his master is probably the costume he used in school as well.

JevCor

People estimate between 14-16 is where he got it, and then Nana died around when he was 18.

Jimmy

Best episode in Season 5 has yet to come. So hyped for the coming weeks

M1GZ

If you guys are going to binge 10 episodes id definitely say the first 10 eps of season 6 or maybe something like 6x3-6x13. The first half of season 6 is SUPER bingeable.

M1GZ

yah two filler eps in a season with a rushed arc hurts

Limini

id nominate the last 8 ep of season 7

Alex Ramirez

It's harder for Bakugo to use his quirk because his quirk depends on his ability to sweat. Todoroki and Endeavor dont rely on that factor so the difference in the winter for them is so miniscule.

Poragami

I don't think Jack sat still or didn't talk for a single minute lmao

drewYRG

so excited for the binge!

M1GZ

I'd say we are now officially past the "mud" of MHA and I'm glad the boys are still loving it.

Harry Oswald Chisholm

You should low key binge the first half of season 6 just to get it over with. Second half is incredible

Dub_quinn

The Todoroki family is so well written, everyone is their own person and has their own feelings. Be prepared to lock in to fully grasp how each person feels

Alex Ramirez

The amount of hate Cannon has for Koda is the same amount of hate I have for Natsuo. Fuyumi is mature about the situation.

Sari-chan

Carter looking like a Lawson worker lol

NINJA SWORD

Nah you're just coming from a clueless place that's why. Not everyone is hurt equally. You want Natsuo to forgive as easy as that? People don't forgive others for lesser things. Imagine thinking you'll forgive the person that hurt your mother, brother and siblings so much that your mother had to go away for your entire childhood.

Nanami's Wife

Idk if you guys noticed but the dude that Hawks was talking to about him spreading the liberation book in the beginning is also Sanji's VA

Alex Ramirez

A clueless place? Lmao, I had a similar situation with my dad for my childhood. My relationship with my dad isnt 100% healed but I'm not taking it like Natsuo when I can 100% confidently say he had it easy.

Tyler

Besides Bakugo, the Todoroki family's storyline is the best written and my favorite in the story it feels so grounded and real in this bigger world Horikoshi created. As for binging I would say the second half of season 6

Dub_quinn

Season 6 and 7 flow a lot so it’s difficult to break up. If I had to pick, I’d say you could do 10 episodes in S6 E5-14 or S6 E16-25. If wanting 8 episodes then I’d think S7 E6-13. I don’t feel like any binge would be “wrong” in season 6 or 7 tho, it’s all interesting and a lot of things connect. Good luck on picking a set, but y’all don’t have to watch the recap episodes (the 4 “memories” episodes that are between S7 and S6, those are just recap so I don’t really think of them as real S7 episodes)

Hayden Ton

I'd say binge the first arc of season 6.

Ayo

bro that's a fact, like the ppl above said Endeavor had to work and figure out how to get to the top, pushing both himself and his quirk to their respective limits. All that experience make him an awesome teacher and probably the best place for the boys to go to take that next step.

Nrock23

Damn I was looking forward to their reaction of my favorite my hero episode 5x16

Hayden Ton

or binge the end of season 7

Limini

It's so crazy too think that rei has been in that hospital for roughly a decade. The family endured endeavors ways for over a decade almost two and suddenly in less than a year he's been trying to change which was almost nothing. He himself hasnt put much effort into puttin the family together yet. Fuyumi is really carrying his redemption attempts. He has a lot of internal conflict but from the outside nothing much has changed. He still prioritizes hero work above anything else and shoto is still his favorite child whom he mostly interacts with through wanting to train him. When endeavor texted shoto and got ghosted, the show played it as a show but i couldnt help but think that it was still all about endeavor for him. Endeavor couldnt try to understand shoto for a second and conclude that he might not be answering cause he is at school instead the only thing thar mattered were his texts and his will and how dare shoto not answer immeadiatly. He really is a great hero with the coolest fights but as a father he truly hasnt done much. even kyushu where he got his scar was not for his family but hero work.

Greg K

haha figured you had to have just forgotten

86 LilaS

Trauma should not be compared. Everyone experiences it differently. Something small to you may mean a lot more to someone else. You can tell someone what you think, but you should never tell them how to feel. Natsuo doesn’t feel like forgiving his father. That’s his prerogative, he can revisit this at his own pace if he wants to.

JevCor

Bro you keep trying to push this anti Natsuo opinion and its cringe everytime. I dare you to go to the sibling of an abuse victim and tell them that they are being a loser and they should just forgive their father. Ridiculous.

Limini

"what can i do for my family" be the one who plans and cooks a dinner for a change meet your son where he's at and dont force yourself on him get your wife out of the hospital say sorry for hitting your son until he vomited at age five don't just talk about it and fr get them a house somewhere where they dont have to see you and can live together without having trauma responses every five minutes

~Mercedeez Lee~

The first HALF of season 6 would be the best set of episodes for a binge if you guys still wanna catch up for s8. It’s an arc that will have you on the edge of your seat the entire time Adding on more after thinking about it. I’d say do s6 ep 1-2 like normal, these two must be together since they start off the arc/season but for the binge, if you can do 3-13 would be the best. The arc is a big one but you won’t really notice it since every single episode is hype worthy. Once it’s starts, it doesn’t slow down

JevCor

You posted this like you're trying to say its bad lmao huh?

Harry Oswald Chisholm

It's not all bad the pacing just feels strange and it's obvious that most of budget was being saved for the latter half

Alex Ramirez

I can tell you that I hate Natsuo, terrible character. How should I feel?

JevCor

Just keep watching. Possible Spoilers Below Geks, don't open the thread.

justin

endeavor abused and borderline raped his mom, as well as abusing his siblings. he never acted as a father figure to them at all and just wanted them for power. if i were him i would never even think of forgiving him

Limini

up until now he keeps putting hero work before his family over and over until he really is forced to do otherwise

justin

its not ridiculous to say that

Limini

his arc is mostly internal. he makes a lot of promises and internal vows but in terms of actions he doesnt do much for his family that isnt also hero work

justin

s6 is genuinely constant peak, it was so painful to wait a week between eps

Rayanh Shequinah Nansha

I think MHA is the first anime where I see people recommend watching filler episodes. I’ve personally skipped every filler this anime has to offer so aside from me wondering why the upload was titled this way “5x15 & 17”, I didn’t even feel that there was anything missing here. I thought they just wrote the wrong episode.

Rayanh Shequinah Nansha

And Endeavor went as well. He himself said something along the lines of “I used to hate this high school motto… PLUS ULTRA!” When he was fighting the Nomu.

Limini

endeavor has been abusing his family for decades and has been on his "redemption" arc for less than half a year, most of it internal. What has he done so that natsuo can forgive him? he just wants to be left alone. Endeavor hasnt even really apologized for anything properly yet.

JevCor

If you read it why are you asking questions that are already answered. Stop trying to lead people to your opinion. Also delete these replies, they read the comments and you're trying to spoil with incorrect information.

Limini

he got his quirk in middle school (the black uniform is a middle school uniform) probably around the same time deku got it so 13-15. At the time there was a rule that quirkless students couldnt enter ua hero course, so he must have gotten the quirk before entering high school

justin

no way first half of s6 is the peak of mha imo

JevCor

Bro wants him to stop mid fight while he's getting killed to go have dinner with his family. Edit: this was a reply to an edited comment, ignore lmao

Rayanh Shequinah Nansha

I’ve always understood the kid Shoto being on his knees scene as Endeavor having pushing him past his limits in terms of training, and pushing even more. Not as him beating him. Question: are you watching this for the first time in real time with the Geks?

Alanin_8💜

I'd say binge the first half of S6

JevCor

No they said they read the manga which means they are typing things that they know the answers to with hindsight to try to influence their opinions.

bondbond53

When I say fuck Endeavour I mean it

Alex Ramirez

Most of the abuse Natsuo and Fuyumi personally experienced was being neglected. Fuyumi did get stuck with the household work when her mother was hospitalized and when the maid was injured. Most of physical abuse happened to Shoto and a bit to the mom. However, both Shoto and Fuyumi shown signs of forgiving Endeavor, we got a glimpse of that this batch when Deku told Shoto that he is a nice person and it seems like he is allowing the possibility to forgive him. Fuyumi is also the most positive of the Todoroki's right now and she has also talked about still feeling like it is tough to completely forgive her dad. Then, we have Natsuo who is throwing jabs at Endeavor whenever he can, and in front of guests. That's something to be dealt with in private, and it's immature to do when Endeavor is showing good signs of change. I hope you dont have the idea that it is impossible to forgive an abuser. Some change and it's genuinely a good thing to forgive people who are serious about changing. I see Natsuo as the contrarian of the Todoroki family, never wanting to change.

Limini

i wasnt asking a single question. endeavor was asking himself the question multiple times and i'm giving suggestions on what i think he could/should have done if he wanted to redeem himself. Saying that Endeavor is too much in his own head and not communicating his regrets through actions is not a hot take. Like his entire abusive nature, the reason he had kids, the reason he neglects his kids and the reason he beat up his kids has always been hero work and surpassing all might as an extension of it bzw vice versa. Us viewers might hear his internal monologue but his family doesnt. They don't know that him burning the nomu in kyushu was him metaphorically burning his old self that only sought power. They don't know that his scar is a symbol for what he has done to his family. For his family he just did his work as a hero, as the number one hero and he would have had to beat the nomu regardless of his redemption arc since it was a villan that was acitvely attacking him. i'm not leading anyone to my opinion, i'm very outright stating it. And stating my opinion about endeavors behavour in a comment section of an mha ep about the todoroki family is not something i feel like i have to stop. Endeavor being a great hero but a shitty dad is also not a hot take.

Rayanh Shequinah Nansha

Aahhh, I see. Didn’t see y’all’s exchange until your reply to me. Definitely sucks

Nrock23

It's always so weird hearing Sanji's VA in another show lol

Volt

I think a lot of the people who don't like the Todoroki family arc are people who don't believe that people can (or should be allowed to) change. It's definitely a sensitive topic so there will always be opposing opinions on this arc and how it's handled but I think it's done well

Elle B.

I’ve rewatched this ep a couple of times, and idk why, but Izuku’s advice to Shoto hit me in the feels hard today for some reason 😭. I really liked y’alls discussion in this vid.

M1GZ

It’s all incredible from here on out

Limini

I have watched it before and read the manga. Shoto gets flashbacks to this moment everytime he gets punched in the stomach (deku vs shoto and tetsu vs shoto) and it cuts to him vomiting on the floor, so i thought it was bc endeavor punched him, since his fist is clenched and he says something along the lines of "you won't be able to defeat third rate villains, if you get knocked down by a hit like that" or in the anime it's some thing along the lines of "if youre downed by something like this/ if you get hurt that easily forget beating all might or even small villains". Like the clenched fist really makes me think he hit him.

JevCor

The problem is that you aren't even correct about some of the information its just your opinion/headcanon and you're trying to lead others opinions based on hindsight. Talk about whats in the episode, not what happens later, pretty simple. I can't even argue with you because it would be spoiling future arcs. You literally say he NEVER does things, that's spoilers.

Rayanh Shequinah Nansha

I also understood the reason for him having kids with their mother specifically was yes, so they could surpass him and by extension All Might, but it was also because he didn’t want his kids to have all the drawbacks of his own quirk. He overheats and suffers organ failure if he over-does it, as he stated during his fight with the Nomu. He wanted them to have the cold side to basically not suffer that same drawback. It was both selfish and not selfish because he most likely did want to have a family and he could only think about what that would mean with his quirk in mind. Also, a lot of the things you said felt too insightful, like what he should do, etc, hence why I asked if it was your first watch. Removing some things might be better advised

Lori

All Might went to UA lol. He did go to school XD

Bri

I would say binge either the rest of season 5 or the first half of season 6.

Rohan Gladson

Sorry for the long comment, but I thought this would be a great place to bring this up... Also, another comment I want to leave regarding both this episode and season 5 as a whole is that as I rewatch the show through your guys' first viewing, it kind of shows me how under-appreciated this season was. While I still think this season is the weakest of the 7, it really isn't a "bad" season. While it does not have any episodes that reach the highs of All Might v. All for One, or Endeavor v. High End (Nomu), it still has its moments that make it enjoyable. If anything, after going through the full watch of the show, you realize this season still has its importance, and sets up some important story beats for future seasons. So I have to say, that I'm happy that you guys seem to be enjoying the small moments, such as the Todoroki family dinner (which I know at the time of its release, was not looked upon fondly). The other part, which I am honestly happy with, is your viewing of Endeavor's character arc. From what I see from both fans of the show and those on the internet, there are two extreme sides for Endeavor. Those who love and forgive him for his actions, and those who hate him and wish for his death. I more so fall in the middle, as while Endeavor is my favorite character of the series, unlike most of the cast, he's the least black and white character. When you look at both sides of the extremes, characters such as All Might and Deku stand out as they are the best parts of superhuman society, whereas All for One and Shigaraki represent the worst of what superhuman society can do. When you put Endeavor into this mix, he doesn't really fit either side, as he isn't as pure as the former (as he was abusive to his family), and you can't fit him into latter (as he still one of Japan's greatest heroes, which it was confirmed that he has the most cases solved, including All Might). The other point that you guys hit the nail on the head with his character arc is how Endeavor does not seek forgiveness, which is one thing I would like to point out about his arc. Though many label his arc as a "redemption" arc, since that type of arc for a character is common in many pieces of storytelling and media, it is more of an "atonement" arc. What I mean by this is that with Endeavor, he can't exactly "redeem" himself, as the damage that he dealt to his family has already passed, and at this point, he is very much aware of this (as we see with his dream about the "ideal" family dinner without him). This is why I think his character sticks out from other characters that follow the lines of redemption, as his awareness knows that he can't makeup for past sins, so instead, he seeks to atone, or make amends with his acts, and make way for a better future for his family, because he knows that's all he can do. While I love so many of the characters of MHA, Endeavor is the one that I believe receives the most character development out of the rest, aside from two others (that I won't mention, as it contains spoilers).

Robert

Guys, and girls , the only right answer for the binge starts from 6x3 whether it’s 6 or 8 or 10 eps. Thank you

Limini

Everything i said pertains to the episodes they've already seen. There are no spoilers. Fuyumi planning the dinner and cooking (twice so far) is something he could have done for his family, etc that are all things we see this episode. Hero work vs family has been established since almost the beginning of the todoroki arc and my opinions are supported by the episodes theyve already seen. It's also in the manga so it's canon. i havent even touched the future chapters in the comments. I was mainly talking to about this ep, the kyushu fight and the tournament flashback.

Dub_quinn

Endeavor’s home life is crazy but he would make a good coach with lines like “Learn to do in your sleep the things you need focus to do now! Once you’ve decided to do something, you should already be done doing it!”

SuperChuckABoo

Jackson asking if All Might and Endeavor went to UA 💀💀. Deku is an All Might STAN and the whole reason he wanted to go to UA was cause it was All Mights alma mater. Endeavor also during the fight with the Nomu at the end of season 4 yelled the Plus Ultra school motto even tho he said he hated it. C'mon Jack! Lock in!

JevCor

You literally say he never does any of these things and only focuses on hero work in the future followed by saying you read the manga, I'm not talking about your initial comments.

PurpleQueen💜

I think that was something the whole family really needed to hear, especially shoto and I'm glad he said it.

JevCor

They're watching 45 shows I can forgive him forgetting the school two side characters went to lmao

Ashlee

The Todoroki family subplot is one of the most interesting storylines in MHA hands down !! 🙌🏾🔥

Dub_quinn

Yes Cannon! How can anyone not feel motivated after hearing a speech like “Show me that you can surpass your past selves! Maintaining the status quo is synonymous with going backwards! A hero is constantly accelerating!”

Limini

But overheating is only a "problem" if he wants his kids to be heros who push their limits. If he just wanted children then he could have marries anyone. If the children had his quirk just like him they wouldnt get hurt using it normally only in extreme scenarios (surpassing all might), endeavor does most of his hero work without overheating, fighting nomus is an exception. He never even considered having normal children without a fire quirk, etc bc the sole purpose is that they are tools/an extension of him to surpass allmight. I don't think he ever had his childrens wellbeing in mind until well after he birhted them maybe. Its not like he ever went "thank god fuyumi got her mothers quirk and is not overheating". The things in my original comment are all things that are in the episode. Fuyumi planning dinner for a second time Natsuo being annoyed by endeavor forcing his will on him Shoto getting hit until he vomited his mother still being in the hospital after 10 years them having dinner at a table without him

rue

i’d like a s6 binge starting anywhere as long as it ends with ep 13

cozo

you could binge anywhere from here and it'd all be good but season 6 probably is the most binge worthy

Dub_quinn

Carter’s analysis of Bakugo, spot on hahah, saying he is just himself 110% of the time cracked me up because yes lol

M1GZ

Yah 6x3-6-13 would be fire

Limini

i edited the comment hope youre happy

SHDW Replayz

That's not what they were saying??? 😐

Alanin_8💜

All Might got OFA the same age as Deku and he also went to UA

JevCor

Idrc, I'm just trying to get people to let them make their own decisions on characters and story without being spoiled or led to believe things.

Limini

Up until now what HAS he done for his family that isnt hero work? I mentioned kyushu in the last sentence bc that was a big point in his arc where he confronted his "former" self, which was also all about him and framed through hero work rather than helping his family in any kind of way. He doesn't need to stop hero work but showing putting some sort of effort into his family when he thinks about it every night it not asking for too much. I want endeavor to put actions behind his thoughts

JevCor

There's another large thread above this where prior to editing their comment they did in fact basically say that. lmao

Limini

I edited the second comment i made in that thread, removing a half sentence, and i did not say that endeavor should get himself killed to have dinner with his family

Ryan D

Binge S6 Ep. 5 until you guys can't anymore LMAO. If you watch 8,10,12 episodes or whatever, either way will be an insane binge. Trust.

SuperChuckABoo

Bro All Might is literally the catalyst for the entire show 😭. I get forgetting Endeavor tho Edit: also just to add my first comment is just joking on Jackson. He said in a comment further down he remembered All Might going to UA. So idk if you got offended or something Jev, but relax my guy your favorite reactor will survive

Imani Brooks

Neglect is abuse. Imagine being ignored your entire life by someone supposed to love and care for you. And then the one parent that does do all of that is also taken away by that same man. Plus, the sibling you are closest to dies due to that same man. Every rotten event in Natsuo's life can be tied to Endeavor. And Endeavor has yet to prove he's changed outside of words. Even if he had, no one is owed forgiveness. Endeavor knows this. Even, Fuyumi admitted she feels like Natsuo sometimes, but still wants to be a family. Shoto literally gave a speech in Episode 15 on how he still doesn't see Endeavor as a father. Plus, Rei is still scared to see Endeavor. No one has truly forgiven him and Endeavor acknowledges/accepts this. So why are you only picking on Natsuo?

Limini

Zero of what ive said is not already in the story. Theyre adults that can form their own opinions. I'm not bashing endeavor nor glazing him. Nor is any of this hindsight when it's right here in this episode.

JevCor

Yes, because you edited the comment. Thank you, that was all I was trying to get you to do, I'm not interested in arguing about your opinion on characters.

Alanin_8💜

Yeah, I agree with the other comments. 6x3-6x13 would be a perfect binge

JevCor

It's sarcasm and hyperbole.

Miitei

If you are interested in doing more than 1 binge I said you could watch the last 5 episodes of this season together, then I agree with everyone saying 6x3-6x13

Alex Ramirez

Yeah, and I think he had more time to train his body for OFA.

Limini

On something which has nothing to do with my comments

Rayanh Shequinah Nansha

Yes, that’s why I said it was selfish AND not selfish. And it’s already been stated that most kids take either of the parents’ quirk. He wanted to ensure it’d be half and half rather than just his.

Nash

Endeavor is such a well written character. Definitely in my top 5 favourite characters

JevCor

Why??? Like... I just don't understand.

JevCor

Seems like all might was already built like a tank at that age lmao

JevCor

Huh? Lmao where did that come from. Relax.

JevCor

Okay, so to argue the counter side, he is now the number one hero, synonymous with the most important human in the country, even All Might himself was struggling to keep up with everything happening and had no time for any kind of personal life. Why is Endeavor held to a different standard, why are you assuming he has free time to focus on anything other than trying to keep the country from collapsing. He can't just stop doing hero work for any kind of extended time, just one night off for dinner was probably a stretch. What he did was wrong, holding his current position against him is also unfair to his attempt to bring his family together, he's burdened with the most important job in his entire country.

cozo

they said 8-10 episodes but they would probably do 2 binges that are both 4-5 episodes

Yam

Guys now its a perfect time to react to the OVA All might's rising its 2mins long and its worth watching

JevCor

Huh???? I've literally never seen this take, maybe on the fringes of snark reddits.

JevCor

Uh, this is a new comment not a reply.

Chlo

abuse is abuse. period. neglect is a form of abuse and i don't like that it seems like you're trying to say one form of abuse is worse than another. any type of abuse can cause severe trauma. saying something like "he was just neglected" sounds like you aren't taking neglect seriously as a very real form of abuse. natsuo has every right not to forgive his father and there is no reason why he has to play nice and civil with the man who tore his family apart

TheHollanLegacy

Can was NOT having any conversation about anyone having All Might but him 🤣 honestly love how much you support All Might dude 🤣❤️

Chlo

this has been suggested several times, but i would LOVE if you guys chose to binge the beginning of season 6. eps 3-13 feel like a really good group of episodes to binge

JulioLG

Hey that is a really difficult question there.. I'd say binge the whole thing hahaha But after a bit of tought my suggestion for the 10 eps binge is from ep 6 to ep 15. Im not gonna elaborate of course.

JulioLG

Yes plz no movies, you saw their reaction to the last one: "ok I'll take this as a what if". Better watch all the end if its your thing.

justin

after everything he's done to his family, endeavor shouldn't be expecting any form of forgiveness, even if he's trying to change. he knows that his children don't owe him any forgiveness. it's great that he's trying to change but that doesn't erase the years of abuse, and to expect natsuo to instantly be chill with this is crazy to me. he's lucky fuyumi and shoto are even trying

Dub_quinn

All Might’s biggest fan, it’s a full time gig 😂✨

ginabella

Enji Todoroki could humble himself for the rest of his life and I'll never forgive him. Call me immature, call me vindictive, thats just my opinion as a jaded person, and luckily, this is all fiction anyway haha

QuirklessEsty

With how nuts the next two seasons are, maybe doing a solid chunk of the first half of S6 (as most have suggested) is the way to go for the binge. Despite S7 being my favorite season, some breaks in between will add to that experience.

india holloman

All might went to U.A he didn’t get it when he was older. He trained at school like deku, then he studied abroad in the U.S. and developed his style and look. All might was quirkiness so he had to build hisself up to but he had more space to do that then deku I’m pretty sure. I wish they would do a story of all might coming up.

Jyle

Binge late season 5 into early season 6, you’ll wanna space out some of the amazing moments early - mid season 6 rather than absorb it all at once!

Knoebility

I could live without movie 3. It's probably the best written story wise, but the pacing of it is rough and it lacks the sakuga of the other 3 movies. But movie 4 is pure gasoline and I will gladly spend a day watching it with them again.

Swish Mix Productions

Once again I just gotta say it lol, but yall are literally not ready at all for what’s about to happen in the rest of the series..

Watcher123

Mha is peak from every episode on out from here

Swish Mix Productions

Bro every episode from here on out is the definition of peak I’ve been saying that for a minute but I literally am now very excited for every drop that is to come, even if y’all were to do one episode drops

cozo

wdym 😭 the whole show is literally peak from here on out

kiria

One thing I really love about how the Todoroki family plot is developed is that Endeavors past actions haunt the rest of his entire story and often times his family's. Even when we start to see Endeavor in a more positive light- we root for him against the nomu, we see him offering great hero advice to Deku Bakugo and Shoto etc. Intermixed between these moments are flashbacks over n over to what Shoto endured in childhood. Even when we see progress a new wrench is thrown in- Lost brother Toya. It's very back and forth the way grieving and overcoming past trauma would be. I feel like it takes the audience along that ride as one can choose to support Endeavors growth and atonement but will never be able to ignore what he did and its lasting effect.

Dub_quinn

I’m ready for the moment they all lean forward and lock in lol. It’s like the moment you know the show is cooking cause the geks are speechless

Insanity_Plead

All might was a UA student he got One for all in middle school just like deku is, you see this in season three when he’s talking to his master in a flashback he’s wearing a middle school uniform and that convo was before he got One for all

M1GZ

So true from here on out it’s all peak

M1GZ

L rage bait x2

M1GZ

S7 is SO GOOD it feels almost like a waste to binge so much of it haha

M1GZ

Bakugo has one mode explode

Yam

I won't forget anyone irl cuz i don't really know what they are thinking or if they really want to do better but in fiction we know exactly what his feels thats why i forgive him

Yam

I agree, i don't like the idea of having a lot of peak moments on just 1 sitting

Alex Ramirez

Oops, now I can't reply to the specific person anymore. Oh well

Lexzc

Well they either do the movies or they dont, considering they already did 2 why skip the remaining ones? If getting to the story asap means skipping stuff, why not just jump ahead to season 7? Honestly, whats the rush.

Night Sterling

I'd say binge the first half of season 6 until ep 13

Nami Swannn

I think these episodes are the best of the Todoroki family writing to me. I don’t really like how the author goes about it after, feels like the plot does lots of coddling, but anyways I’m still excited to see your reactions!

Arctic_stark

First half of season 6 ought to be binged.

Kyle

it's so peak!! For the older brother, I do think it's a little different for him since he was literally unwanted by Endeavor. So I can see why it's harder for him

stako

the cinema gek vid gonna be so peak guys... cinema

stako

6x3 - 6x13 hands down. i binged s6 in a single day it’s that binge-able lol

Arctic_stark

Good point. I can see Natsu being the most ignored of all the siblings by far while growing up.

Arctic_stark

The way MHA handles Endeavor and the Todoroki family is so unique for shonen anime. The story never makes any excuses for Endeavor's past behavior, never lets him off the hook, and doesn't let us move past his actions to give him an easy redemption arc. There is also something Shakespearean in how Endeavor simply cannot enjoy a moment of being Number 1, something he wanted all his life. The moment he got the top spot his eyes were opened to the things he had done to get there, and the burden of the top spot.

Vernus

Kinda slight spoilers for episode count** Especially knowing the manga ahead of time I don’t know how anime onlys felt but considering the next arc was like six months in real time having it squished into like 6 to 8 episodes definitely hurts. The manga was so epic during that time. It was my favorite arc

Vernus

I’m sure eventually we will get to a design that you like lol. Still a good chunk of story left and plenty of time for costume alterations

Vernus

We are in no rush to finish the series the next season is not even out yet and when it does release we will be on one episode a week for the next 13 to 24 weeks. If you were able to go see the movies in theater it was always a hype time for fans of the series. Some fights in these movies are the best we are going to see some of these characters in my opinion, it’s just a good hype time

Hanah

nice shirt Carter!

Navri

Please binge from like ep 6x3 to 6x13 its nonstop peak

Rayanh Shequinah Nansha

That’s why it’s funny. And ironically, you saying that after you said he can get it makes it funnier

Yabadabadoo

All might went to UA, its in the All Might OVa All Might Rising

Ninjinzo

all might went to UA jack

Bdubs97

Agree it’s just full on peak

Bdubs97

I like this the best actually, hope they see this. And my villian academia leading into season 6 ep like 6 would be peak

Hanah

"You can't abuse forgiveness" - that's a bar Cannon

Levifold

I think it’s important to remember that nobody is owed forgiveness. If you’ve seriously wronged someone and it’s caused them harm, then yeah, they don’t owe you anything, no matter how guilty you feel or how you try to make up for it. It is important to recognise and own up to mistakes and do better, but yeah.I think it’s interesting how this is playing out in the Todoroki family too, and how each of them are processing the past and trying to reconcile it with the present, especially as most of Endeavour’s current change process seems to have only recently begun to occur in the last 6ish months, as opposed to a decade or more of shitty behaviour. It’s this change though and how it’s playing out that makes for a compelling story. I still don’t like Endeavour, but there’s nuance to what’s happening here.

Dub_quinn

I like that they show change taking time, and it’s so real life that different family members think differently. It’s refreshing since a lot of anime’s don’t take the time to flesh out emotions or they spoon feed you every emotion. This is more realistic since we get to know a little more each season we’re with the Todoroki’s

patricia jimjimcherie

This is my no.1 . 21:59 Endeavor basically told them "don't be scared to fail right now, because I can make up for the mistakes you make" basically given them lower stakes so they can actually work without having the fear and stress of failure on their shoulders.

patricia jimjimcherie

35:50 His first name is Enji. Enji is written as 炎司 where 炎 means fire and 司 means govern / in charge of. It can be interpreted in two ways "Ruler of Fire" and "The Boss of the Todoroki".

Saint

also allmight was quirkless... so theres no way he did not use hardwork. esp when his original master had AFO it wasnt much to write about. Allmight built that quirk to what Deku got

Jack

We just know that he could immediate use AFO at 100% so he had amazing talent to begin with

Kyle

that's what I think. To the point where Natsu feels more like a stranger to his own dad and little brother at times

Jv1300

You guys should watch and react to soul eater!

Mandy Renee

the todoroki family is one of my favorite stories despite how tragic it is

cozo

they have too many other animes already and others that ppl will vote for so we'll have awhile till we get soul eater

Jasmin☆

i have a big love hate with endeavor like i absolutely love his character and then i just hate the things he did i don’t think they can be forgiven and i can’t say why rn 🤧

Daniella

The Todoroki family is easily one of best parts of the show they're such a complicated family each with their own complex feelings towards one another. I cannot wait for you guys to see their storyline in it's entirety i fear you guys are not readyyy. I also love how Natsuo hates Endeavour the most but looks just like him 😭 and i'm just backing the comments you should definitely binge 6x3 to 6x13 either way i think you guys will want to binge more 🤭

Albin Limani

We should keep in mind that All Might kept All for One for more than 4 decades and cultivated it. That is more power than all the other users combined, considering that he already got it cultivated from them.

Stairguy

The more I read comments and think about it, I don't think you should binge ssn 7. There's just several episodes it's good to have a break after. So some part of ss 6 is probably ideal to me.

Nyx

That's says more about u than him

Nyx

That's says more about them not being able to forgive a fake anime character that's trying to change and be a better father

Albin Limani

If there is one storyline that Horikoshi is incapable of missing while writting, it is the Todoroki styoryline. His writing easily is at the peak during this. Also, Endeavor is easily my favorite character. Such a multilayered character. So flawed, so many mistakes, but still doing his best to change and do right by his family however he can. The duality of him being the pinnacle of hard work as a Endeavor, while being so flawed and horrible as Enji, to then starting the bring his awesomeness as Endeavor into his private life as well, it is just so well written.

Albin Limani

It's a good thing then that you are not the one supposed to forgive him, his family is. And his arc is not an arc of forgiveness, it is an arc of redemption.

Albin Limani

It is said in episode 3 or 4 than most of the top 10 went to UA. All Might, Endeavor and Best Jeanist are all top 5 and they all went to UA.

Albin Limani

There is definitely one episode in this season that reaches that peak MHA episode status.

Albin Limani

@Limini you are so wrong it is not even funny. "He should cook dinner for them and invite them", while Natsuo and Shoto only show up for these because Fuyumi asks them to, they show up for her sake, not for Endeavor. If Endeavor tried to do anything for them they would not even respond. That is why he is so conflicted about what he should do. He sees a dream where they are happy, but they are happy without him there, so he is scared to try and do something for them because he knows they will just hate him more and reject him. I am sorry but how is it possible to miss the point so completely? And of course he takes his job seriously, if he misses one day of it people that he could have saved will die. It is not like he is working and office job affecting no one. He misses one day, since he is the person with the most saved people in history, the death toll will go in the double digits.

Albin Limani

@Limini good thing Horikoshi actually understands layers while writing because man your media literacy is through the gutter. Tell me, how should he approach and do something for Natsuo who absolutely hates him? "Oh son, you know the years of hatred you have for me? Forget that, let me make you some eggs." Or to Shoto: "Oh Shoto, I have abused you for years but forget that and let's go to the park and have fun." The whole point of his arc in the current story is that he genuinely has no idea how to confront the people he has hurt so much. That is the question he poses to himself so many times, because he just does not know. Hero work is one thing he has known how to do his whole life and he is good at, so at this point he thinks that if he can be a hero they can be proud of, something he says directly to Shoto, then he can find a way into their hearts. What did you want him to reconnect with his family in 2 scenes?

Albin Limani

Endeavor is easily the best teacher in the show. In just one conversation with Deku he puts him on the right path to solve the problems he has had for such a long time. The jump in power Deku gets during his training with Endeavor in such a short time is way ahead of anything Deku's other teachers ever managed to teach him.

Rohan Gladson

Now that you mention it, I recall "that" episode your talking about, and, yeah, I would agree that "that" episode is a peak MHA episode. *** POTENTIAL SPOILER *** I think the reason why I said there isn't "any" episode that reaches that high, is because with the episodes that I did mention (All Might v. All for One, or Endeavor v. High End), outside of it's narrative strengths, it also has overall peak animation quality throughout the episode. However "that" episode in season 5, is probably one of the strongest written episodes of the series, so I look forward to how the group reacts to it!

Albin Limani

That episode made that specific character one of my favorites in not just MHA but in modern shounen. It completely brings everyrhing together and suddenly you understand where 5 seasons of development have been leading.

Albin Limani

And one more thing, he does some of the things you talked about in the next episode. This is an arc that happens throughout the show, stop being mad ghat you are not being handed everything in one episode.

Watcher123

thats literally what i said?!!??!?!

Sam Davis

S6 E1-8 binge that

Sam Davis

Dekus suit is awesome Cannons crazy, Bakugo has the grenade gauntlets the only thing that makes it stand out

JevCor

No one is saying he didn't have to work hard, we are saying he was incredibly talented and could just use his power at full tilt, Endeavor and Deku had to slowly build up and accumulate experience to use their power. Also its One For All, crazy that everyone in this thread keeps calling it AFO lmao

AJCoCoQueen

The todorokis are the most mind simulating stories in the show frfr. You guys have NO idea yet how deep

FrostyMiniYeets

R.I.P. they skipped the episode 16 after-credit scene

Kika gama

All might went to UA. It's the reason why Deku wanted to go to UA so badly. He wasn't older, he was just taller and more built than Deku. Like Lida for example.

lissa

6x3-13 would be a good binge

Taylynn

I think you binging the first 10 episodes of season 6 would be great! because ALOT of stuff starts to happen. just saying!

radia boumechera

Definitely a binge from season 6, 3 to 13 is the best !!

Jenny D

I will admit I'm starting to like this new side of Endeavor. And his first name is Enji. They mentioned it a few times. The Todoroki's are an interesting family. And, All Might did go to UA. I wish they showed more of him in his school days of did a spinoff with his adventures.

Nivek

Why is shoto the only prominent character in the world that has an obvious dual quirk?

Nivek

34:43 @CanonAndrus this show has motivated distilled I swear, but if you liked that y’all should watch Gurren Laggan. It’s peak pierces the heavens ☝🏼

Yam

There are more characters like that imo, every character that can do more than 1 thing with their quirk its an hybrid to me (like hawks, if you know about his family youll see why i say this)

TED103

just binge all of season 7 man

Nivek

I’m caught up with the anime, I thought of hawks briefly but he kinda fell under this category in my head of animorph type quirks that just give all the abilities of that animal like froppy, her power is just to be a frog lmao but then there’s the principle for instance is a small creature which is a quirk if you ask me that also has an intelligence quirk

Dani G

Now you are beginning to see why Endeavour is my favorite.

Tyler

All Might and Endeavor both went to UA

Tivy

You guys make great points about Endeavour. His journey is one of atonement, not redemption. So really nobody owes him forgiveness and that’s fine, he was an awful person. But what makes it interesting is that he’s trying to make things right.

Nico

Yes! You guys get it. Endeavors character is about atonement! It was never about redemption like how other people said or misunderstood. You dont need to forgive him, and no one will justify what he did. Its such a narrow way of thinking in animanga fandoms that it can only be black or white, if you like a bad guy doing bad things = you support their actions and you are also a horrible person, instead of actually looking into the character and their development throughout the whole story.

humbleandkindness

9:08 “dude bakugo’s costume is so lit 😄… deku’s sucks 😐” BAHAHAHAHAHA

Moon

I'm so late to this reaction so I'll spare you guys the long-winded essay gushing about how good Endeavour's analogy for his explanation of parallel processing is and how useful his advice is compared to All Might's (mostly because he REALLY gets what his three work study students need due to his similar experiences struggling to become the best, unlike All Might who was able to overcome those limits because of his innate talent supposedly easier than other normal heroes). Anyways. I think the word Carter was looking for towards the end of the discussion was "relatable". Because it's true that while we see a lot of different family dynamics in anime, a lot of them are also so far out of the realm of possibility in our minds due to the extreme circumstances or settings the stories are in. With the Todoroki family, it's plain and simple abuse and neglect, which is frighteningly common in our reality. But that's what makes their family dynamic so relatable, because it's the most often seen in modern society. Horikoshi's very realistic portrayal of the different coping mechanisms and reactions of each child in the family are just the bonus on top of what is an already easily relatable situation for many.

jrnoodles

Thank you! The Todoroki family dynamic is interesting. What happened to Toya? Natsuo insinuated his father is to blame for his death.

Kayanolive

S6 1-8 or 3-13. 1-8 might be fitting to "start a new season blalbla" but yeah those two are the binge targets i think!!

Kayanolive

I hear u Carter but idk alot of people had dads JUST like endeavor yk. and doing a few flashy tricks doesnt change what happened. And idk it just takes time, especially if it ruined ur life. ofc its fiction but for some it hits a lil too close so i cannot really hype up a character like him personally. Seeing everyone thirst for an abusive freak is odd but yeah his families storyline is interesting. Edit: a little sidenote, it wasnt only when Shoto was little too. He was still acting awful in the tournament arc and after while showing no remorse. No way anyone should forgive him in a time span this short yk?

2danimehoe

Honestly, i LOVE Bakugo's whole costume 💓 It's so beautiful and complete in my eyes

Chosos Wife

Honestly, even after this episode I was still kinda ok with forgiving Endeavour. But once I got to future episodes and saw the extended version of Endeavours marriage and their kids and their history I immediately swung towards hating him. I can admire him as Endeavour the hero, but as Enji Todoroki, that man does not deserve to be forgiven by anyone in his family, especially his wife

Fatipapi (Byakuya’s Girl)

I just realized.. isnt it bad for shoto to use his ice to travel? He's just leaving these massive ice crystals that will take forever to melt, blocking roads and sidewalks 😂

Chlo

agreed. I can't get behind his character because I was in an abusive relationship and was very traumatized by that. I can respect his character writing and admit that he is a phenomenal character, but I cannot bring myself to like him due to my own trauma. I don't get upset that there are people who like him, but for me personally, I can't hype him up at all.

Kayanolive

Im in a similar boat, hope u are better now 🫂

Chlo

yes i am healing from it !! i hope you're doing better too 🫶💖

Kayanolive

We love to hear that!🫂 About to move out so im almost free from my family!!

Dee

Endeavor fans are so weird…

Zemillion

you can like how a character is written. It's just being a fan of a character rather than a supporter of that character

Felix

Bruh on god the guy on the left trying to spoil 😭
