3:00 I CAN STILL FIX HER MCKAY SHE LOOKS FREAKING PERFECT WITH THAT HAIR

Tivy

10:50 — Just to answer your question Jack, “Ha Ye-sol” is her actual name. In Korean names, the first part is the surname. When Jae-jun said, “It’s actually Jeon Ye-sol,” he was just implying she’s his daughter, as “Jeon” is his surname (Jeon Jae-jun).

humbleandkindness

0:07 BAHAHAHAHAHA,, you’re not stupid, you’re just being criticized by people who have already seen the show, or have seen enough Kdramas to recognize the storytelling habits they have. It’s like trying to practice a language you’re still starting to learn, and then walking into a room of pretentious assholes who either speak it fluently or natively. I’m not here to see you correctly predict/deduce every single step, I’m here to see what you think, because I enjoyed it, and I was also fooled by quite a lot! I haven’t even watched the video yet, but I love hearing you guys’s thoughts on the pieces of media you consume.

serena

just cannon casually torturing carter with those last two minutes

serena

but dong-eun's mom is just genuinely appalling

Betsy

I love seeing Yeon-jin and her Mom completely losing it. The power and control they've been so accustom to all their life is starting to vanish. Yeon-jin not taking responsibility for her actions is typical. She tries to play the victim and treat everyone like a fool. She doesn't think she did anything wrong. That's the problem. She sees pleasure in bringing pain to others. Now people are on to her game. The evidence of all her evil deeds are now being revealed one by one thanks to clever, Dong-eun, Hyeon-nam, and Yeo-jeong. Yeon-jin can't hide it anymore or sweep it under the rug as of it nothing happened. She has to own up to her past actions and sins. That being said, she's too selfish to do any of that. But still, it's nice to see her Mom hitting her breaking point. Haha That's what you both get for treating people like they are easily disposable and not actual human-beings with feelings and a mind of their own. They bullied and manipulated others for so long. All the people in their lives were only tools to help them get ahead. Blackmail has never been so sweet. Ugh, I strongly dislike her mother but am also still disgusted with Hyeon-nam's rat husband. He's a new level of scum. And it is kind of funny how Yeonjin and her mother sort of resemble each other with certain facial expressions when they're in shambles. Their tower is starting to collapse. You can only screw people over so many times before it eventually backfires and you're left to pay the piper.

Jamless Jimin

I swear McKay has beef with noodle slurps 😭 41:53 💀 Carter looking at him made it even funnier

Anya

Moon's mom is the devil. Your mom being your first perpetrator is sad. Moon was deeply affected by her betrayal & thats why she shows the most emotion with her. 53:55 Cannon torturing Carter😂 "turn it ooofff" 😭

Mary

Yayayayya

misa

Lmao i love how DONE y'all are with the mom bc i have an estranged family member who reminds me of her 💀💀💀

mina

right i noticed hahaha, he overlooked it tho because he likes yeojeong i guess😂

Betsy

Wow Hye-jeong breaking up with her fiancee and calling off her engagement through a text message just shows her character or lack there of. She was only using him I know to buy her expensive things since she's very materalistic and cares about her status. It's funny how she's trying to win over Jae-jun but he's only using her for sex and to maybe try to get Ye-sol if he's married to Hye-jeong. He doesn't actually like her. She's a bit delusional. She's had a long unrequited crush on him for a very long time.

mina

cannon being a menace😭😭

Anya

I loved all of Yeo-jeong's scenes this episode! His conversation with Mr. Ha about victims reclaiming their own glory & honor. Yeo-jeong understands Moon on a deeper level. His "I'll show you the hell I'm living in" & "I'll show you the hell that you'll be living in" to Mr. Kang. The best one was with Moon! "Because it's 100% now." He's so patient with her & she finally took the first step & embraced him! I love to see Moon open up & realize that she has people on her side! I LOVE YEO-JEONG❤️

floo

She loves jeajun but hopeless romantic 🤣

Betsy

Yep she's in her own little world. He doesn't even like her 😂

Sho

YESSSSSSSSS

Anya

Cannon is so disgusted with her lol & it was so funny watching them when she flashed lmao

Anya

McKay Mukbang👀

Tivy

Thanks for the reaction guys, and I promise we don’t think you’re stupid! This show can be hard to follow with its non-linear story and subtle twists that only click once everything comes together, but you’ve been doing a great job picking up on it and making solid predictions. I’m really glad you’re enjoying it because this rewatch has given me a whole new appreciation too. I didn’t love it the first time around (it was super hyped when it came out, partly due to the real-life bullying discussions in Korea), but seeing it again and watching you guys enjoy it makes me appreciate it so much more. I was so sad after Weak Hero ended, but this journey has also been great!

Anya

Like mother, like daughter. I love seeing them spiral! Then there's our glorious Moon who is nothing like her mother.

Betsy

Yeo-jeong's drip is one of my favorites in the show. It's so cozy and looks very comfy. And it's cute how he and Dong-eun are growing closer the more time they spend with each other and get to know one another. They're good at reading the other without even a single word to be said. He and her can just read each other's body movements. It's so sweet how caring and gentle he is with her because he knows it's a fraglice space he's entering. Therefore, he's treading lightly and not forcing her to open up to him and instead waiting until she comes to him. He's the perfect knight, swordsman, prince, and stress relief to come home to. Goodness, his house is so cozy, warm, and inviting especially with the little tent he made for our girl to stay when she needs comfort and alone time with her thoughts. Also, I almost forgot that scene with him and Do-yeong at the park playing Go. It was fun to see a little mutual understanding between the two and maybe a little friendship forming too possibly. It's great how they both care for Dong-eun but in different ways. Yeo-jeong understands her heart and all the pain she's endured and held on to since she was kid. And Do-yeong only can see what's on the surface but still wishes her the best. Ultimately, they both want her to be happy and find peace through all her trauma and misfortune.

Betsy

Their faces were priceless especially Cannon's lol He was flabbergasted. Yeah I can understand the disgust. She is a pretty unlikable character and not as interesting to me as the others.

Betsy

True. They're both are horrible. It's amazing how Moon became such a good person even after having that banshee and witch of a mother. Seeing her scenes makes my blood boil... shibal

Janice W

NAHHH I think it's crazy that people think you guys don't like this show💀💀I honestly think you guys picked up on a lot of things and details from the show. With Yeojeong's character, it's entirely fair to have different opinions on revenge and it's fun to hear/see discussion about it. Sorry Carter, I can't even count the amount of times I watched the last scene. The mom may be demon incarnate but the acting with Dongeun is just so🤌🤌 The way she's laughing but also crying is SOOOOO good. It's probably such a mix of emotions finally getting justice, but it's bittersweet cause this is HER MOM. The cast is so goated😭

Betsy

They were so good and comforting to see after all the chaos and suspense. Yeo-jeong, our number 1 boy!

Anya

I mean, he has waited for her for yearss! I like Mr. Ha but Yeo-jeong understands her better. You are correct. He is her perfect knight, swordsman, prince, & stress relief to come home to!

Anya

Best boy Yeo-jeong🥰

Tivy

I was confused when I heard people were saying that too 😅 I could tell that they found the first few episodes a bit heavy, but after that they’ve definitely seemed really into it. Is this mostly coming from people in the YouTube comments?

T.Yaseen

Moon's mom is the fking worst... I can't stand her at all, I can't think of a worse character in the history of shows that I've watched, like ever...

Betsy

That's valid, Anya. He has waited patiently for her to return her feelings toward him. He's given her a lot kf time to sort things out. I like Mr. Ha too but he and Moon wouldn't make sense or be compatible. Whereas, Yeo-jeong knows her on a deep emotional level. Their relationship is beautiful :)

Anya

That banshee! Shibal sekiiyyaaaa!

Violet833

They were both wearing black this episode too

Merry

That hug was a special moment where Moon showed that even though you always appear happy, you also need support and healing — and that I am for you🫰

humbleandkindness

The impressions of the mom are KILLING me lol,, I think even if you lined up every individual thing the Yeonjin has done and compared it to dongeun’s mom, Mom would still come out on top as the worst. Not because objectively her list is worse, but because a parent’s loyalties should be with their child, especially when that child is being mistreated and abused as badly as Dongeun! Yeonjin had no reason to mistreat Dongeun, and neither did anyone else, but Mihui (idk how to spell the moms name in romanization) had EVERY reason to protect her: she was her daughter, she was a good kid, and she had done no wrong. This actress and this series did such a great job portraying parental betrayal, and the lack of regret along with it.

Betsy

I think I hate the Mom more than any other character on this show. Even after a third rewatch, she's still insufferable. Die please, lady! You don't deserve to have Moon as your daughter. You ungrateful selfish piece of trash!!!

Betsy

I noticed that, couple outfits, so cute!! 🥰

Betsy

The mom is a vile piece of trash. Everytime I see her on the screen, I want to punch her in the face and pull out her ugly tacky orange hair. But like McKay said, props to the actress. She's done a phenomenal job. She portrayed her character perfectly enough for us to actually hate her with every fiber of our being. Aigoo! Shibal! How dare she try to hurt our precious Dong-eun.

nqyw

You r right but this is a spoiler tho please delete the commment

Anya

If someone turns Betsy violent then you know it's real lmaoo shibal sekiyaaa!

Anya

Carter is so hilarious. I need him to rage like that as the jungler! 😭

Sasha (Yare Yare Daze)

McKay pretends to like the dark but actually he is a hopeless romantic

Anya

So beautiful🫰

Betsy

Hahaha I've turned to the dark side, Anya. She infuriates me.

Anya

FAACCTTSSS🗣

Betsy

It's always peak comedy with Carter. I've never seen Jack laugh that hard before. The orange hair does make it more funny and also cringey. And Cannon asking McKay, "How much would I have to pay you to sleep with the Mom? 🤣

Betsy

A healing moment for them both ❤

Betsy

I love them! It's fun and eductional. They're hilarious

Sasha (Yare Yare Daze)

Only Korean word better than Shibaaal is when it's Shiiibal saekkiya

Janice W

I guess so(???) or maybe people were upset with different opinions(?). I think the geks have been pretty observant if anything

Betsy

Anya, what does "sekiiyyaaaa" mean?

Ashley K

Her acting was amazing for the short amount she was on screen in the show it left such an impression. RIP to the actress.

Sasha (Yare Yare Daze)

I realized something after Carter said that the conversations are so good in this. That every one of my favorite kdrama and tv show is really all about how good the interactions between people are.

Anya

"Shibal saekkiya" is how you spell it but when I yell I like to sekiyaaa it lmao it's "you f'n bastard" or "you son of a b" hahaha

Ashley K

Now y’all got Cannon saying sibal look what you’ve done 😭

def

carter's face when dongeun and yeojeong hugged was so funny

Mimi

That hug between dong eun and yeo jeong 🥰

Tivy

Yeah for sure. I’m just surprised that there seems to be some impression that they dislike the show, or that people have been saying they do. The patreon comments have been very positive for the most part 🤔

floo

I love it tho👀🤭

floo

Park yeonjin is always drippy too

Rawaby 1204

Not Cannon having fun torturing them with the last scene 😂 anyway i think we need to send these guys some wardrobe accounts for this drama , there is always an outfit they like in every episode lol

mariacake

Cannon: Lipbalm? ❎ Fidget spinner ✅

S Moonchild⁷

Apparently Sara dyed her hair to cover marks from injections on her scalp. Actress that plays Dongeun's mom is actually a very famous horror movie actress in Korea Also, actress that plays Hyeojeong had to use prosthetics to make it seem like she had plastic surgery. Press in Korea is crazyyy, if you are even a semi-famous person (like weather reporter, artist or daughter of The Pastor). And reputation is very big thing for your career, no company will have you if you have issues that got public. That's why Kpop idols are so polished, press will be on their necks if they breath wrong. Shamanism can be real (I guess there are some decent shamans), but they showed how this one is lying cause she thought Sohee is alive. She is bad, so to earn money she tells women being with some men will remove their negative energy, basically pimping them to people who would pay her.

LaurAbroad

That scene of them playing Go in the park with Yeo-jeong and Do-yeong is one of my favourites of the series. It really helps people understand why traumatized people might need revenge to heal and others might choose to try to move on. This ep shows the contrast between Yeo-jeong, Dong-Eun, and Gyeong- ran. Brilliant writing 👏🏼

Tivy

It was one of my favourites too! It discusses one of the main themes of the show so naturally

jrnoodles

Thanks! The mom is insane!

Tivy

I love how McKay started this show saying he wanted their relationship to be a nice slow burn, and now that it actually is he’s begging for more moments lol

지원

the acting is crazy i hate mom !!!!!!!

Anya

I didn't know that Ashley! Omg yes, RIP🥀

Mikkeai8908

I love how yeonjin tried to sulk like she’s the victim in all this. 😂 like girl, your karma just came back around to pay you a visit.

Jasmin☆

can we get the last 2 eps together please 😫

Irene Priska

Dude! Hate the mom character so much I get seriously mad every time she appear on the screen. I mean, she’s not even real. It’s my third time watching this show and I still get so upset over this. Brilliant writing & actors. Such a good show ✨

vicc

Every scene with Dong-eun’s mom makes my skin crawl

vicc

So close to the finale… I don’t want this to end 😭

Tivy

BAHAHA

Nikita

LMAOO The mom cracks me up honestly. Like yeah obv she's the worst and annoying as hell but the way the actress does those crazy expressions and the way she talks is kind of funny to me because its so exaggerated. It's especially funny when she's sitting on the floor and starts raising her legs up like a toddler. She's basically a giant middle aged toddler. It's like if a kid just never gets disciplined and gets frozen at that mental age but becomes an adult, that's her. These are my feelings on a rewatch by the way. During my first, I pretty much felt similar to you guys.

Nikita

Yeah who's saying that? Must be on Youtube because I've been reading most, if not all, of the comments here and people don't think that.

Nikita

You guys are so funny 😂😂

Initial D.

I despise Dong-Eun's mom so much man...

Matthew Valentine

auntie is too goated nothing bad can happen to her for the rest of the show

patricia jimjimcherie

I always look forwards to your videos guys, y’all always make my day better

Tivy

Exactlyyyy

Betsy

Oops, I forgot to mention one of my goats and favorite characters, Hyeon-nam aka Mrs. Kang aka Auntie haha It made me happy to see her smile and put makeup on for herself just because she wanted to and not because she was forced. Or maybe it was for her rat of a husband, I don't know. But at least it seemed like she was at peace for a little bit. She deserves much more of it. I still feel sad that Sun-ra had to leave her Mom but I know it was for the best. And they will be reunited soon, hopefully once things settle down and everything is finished. They have to put out the firr first. But when Hyeon-nam is happy, it makes me happy. I want all the happiness and good fortune for her. She and Sun-ra have endured so much trauma and hell in their life more than one should. Also when she was snacking and reading the article of Yeon-jin's downfall, it made me shout out with glee. Yes victory!!! It was so cute when she laughed and gave a big grin. Oh Yeon-jin, you thought she was on your side, nope think again. Our Auntie would never stoop to your level. She has more sense than than that and is thankfully, a good person and is much smarter than you give her credit for. Love her a lot!! Can't wait until her husband is completely out of the picture. Anyways, I'm psyched for episode 14 on Thursday!! The suspense is growing and more things are being revealed... The plot is so strong with this show!

Happy 1001

They are good actors, Make me mad all the time OMG!

raeven b.

The actress of Dongeun’s mom also recently passed away a few months back (can’t think how far back). So sad. She was a vibrant person in real life. Such a great actress to be able to play such memorable characters, good and bad.

S Moonchild⁷

Oh wow I didn’t know that… internet says in September of last year. RIP

Lil Mimi

Korea is known for kbq and Japan is known for ramen. I’m with you Carter I luv some Korean bbq

Lil Mimi

Hear me out but damn she drives a nice car tho an AMG. Park Yeonjin

Lamya

Excited what the next kdrama!!

Moon

HELP Carter's face when Yeojeong told Dongeun their current situation is 100% now had me cracking up. I love that you guys are just as, if not more, invested in their relationship as I was. Your expressions are so entertaining when she finally stepped forward for the first time to hug Yeojeong on her own terms. The giggly and bubbly feelings are very much valid and in line with my own reaction HAHAHAH

radia boumechera

Omg its almost ending really hoping for your next kdrama to be bloodhounds !!

Mamabug

Having watched this series way too many times, I interpret her wearing makeup in two ways - 1st, she finally has hope that she can move beyond her situation and be the woman she wants to be, not the one her husband forces her to be. 2nd, she is making it obvious around the neighborhood that something about her husband has changed and she is happy about it which both raises suspicions about what he may be doing and gives her cover if anything happens to him.

chiyash

lmao didnt they say 2 eps back to please stop recommendations

Kelsey

Hye-Jeong (flight attendant) and Jae-Joon (baby daddy) didn't have a romantic relationship prior to this episode, but Hye-Jeong has been crushing on him hard since episode 1. It makes total sense that she would just ditch her fiance for a chance to be with him now

Betsy

Aww that's interesting. Thanks for the little tidbit. I'll keep that in mind haha Also, I have some more poems for you if you would like to see them. I just finishes rewriting it and editing it some because they were older from my college years and were typed. So, I transferred them over to my Notes in my phone. I'll post it on our thread of Yeon-jin looking like the Smiley Titan. Or I guess it would be better to do it on here probably 😂

Betsy

Aww that's sad, Ashley😢 She definitely made a huge impact with her acting in this show and I'm sure with a lot others. I can see why she's considered a veteran actress. So memorable... even if she plays an unlikable character. She gave it her all in channeling her character.

Mim

Oh!! I thought drug users bleached their hair because it can help evade a hair follicle drug test

S Moonchild⁷

That as well, but it doesn’t help that much. They can still see drugs in the body

Mina E.D

It probably also mostly had to do with taking something that yeonjin "had". Cause hyejong has no identity outside her trying to belong in the upper class

Rubyjane

Is it today?

floo

💃🪄

Betsy

Can't wait for episode 14!! I i love this show.

Rubyjane

Can't waaait

Mim

I see… taking notes for when it’s my time.. just kidding

S Moonchild⁷

hopefully you won't ever need it haha

~Mercedeez Lee~

I know it may surprise you guys but Moons mother isn’t even the worse one you’ll find in Kdrama, they can get so much worse

❣️ Vladlena ❣️

I loveeeee Yeo-Jeong and Do-Yeong’s conversation while they are playing Go! They represent two points of view on the idea of revenge. Do-Yeong thinks it’s better to forget and move on, but Yeo-Jeong, being a victim himself, understands that sometimes forgiveness is not an answer, and victims need to take revenge on their predators — only then can they find peace!
“Some regain those things through forgiveness, while others regain them through revenge. Only then can they reach the starting point.” — chef’s kiss line!

❣️ Vladlena ❣️

17:19 — “He always gotta shhhhh” — I think it’s a common Korean speaking style! 23:15 — “I like her fit right now, not gonna lie.” — Cannon, you became a traitor 😅 30:12 — “I can’t believe she called off the engagement.” — Hye-Jeong always wanted Jae-Jun in the first place! So for her it was an easy decision.

❣️ Vladlena ❣️

Honestly, I was waiting for your reaction to Hye-Jeong’s boobs scene, and you didn’t disappoint 👍 I was also like wtf?!

❣️ Vladlena ❣️

42:02 — Carter with disapproval: “A place far away?”
Me: I mean… he didn’t lie 😅 The prison really is far away from where they live! 42:40 — “Because it’s 100 now.”
Carter’s impressed and approving face 🔥🔥🔥 43:00 — Your reaction to their hug was amazing! I was touched too by how she hugged him first, because she could see he needed comfort! It’s really a good step, just like McKay said!

❣️ Vladlena ❣️

46:34 — I’m glad you all shared the hate I felt towards Dong-Eun’s mother! She’s the worst! 49:47 — McKay’s “I’m gonna walk out of here” was so relatable in that scene! 50:34 — McKay’s disgusting face sent me 😅 But yes, this crazy mother really does look like the devil! I was terrified too. 52:03 — I agree with Carter. The mother is worse than Joffrey! She’s insufferable! She did the worst to her only child. Your comment in the post-discussion was so hilarious! I totally relate to your anger, disgust, and intolerance toward this crazy woman! And when you repeated the scene with ‘Burn to death together,’ I just couldn’t 😂😂😂

Somnia

The nude scene featured CGI boobs. The actress probably didn't want to go topless, though she gave other reasons why she didn't do it for real. Ironically the actress that plays Yeon Jin did 2 nude scenes early in her career but didn't suffer any stigma, they were indie type historical settings.
