Guys, One Piece does connect a lot of dots throughout the story but please DON'T think that everything HAS to tie in. Sometimes it's just an isolated thing, sometimes it's just some fun, and that's completely fine. It's the longest story ever and not a 12 episode show

It’s good. So good. I think current One Piece has finally edged it out for me, though. The last couple arcs have just been bangers. The animation quality and direction might have something to do with that though.

Franky did not need Robin for Pluton. Robin is the key to find all other ancient weapons including the already existing Pluton. Franky had the blueprints for Pluton in case Robin helped the world government to find the existing one, so they could build another one to counter it.

Yea I’d have to remember how it compares to the manga but I remember the first arc being brutal to get through. I thought most of it wasn’t canon content tho and people recommend just a portion or so. But then second arc is fire and onward it’s just great. Still hoping for a remake that follows the manga better with today’s animation. But honestly that show would pop off. Sorry. Ranting. Just so good

Yeah I think KHR was just supposed to be a comedy but it went the direction of action shonen after the first arc. idk if it's confirmed or not but a while ago there was talk about it potentially getting a remake one day.

The scene I’m referring to is not one they mention in the reaction. That sort of comment I made is something many people would have pointed out when this bull scene first came out in the anime/manga. This doesn’t come from hindsight, it’s just being attentive to content that came out before this. Other reactors have brought up the same scene when they watched this ep for the first time. And @saki all I did was encourage them to recall the scene themselves, didn’t even tell them what it was lol. That’s less than what a weekly reader/watcher at the time would have said to their fellow weekly reader/watcher haha 🤷‍♂️.

Oh 10000000% honestly these small goofy moments in early One Piece are what made me fall in love with the anime and characters. I’m caught up with the anime at the moment but I still go back to early episodes to re watch the crew joking around cuz I felt like I didn’t appreciate these small moments enough on my first watch.

Especially when it comes to the Straw Hats cuz people tend to forget Luffy, Usop, Nami are literally 16/17 years old. Chopper is even younger I think 15 if I remember correctly so yeah obviously they will be joking around and have a lot of unserious moment as any teenager would

Luffy is such a menace when you look at him from the Marine or even from like regular civilians POV. Some little boy from the East blue went from a no name to having the highest bounty in the East Blue in the course of 2 weeks, made it to the Grand Line, won against a warlord, picked a fight with the world government, escaped a buster call, fought and won against a second war lord and I won’t even mention his other feats that the world hasn’t heard of like the whole Skypiea arc and mind you all of this in the course of like weeks? Maybe a couple months at most. Luffy is literally speed running his journey to the One Piece after skipping the tutorial and throwing some “ random” ;) side quests here and there to keep things interesting.

Surely when you guys finish my hero and have more watch space we go to 3x2 of one piece a week. Feel like it’s needed to progress through the show a bit more especially with these upcoming arcs. Yeah facts, I was a little surprised they gave my hero 6 a week when One Piece is so much longer and has been on the patreon for ages, but probably just cause they're enjoying it so much. either way yeah 6 a week would get us moving so much more consistently through the coming arcs where momentum really adds to the experience
