Alanin_8💜

Lesgoooo!!! PEAK Dark Hero arc has begun!!!

Ksweets

technically the school year has moved since we’re in april now, however due to everything school is kind of paused, at least at UA it is odd that those guys are now considered 3rd years because i’m pretty sure they were originally 2nd

지원

yes~

Alex Ramirez

5:00 Yes, they are 3rd years. They were 2nd years when they were introduced back in the provisional hero license exam arc. Deku finished his 1st year at U.A. at the end of season 5. After the Paranormal Liberation War arc (the first arc of this season) they entered into their 2nd year. (Maybe they entered their 2nd school year before the war arc, I'm not 100% sure).

JevCor

lets gooo

JevCor

or don't since its going to show spoilers

jed d'angelo

I have a Displate in my office of Deku over looking the city in this new solo hero outfit and honestly his drip might be some of my favorite OAT, sorry Cannon but his drip has always been a W since season 3

kai

you guys might be the only ones i’ve heard say they dont like deku’s costume

Starman517

The costume is goated

Belly

i hate when people say deku is a vigilante. like he has a hero license, what he’s doing isn’t illegal.

Sam Davis

HERE WE FUHKN GOOOOO!!

Sam Davis

Also FUHK OP don't mention trash in this glorious divine amazingness that's MHA

Alex Ramirez

The guy that looks like Deku and turtle girl are NOT 2nd years anymore.

stako

Deku’s Mom is a Top 10 Anime Mom

goblin.bones

The millisecond impact frame of "SMASH" when he hits muscular the first time 😭🔥 always love the little details from bones!

McKay Carter

You guys?! I do not claim this

Patrick Bateman

Holyyyy. We eating good tonight!! MHA, Stranger Things, and OP live action.

All might

Mr. Snipe still pretending he's not secretly quirkless

Calen

His costume goes hard. And I feel like it gets slept on (by them, when they throw shade at it) that it's a big part of his Origin - made by his mother (something he has in common with Superman), has a large smiling mouth and bunny ears (symbolizing All Might's constant smile and his hairstyle), evolves over time as he matures, finds his own way, and becomes his own hero, not just someone who is trying to emulate All Might in every way.

Nanami's Wife

Deku's new depression costume is harddddd. I've seen some really good edits and cosplays of this specific costume online too

Tyler

I love that he brought back muscular it's such a good frame of reference to show just how much stronger Deku has gotten, in the first fight he almost died defeating him and now it's just one clean punch

Lexzc

Well that license is provisional,so according to the law hes not at the same level as a fully licensed pro hero,so he is kinda acting like a vigilante, hes a kid who didnt even finished his studies and got properly registered as a pro hero,he dropped out of school and went straight in to the streets to beat people up based on his criteria,he has no public presence so people dont really know who he is,which leads to confusion and questions the validity of the laws stablished, yes hes working with other pro heroes, but since theres no functional system at the moment to supervise them its not done properly,he dosnt even presents himself as a hero either, which leads to people seeing him as another threat, and in a state of public distrust in heroes it only makes things worse since it affects the sentiment towards the hero system and motivates people to act more by themselves which leads to more collateral damage due to untrained people using their quirks. Nothing is ever black or white, but looking at the situation the entire country is in,you cant just say hes not doing anything illegal, becase he is,but not everything hes doing is illegal either, hes dangerously dancing through both sides of the spectrum. TLDR: Hes acting like a vigilante but is being backed up by proheroes.

Calen

For the record, I said "them", because I'm not trying to call anyone out. I'm not crashing out about it. If you dislike it, that's fine. Just explaining why I think it's perfect for his character.

kai

the lovely LADY NAGANT

Gustavo Reis

Will you guys watch the other two movies? The next should be My Hero Academia: World Heroes Mission. It takes place between the intern training in Endeavor's agency and before the current arc. The last one is My Hero Academia: You're Next. This one you could watch between S7 Episode 142 and S7 Episode 143. Both movies don't affect the main story, but the have some amazing fight scenes.

All might

Sorry I’m loving that the commentary just turned into All Might glaze 😭😭😭 and Cannon is just silent like someone in mourning. Too real guys. I think we alll miss him.

Alanin_8💜

My Queen Lady Nagant is here!!!

maria⁷

yall my wife is here!! 😋

JevCor

maybe after they catch up, not worth pausing for.

All might

I think most ppl are hoping they wait to watch the movies

stako

Can’t wait for the binges.

Bri

We’re finally getting emo deku!

akirasuzuki

Thank you for mentioning that Midoriya is the chosen one to have those quirks and that he's always been writing/studying about them 😭🥺 it def shows how smart he has always been!

Matt C

That was before the reaction started, I think they started to fw it after seeing his look more during the reaction

Cat

Think they said at least 10,000 prisoners escaped caus of AFO, 130 liberation front still at large and commission has pretty much broken down. I think even All Might would need more than a few days to round them all up. The heroes are just severly understaffed atm 😂 Poor Deku's working overtime

Brady

I dont know why u guys hate on the costume so hard yeah its pretty average but this arc they go all out with it and i think from here on out deku looks pretty dripped

Brady

Also the thing is his powers are so extravagant/interesting they make up for the more basic design

Hayden Ton

we need another binge man.

Dub_quinn

I’m glad y’all are vibing with the new fit! It’s different than what we’re used to but I could tell y’all saw the potential in the ragged fit. Really makes it look like he’s been on the move everyday since leaving UA

All might

they said in the vid they're doing 1 or 2 more

Amanda Reutermo

jack: "she looked so... harmless." mckay: looks at jack like he just said that lemillion is trash

Dakota

Was waiting for the scene that showed the cape being Gran Torino's. Glad you guys didn't put it together beforehand lol. Lady Nagant! She's so cool.

Riley

FR

M1GZ

Ok class so your first assignment of the second year will be going to war 😂good luck

Alex Ramirez

I hope they got a good grade for all the trauma 😭🙏

M1GZ

Now that it’s April it’s officially been a year at UA so they’re technically class 2A now just doesn’t feel like a new school year because there first assignment of the year was go to war lol.

Ana

This arc is so good. I shed a tear during the hospital scene 😭😭 Dark deku is a menace Lady nagant is such a baddie can’t wait for the next episode

M1GZ

I mean that would be even more impressive no?

M1GZ

End of this season along side 7x5-11 are very bingeable

Kyle Gentles

So funny, the mask is my favorite part. Not the hood but the "neck guard".

Jess

such an interesting part of the show, love the dark vibes

Aby

I understand all the All Might glazing, but I think it kinda makes you miss the point. All Might was an amazing hero, but it wasn’t sustainable. Even All Might himself was crumbling from ignoring several medical issues from pushing himself too far and kept going. While that is admirable and heroic, it just shows that no one can be All Might, not even All Might himself. What you’re saying is true. If All Might was still there, maybe not all the villains would’ve had the courage to go against hero society. But if All Might the symbol never existed, hero society wouldn’t have collapsed so suddenly when he ultimately couldn’t take it anymore — which would’ve happened even if he didn’t give up his quirk, due to his injuries and self-destruction. All Might is a great hero, a great person that lowered crime rates, but the show portrays him as part of the problem that caused all this. He contributed to Shigaraki being ignored by everyone when he was a small child covered in blood. It’s because of him that there was an over reliance on heroes in the first place. Everyone relied on him and now that he’s gone, they’re faced with the reality of heroes’ humanity. Like I said previously: the All Might in everyone’s eyes isn’t a real person. No one can be All Might. Not even All Might.

Jess

wow said perfectly, All Might was absolutely amazing but unsustainable

Tivy

I think the simplicity of Deku’s costume mirrors his character. In the very first episode, people call him “plain” and “awkward." His suit begins that way too, basic and and unfinished. But just like Deku himself, it grows through every step of his journey. His quirk gave him an escape from middle school where he was bullied and denied his dreams, and with UA, mentors, and friends, he was given a chance to show who he truly is and to build himself into a hero. His costume reflects that growth. What begins as awkward and unpolished slowly gains support, upgrades, and meaning, until it carries the weight of his entire journey. Now in his vigilante era, the costume is torn just like his current emotional and physical state. It’s no longer just gear, but a symbol of everything he’s endured. He literally carries Gran Torino’s words on his shoulders, wearing that cape as burden and resolve to “settle the score with the League of Villains.”

Saggy

these next 5 episodes need to be dropped together 😭😭

Tivy

You explained this point really well

joursh

VIGILANTE DEKU AYEEEEE LOCK IN CHAT its boutta get real crazy from here

joursh

very well said

Evan

I’m glad yall are giving My Hero and Deku their props. I’ve been a fan of this show and defender since season 1 and having seen anime “haters” love My Hero and even having thoughts of a rewatch is so validating. Thanks Gek boys! Can’t wait for more as usual.

Synyster

hype hype hype

Violet833

I find that funny that he said she looked harmless when she was in prison, like the worst prison.

Hafsa

DEKU DEFENDER TILL THE DAY I D I E

Drew

Deku's aura this arc is unmatched

cade-carter

Anyone can potentially use multiple quirks, its just when u get to 4 or more does it truly become hinder you. Having more than 1 though will adversely affect you with enough time. Also All for one and one for all came into being with the adaptations necessary to handle multiple quirks

Cannon Andrus

We aren’t missing the point don’t worry

Yam

Do 6x 21-22-23 next and then 24-25 pleaseeee TuT Also, please watch all might's rising ova its only 2 mins long.

86 LilaS

Lady Nagant is so cool! I see you guys are neck deep in League speak now.

Vextipher

Give me Air Walk and I'll never lose a game of The Floor is Lava.

joursh

we're so making the floor is lava in minecraft

joursh

mid lane yone

86 LilaS

Yes, All Might in his prime probably could have cleaned everything up quickly, but it’s also because he took everything on himself that hero society got complacent and ended up the way it is now. Through no fault of his own, it’s just an unfortunate side effect. Civilians and heroes took him for granted, thinking that even if they failed All Might would be able to fix it in the end. Everyone, but Endeavor, was content to stay behind him.

Jack

True, did he truly have an affect and change hero society or did he just do what everyone else was unwilling to do and it stayed that way

Jack

Lady Nagant cooked

Ciara

Bro istg I said shikamaru right before canon😭

Noelle

To clear up some confusion ya'll had about time skips: there was no skip between deku waking up in the hospital and then going out on the streets to start fighting solo. There was however, a time skip between season 5 work study arc and the season 6 battle arc. At the end of season 5 a character says by the time the flowers are blooming we'll be second years. Then we see the cherry blossoms as class A is gathering to head out to battle as part of their work study duties. We also see a couple flashbacks during the battle that show deku training float and blackwhip during this time skip and you're supposed to infer that during this skip is when he trained OFA to 45% from it's previously 20%. And yes, the Ketsubetsu students are third years. Everyone in the provisional license exam were second years at the time besides class A and the wind guy, and they've also moved up grades since that time.

86 LilaS

Both. The hero career path was still fairly new when All Might was young and much more hazardous. He said he felt that a symbol was needed because of how unsafe the world was at the time. After he became that symbol, it glamorized the career and became a safe pick path where you’re pretty much guaranteed a job and a safety net (All Might) even if you fail.

Pavlo

Hawks’ wings arent gone

Belen Anh

Deku vigilante is here!!!

cara

ykw guys lets just binge the rest of the season fr...

kai

Moon

Izuku's vigilante arc features not only his improved control and mastery over his quirk(s) but also an upgrade in the costume department (though a lot of its edginess and cool elements comes from how filthy and ragged his equipment is). I'll be honest, Izuku looks wayyyyy cooler in the manga, especially for this arc. I'll never forget that iconic one full page panel of him in all his vigilante glory. Also, one thing to note is that ever since the end of the Paranormal Liberation War arc, and since Izuku has woken up, his voice has lost that excited spark and high-pitched quality he used to have. Every time his confidence and his capability as a hero grew, his voice kept dropping in tone compared to when we first see him. And it's becoming much closer to how he sounds like when he's narrating his story from the future. This also applies to when he's saying his iconic moves. Take Ep 19's fight with Muscular for example, when he says "Detroit Smash", he says it calmly, with no trace of the desperate shouting he used to do even in life/death situations (like his first fight with Muscular in S3). His development as a person AND as a hero is evident, but the slow decline in the amount of emotion in his inner thoughts and voice always saddens me. My boy was told to keep his emotions in check, to "control your heart", by the fifth user of One For All (Banjo, the holder of Blackwhip) when he first appeared, and that's what he's doing. But it does make you wonder where that hero fanatic who always rambles excitedly about quirks and how they might be used has retreated to. The mission he must complete is so heavy on his shoulders that he doesn't even have time to be a proper teenager. Unlike everyone else his age, he doesn't even have time to sit and eat a leisurely meal or NOT worry about someone coming after his life. And All Might understands the burden he's carrying. That's why he worries about him. He finally gets what Nighteye was saying, because Nighteye was worried about him the same way he now worries about Izuku. But unlike back then, when he had a choice to walk away and retire but didn't, he realises that Izuku doesn't have that same choice. He can't walk away from this mess anymore. So he helps in ways that he can, like bringing Izuku food, because he isn't eating well (how could he when danger sense keeps going off at irregular intervals and he has to keep pushing himself to round up villains while acting as bait for All For One's lackeys?) This arc is just depressing overall, minus the epic moments from the fights of course. It really shows how Japan has been plunged into unimaginable disaster after the war.

Aby

@Cannon Great :) Interesting discussion, as always.

Hegataro

It's crazy that all it took for Deku's goofy costume to look cool is a bit of wear'n'tear and desaturation

Voskar

We are approaching PEAK. Season 7 will mess with you. Also the background music in seven is so god damn good. Its on AOT level for shure. I love that you guys love MHA like i do. Is such a good show with immense feelings. I cannot understand why its reputation is not so good

ace

wait i forgot when they are supposed to open the next present but if it’s at the beginning of season 7 then im so excited bc i can guess who it is

Alanin_8💜

Im glad they recognized the gauntlets from the movie, while they're not the same as the old ones since they were only for one of his arms. These new ones the "mid gauntlets" support his whole body

Kayanolive

It felt so refreshing to have something different then this damn blue sky all the time. they finally changed the tone of the show, hope they do that more often (manga reader here so idk yet)

Kayanolive

This is in manga was drawn like a batman comic at times. the author went ALL OUT so if yall have any time and boredom to spare look at this arc in the manga. really sick stuff

Jasmin☆

gran torino really gave his cape to deku and said go get your get back

Jayden

People hate on it for no reason, as if it’s not one of the best new gens

bigdog

SO GOOD

Vera

After this arc you guys should definitely read the manga cus the art of this arc goes DIABOLICALLY HARD

Juanca

Super hyped for the new season (I already finished the manga). Honestly, I really hope people who dropped MHA a few seasons back give it another shot. I feel like a lot of them would enjoy how the story has turned out.

katsuki’s wife

from here on Horikoshi’s panels are sooo good, definitely one of my favourite modern mangakas in terms of drawing and art style

bondbond53

This problem would've always happened because All Might could never maintain this forever unless he went beyond human into a Nomu which would defeat the initial purpose and spirit of The Symbol of Peace. The way in which all hope was put on him is the reason we are here today. And yes All Might would've cleaned the city of villains but what would that solve in the very long run since the reason people like Shigaraki were ignored is because of the mentality that "somebody else will help, a hero". I am not blaming All Might for anything. he did the best he could and he absolutely revolutionised society and gave it hope but this issue was bound to happen the minute The Symbol of Peace appeared

Dub_quinn

Start of E22, so still season 6

Dub_quinn

The lovely lady nagant 💜💙 Jack’s epic look to camera after Hawks said she was his senior and to run away as fast as you can. I’m impressed they recall seeing her from the prison break too, it took a rewatch for me to catch it

Dub_quinn

I love that Cannon is vibing with the surprise box while Carter thinks the box is menacingly sitting there 😂 y’all are so close to opening lol

Dub_quinn

McKay’s in a black shirt, but it doesn’t hit the same as the black Koda shirt 😭

jrnoodles

Thanks Geks! Emo Deku is a little bit cringe, but he gets the job done

Dub_quinn

The geks calling the 2nd vestige Bakugo and 3rd vestige Shikamaru had me laughing, and then Cannon saying the pork cutlet looks so good lol 😂

Dub_quinn

I can’t stand people trying to make Endeavor responsible for crimes that aren’t his or the societies slip back into chaos, he has a lot of responsibility to bear in his family things, but some things he’s getting blamed for has nothing to do with him. The misdirected anger of the civilians irritates me since they should really be upset with AFO, but in a way I guess focus on Endeavor makes good cover for Deku to not be pulled into the hate. It’s all just a mess rn

cozo

ever since you guys started mha i've been most hyped for this arc 😭 its so peak

KitCat509

yeah thats Gran Torino's cape

cozo

it was really only cannon and he seemed to be changing his mind as he saw more vigilante deku 😭

I’m Maya

When kpop reactions ???

Ashlee

Omg yes Lady Nagant!!! One of the coolest characters in the show 🙌🏾🔥

cozo

we weren't lying when we said mha and one piece were boutta cook in the comments 😭 this is the first time i've watched every show and anime you guys are reacting to currently, generational run rn ngl

Dub_quinn

McKay saying no way she can catch up, to then be shook by Lady Nagant’s curved bullet lol

Q

Hawks is draymond green

Dub_quinn

So true, Deku’s voice did get deeper. And Deku and All Might’s relationship has had a shift as things have gotten more serious

Dub_quinn

Yeah I’ve been wondering if on Oct. 4th if we’ll get the last of S7 or if we’ll get the start of S8

Moon

@Dub_quinn Yepp it really goes to show how far Izuku has come (both in good ways and not-so-good ways...)

Dub_quinn

The gek analysis at the end of Deku’s experience, Hawk’s skill type, Edgeshot’s quirk, and All Might’s power is solid. I can’t wait for the S6 recap discussions, I really hope they go over their current fav characters 🙏

Swish Mix Productions

If y’all want to split the episodes into the 6 slots left I think yall should do 21-25, 1-6, 7-11, 12-15, 16-19, and 20-21.

Chrisbaby

Where’s brig been?

Jenny D

He left the channel a few months back after getting a new job.

Jenny D

Great episodes. I do miss seeing Deku with the rest of the class. But, what they are doing is smart.

idcjayyy
>>187594088

How is Deku "emo" or "cringe"? He has 2 nation level threats after him, hundreds of rampant criminals causing havoc. His friends are all in danger. I think his attitude is perfectly suitable for what's going down...

All might

Pretty sure danger sense didn't go off because she was aiming at his phone and not him

kai

this might be the best way for them to catch up in time

patricia jimjimcherie

The 2nd and 3rd are deadass Bakugo and Kirishima LOL Hawks looks so good with the shorter hair, and always right beside his fave Endeavor. He's so me.

Nami Swannn

AFO having Overhaul right infront of him and not taking his quirk despite that being the one that would literally solve all his problems 😭…for a mastermind he sure is dumb sometimes

Nami Swannn

I love how everything is always spoken in LeBron terms, the goat fr 🫂

JevCor

lol what

Albin Limani

The GOAT himself Erwin Smith is finally here. The voice actor for the second user of One for All is Daisuke Ono, the VA of Erwin.

Albin Limani

Horikoshi's pen evolved to GOAT levels at this time. Some of the panels he draws from now on are genuinely some of the best manga panels ever.

Violet833

Deku has come such a long way from breaking his bones everytime from using his powers to now using 45% and using multiple quirks. I feel like a proud mom 😭.

katsuki’s wife

After a long day of work, evening PhD classes, driving through horrendous traffic, getting home late, taking a shower, and having a late dinner, I’m finally in my cozy bed ready to watch this reaction video. I wonder if the geks realize how much their content can wrap up someone’s day in such a positive and fulfilling way.

cozo

so true

Daniella

That flashback memory of Nighteye telling All Might to rest because he just knows what it's like to push yourself too much and the consequences of that...can't wait for these next episodes i can objectively say it's peak

Ayo

i agree

Violet833

Also I love lady nagant's theme!

Niko

nagant is so bad bruh

Sam Davis

Sorry boys had to cut my watch short last night but we back!! Again

Sam Davis

Ketsubutsu is back baby!!

Sam Davis

My mans Muscular makes his return!!

Sam Davis

Deku vs Muscular Round 2 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Sam Davis

Oh this is Scary Deku time no more nice Izuku out here

M1GZ

I like this

M1GZ

Also the people just don't know what we know they're pretty much in the dark.

M1GZ

such a cringe comment lol

Sam Davis

My boy Izuku out here making LIGHT WORK of a guy who almost killed him a few months ago

M1GZ

The art in mha has always been AMAZING hope the boys check out some of the more popular panels once they catch up.

Sam Davis

MHA loves to just punch us right in the feels

Sam Davis

Remember when we all hated Endeavor? Now it just makes you kinda pity him and feel bad for him

Sam Davis

That badass Lady Nagant has joined the match!

Sam Davis

AFO is a fuhkn giant of a man!

Sam Davis

Boys just smash out the rest of S6.. trust me you'll love it

Violet833

Honestly I didn't realize how huge he was 😭

Belly

it’s cuz he’s normally only next to all might who is huge too 😭

Kayla

I can't wait for you guys to react to the battle !!! Cya in a couple of days🙌

Neptunestar79

THIS ARC IS SO COOL, I LOVE THE WAY BEST JEANIST HOLDS HIS PHONE

Neptunestar79

Gran Torino giving Deku his cape is so sick

Neptunestar79

THE LOVELY LADY NAGANT!! HER HAIR MAKES HER HAVE SUCH A COOL CHARACTER DESIGN

Neptunestar79

Every single episode from now on has just the most insane stuff

Cannon Andrus

Thanks for telling us this, it makes us so happy to hear!!!

Nashi

Doesn't make sense

Nashi

It's the way he is presented not the way he acts

magik carpet

How does that not make sense? It's been established that the quirk senses intentions.

JulioLG

SUSUMEEEEEEE Sorry, mandatory comment if the GOAT is mentioned 💪💪

JulioLG

😱 never thought about that one!

Lil Zoro Vert

Shoutout to you guys for trying to catch up to when the season drops cos I don’t think it’d be a big issue if yall caught up by like episode 3 when it airs

Whatamidoingwithmylife

If you do a mini binge for season seven again, make it episode 1-11 :). Thank me later. Anyways, no matter what you do, make sure you'll end a streaming session on episode 11 :). You're welcome!

Goatcheezey

I don't know if anybody has mentioned it but their post episode discussion about Hawks and Endeavor was giving me heavy Kuroko's Basketball vibes... Which I think they should 100% watch at some point.

Goatcheezey

And to add onto their sports analogy Hawks is the Kevin De Bruyne of the verse. Goated and will elevate anybody you put him with.

StrayRonin

Dudeee they would go crazy over Kuroko’s

Zaptozz88

Love the Reaction guys, Watching from Norway at 20:21 now, love rewatching this with ya'll <3 New Binge Lets Gooo

lissa

off topic but does anyone know what happened with kaiju no 8, did they drop it?

maria⁷

guys is the next drop scheduled to drop today?🧍🏻‍♀️

Violet833

It's on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays

Tivy

Ahhh okay I was waiting for a drop today too. Idk why I thought it was MWF lol

Sickness

They are planning on dropping everything in time for MHA season 8 to start correct? They have a couple weeks left to get through the rest of this season and the entire season 7. They might need to do a binge watch drop again

Kytan

agreed 11 is a great stopping point

Jeremy

They're planning to do 1 or 2 binges to catch up

Christian

I’m really hoping they just finish season 6 today

Stairguy

Episode ONE THOUSAND????? That is diabolical. I at least waited until the episode was soon because I didn’t know how long the mail would take. But 500 episodes early is crazy work

Stairguy

Season 7 binge is coming. And it’s the best season to binge in all seriousness

Sickness

PLEASSEEEE I NEED MY MHA FIX BRO. pleassseee drop the episodes. Im in withdrawal cause I can't get my MHA drugs

1999

I didn't think it was possible for someone to hold a phone weirder than L from Death Note but Best Jeanist just did

2danimehoe

I read bark Deku and I laughed 😂

Ggg

im gonna send them somthing they cant open until they adapt tht part of the manga

Kuro

I think they tried to fit it in but they were pumping out too many shows
