joursh

DROPKICK THE BABY BAKUGO

joursh

PEEEEAAAAAAAKKKKKKKK SOOO PEAAKK

justin

finally

Neptunestar79

Okay the episode hasn’t started yet, does anyone know when estimated chapters 417-419 will be animated?? That will be an insane episode

Ksweets

not much lore it’s usual fandom implosion equation, the power scalers are mad at the shippers, the shippers were mad at the power scalers and eveyone eventually just got mad at themselves and snuffed eachother out

kate

i'm so excited i've been waiting 😛🙏

kate

this show has ruined my sleep schedule so bad it's not even funny 😔

Neptunestar79

SO THATS WHY HE WAS GLOWING?? So, he killed the baby, and stole his quirk. Then during the battle with Allmight was rewound to the time he stole it? CRAZY

Shio

I WAS WAITING FOR YOU GUYS LET'S GOOOOOOOOO

suzy

I swear I have a life 😭 *literally watched the moment it dropped*

Error445

1pm in uk let’s go

Hobatty

Answering the question, the majority of the fandom back in 2020 were just teenagers being corny and cringe, plus there was the shipping, but it wasn’t that bad in my opinion. People just like to hate.

Miitei

You guys dropping this at 6am (for me) and me woking up just to watch it reminds me of when I was a kid and used to woke up at 5:30am to watch anime since was the only day I could watch in local TV channels. Love you guys for that ❤️

Hobatty

bakugoat my baby look at how cute he is😭

Error445

Bro you don’t even want the fandom lore it was so bad like a few years ago

Neptunestar79

Yoichi didn’t even get a chance to be a hero…

Neptunestar79

This makes me realize how much I love kudo

justin

not sure why the subtitles didn't say this, but the reason all for one was glowing was because he killed and stole the quirk from the glowing baby

Kim 555

random question but what are the two days you're most likely to post Stranger Things on after the change from 3 episodes a week to 2 episodes a week? like if there was no problems or delays of course

Swish Mix Productions

Bakugos howitzer impact was a direct reference to All Mights US OF SMASH animation and story wise. PEAK

joursh

pretty sure the subtitles are just wack here, but all for one was saying that he killed the golden baby and stole his quirk. thats why he was glowing lol

Neptunestar79

A couple years ago this is not how I would expect all for one to die, but it made me laugh.

kai

that flashback finally getting animated really showed how much of a menace AFO was

Neptunestar79

Bakugo doing the Allmight pose will always be a highlight

Neptunestar79

This episode has gone by the quickest by far. WHERE DID THE TIME GO?

JevCor

The fandom ate itself alive and split off to other shows, JJK especially got a lot of the cringe tiktokers that people started hating MHA for. There are still annoying ones here but the tide definitely turned around season 5 when the casuals dropped off.

Neptunestar79

Ep 3 gotta be the best so far, but the other ones rank way up there too

Ksweets

soemthing to consider with all for one… characters like toga and bakugo show us that quirks can have an impact on your personality. a person born with the power to take things is probably going to have a greedy personality by nature

jed d'angelo

So the reason the fandom is hated is becuase a lot of them are/were very cringy. I think since then things have changed but yes they werent the best (mainly shipping underage characters with adult characters. Yes that includes Deku x All Might) However there are a lot of other reasons like “kids show” “not dark enough” “new gen anime fans” you name it MHA fans were accused of it. A lot of it wasnt a big deal at the start but it kinda became a meme to trash on the show too. So thats the short story but yes the fandom has always been hated and the show was memed so it became a sespool of hatred. (Funny how thats exactly what the show is about in a sense lol. People being degraded or bullied or hurt for something they enjoy only for someone to then stand up for whats right)

~Mercedeez Lee~

AFO was such a greedy individual, even while he was cooking in the oven like man that is just one insane villian. Being born evil is pretty rare, that is like some horror type storytelling but it’s what makes him very compelling. On another note, I kinda had a feeling Hawks wasn’t going to get his quirk back but it made me feel sad that he is now quirk-less permanently. It sucks

jed d'angelo

It was bad lmao shipping Deku x Bakugo who are both underage or Dekux All Might and making explicit content to be put on the hub is pretty bad.

cozo

HOW DO THESE EPISODES KEEP GETTING BETTER 😭 so peak

Valde

THAT'S WHY HE'S THE GOATTT

kai

im not even gone lie afo might be the biggest narcissist ever this mf was killing people and stealing quirks all cause he wanted to he glazed 💀

Hobatty

I agree with you, but the majority of the fandom were underage too, lol. There were some monstrous and "call the police" ships, yes, but shipping has always existed, so if it’s not your first fandom, that’s to be expected.

Lightning789

wanted to touch on what was mentioned in the beginning for a minute A lot of the bad parts of the fandom comes from toxic shipping wars. this show has a large cast of diverse characters, and it lead to people aggressively arguing over which character pairs with what (deku x uraraka, deku x bakugo). horikoshi has made it clear that romance was never meant to be a central part of the story. He’s even mentioned in interviews that he intentionally avoided including romantic elements because he wanted My Hero Academia to focus on, you know, just the show itself? (heroism, growth, and the struggles of becoming a symbol of peace). not on relationships. Despite this, many fans still projected romantic expectations onto the characters, which fueled arguments and “ship wars” another thing, MHA is very popular and attracted to a large very young audience, who are extremely expressive for their love of the show (i imagine a lot of this takes place on tiktok though i dont really know, i dont use it lol). and that expression leads to "cringe" role playing, OC creations, etc. and overall, this leads to the general perception that MHA is meant to be "cringe" and immature. it leads to preconceived notions created by the popular fandom because of its outspoken, usually younger, audience. and it muddies the perception of the actual content. i can imagine its even confusing for you guys, since you're just watching the show from beginning to end and enjoying it for what it is. basically, a loud part of the fandom ended up impacting a show's image for a while, so there's probably a lot of people who haven't actually watched mha, associating it with fan drama then what the show actually represents. at least thats my take on it, anyone feel free to correct me if im wrong

mina

if at the beginning of the show you asked, "which one of these mha characters do you think is most likely to kill a baby". everybody would've guessed right for the wrong reason HAHAHAHHAHAA

Alanin_8💜

Shipping wars and alot of cringe stuff the fandom used to do. That's the general consensus that non mha fans have had of this fandom for many years...sadly they're not wrong at times

mina

YES HOLY THAT WAS SO GOOD

IQLou

LETS GOOOOOOOOO

IQLou

LMFAO

JevCor

Legendary run man. I'm ready for MORE.

lexis

i think the main issue that caused the fandom hate was how huge the show got during covid and all of the ship wars that came from it. Basically “ship defenders” tearing each other apart and ruining the the enjoyment for casual viewers sadly

lexis

so glad HES FINALLY GONEE !!

Alanin_8💜

So AFO went and killed the glowing baby who had gained a massive following for being the first documented meta human so AFO took the quirk and showed Yoichi

Alex

"How did he get the DNA?"... literally a second before Jack said that you see Yoichi's blood spray all over Kudo's face. So "When did Yoichi give it away?"... that was when he passed it on Canon.

Daniel

SO GOOOD

Chisei19

lets gooooooo

Ayoodude

I wonder how it’s all good end

Zipzzty

Nah fr 💀💀 too bad bro that’s the reason mha still gets hate to this day

JulioLG

And he ended being the origin of THE power that fights against evil, and being in the control room and POV of the one handling the power at its peak... from my point of view justice was made for Yoichi, afterlife, but he ended having a crucial role in saving everyone 💪

Indifferent Denji

I just realized the power afo used to kill yoichi was the one we thought he killed hawks with last season. And its the one that laser nomu had used to twist mirkos arm.

kai

kudo and yoichi truly doomed yaoi from the beginning 😔

JulioLG

the subs were a bit off in several moments, the ones in the ☠️ site I watched were unexpectedly better

JulioLG

nice catch there!

Frida BØ

I’ve never wanted a baby to die this badly or at all before but here we are

Hobatty

DUDE FR LMAO the shipping wars back then were wild! The TikToks still haunt me, but now I think I love them. They're so fucking cringe that they make me nostalgic it actually makes me happy.

Cece

nahh my fav episode from ss8 so far gots to be ep3. Animation just floored me, had me speechless. But gotta say this episode is a good second because all for one died in this one. The relief i had when bakugo killed him was so satisfyingggg. Sighhhh now gotta wait a whole week for the next one. fun reaction, hyped for the next reaction!

kate

DEKU X ALLMIGJT?? i was on a very different side of the fandom (thankfully) omg 😭😭😭

JulioLG

Great comment, thanks for the context! It still really blows my mind how the general opinion on a piece of media can be impacted because of the online behavior of people that watches it, insane. I guess it's the cultural way that young people communicate/interacts since the internet got really really massive. I am aware of the the existence of fandoms, shipping and that stuff (because of younger people I know), but I will continue safely away from it all 😅

Belly

the anime doesn’t mention it but yoichi was with the resistance for 2 months before all for one found him.

JulioLG

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

katsuki’s wife

That’s our goat! Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight

Shio

I love how AFO was finished by Bakugo, the one who lusted for all quirks defeated by the who honed one quirk to its peak

stako

they literally animated Coughing Baby vs Hydrogen Bomb 💀💀

JulioLG

Yeeeeeah best moment of the week, saturday morning!!! Thanks for the instant reaction Studio GOAT! AFO origin story was insane! Also my fav ep would be ep 3 because of the action and because fate was twisted 🤜🤛, but all 4 eps have felt like one! Bakugo achieving the All Might pose would have been too damn epic, but that shows the man gave his all 🔥🔥 Until next week! edit: forgot to mention something I loved about the way AFO ended: same as Voldemort the way everything an evil, greedy person does ends contributing to his demise. Taking Hawks quirk wasn't really neccesary, and that played an important role at the crucial moment, slowing him down for Bakugo to cook him. I love when stories portrays that pure evil villains get cooked (partially or completely) by their own selfish, zero empathetic actions 🤩

ashstxrry

Bakugo and hawks top tier rage baiters

jrnoodles

Thanks! This episode went by so fast!! One quirk is all you need!

Nicole

Izuku said that he saw Bakugou as the "embodiment of victory" back in season 3. That's how he sees him, as literal victory. So it's only fair, from somebody who is all about improving, being the best, being number one, that Bakugou ACTUALLY IS the embodiment of victory. He grew, not only mentally but he's always improving and working towards his goal, and that's what makes him such a great character, and is so loved by many. He is Victory.

ace

BAKUGOAT HOW FAR YOU'VE COME

Daniella

I legit stood up and appluaded that FINALLY that rat is gone then i remembered we still have to defeat Shiggy with all his quirks and Deku's tired asf i'm scared 😭 but MHA is carrying the autumn anime season!!!

Daniella

Also just as the previous comments have said the toxicity comes from certain fans obsessively shipping Deku and Bakugo or BakuDeku together like making very weird videos cosplaying as them. Obviously people are allowed to ship whoever they want, people ship Naruto and Sasuke (that one actually makes sense lol) or Geto and Gojo plus Bakugo and Deku do have a special relationship but there's no romance there. Idk why they went so hard for them like sending death threats to Horikoshi considering Japan's known for not being lgbtq+ positive like actually get real 💀but with the manga now ended it's significantly died down but yeah it was very rough

ace

absolute cinema

Justin ⟢

It seems like I’ve said this almost every episode this season, but the animation quality just keeps getting better and better. Studio Bones man… I literally have no words 😭😭

Neptunestar79

He really did help save the world, I totally agree! I just hoped he could’ve lived longer

Justin ⟢

19:00 I love the parallels between Bakugo’s scene here and All Might’s ‘United States of Smash’ in 3x11. The same animation. Elite callback.

Cat

Exactly. Shipping happens in every fandom and there's always people that take it too far. Can't hate on mha for it and not the others. Doesn't make sense to me

Cat

Think they said rewind doesn't affect his stolen quirks. He was glowing during the fighting caus of Eri's rewind

Miitei

I watched the MHA fandom as an outsider, since I didn't watch the show until S5, so I'll tell you what I saw. A lot of the comments are accurate except the fandom was already considered bad even before 2020 and it was mostly because of cringe. There were shipping wars yes, but that was present in almost every fandom so it wasn't just that. I saw alot of hate directed to the female fans from male fans because the female were "cringe" about the characters specially Bakugo. Eventually people avoided saying that they like MHA because you were view as a "cringe" person. I was part of an anime community back in 2017-2018 and even in in-person meetings you could see people making fun of MHA. I feel like it was most of people finding something to hate on than the fandom being evil or smt 🤣 I do remember there were some rumors of people sending death threats to the author when Bakugo "died" but I don't know if it was true.

Evan

Ooo shit when all for one left Yoichi in the flashback and All For One was glowing, I think he stole the glowing baby’s quirk when the baby was an adult. That’s why he’s glowing and Yoichi is shocked. Also All For One died as a glowing baby? That’s a full circle the size of the globe.

Juanca

Epic! And hopefully in a few hours, another peak reaction/episode (Frieren ep.9)

Hobatty

Yeah! Take Naruto, Dragon Ball, and all the classics, shipping is deeply rooted in fandoms and has always existed. I’d even risk saying that some fandoms only exist because of shipping, so… lol. There are always extreme people, but that happens everywhere.

Benny

There’s so much to unpack in that flash back, I love it. Explaining some of All for One’s quirk origins like the spikes and gold glow, him naming Yoichi, how he kept Yoichi’s hand and that’s why did did the same to Shigaraki’ family, and how All Might punched his face off… And Bakugo getting the peak he deserves.

Night Sterling

My goat beat one of the final bosses 🔥

Morgy

We got ugly baby bakugo!!! Honestly, this was such a good episode and a W for the heroes. Can't wait to see next episode!

Sibi

I'm waiting patiently, and my popcorn is getting cold.

GeliBeans

And they said ‘villains are not born, they are made’… AFO was like ‘oh they are!? I didn’t get the memo.’ Lol he was the most consistent character of all the anime’s I’ve watched. Not a single second in the whole series that we’ve seen him falter from being evil and he was human at that. There was no traumatic experience or any sad back story, just pure evil.

Yue

Bakugou and Hawks the best rage baiters 😂 thank god that psycho baby is gone! These episodes are getting better and better. Bakugou did everything possible. It’s such a dig at AFO that Bakugou’s amazing battle sense and work with his one quirk was the final piece that took him down. Beautiful storytelling. The fandom got really into shipping, which isn’t bad on its own, shipping is part of like every show, but people got really passionate and started attacking others online because of it. Things have calmed down a lot and I think they stay in their own spaces more because of so much toxicity and backlash.

GeliBeans

Anddd we’re now shifting the camera to Izuku vs Shigaraki.

zaphyre

Funnily enough it makes perfect sense that Bakugo would unironically fight a newborn baby

jed d'angelo

So I dont disagree with you about shipping existing and that some shows wouldnt be around without it. My girlfriend is all about the highschool anime dramas so I know how that goes. However I think why people were getting more upset/still are is because unlike other shonen this show is very real compared to our world. Dragon Ball and Naruto are complete fantasy worlds. They dont take place on Earth in Japan with people literally in highschool. The issue isnt the shipping. Its the “lets ship an underage child with their very adult teacher”. While its okay to adore characters and ship them I dont think its okay to draw explicit content of children kissing and far worse. (Mind you this is kids their own age so underage on underage very illegal to draw or watch, then u have the kid plus ADULT. Thats also a very big no no lmao even more illegal) I get what you are trying to say but MHA has ALWAYS had pedo propaganda from the fanbase shippers and I am NOT for that. Keep that stuff away from this HERO based show. Thats all. I wont justify it in anyway so while I get it yes evey fandom has ships. This show is not like those💀 Its a been known issue. Im glad the fandom grew up and was scolded out of doing these things cause its wrong and gross. Sorry not sorry. Thank you for reading my Ted Talk lol.

Violet833

Isn't there still a piece of all for one in shiggy?

Hobatty

No, I totally agree with that. There was some really crazy and even CRIMINAL bullshit going on, and I’m really glad it’s not like that anymore (at least not that I know of).

Dub_quinn

Yeah the hate is unnecessary, but that’s why this is a goated MHA community because we’ve had to be strong enough to stand by it while people just bandwagon hated on it. It’s really dumb, but that’s why the Geks are amazing for giving it a shot! Now people are coming around to it as MHA is ending, and it’s good MHA can get its flowers, nothing makes me cry like MHA

Daniella

yeah i think so but that's been consumed by shiggy so i think he can still steal quirks but there's no more afo consciousness i think :)

Brandon Gomez

the mha fandom was very bad a long time ago but most of those people grew up by now and moved onto shows like hasbin hotel

Brandon Gomez

for example they would send massive hate to the author for making uraraka dekus love interest instead of bakugo

Tivy

I’m kind of newer to MHA too, I first watched it last year and loved it. I didn’t know the specifics about the fandom going in, so I got to experience it with a pretty fresh perspective like you guys. From what I’ve seen though I think most of it stems from quarantine when a lot of people suddenly got into anime and the My Hero community blew up. Some fans took things a little too far, like extreme shipping and just really shameless posts (it was 2020 after all lol). But honestly that was a small part of the internet being loud, not the whole fandom. These days I feel like the community’s mostly normal and full of great fans who genuinely love the show. A few odd ones probably still exist but as long it's not hurting anyone who cares yk?

gw97

how about... watch movies 3 and 4 while waiting for next week's episode 😬

Tee

Guys, just to clear some things up, 1) all for one killed the “Glowing baby” and stole their quirk, which is why he was glowing when he came to talk to his brother 2) Yoichi passed on OFA to Kudo when he died in front of him; his blood splatters on Kudo’s face (and mouth), and he ingests it unknowingly

botanbutton

About MHA fandom: I think it stems from the fact that some overzealous folks in the fandom threatened the the mangaka about ships and whatnot. And then some fans are just extra and cringe sometimes about their love for the show. But this is not unique to MHA. MHA fandom is just really loud, lol.

goblin.bones

The afo backstory never stops being wild, just the same as Bakugou's moment here never stops being so good ❤️😭 the mha hate is pretty crazy, but this deep in, I just have to figure that all of those folks are missing out!

Tivy

Yoichi reminds me so much of Deku tbh. They obviously share a lot of similarities and parallels too.

Dub_quinn

Hawks always rage baiting AFO to the end! I love that!

Tivy

8:50 — Yes you are kind of right Cannon, but it’s not that AFO had OFA at any point. He gave Yoichi a stockpiling quirk, just meant to help him build up strength since he was so weak. But what AFO didn’t know was that Yoichi already had a quirk, it was just useless on its own bc it was the ability to pass on quirks. When those two quirks combined (the stockpiling and the transferable one), that’s what ended up creating OFA. So yeah it’s not that the stockpiling quirk was OFA, but the fusion of those two quirks that made it what it is.

Ashlee

THEY JUST KEEP DELIVERING PEEEEAK !!! 🔥🔥🔥

Dub_quinn

Carter starts coughing at the sudden evil baby reveal hahah, McKay saying Bakugo can’t kill a baby lol — but if anyone could kill an evil AFO baby it’d be Bakugo 😂

Dub_quinn

McKay loving “beddy bye All For One” hahah

Sky

Love how Bakugo's "This is our story" moment uses the same art style as All Might's United States of Smash. He got to pay All Might back for what he did to save Bakugo right as he's accepting that he'd never have gotten to where he did as a Hero without all the people that supported him. Hell of an arc for his character. To go from an arrogant kid to a young man grateful for all the people that allowed him to reach his full potential.

botanbutton

They handled AFO's backstory quite well; I almost wish it was longer! And then Bakugou just straight up sending AFO to the gulag! Can't help but be proud of him! 😭 Super fitting that his single quirk is what sends AFO packin'.

Dub_quinn

Cannon looking in complete disbelief after Bakugo’s “this is our story” moment! And then he got so scared by the baby attack, like same, but what an epic All Might pose at the end! Yeah Bakugo looks sooo spent but still sooo epic

Dub_quinn

Jack not standing for Bakugo’s quirk being called “measly explosions,” yessss!! 💥

botanbutton

You hit the nail on the head!

Tivy

I WANNA BINGE THIS SEASON SO BAD UGHHH

Tivy

Yeah AFO potentially redeeming himself was never even part of the question lol. Bro was literally a demon since birth

Dub_quinn

Crazy that AFO getting rage baited by Kudo who helped get Yoichi away from him after all these years, and Bakugo is the one standing between him getting to Shiggy/Deku. Just PEAAKKK moments!

Dub_quinn

I see hawks face in the weird AFO faces missile! At 15:03 on here, that’s cool, there’s probably more details I’m missing!

Tivy

Secret to defeating AFO: Rage bait

Dub_quinn

The geks watching All Might watch Bakugo, perfection! ❤️

Dub_quinn

Bakugo and Hawks rage bait AFO — I love that we have a select few who can get to him lol

Dub_quinn

A lil wrinkly Bakugo hahah!

kai

only person crazy enough to 1v1 a baby and win is katsuki bakugo

botanbutton

Actually, they weren't! 🧐investigation mode unlocked🤓 Who AFO was referring to was very vague; he only said [aitsu/アイツ] (meaning "that guy" or "they") when he was telling Yoichi what he did. Since they didn't include the full context about the Glowing Baby being a leader like they did in the manga, it easy to not know who he's talking about. The translator could have put "Glowing Baby" or something, even if AFO didn't directly say it, to help make up for the missing context. 😅 I don't understand why they don't just reference the manga English translations when they do the anime English translation/subtitles. Heck, if I were them, I would ask for the Japanese language manga volumes to double/triple check my translations.

kai

and someone pointed out the base the 2nd and 3rd users used is the same bar the League of Villains used afo is a PETTYYYY MAN he hated kudo so effing bad 😭

Dub_quinn

There’s weirdo’s in every fandom, luckily I mostly hear solid commentary on MHA now. Although I think a lot of people still haven’t given MHA a shot because of the once bad commentary about it. Hopefully MHA continues to overcome haters and weird people cause the show is great!

joursh

🐐

Mia Malvik ⚞ • ⚟

Honestly some of my favourite anime moments oat these last episodes. Bakugo epicness just hits different

Jessica S

I LOVE the AFO back story. I remember when that manga chapter came out people were actually horrified to see him as an evil baby, especially that panel of him on his dead mother. They adapted this so well in the anime. S8 is just banger after banger moments

Ockto

Since you didn't get it when AFO said, "And so I killed them and stole this: All For One killed the glowing baby at the start of the show and took their quirk. He was mad that the baby took the credit for being the first ever to have meta-powers. When he and many others in far-off countries were born with powers first, but never saw the light of day.

Matt C

The tiktoks are gonna go crazy with the Bakugo scenes in this ep 😭. Animation's been unreal

Lastresorthero

The way Bakugo answered the question would you go back in time and kill hitler as a baby.

JevCor

If you're a villain baby the worst possible matchup is Bakugo. LMAO

victoria t

Everyone thought Edgeshot died but he didn’t, he’s still kickin

jed d'angelo

For sure. I think it was mainly young people who enjoy drawing taking it too far tbh. Like it was teenagers getting into anime cause of the new gen stuff and then they didn't understand the issue they were causing by shipping certain characters so hard especially the child with adult stuff. I'm glad its out of the shows fanbase as far as I've seen too. I think everyone got over it around season 4 because the fandom had enough with the bs going on lol.

AJCoCoQueen

BAKUGO MY FREAKING GOAT!!!!!!!

ninie

Yeah as someone who was a fan of MHA for a good amount of time now and was here during the 2020 era… most of us were not normal 😭. But honestly the fan base matured it’s sad people still drag it

Hector

Selfless bakugo is top 3 in the verse

Marcus D

All for one stole the glowing baby’s quirk, hence why he can glow now 😭. The glowing baby must have rallied 10mil peace wanters as they were the first ever quirk holder and AFO went to kill him and them all😭

AK

Only acceptable time to root against a baby!

James Kearney

If you have hulu, watch on there! Dialogue is so much better and more manga accurate this season. Explains the glowing baby stuff 100x better!

Spideycain

everybody going to defend an anime what they like the best its just like sports

ninie

The raigebait got to AFO🤣🤣

JevCor

Ok Pookie

patricia jimjimcherie

As a long time MHA fan, the fandom sucks (sucked?) It was toxic as hell, to the point I stopped interacting with it except for a select few lol. I think the MHA fandom that watches reactions is the saner part of the fandom (i think it might be the part of the fandom that refuses to interact with the rest of it LOL)

Kayanolive

That huge ball he threw at bakugo looked sooo insane in the manga btw. so glad they did his fight justice i wasnt expecting more sakuga. he literally is the goat. not one person with only one quirk is as goated as he is

Kayanolive

Bakugo with One For All could reset the universe or sum idk im such a glazer but its true

Nanami's Wife

No Jack, you don't understand.....You guys weren't there when the MHA fandom suffered great loss long ago and those started getting made fun of😔. I could never hate the show because of certain people in the fandom, but I can see where people were coming from with the hating. Mostly bc it stems from the shippings (An example is bakudeku POVs vids (I won't say my opinion on that😂)) HOWEVER, I loved 2020/2021 anime tik tok. It's like seeing an ex. The fandom was PEAKKK 🙏🏾Yes there were some downsides, but there was more good and it was fun. The mha edits and audios, especially the Bakugo one is engraved in me. We were cringe but we were free😂 So, if you guys go look into 2020/2021 anime mha, just know it wasn't bad, we were all happy😂😂

Sam Davis

AFO & OFAs mom being the unknown 1st quirk holder is crazy

Violet833

Killing his whole bloodline was crazy

Sam Davis

How he was just literally dragging Yoichi around is wild

Sam Davis

He killed the glowing baby who was older then that had the "first" quirk

Marcus D

Yeah a lot of the translations were off in this one, and this is just from hearing the Japanese dialogue with no manga knowledge

Sam Davis

Finally AFO showing how absolutely fuhkd he was is amazing! Dudes just truly a evil person & I love it

Sam Davis

GREAT EXPLOSION MURDER GOD DYNAMIGHT!!

Violet833

The extent to his obsession with his brother is crazy. But it makes sense because throughout the whole show he always says something like " I'll take back my brother now" when referring to getting OFA.

ginabella

Waitttttt did I miss something?

McKay Carter

That makes so much sense now

Belly

she wasn’t. afo literally says 50 babies were born with meta powers before the glowing baby in india and that was before afo and yoichi were born.

Dub_quinn

Now I need to go watch All Might fight in S3 to get all the callbacks that they did in this episode for Bakugo 👀

Nanami's Wife

I love Bakugo man, my favorite hero fr. We don't spare All For One, even as a baby!!!🤣🤣I'm glad Hawks was still talking shit to All For One inside😂 Now its time for my goat Deku to finally turn up

JoLen

7:30 the golden baby was being used as a sign of peace. AFO stole the quirk

Dub_quinn

The mental fortitude of Hawks will never break. And yeah Bakugo is amazing!

JoLen

Rest in purgatory

Cade

i cant lie rewatching this show with you guys has made me realize how good it really is, peak!

Neptunestar79

Oooooo I’d also like to point out that instead of bakugo saying at the end “you got this, izuku.” In the manga he says, “give him hell, Izuku” ITS JUST SO MUCH BETTER!! IT MAKES THE ANTICIPATION SO MUCH HIGHER, MAKES ME WANNA JUMP AROUND

Ffion

They didn’t send death threats though.

Rosa

Hes looking up at us guys <3

Kayanolive

its more on brand too

DonDuh103

Its fun watching yalls faces go from being tired then looking like yall been up for hours theses last 4ep!

Luvehxo

yup I'm glad someone said it since the anime didn't feel like making something so cool clear for some reason.

WhynefineT

I want to take the villains in the show serious but damn they dont do anything that gives stakes to the characters or world. At the least the main antagonist should give the feel like whenever they are on the screen they would change the game. (Spoiler discussion in thread)

JevCor

EDIT: This dude putting spoilers in the replies. Don't bother engaging. DONT CLICK THE REPLIES IF YOU AREN'T DONE THE MANGA.

WhynefineT

I am talking about shigaraki ofcourse.

JevCor

Then your point makes no sense. He isn't even on the screen in this episode. Also liking your own comments immediately is weird.

WhynefineT

I wasn't talking about this episode

WhynefineT

I'm talking about the manga overall.

JevCor

I disagree but you do you.

WhynefineT

I don't care if you disagree. All mha villians are fodders. They don't do anything but yap.

JevCor

Who asked. Bro comes to a MHA reaction comment section to yap, you and the villains have a lot in common you should love them. Also you forgot to like your comments for that confidence boost.

WhynefineT

You replied to me lol mind your own business then. Shigaraki does nothing from now on and yap, then takes a punch from deku and dies. Brilliant writing lol

JevCor

Still yapping. Someone is jealous that MHA is peak. I can tell I got your ass by you throwing out spoilers LMAO. Raging like a child.

WhynefineT

I still enjoy mha. The villains are fodders that's all

WhynefineT

I'm sure you've read the manga the way you were talking

McKay Carter

Sorry! Waking up at 3 everytime definitely doesn’t help haha

Kayanolive

thx for the block rec

JevCor

No, I haven't read it. I was basing it off of what I've seen.

JevCor

The subs around there were a little weird too. I think every reaction I've seen has a different translation lmao

Kayanolive

Oh fr? good call then i hope the geks see this

Doomydude

The subtitles did you a little dirty. I recommend watching the netflix subtitles if possible since they seem more accurate and make things a little more understandable (like the glowing baby scene).

St4rscream

I think you only see the bad side of the random when you dislike a show

Animeke

I remember there being a massive shipping war for MHA several years ago and there was A TON of bullying and death threats. I hadn't even seen or really heard of MHA until that happened.

Pats

Stealing the glowing baby’s quirk was wild

Animeke

Bakugo went beyond Plus Ultra.

Ciara

The fandom lore I don’t even know where to start lol (here’s a long detailed explanation) back in 2020/2021 (this mostly stemmed from tik tok) there were just very very cringey mha cosplays and media, people would make the weirdest ships in the show and just ship everyone w everyone (I mean like hawks x endeavor, Dabi x hawks, Kirishima x bakugo, Denki x Shinso??? Even all might x deku these are only SOME examples). The fandoms know for their huge ship wars like people would be obsessed with a ship and stand by it so much as they would get in huge arguments or send death threats over it if someone hated on it or disagreed with it. There were lots of out of pocket incidents (when I mean out of pocket I mean OUTTA POCKET😭). Many adults were making way too many inappropriate remarks and media towards the characters which is usually common but it was mostly geared towards the kids (which in season 1-4 which is what were out around that time the kids were drawn really young looking since they just got to highschool which makes it even worse). And a lot of people shipped bakugo and Deku and were very scrutinized for it back then because of how there was still lots of homophobia then, and the aggressiveness of the shippers and how they believed their opinion was correct, and also there was no bakugo character development in those seasons he was just mean to deku the whole time (it’s it still the biggest ship in the fandom and when I say big I mean BIGGG but a lot more people understand it now though as there’s been more media released now to back it up and especially the new episodes because romantically or platonically they’re soulmates lol) (if you’re asking yourself what about uraraka people ship her with toga which after that one episode of them kinda makes since if you think about it💀). The list goes on and on really the fandom did use to be really bad lol but it’s definitely gotten better over the years lots of new people have joined the fandom, and the ones that were in it and were weird have finally learned what shame is lollll. This is why overall people hate on the show. But I hate how people bring it down because of the fandom just don’t interact with them it’s that easy especially since it’s not bad anymore!

Patrick Bateman

13:16 This the first time we actually see the fight where All Might destroys All for One's face and him needing devices to be able to breath ?

smoopie

baby yoichi 😭 i wish it was a little more clear that he spent some time with the resistance as opposed to being killed right after being rescued... kudo teared up despite their short time together 😭 and then we see afo kept his brother's hand and did the same with tenko's family :/

Lexzc

AFO not only stole vital nutrients from yoichi before they were even born,i believe one was supposed to be able to give quirks while the other to take them since they were twins they would have worked together to do these things, but AFO took like 99% of his brothers quirk due to his nature while Yoichi was left with what they called that defective factor which was nothing but a remnant of what he was supposed to have and AFO took before birth,so unexistant that not even he noticed it was still there. Also i dont get the confusion about the glowing quirk since weve been told and shown that baby numerous times through the entire show, then during AFO last fight against Allmight and Stain he started glowin too as he regressed to a point where he was younger (rewinding him to points of his life where he had other quirks),now how could someone with the ability to steal quirks be able to use some one elses quirk? Because he stole that babies quirk at some point, this episode just shows the aftermath of that,he went stole it and killed his followers for claiming he was the first human with meta powers when there had been about 50 before the glowing one from china, this is why animes keep giving reminders and flashbacks of stuff sated before yet somehow people still disregard them as recycling or time padding and then go and miss things or misinterpret them. It dosnt matter which subtitles you had while watching the episode,as long as you were watching the show the information was there and it was straight forward: Glowing baby from china stated to be the first to show meta abilities since episode one and reminded to viewer several times through the show including this episode. Egocentrical maniac villain known for taking and giving quirks and has lived for a long time. Gets a rewinding quirk, explained as a power that can revert people back to points in their past restoring whatever theyve lost. Villain gets reverted so far back that he starts recovering and showcasing quirks he no longer had, thanks to the rewind quirk. Villain gets reverted to a point where he stars glowing like the one glowin chinesse baby. Villain's past shows a point in his life that matches his present time appearance and is coming back glowin, something he couldnt do before he left and is questioned about it. Villain outright says he took it and killed everyone else who claimed the owner of the glowing quirk to be the first one when there had been atleast 50 before him that were born with a meta power. Ive watched this episode with varied english and spanish subtitles (and the wording was worse than in most versions in english including this one) and while the wording varies from sub to sub,the important information is always there (bro i took this quirk from the believed first meta user) and dosnt require effort to figure out,as long as the viewer was able to remember the information that has been reiterated multiple times at this point.

ninie

The ship wars is THE thing that made people hate the fandom. The ships were insane some people were just making ships for the sake of making ships. 😭

Durarara

William Dafoe *meme* looking up.

Ciara

Istg they were just making them for no reason😭

smoopie

you can see hawks's face in afo's flesh ball thing!

ninie

They were all so out of pocket

Ciara

LMAO

Northie

These are such normal ships (except the gross minor x adult ones obviously) I don't understand the beef, it's always been a part of fandom culture even if the characters barely/never interacted. People even used to ship characters from different shows/movies (Elsa x Jack frost) 😭😂 Every fandom has its weirdos, it's just a coincidence that mha became super popular while also catering towards young teenagers who happened to be the most vocal about it

Ciara

Yeah i completely get that and not bashing all the ships but some are just weird like endeavors x hawks like bro absolutely not😭 and just shipping 2 people bc they had one interaction like denki and shinso feels like such a reach but yeah all fandoms have this side the one piece fandoms ships are insane😭😭 they just dont get as much spotlight as the mha ships thankfully

Miguel

Remember when Cannon said "Bakugou's quirk is mid"? 😂

n Ferrante

I dont agree that all for one is a goated villain , he loses literally every fight , has no layers and has a very trash Ending ,

JayCnY

When you are trying to convey something to someone it's best to use lighter language. Instead of "you don't understand" try saying things like, "I think you may have misinterpreted".

Nanami's Wife

No no no I think you misread my tone. When I say that, I’m saying it as someone putting their hand on someone’s shoulder and shake their head sadly and slowing and they’re thinking “Oh no Little do you know 😔😔😔😔” I didn’t mean it in a mean way or rude, sorry if that is what it sounded like

HrlIEJB

whenever you guys watch the intro, the scenes so far been changing/adding more so you should definitely check it out!

DevinMarshall

What fights did he lose? The only other time he fought in the anime was vs all might in season 3 which he won if you don't view the fight one dimensionally. He rescued the league of villains, used up the last of all might's quirk, and destroyed the symbol of peace. 1000% a won fight. The only other fight he has in the anime is the current fight which took literally every named character except for deku to beat him. You say he has no layers, but why does every villain need layers. A villain who is just evil can be fun and compelling. No one needs a dragon in a fantasy story to have layers, it just eats humans. That's the kind of villain all for one is. Not to mention what makes him a goated villain is the same thing that makes aizen a goated villain, manipulation and control over every situation. Lastly, what's wrong with his ending? Like i said he goes out in a fight against the entire verse that he only lost because Tomura became too strong to control.

Dakota

Bakugo hitting the pose almost finished me off for good, bro. I almost passed away. Back to back episodes of peak. Insane.

n Ferrante

He would have lost the fight against endeavor he literally got roasted, and against bakugo he didnt any damage on bakugo

Vernus

God we are so back. The anime has surpassed the manga yet again. It feels so right

Vernus

Watch movie 3 and 4!!!!!!!

Enma

I'll never forget seeing someone cosplay as Deku pretending to give birth to Bakugo's child on tiktok. Man, those were some interesting times

Belen Anh

Tbh reading all these comments about the fandom lore, I'm glad I wasn't active in the fandom 🤣🤣🤣

Northie

i PRAY you guys stop clapping directly into the mic right when the video starts, especially cause it automatically plays at full volume 😭

Vextipher

This episode was wild and caught me so off guard. Didn't expect such a depraved backstory but here were are. AFO was a menace and Bakugo is the goat, wow.

Northie

@Jed I just gotta say that what you're complaining about is nowhere near exclusive to the MHA fandom, there's weirdos and perverts everywhere unfortunately. Hell, in 2014-2015 when only season 1 of AOT was out, the most popular ship was Levi and Eren

Half_-Face

Just to clarify, All for one never had One for All. What he had and gave Yoichi was a simple stockpiling quirk that meant the more you trained the stronger the quirk got. It was perfect for Yoichi because he was so weak. It then mixed with the quirk Yoichi had since birth that was so weak that All for One couldn’t even tell he had it & that quirk was basically the ability to transfer his quirk to someone else and THAT combination of the two was what then turned into the One For All quirk we now know.

Half_-Face

The reason All For One was glowing was because he stole the quirk of the glowing baby, the first meta power to ever be registered and thus touted as the first ever formed quirk in a human despite a reporting of people having developed quirks two weeks prior to that somewhere in India. They mentioned how the guy with the glowing quirk was at the forefront of advocating for peace and security, how he already managed to get 10 million people to follow him and after that showed All for One coming back while glowing and telling Yoichi that he killed them all and took the quirk of their "leader".

Zess

Holy shit LOL that's diabolical

Zess

This was a way winded out explanation that you basically said everything you needed to say in the second paragraph lol

Zess

I feel like the anime made it pretty clear lol did we just think it was a different glowing quirk because why not? He literally goes into a monologue about how the glowing baby wasnt even the actual first person with a quirk, just the first registered, and that there were many others who were already born with a quirk around the same time. And it was easy to infer with the whole "I want everyone to look at me" killed him out of jealousy since he held the title of the first person with a quirk and had a massive following. I mean, even before this episode, when he was getting younger and his skin started glowing, kind of said everything then as well lol even though you could have interpreted it as he was the glowing baby before this episodes confirmation on what happened.

Zess

Jay out here giving unsolicited therapy lessons lol dont worry Nanami, none of what you said would get interpreted in a negative way unless someone is already looking for that.

Zess

Are people confused about the glowing baby?

Nanami's Wife

@Zess Oh my god, thank you💕💕!! I was so taken aback by the comment. Him saying “use lighter language” made no sense to me. I wasn’t sober when I read the reply so it just went over my head 😭

justin

i mean, the geks clearly didn't understand why he was glowing because the subs were weird

TheDirkiestDigg

Yes, he would have lost the fight to Endeavor, but he had Eri's quirk, so he won. He didn't do damage to Bakugo either because he was too egotistical to view him as a challenge at first, and then due to that was put into a situation where he had to put everything into one attack.

Jessica S

Wow don't know that one. But I have come across the Todoroki giving birth video on youtube...

Vera

Lmaooo facts Zess

Vera

The KABOOM impact frame man, do I need to say more 😩👌🔥

Vera

Us watching the Geks watching All might watch Bakugo, even better 🙂‍↕️👌

Vera

THISSSS!! I totally believe this as well and it explains sooo much about All for One as a character - plus the fact that he grew up in such a unstable time period where he had the perfect quirk to become super influential and powerful

Vera

Mha proofing once again that a prequel series about the origin of One for All would go unbelievably hard

india holloman

This episode didn’t have me as emotional as the last 2, but I loved the backstory I was so shook. My fave episode so far is definitely 3. My favorite scene from this episode was definitely all might snatching AFO face off. Like how did he survive that. But also I loved the end scene with bakugo holding up his fist because even then all might was the standard he was following and idk why but that was the only part of this episode that had me emotional. I also love the visuals of the wielders passing it on. Also I’m glad AFO mentioned that he might have to fight shigiraki because I had that same theory that it could’ve took the turn of them fighting which allows them to take each other out and make it easier for the hero’s.

india holloman

I agree that I loved the second episode but really because of the tension and emotion it built up

india holloman

I agree when you put it like that. Is he my fave no but I do appreciate that there was no logic to his madness. I feel like giving a sad story to account for how they became this bad can be a cop out sometimes. In real life every evil person didn’t have a sad story. It made his character way more fun and unpredictable. I’m glad he didn’t get redemption. AFO was like the thanos I can’t take anything away from the hero’s but they wouldn’t have won if all of them didn’t play a role. Had bakugo not woken up or even all might not keep rewinding him he would’ve taken them all out unless deku could solo both of them.

india holloman

He didn’t lose though because he had a contingency, even tho I agree endeavor did beat him, he still came back from that. so he was still a huge threat especially before all might stepped in.

Garreth

I'd say ep 2 is my favorite so far. Ep 3 and 4 are amazing, I just think ep 2 had so much emotion and the unique sequence with the narration. Ep 3 was absolutely HYPE though and had lots of emotion.

Garreth

Waiting weekly for these episodes is so rough. I think that's why season 5 got such a bad rap and why a lot of people stopped watching around then. The weekly wait for just half of a class a vs b fight was underwhelming coming off the peak of s4.

GruntRule

Being on Patreon filters out all the bad parts of the MHA Fandom, because in order to be here you have to have a job.

JoLen

I did kinda infer he had stolen the quirk, as the baby was shown twice in the episode and talked about on the radio, but it can be easy to miss

Daveeed

Bakugo: Our story Cannon: Did he just solo AFO?! Bruh

Alex Ramirez

The Fandom is definitely terrible. It's not as active anymore but if you go look for anything MHA related on social media, you'll run into the toxicity of the fandom. The majority of your Patreon is tame, I haven't seen a single shipper yet. The MHA fandom has times where it gets toxic to Kohei Horikoshi (the creator/mangaka of MHA). Last year they wanted him dead because he posted Mirko, a tanned Japanese woman from Okinawa, with a lighter skin tone in a dynamic lighting shot. The peak toxicity of the fandom was back in 2018-2023.

Alex Ramirez

That is the best comment I've read so far about the fandom 😂

Alex Ramirez

They have to, it makes great timestamps in the audio with audio spikes to make it easier to edit the videos.

Alex Ramirez

You dont know the full MHA fandom lore if you're starting off with TikTok. It was a problem back on Tumblr before the 2020s.

Vernus

The emotions were so strong this episode. I’ve watched it like 5 times already, so amazing

Vernus

The quirk afo was using at the end was spearlike bones

JevCor

That was his mothers that he stole I think, the first one he ever mastered.

JevCor

LMAO, true, the barrier to entry is too high for the worst kids.

Rayanh Shequinah Nansha

For those who care, what was unsaid (and also said) from the manga panels into these episodes goes as follows: Narrator showing AFO and OFA's mother: [This prostitute has been ill for around a year. Hard warts started growing from her left arm. For eight months, she didn't realize she was pregnant And not only because she was homeless. She couldn't even remember their conception. Before she knew it, those "things" nested inside her womb... And giving birth to the twins by the river, she died immediately. But, for some mysterious reason, all the warts were gone from her arm as a consequence. The babies... only had each other. When rats came and tried to eat the corpse and the newborns... the two of them got washed away by the swollen river. - [ONE YEAR LATER] - The glowing baby was the first of many meta bilities being documented around the world.] AFTER THE 3 YEARS, WHEN AFO COMES BACK, GLOWING LIKE THE MOON: AFO: Did you know that the glowing baby has over 10 million sympathizers? How weird. He may be the first officially documented case... but two weeks prior to his birth, in India... 50 babies were born with meta abilities. He doesn't have the right to monopolize so manny people... that's why I killed him and stole his meta ability. SIDE NOTE: The name he gave him, "YOICHI" has the kanji (Japanese characters) for "give" and "one"

Tivy

I keep seeing people talk about this, but Deku and Bakugou have so many parallels and similarities to Yoichi and Kudo and it’s actually so true when you break it down

Tivy

LMAO I get what he meant but yeah it took everyone to beat AFO. Endeavor, Hawks, Class 1-A, All Might, etc had to weaken and revert him back several decades first lol. Bakugo was the final boss

Northie

then they'd do it in every video, which they don't unless it's edited out in others, either way shit hurts ma ears

Tai

truest thing ever said about mha fandom

monsterhead

You’re just chatting it was never that bad lol. You can’t say an entire fandom did something when it was just a very small portion of fans 😅

Alex Ramirez

I've been watching MHA since episode 1 dropped. The fandom was fine until 2018. I know for a fact you never used Tumblr. When Tumblr had its policy change in 2018 is when the MHA fandom truly became volatile. The toxic fans are much more vocal and you see it a lot on social media and at conventions.

Beeg

If you think the western fandom is bad, you should look up what's happening to the Chinese fans. There was some drama revolving one of the villain's names. Then Chinese cosplayers have been getting beaten up and bullied at cons and events for dressing up as MHA characters. Shit is legit next level bad.

Aaaaaa

Just read somewhere that bakugo was the first person to realize deku’s strength at 4 years old and now I don’t know what to do with myself

Nashi

Crazy to think it took 2 watches for me to like Bakugo this much

Nashi

Thanks for that, it's way more in character now

Knoebility

Some awesome parallels/allusions between this fight and All Might vs AFO in Camino back in Season 3. From the poses, all the way to the artstyle. Don't worry, no spoilers, this reel has them side by side so you can really see it clearly https://www.instagram.com/moredeku/reel/DQO-okJESNq/

Sheridan

Episode 3 is definitely my favorite so far, the animation was so beautiful!! I get chills every time I rewatch it.

Sheridan

I feel like 60% of the MHA hate/toxicity comes from the western/eng dub fandom and the last 40% comes from the toxic shippers. From like seasons 1&2 there have been so many memes of the english dub, and so much from tiktok during the fandom peak was exaggerating Deku and Bakugo. Like ppl not having ever watched the show would hear clips from the english dub and think "Deku the crybaby" and "Bakugo the anger issues/yelling" guy. It led to both of them being known as annoying and people not liking them or the show. Like there's now a known "Deku voice" people use to troll in voice chats/online based on the eng dub for Deku. Add to that the toxic shippers and seasons 4-5 being more focused on character building/set up a lot of people lost interest or dropped the show. I think the MHA fandom is a lot better now because the bad eggs left, people grew up and came back, and new fans are joining without the pre-2022 fandom mindset.

Marcus D

A lot of people had a fit with the manga ending though. But yeah I think it’s died down now(still a small cesspool on Twitter and forums though), but we’ll have to see how things go with the anime ending

Sheridan

Yeah I didn't mention the fit over the manga ending to avoid spoilers. Also most recently the way people were genuinely upset Bakugo won the popularity poll & the rankings was so silly.

Jack

One of the best episodes yet

Jenny D

This was a crazy backstory! He was evil even as a baby. I didn't even know he and his brother were twins. Bakugo cooked! Now they have to take care of Shigaraki Excited for the next episode this Saturday

Dub_quinn

are the geks gonna be in Halloween costumes Saturday morning? lol

Kayanolive

"missing" all of this is kinda wild, what a tragic story yikess

Kayanolive

i think a rewatch would help you

Ninjinzo

Most of it was from toxic shippers that kinda ruined it for alot of mha watchers and non watchers trying to get into the show. It basically formed a invisible wall that it's a 'weird show filled with only weird people watching it.' for that reason people avoided it or dropped it. Imo u can still watch it whilst ignoring that side which you guys did well on as well as your mha community here on patreon. No stupid ship wars, no annoying shippers forcing it down ur throats. Just enjoying what's been served infront of us from the episode and being talked about. But yeah I'd say about season 4-ish ended and tiktoks were going off people would just see the weird side of mha fandom in terms of the shipping side. One of the few ships that were being blasted were diabolical ones like Deku and Eri. And forced ones like Deku and Bakugo as well as people thirsting over literal 15 yr olds. I've seen 25 yr old women thirsting over bakugo and todoroki

Ninjinzo

yeah im pretty sure the author made it seem that way

Ninjinzo

@Monsterhead it was pretty bad bro there were literally popular memes making fun of mha fandom and mha watchers as a whole

Ninjinzo

It was also infested with alot of chronically ill online people. If you get the gist. Most anime fandoms obv will have those people but there was ALOT in mha back then

martiancide

Lol, the anime was popular among weird kids so people got weirded out. A lot of it was blown out of proportion, plenty of fandoms were actually far worse than 2016 MHA

Nanami's Wife

I don’t know if you guys caught it but All For One was weird and incestuous towards Yoichi and Shigaraki. Notice how AFO’s main targets were always white haired dudes when looking for a vessel (Shirakumo, Nine, Touya, Tenko)….Yeah….The fact that Shigaraki was covered in hands AS A CHILD and people didn’t THINK abt that (insinuating assault/groomed). The fact AFO hated Kudo cuz he “took” yoichi from him and he made sure to kill his whole bloodline too?? Yeah……the crack egg visual….it being the 9th user…. AFO is the definition of greed and evil. This could be seen as emotional incest at the very least. Not really incest in it's entirety but its abusive and toxic. AFO is way too obsessed with yoichi to be healthy

Zess

Honestly with the hand part, I think the author has come out and said how much he enjoys drawing hands lol you can tell how much detail he puts in them compared to other stories. So I really think he just wanted a villain design that lets him draw it a bunch.

Nanami's Wife

I also thought that too. But I saw some depictions after the latest episode and people brought up the hands. And honestly when u really think abt it, the whole hands on Shigaraki definitely was weird. Yes the author love drawing hands, but he also used hands as a symbol in his story for a deeper meaning (and a character design could also symbolize something). We learned that AFO kept yoichi’s hand, which is so crazy to me he put that idea into Shigaraki’s head with putting the family’s hands on your body to “remember them”. It was weird and fucked. I love fans seeing more deeper meaning in things from the story bc there’s always symbolism even if it’s something small

Matt C

Tf did I just read respectfully 😭. It's cool to have an opinion but personally I think you're reading too deep into this 🤷‍♂️

Nanami's Wife

LMAO The comment I made is what I got from people discussing in the mha community on social media and friends who thought of the same thing. So, you don’t have to take my comment seriously, it’s just a thought of a deeper meaning to what the show has shown. Media/entertainment is also meant be discussed in a deeper meaning (symbols/representations). I get if u don’t see it that way but I thought it’s very interesting to add and as a viewer, you should already be able to interpret the type of relationship both those characters had was weird. That’s explanatory. An example: Endeavor and Rei. It wasn’t blantly said he was forcing her to have babies but it showcase it for viewers to interpret. Thats just what im doing here respectfully 👍🏾

BAKUUUGOOOAT

HAHAHAHA

Earthshatter

Dang that actually made it so much better cuz I wasn't liking his backstory too much till I read this

Hey can you guys react to the movies

I’m so excited for tomorrow but also sad cause it just hit me the last My Hero fight ever begins next episode

Bakugo > Reze

Liza

Bakugo saying he didn't win alone which I am glad he said and it shows his growth, he still him but a bit more teamplayer now. Endeavor, Tokoyami, Dark Shadow, Mount Lady, Inasa, Hawks, Shinso, Kirishima, Camie, Sheji, All Might, Stain, Earphone Jack, and Bakugo. It took so many efforts and Bakugo was right. He is the final boss HAHAHHAH
