This transferring thing or mental space was confusing for me at first lol. I used to think Deku should just end it with brute force — it would’ve been way more satisfying, and honestly that’s what I wanted to see. But maybe that’s the same mistake every hero before him made. They all tried beating AFO, yet the cycle never ended. Even now, although AFO gone, Shigaraki is still there. From the beginning OFA isn’t about defeating evil — it’s about breaking the pattern that keeps creating it. And for that to happen, Deku has to face the history behind it, just like his quirk itself — a cumulative power built on generations of hearts and struggles. I didn’t like how episode 5 and this one played out at first, but rewatching it made me appreciate it a lot more.

I agree it sucks not getting to see it all, but I think it fits the theme perfectly cause this fight isnt about the physical battle and they are showing us all the people Izuku saved, inspired and brought together with his heart

Mckay's been transferred into Shiggy that's why he's not here lol also when AFO died the stolen quirks never returned to their orginal owners. I think Hawks said it would have been nice to get the quirk back but he didn't. So Shiggy would have to transfer one for all back to Deku which i don't even know if that's really possible (although in the second movie which is now canon they decided to return to him) we'll have to see 😭

That was an special case,the predecessors werent transfered to Bakugou,its a temporary borrow of power because they have to stay with Midoriya,and considering that giving OFA to some one with a quirk would literally kill them it makes sense,besides on this case with Shiggy they are being transfered but as an attack,not to lend their powers.

Understandable,however, i doubt the fighting is over and im sure there will be better scenes showcased through his POV rather than the spectators POV,its a way to make viewer (and reador) to want to see more for better or for worse,point is,when they switch to doing that it would feel like you got what you wanted.

Poor Nana man, haunted by one impossible decision even after death, even in the end 😞 I think Deku is losing the stored factors in OFA but keeping the stockpiled physical strenght, so he's basically All Might even losing all the other quirks. I like the way the story is going, I mean the only way to save/defeat Shigaraki is to unveil the damage his family and AFO gave him, after all. And with Nana's addition I feel it can be a good way to close her arc too, so for me it kind of fits, for now, let's see how it ends.

can we talk about the fact that Shigaraki's hands are HAND-DRAWN instead of CGI this episode? or how Midoriya is holding his own while being fatigued against the weapon that brought Best Jeanist, Bakugo, Edgeshot, Mirko, Mirio, Amajiki, and Nejire to their knees even though they were all fighting WITH the advantage of Eraserhead's quirk and Midoriya ISN'T? or the detail where everytime we hear Deku's thoughts, time slows wayyyyyyyyy down, but when we're watching him fight from an outside perspective bro is moving faster than the speed of light? and the animation on him from those outside perspectives? I admit I was a bit underwhelmed on my first watch of the episode compared to all the others before it, but after a quick rewatch, I realized this episode felt like a way to show how Midoriya's style of heroism is different from All Might's, but not in a bad way. Kaminari's insight (go king) pointed that out and I really liked it,, All Might made everyone feel safe/sheltered via a general connection to everyone, which was what they needed at the time, but Midoriya makes people want to be heroic in their own ways via one-on-one/personal connections, which is what they need NOW. In order to do that, I understand they needed to show us his inner dialogue which was going to slow things down a bit, so I was glad they still took the time to show those brief action sequences. Not as much crazy animation here as the other episodes, but still a good amount, and Midoriya is shining in more ways than just his action sequences- his character and devotion in trying to save Tenko, his appreciation for OFA and the opportunities it's given him, his influence on those around him, and his inherent goodness. what an MC, I cannot WAIT to see what we get in the future.

Yeah I had definitely had mixed feelings on it as well, it’s a cool way to showcase the fight - But - I also just wanted to see the awesome animation clearly.. 😔 especially because I felt like the best animation quality was shown on small screens for the most part

he's not quite like All Might without the previous holder's factors. Deku can still only use about 45% or so of All Might's level of power. He was making up for it this whole time by using the other stored factors to do faux 100%. So without them he's massively weaker than prime All Might again. :')

I love how they emphasized deku's love for quirks. He was born with no quirk but studied and analyzed them all his life to receiving multiple. Then using them and combining them in ways nobody would have thought of for the final fight against the biggest threat. He sees the value in each quirk, even ones that don't seem all that.

He was using blackwhip as support for his body. He was basically doing what that red bracer support item he had before it broke to achieve higher level power, but applied it to his entire body through blackwhip.

Nice shirt, Carter! Don't worry Cannon! Being a single person myself it can be frustrating, but we have to believe our person is out there! Great episode! I didn't think Deku would delve into Shigaraki's past. I feel bad for his grandma having to see what happened to her son. In some ways she was doing what was best, but it's also hard on a kid especially when they don't understand. I also would like to know where Aizawa and Mic are. Excited for the next episode.

People who found this episode "disappointing" have serious TikTok brain and only watch anime for nonstop fights. This episode still had great action, but it also gave us amazing dialogue, emotional moments and glimpses of other characters we haven’t seen in a minute. We even got to see the public’s perspective cheering Deku on. All the people who looked down on him, all the people he inspired. The music, pacing, everything was so well done. I’m glad the IMDb rating’s jumped to 9.3 after the first initial day or so. People are finally realizing how undeserved the hate was.

Tbh If people have a problem with Deku wanting to save Shiggy, they’re missing the point of the show. From the very start his whole character has been about saving everyone. Expecting him to suddenly turn into some relentless killer for some epic showdown or whatever completely ignores the growth we’ve watched all series. This final battle is about Deku trying to reach the broken kid inside Shiggy who was failed by every adult in his life. That’s what makes this fight so great, it’s the culmination of everything Deku stands for.

Thing is deku wasn't even entirely against the idea that he had to kill shiggy but he was always going to at least try to save him first which a lot of people did not get.

Yeah like people tend to oversimplify what “saving” means in Deku’s case. It’s not about excusing or redeeming Shiggy so he can just go back to living normally, it’s about giving him some form of peace, whatever that ends up looking like. Saving someone doesn’t always mean fixing them. It can be freeing them from their pain, or showing them one last bit of grace before the end. That’s what makes Deku’s approach so layered.
