Unbelievable timing. My food is in my HANDS 🙌

Chosos Wife

I just got into my brand new bed in my new apartment and was hoping something would drop to watch. Perfect timing ❤️❤️❤️

Amsin

Commenting to increase the comment amount! FRIEREN PEAK!! Thanks for the react 🙏

wanira 11

Fern: "Anyways, I started blasting 💥💥💥"

Alan

“SHE SLIMED HER OUT DUDE, FORREAL!!!” Is probably the funniest thing I’ve heard cannon say

misa

sat

Grae

Love this span of episodes it makes the world grow a lot bigger even though we're traveling nowhere, and thats all thanks to the cool cast of characters introduced in this arc. Also aye I don't think 100 comments a post is bad tbh, and sometimes the episodes are just really good and I got nothing much to add 🤷‍♂️

ace

I love when our characters get some well deserved glaze

GBuckets

Next episode is FIRE!!! This whole arc is FIRE!!!

Scared Cannon

“She slimed her out dude, forreal” 🤣🤣🤣🤣

hrt4u.

idk, maybe i'm different but i like ubel craziness.

Mr. John Kagurabachi

Hyped to see y’all’s yearly end of ranking anime tier list. I’m betting Frieren is in your top 5 anime shows but I’m curious to where mob psycho, my hero academia places, and even if one piece got higher on the tier list.

Jason Pham

Next episode is peak

Sky

To clarify - the surprise at how many spells Fern was casting wasn't about her mana supression. Her ability to control that many attack spells is just in and of itself a ridiculous showing. Fern has basically committed herself to being a Zoltraak and defensive magic specialist while all the other mages have worked on other types of offensive spells. Fern's hyper-proficiency in it is something that nobody in that test has likely ever seen before aside from Frieren.

Dub_quinn

SO great! Wirbel is cool, this show makes you invested in everyone!

Whyrie

I love that Denken knew who Frieren is and gave her that. Can’t wait for more to come! 🤩

John Paul

Frieren’s mysterious power level reminds me of how gojo was in the beginning of jjk, you know she’s powerful asf but the show hasn’t shown you how powerful she actually is, it makes the subtle showcases of her power glorious to watch 😭

Pats

Wirbel VA is also Jean from AOT

Dub_quinn

between more Frieren, more MHA, and Stray Kid's new album Friday, the end of this week is going to be PEEAAAKKKKK! geks, DO IT! lol

Seth Aasland

Can’t spell Wirbel without a W

LK

These episodes go so fast, need the next one expeditiously!! 😭

Amanda Reutermo

you guys and your impeccable timing, just sat down with some coffee and breakfast—love watching frieren with you guys! cannon's hype for this show is contagious, it's my first time watching this arc and it's fucking blowing my mind right now lmao

christopher

you guys forget frieren lost 6 times to humans

Alexis

It's only going to get more hype from here. To insane degrees. Also, one thing to keep in mind is that all of these people are strong enough to be able to even take this exam. This means they're all some of the strongest mages out there (or at least the ones ranked). So all of them are powerful in their own ways. I love that Frieren gives us time to get to know such interesting characters.

Farfaraway

Not the cliffhanger😭😭

GBuckets

Fern's basically just been spamming zoltraak this whole entire show which is an outdated spell in this timeline while everybody else are using fancy spells.

Brooke C

I love Denken 🥰

Ricardo Perez

Drop the next episodes already 😂 this Anime is so goooood!!!! Wait it gets better 🔥🔥🔥

Hector

Rage baiting comments Carter, I see you (you got me)

Hector

Cannon so hyped 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Garreth

The quiet "Don't do it" right before the episode ends is hilarious

JustADad 🟣⚫️

lol trust me. As someone that has seen a lot of this fanbase. You are not alone z

Hector

Fern might be Prodigy of the century and was though magic by the most important Hero mage of the verse. When I was watching this for the first time I had no doubt she was going to no diff

Half_-Face

Idk but to me it still feels like Canon is overestimating Frieren. This isn’t Solo Leveling or Dragon Ball, she isn’t this GOD who can just destroy entire planets lol. She even straight up told us that she lost 11 times to other mages and she didn’t defeat the demon king by herself obviously. The world building to me at least implies that there are things like favorable/unfavorable matchups in this verse. Sometimes you can be literally stronger/weaker than someone but you just match up better/worse against a specific opponents abilities. Also don’t get me wrong she is definitely EXTREMELY powerful and yes she probably kills 99% of the people in this verse, but with what we know about elves and how long lived they are as well as how people tend to forget heroic deeds or in modern terms their "feats" due to the passage of time we don’t really know the power scaling. We don’t even know how Kraft would stack up to Frieren let alone Serie, who to me honestly the way they’re building her up seems to be a prime example of someone thats way stronger than Frieren.

JustADad 🟣⚫️

Coming next week. Elle broke her tooth on some candy on recording day so they had to push it back.

JustADad 🟣⚫️

This last arc has a lot to love but for me this whole exam arc is amazing because of how much it really expanded our knowledge of the world.

JadonTheEternal

I absolutely love all the side cast introduced during the Exam Arc, Wirbel, Denken, The Lesbians, Ubel and Land, Methode. I love them all and I cannot wait for the boys to see the rest of the arc so that all the characters get their chances to cook

Pxssive

someone give Denken his meds😭

Bisky

Cannon is onto something with the saitama comparison

Booger

I love how much cannon loves this show 😭 can’t wait for season 2 🙏

YEPPA

U guys really need to make bigger the screen hahaha

alex anderson

I can’t say I agree with jacks opinion that everyone other than the main cast is a “rat”. Especially within the context of the type of world this anime is based in. Maybe I’m a minority in this, idk.

misa

"Oh SEE" "?...see what???" "....." "????" "...." lmao? 😭

Lil Mimi

Cannon so invested in this show let’s fkn go we get it bro u like this.

Lil Mimi

Just say u love Frieren

Two Cylinder

I can’t wait until they see the end of test 2

TRILLHO

i never caught it on my first watch but wirbel mentions that monster activity increased in the north 29 years ago, right around himmel's death. i love that they throw such a small nugget for whatever could be in store for season 2.

Zu

Next ep is gonna hit like crack

misa

new trailer for the 2nd season dropping tomorrow apparently 👀

Ayoodude

Over solo leveling?? Stop the cap 🧢

Frizen

Pretty sure Denken saying he'll crush Frieren was just to reassure Richter that he'd win and that killing one of the other 2 wouldn't be necessary.

Lil Mimi

Frieren over Solo Leveling bro GET OUT!!!! 🤣 just kidding

TheSauceGuy

Have the comments been low? I've just been binging this show and barely looking at them.

Anime is boring.

I like Frieren over solo leveling because of one thing. Frieren is telling a story, it's about the journey. It introduces characters organically. You don't know who they are when they are introduced, yes, something they act exactly how they look, but also their look doesn't match how they act. You don't know, and that makes me want to know more about the character. They try to limit exposition and maximize show, don't tell, mind frame. Not every anime takes the time to do that.

Earthshatter

Cannon was flabbergasted at how he was the only one hyped 🤣

Frizen

Solo Leveling is literally just hype and aura. You only think or talk about it when you're watching it, there is no further connection.

Shoelace Ace

Kinda crazy that Frieren got beaten by only Solo Leveling season 1, not even season 2.

Frizen

Jack calls anyone who isn't immediately friendly or looks slightly sus a rat, bro pre-fires everyone 🤣

MtnDua

I’m hyped for next year for the Sein, Wirbel and Ubel Funko pops to drop 🔥

Iris

I think something to think about with Denken and how you guys felt he was very flip floppy with his comments to "not kill the girls" but that he'd "crush" Frieren is that he is an imperial mage and an older one at that. It's clearly implied as not an easy title to acquire and it was also stated that he has cut down "enemies" that stood in the way of that goal, so he's not above killing. He also very clearly knows about Frieren and must have an idea of what she'd be capable of to have been the mage from the party of heroes. So ya, to him the girls are just that....girls, Richter just needs to occupy them while he solely focuses on Frieren because if he doesn't...she'll probably crush him, but he believes he can take her and she herself has stated she's been bested by other human mages before. So this is a legitimately pretty intense moment, and it's gonna be awesome to see how it progresses in the next episode! Anyways, hopefully that helps give you some insight about Denken, just from what's provided in this episode.

Green Buff

This arc is so good I love it

charlie

Frieren has some of my favorite side characters and this arc starts to really expand that

Killua X

everyone who watched Frieren knows it should've made anime of the year. I mean it's #1 of all time on MAL for a reason

Green Buff

I know lol, I need them to just drop like 5 episodes in a row xD

Green Buff

I fear not the person who has practiced 10000 kicks 1 time, but the person who has practiced 1 kick 10000 times.

alex anderson

Pre-fires is a good way to put it lol

Green Buff

FR, Frieren did win aoty from TAAF, IGN, reddit and some other places too. Solo Leveling only won from CrunchyRoll, which coincidentally, CR and the studio that made SL, are both owned by Sony :D

J

YES CHEF

Vlad Blue

Saying you're going to crush someone doesn't mean you're going to kill them. You can crush someone and they still be alive.

JT

i’m begging yall to just binge the rest 😭🙏🏼 the wait is killing meeeee

suzy

Right? Solo Leveling is good, but honestly Frieren is on a whole other level, the story, the characters, even the animation. Compared to Frieren, Solo Leveling feels below mid

suzy

Frieren hits in ways Solo Leveling doesn’t even try to

suzy

Solo Leveling = hype and fun Frieren = masterpiece storytelling

Animeke

I can relate.

suzy

The next 8 episodes are even peak-er

Animeke

Call me simple, but I love every character.

suzy

‏I’ve been busy, since it’s my final semester in college, but I’m always caught up with your Frieren reactions!❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Artemipsyche

It’s kinda funny, I think she mentions it a couple of times, but Frieren herself isn’t that good of a mage - she’s just been around a long time.

CatSandpaper

Wirbel and Denken are such a g's

Jeff

Oooof. Next one is gonna be 🔥 Only problem is they only feel like 5 mins long, so, they are doing something right💥

Hamilton

FERN=Fire Everything Right Now

kringlekrisp

Cannon spitting facts, the worldbuilding is very good and doesn't feel as on the nose as other anime

I’m Tired

this is my first time watch of frieren and I'm going as you post so I don't know much, but as someone else said, frieren has mentioned she doesn't consider herself the best mage. She has a great amount of battle IQ and experience from how long she's lived and adventured and we know her mana is insane but it'll be nice to see how she deals with other powerful mages, and if all of that even means much when it comes to being a strong mage

Hafsa

guys, I couldn't wait any longer so I went and binged the rest of the season :))) I love this show 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I’m Tired

literally every character that gets introduced I like, even the rats

Jv1300

Why yall holding onto the last episode of stranger things 😭

Half_-Face

I think that’s them baiting us into commenting more, but if they’re seriously surprised the explanation would be simple: it’s just due to the fact that Frieren is A LOT less known in the US or anywhere outside of Japan for that matter than One Piece, My Hero or Naruto. They are watching some absolute behemoths rn

Half_-Face

On top of that barely anyone even payed attention to ANYTHING happening outside of the MC fighting lol.

Daniel Daniel

Part of why comments are low is cause you guys have been spamming easy to digest shows lately, you have naruto, one piece and mha. From my experience a big part of people who enjoy those shows dont have the patience for the frieren storytelling. So after having mostly only those on your patreon for a good chunk of time your patreon channel will have those subscribers

Half_-Face

Yeah Denken thinking he stands a chance against Frieren is likely due to the fact that he’s unaware of her suppressing her mana. He sees the "old experienced mage" level of mana on her that some characters like Heiter or one of the proctors remarked her to possess and probably overestimates how he stacks up against that.

Nash

“She slimed her out dude, forreal” bruh Cannon is hilarious 😭😭😭

Half_-Face

Those shows are also just WILDLY more popular than Frieren outside of Japan & I’d argue even in Japan MHA & One Piece at least are a way bigger deal.

Kyle

this cliff hanger killed me on the weekly watch. I'm literally still a ghost

marvelzcc

Where is steins gate drop? Been waiting 2 weeks

Max Dalton

cannon is fueling the frieren community here W

konfetti

they said it'll be a double drop this friday!

Daniel Daniel

I never once mentioned popularity in my comment, not sure why you're getting into that

Skyz

Denken likely can't sense any mana fluctuation from Frieren's mana suppression which is what gives him such confidence. That and old human mages in this verse tend to be pretty powerful, Zoltraak and many other spells Frieren uses were originally invented by humans which she learned from them, humans progress much faster but obviously don't live anywhere near as long.

Sky

Have always loved the little touch with Wirbel when he's facing that "army" of children and he wears a mask that he doesn't seem to have on him during the exam. It's a well documented phenomenon with human beings that we are much more willing to engage in negative behaviors when we have a mask obscuring our faces from others, so him feeling a need to wear a mask when confronted with the prospect of killing children speaks to how he isn't just a straight up murderer who delights in killing. For all he's been through, he still feels remorse and shame and wants to keep his humanity. If Ubel (Goth Girl Sukuna) had been in his shoes during that momemt, safe to say she wouldn't have bothered with a mask.

Mitosdomain

The wait for ep 21 is gonna KILL MEEE

Pod Rider

this arc is one of the best

Dreamknight942

I’m loving how much Canon is loving this, and I love Fern just casually aura farming. Just like her master ✨

xo.strelizia

the later eps r sooooo crazy you guys r in for such a good show

No Name

This is def my fav anime ever

DonDuh103

This anime low-key just has it all and its only 1 season!!!

No Name

Not Cannon arguing with himself on whether Fern killed Ehre lolll

mariacake

I think it’s bait bec we’re not meeting 500-700 comments like what happened when they dropped the 1st ep of Frieren.

mariacake

Richter’s magic being earth-related makes so much sense because the scale that measures earthquakes is called a Richter scale 😂

mariacake

W reaction from Cannon fr

mariacake

Even the music in Frieren is so much better 💕

mariacake

The lesbians 🤣

joursh

bro im freaking dying 😭😭the timing of cannon saying "did fern really slime that chic!?!?" and then seeing the title is actually frying the crap out of me

joursh

frieren is so good bruh you guys arent crazy it really is just peak

Daniel Daniel

LOL that timing is hilarious 😂

joursh

these next few episodes are soooo insanely good... i cant wait like actually cant wiat

Daveeed

LMAO I can't believe I didn't notice that

Fernando

This lost anime of the year..

joursh

really glad yall are giving wirbel his props, hes one of the most capable mages and hes also one of my favorite characters. also has the same voice actor as jean from AOT if you guys didnt notice !!

joursh

if its comments you want... its comments you'll get...

joursh

this ones for jack (since i heard him grumbling about wirbel and how he should've just caught one himself)--- its a little subtle, but it does show and tell us why its so hard to catch a stille. they're practically impossible to detect by mana, so unless you get really lucky and stumble across one, it's just not possible to catch one by ordinary means (excluding frierens party, they had a plan that would only work with the mages in that party). its why sense, proctor of the second test, was calling genau (first test proctor) out for the design of this test. it's not a test to gauge the skill of the mage and ability to catch a stille, its to see who's good in battle and can come out victorious against other mages. the easiest, and most logical way to pass this exam is to simply steal a stille from another party right before the exam is over. its practically a glorified pub fight or a CoD FFA game. that's why wirbel and his party decided to attack fern's party for their stille. wirbel had ALL the tools at his disposal to catch a stille, and simply couldn't due to the unfairness of the test, which relies on luck. it's not that he didnt want to catch one legitimately, he just never got the chance.

joursh

totally agree with cannon, this is genuinely peak every episode

joursh

carter 100%. the powerscaling and overall scale of mages and magic was a lot simpler and concise before this arc. the reason is because frieren has no real need to expand outside of the basics, given that she's as strong as she is. that also applies to fern, who she taught with the same ideology, that mages of this era can be defeated with only basic offensive and defensive magic.

joursh

this episode is one of my favorites in season 1, completely agree with cannons enthusiasm. seeing all the different types of magic (land, scharf, richter) and ways they can be utilized (wirbel's binding spell), specifics of spells (wirbel's binding spell), and some lore on the essence of magic (from ubels perspective), is just so magical to me. pun intended. it's just so awesome to see so much fresh content and expansion after 20 odd episodes of basic magic and smaller scale spells from a select few mages.

joursh

great comment

joursh

THE GOATTT THATS MA BOY

joursh

fern popped her super lol ehre never stood a chance

joursh

fern's fighting style is like bringing an AK-47 to a fencing match 💀💀

joursh

loved wirbel's backstory and his motivations/character the first time i watched. really glad you guys also like him so far

rayman

right, they can only go based off the mana they detect and Frieren is giving off as much as an old mage

corLeonis

Ok let's go to the next episode

Zai Yuka

the cliffhanger killed me during the weekly release (Denken is the goat, you'll see)

cristina

im so happy you guys are loving this arc and this show in general :)

Aleksss

I love love love thiiis showw

Pudding

Arghhhhhhhhh I need another Frieren upload NOWWWWWWWW

Pudding

We're gonna suffer so much with only 1 ep per week in season 2😭

Pudding

Yesss, I love it

Pudding

Very much agree too, there's a reason I binged it. I was hungry for more episodes

suzy

I’m SOOOO excited for the second exam UGH I CAN’T WAIT

Pudding

Frieren as a show still feels so underestimated by people who haven't watched it, probably why Solo Leveling won

Pudding

Great comment, thanks for clarifying this

alex anderson

He saying there is a more American or non Japanese audience for those shows you mentioned other than frieren, due to its popularity. I also would imagine most people in this patreon are not Japanese natives, even if in Japan shows like MHA are still more popular, so by these two things, it makes sense that there is less interaction for this show compared to others.

Pudding

Wirbel's VA (Kisho Taniyama) is Jean from AOT Genau's VA (Tarusuke Shingaki) is Lemilion from MHA Denken's VA (Jiro Saito) is Theo Magath from AOT, and Leol/Hagya from HxH Übel's VA (Ikumi Hasegawa) is Vladilena Milize from 86 Richter's VA (Eiji Hanawa) is Nicolo from AOT and Hound dog from MHA (the hero with a muzzle) Laufen's VA (Shizuka Ishigami) is Makio from Demon Slayer and child Thorfinn from Vinland Saga Ehre's VA (Kanae Ito) is young Boa Hancock from One Piece and another Amazon Lily npc Lawine's VA (Sayumi Suzushiro) is Kurena from 86 There were some other roles from minor characters that I chose not to put cause not super memorable

Poragami

You could've atleast given us 2 episodes of Frieren...

Pudding

I love Übel's design sooo much idk why. The designs in this show are so simple yet memorable, and good

Pudding

Stark chilling somewhere

Pudding

Great comment x2

Pudding

Flamme was so right about teaching Frieren how to suppress her mana. It's not even just for demons, but human enemies as well. They get confident and lower their defenses. Just imagine, if Frieren was walking around with all that mana, the people in this competition would know they can't win in that aspect, so they'd try to outsmart her, which might succeed. But people thinking their strength is enough to beat Frieren, makes it much easier for Frieren to win. She just has to catch them off guard.

Pudding

There's something so yummy about this show, makes you want more

Pudding

Hmm true, I guess anyone who lives that long is expected to be stronger than others simply because they've had more time to train/experience stuff

Pudding

Me tooooo!!! All their designs are so good, I wanna know about the stories of each. In other shows, I'm usually not that interested in side characters.

Pudding

And what are we gonna do when we get only 1 ep per week in season 2😭

Pudding

Sometimes simple is best😎

jrnoodles

Thanks Geks! Dang cliffhanger!

Chosos Wife

FRIEREN S2 TRAILER JUST DROPPED. Shit had me crying. I'm so ready.

Chosos Wife

Oh i KNEW Laufen sounded familiar

Half_-Face

What didn’t you understand lol? If something is less popular it’s just common sense that it would lead to less Patreon comments as more people would have seen MHA and One Piece than Frieren

Animeke

It's his schizo arc, you hate to see it.

Valentina Sanchez

Cannon, you would love Sarah Pavan’s (Olympic volleyball player that’s reacts to anime) husband.. he is a hyped as you, and for all the same good reasons as you. It is a very nicely written world

Keloz

i love ur ideas for serie :D

DontFailArtSchoolEren

This show is just solid, it doesn't have crazy modern hype orchestral music or super flashy demon slayer animation its just all-around solid with great pacing.

Cece

YESSSSS ANOTHER FRIEREN REACTIONNN!! I love all the characters to some degree, even if they might have an ulterior motive it's still fun to see what they bring to the table. yesss I can finally watch the reactionnn and it's kinda ironic because I'm studying for my exams and they're watching the exam arc lol. Happy ya'll are enjoying this, excited for the next one!

Michael Velasquez

This is my favorite part of the season. I too react the same when the episode ends lol it just so good

Juanca

The trailer for the 2nd season looks amazing! Cant wait!

sz

THIS ARC IS SOOO GOOD

LuvStarburst

was freaking out that my shit was cancelled but I forgot I got a new card and I just didn't change it out yet.

Ivan

2nd season trailer looks peak

Sy4f

This is off topic but will you guys release Worlds final stream vod here? 🥹

Brooke C

Geks! Will you watch the season 2 trailer? I just saw it today as I was like 👀👀👀

Yuion

Let them finish the season first

Brooke C

Yup! Whew the s2 trailer got me so hyped up. Jan 2026 will be so peak

Gilster

Ubel so tuff

Picasso

No way I just got a OP notif, and it’s gone already 😭😭

Kite

lol I thought I was crazy

Alan

I think the uploaded the wrong ep

Charybdis

When I'm having a bad day a new Gek upload always makes it better.

farkzzy

they had to reset permissions on an old vid because of access problems and it resends the noti

Stephanos Stavrou

I agree with Cannon that Frieren is peak. Frieren lost to Solo Leveling Season 1 (not Season 2) because the voting period started after Season 2 of Solo Leveling aired. It was just unlucky for Frieren, it would have won otherwise. Also the upcoming episodes of the season (and this arc) that the Geks will watch are one of the best, especially the last 4 episodes to finish the season. Can't wait to see their reaction to Serie scenes in the upcoming episodes. :D

Jenny D

Glad you guys are liking it. I also liked Wirbel as well. This episode is definitely one of my favs of the season. Seeing all the types of magic and seeing Fern cook. That's why I ended up binging these last few because of the cliffhanger episodes. Excited for the next drop!

TheSauceGuy

I considered that, but do Patreon comments really matter compared to YT ones?

Killua X

One of the toughest delivered lines from Wirbel here when Ubel tried to attack him from behind: "you'll turn an unnecessary kill back into a necessary one". Love Wirbel's character and leave it to Frieren, one of the rare shows that can introduce a character and make us feel connected and intrigued in half an episode. While other shows struggle to make us care for an MC after 10 episodes.

Dingo

Just wait till ep 25/26 and they will be right next to you with anime of the year....ltrust me. It's anime of the year

Brooke C

Fern spamming zoltraAK-47 💅💅💅

mariacake

The season 2 trailer of Frieren just released!!! I'm so hyped!

LuvStarburst

Cannon the anime community largely agrees with you that Frieren should have won. Solo leveling was good, but this story and how it gets you involved is just 10 times better especially since the anime of solo leveling left out some great parts from the manga.

Bobbe

I go in hating on everyone but end up loving them all too 😂

Animeke

Frieren really should've won AOTY, but hype always wins in the end.

Terry C

Frieren def left a bigger impact on me than Solo Leveling. More depth to the story for sure. Solo Leveling was a fun watch though.

PT21

Best new gen anime. No debate.

J

Wilting

GBuckets

You guys have to drop ep 25 and 26 together. I don't care if you skip the drop date for 26, but those two episodes must be watched back to back.

GBuckets

you haven't seen the whole show have you because this show has one of the best animated fights in anime and the music was fantastic.

kivu_king

its my first time watching this show, and it has been phenomenal. Mad House is truly goated Blue Lock is a show that dives a bit deeper into the concept of luck, and basically people that are "lucky" are those that act and put themselves into positions where they can draw the winning number, while others sit on sidelines and complain. blue lock kinda got the one punch man treatment in season 2, where pretty much until the last few episodes, the animation is mid, but even so i think its the most hype show in recent years and worth checking out

kivu_king

check out ping pong the animation if you havent, it pulls off in 11 episodes, what 99% shows cant in a 100. (in terms of characters and their arcs)

DontFailArtSchoolEren

i have seen this many times as it was refreshing to see other reactors answer on if its anime of the year worthy/still rank 1 on MAL. Im not saying the music wasnt great but its the same few tracks playing for the entire show and the animated fight is solid, nothing like onepunchman or mushoku tensei, again it does a ton of things great but not exceptional because it relies on the viewers own retrospection and filling in the gaps of any emotional storytelling since frieren is such a stoic/quiet character. Its just a very differently paced show from all the flashy shounen that made it stand out to me, like Overlord where your more interested in the world and characters around the MC.

wanira 11

If there's one thing that one piece fans have, it's patience 😂

Vallll

Will you react to the trailer? I’m waiting to watch it with you guys 🥹

relyct

Ehre wasn’t completely wrong to call Fern’s magic “characterless,” because it kinda is. As Übel points out, many mages see their magic as an expression of their personality, and they take pride in creating unique techniques. Since every mage can use basic attack/defense spells, Fern relying only on those (bcs Frieren told her she doesn’t need anything else) can feel dismissive to those who pour themselves into developing personal magic. I don’t agree with Ehre, but I get why a mage with her values would see it that way. Her name literally means “honor”, and she clearly honors individuality in magic. But Frieren’s approach is valid too. With her experience, she knows basic spells are often the most efficient. Ehre’s own spell requires her to fly while firing; flight alone must drain a ton of mana. It’s flashy and effective, sure, but not exactly efficient. Someone mentioned in this or the previous episode that personal spells are usually unrefined. Frieren’s training philosophy for Fern is basically the Bruce Lee idea: “I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times". Modern mages seem more like “jack of all trades, master of none".

hhh

let them watch season one first

GBuckets

Anime of the year means nothing, it's basically just whatever is the most popular anime that year. Considering that a big margin of voters are teenagers and people who thinks Freiren is too boring.

Sasha (Yare Yare Daze)

I think Denken is a bit confused. He changed his mind like three times😅

Sasha (Yare Yare Daze)

No debate is a crazy call😅 this is my first watch and I think Hikaru, Takopi, Vinland, Titan are still clearly better and I might forget something too. Or do you mean something else by new gen?

Cyber

very good catch that the 2 exam proctors are decent enough at conceiling their mana outside, so much that the stille was just "vibing" near them. I love how this show really adopts a "show dont tell" mentality once they've established/explain a rule beforehand

Nagi
