shelby

currently in the stream rn

charlie

So excited for you guys to continue this show!

Anya

Carter: "There are more characters than one character in the show" I'm sorry but it's hard to focus when Ella is on screen and what was that jacket pull so sassy 😂

Zorahul

7:25 those are turrets you can build in fallout 4 settlements and their aim is incredibly bad, so the show is true to form lol

tubbagoob

Gotta just think with janky video game logic with this show lol

Anya

"Question is will you still want the same things when you have become a different animal altogether" "ok Kanye" lmaoo fire question btw

TheSauceGuy

I was gonna say, it makes sense if you apply game logic. It's also why stimpaks can do so much (literally reverse broken bones in the game lmao).

TheSauceGuy

Bethesda's unique level of jank that the modders fix, until Bethesda inevitably releases a patch that nobody wanted, which forces both the modders and players to adapt.

TheSauceGuy

The "Econo Savings Package" bottle is just poison that the family used to kill themselves because they likely couldn't afford one of Vault Tec's vaults. The Fallout series has a lot of dark stuff like that lol. Edit: Forgot that this is literally explained in the episode.

TheSauceGuy

14:52 I'm getting "pick up that can" energy from this lol.

TheSauceGuy

I love the songs used in the Fallout radios, and I love Betty Hutton.

Ayoodude

Man I wish y’all didn’t see Lost ..a Lost reaction would be amazing. Shoutout Ben Lioness

TheSauceGuy

Btw, Fallout 4 takes place in the Commonwealth (Massachusetts) and a small part of Maine if you have one of the DLC. Fallout 3 takes place in the Capital Wasteland (Washington, DC), but you also have another part of Maryland, Alaska, and one other interesting location with the DLC. This show takes place in the Mojave Wasteland (California and Nevada), so it's more akin to Fallout 1, 2, and New Vegas. In the Fallout verse, the locations have a huge impact on mutants, culture, faction presence, etc. On the East Coast, the Brotherhood of Steel is a much bigger force. That being said, I'm very glad the show takes place on the West Coast. Edit: Fallout 76 takes place in West Virginia or something. I haven't played it yet.

Sissy Six

I was always intrigued by this show but now I’m actually watching it for the first time with you guys. Digging the vibe so far!

stako

The turret missing is a joke based on the MK I turrets in Fallout 4. They're notoriously super inaccurate unless there's multiple

Anya

Great comparison Cannon! The Ghoul and Cad Bane are similar. Cad Bane was actually inspired by Angel Eyes from The Good, The Bad and the Ugly. You can see the Western genre inspiration! btw when will the Star Wars blue balls end still waiting for The Empire Strikes Back stopping before my all time fave is diabolical! 😭

Anya

Jack: "making me want to play Fallout" okay as much as I wanna learn more about this world don't think I forgot about Expedition 33! Gustave is waiting for you!! 😂

jrnoodles

Thank you! This episode was gruesome.

Cooper White

If yall dont understand Ben linus is character from Lost which is played by the same actor

Luffers

At 25:25, Lucy keeping her gun raised while she is only asking for directions feels like a deliberate nod to the game. In the games, you are almost always walking around with your gun out, casually aimed at people even during completely normal conversations 😅

Marlon Douglas

How this show beats Arcane season 2 on video game adaptation at GAME AWARDS ??, don't get me wrong this show seens good so far, but I don't think comes close to Arcane season 2.

Indifferent Denji

It beat for best adaptation and imo the fallout show is better at adapting the feeling of the video game. And the reception for the second season of Arcane just wasnt as strong as the first so people probably voted for what actually met their expectations or went beyond, which fallot sorta did for a live action video game adaptation. Arcane is a great show but i do think this does it better at being an adaptation of the game. The way I saw someone put it was, Arcane probably didnt make many new LoL fans more so it made arcane fans where as the Fallout show made alot of people fans of the game if that makes sense.

Mr. John Kagurabachi

I thought the turrets shooting were so cartoonishly goofy and on the nose that you guys would know it was a joke or something bigger was going on 😭

Arsheley

Y’all would love “From”

jblakk

Ben Linus in the rare air of character to make me hate them then cry for them. Also obligatory get your fix of lost by watching Leftovers.

John Paul

The turret scene only makes sense to people who played the game, in the game those turrets are complete dog water at hitting anything, very lore accurate 💀

Seez .M

Yeah that machine gun scene at the beginning and the bear being killed easily with a gun made me stop watching this show. Only managed to resume it a whole month later. Good thing is that silly illogical scenes like these two almost don't happen after the first 2 episodes, so it does get better.

Mr. John Kagurabachi

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen McKay giddy over some messed up gore and it’s welcomed LOL

Cynicwound223

Started this show for your reactions!😁 so excited for this to continue

Joseph Zavagno

Dogmeat, the dog, is invincible in the game, so the turret gun scene was a nod to that.

Zipzzty

Fr W Show

Zipzzty

0:45 Ben Linus 😂😂

Zipzzty

2:20 Nah bro 😭😭 The Puppy 😂

Zipzzty

3:05 Ben Linus GOATED Peak LOST My Top 5 Shows

Zipzzty

8:15 Fr Crocodile would go CRAZY out here 😭

Zipzzty

9:25 Cannon Cooked

GreetswithJudgement

Waiting for Vikings! Peak Gek for me would be Vikings, Castlevania, Orb, AOT3.0, The Penguin and Black Sails.

Sozin

Ben Linus? Thats Finch, iykyk

rayman

no way, THAT made you stop watching? and it’s a reference to the gameplay for the dog and the turrets

Zipzzty

32:40 😭😭 Crazy work

Zipzzty

Black Sails So Underrated

Lil Mimi

Nah he with the Ghoul w dog

Seez .M

Nah. That scene just didn't make sense.

Seez .M

It didn't translate well to the TV Show..

Seez .M

For people unfamiliar with the games, yes that scene and a lot of the scenes in this episode were really bad.

JustADad 🟣⚫️

Yes, it’s intentional goofy. Mainly because the games also have tons of random goofy interactions and scenarios. It’s part of the world and one of the biggest reasons the fans of the games loved the show because it felt like the creators really knew what the games were like.

engraved

it's almost like it's a GAME adaptation so there's lots of references and easter eggs to the GAME that it is adapted from

Jack

Ahhhh

Misfai

Are these guys not gonna react to any Kdramas??

Jack

No

Jack

I do get that it is a “better” adaptation or at least easier to digest because the source material for Fallout and the feel is much easier to replicate in a show vs the world of Runeterra.

Dreamknight942

Would love to see you guys play fallout 3/4 on twitch ☢️

Garrett Aguilar

The reason the turret was extremely inaccurate was a nod to the game. In the game the turrets are horrible and will miss nearly every shot.

Garrett Aguilar

Also the turrets are in general extremely inaccurate unless you’re standing 2 feet in front of it.

Anya

L Jack you're missing out it's sooo good!

Rumaki21

The worst scen in the entire show was the gun scene with the Dr. Other than that a solid show.

Rumaki21

michael rapaport wasn't acting he really is pos like that in real life.

Bob

You guys should really play a fallout game. The show has a lot of references to it that can look weird without context (the turret missing, in the games its wildly inaccurate). Even like 5 hours of the game can get you the basics down.

LeFlaneur

Yeah play the games, the turret missing is game lore 😂

LeFlaneur

You might have missed it but Cooper’s daughter did mention he was marine. The marine training plus surviving the apocalypse and what came next, not surprising he’s so good at what he does.

Bob

Fallout humor is dark humor with goofy tints.

Poragami

How is it that difficult to understand? Soldiers are SUPPOSED to be fast, not wasting time when putting on clothes for example, ofc u don't realize it until u are a feet deep

Isabel

If I remember correctly in the lore ghouls are pretty durable in combat and can eat a lot of hits

Wonderxfull

The outros are different every time. I do recommend watching them, if not I highly recommend watching the last episode's outro. The goofiness is on purpose, definitely recommend playing some, the show is not based on the people or stories that are told in the games- just set in that world while being a hundred percent accurate (as far as I could tell). The turret missing him at the beginning is accurate to the game, you can absolutely outrun those turrets. Also a bullet to a non-vital area, or even a vital area, are non problematic if you have a stimpak.

Berke Yıldırımer

I dont know why Canon has such a stick up his back when it comes to this show or why everybody is shocked that a mutant ghoul who lived for 2 centuries and can stay buried in the ground no problem for years can tank a few shots lol

Chrissy

Hahaha literally

Chrissy

Y’all really need to understand that this is goofy lol. There are serious and like gory moments. But fallout is quirky and goofy.

Chrissy

Also noticed y’all didn’t pick up on the toaster oven bit lol. The brother hood is looking for relics. A toaster oven would technically be a relic. Imagine dying for an air fryer lmfao.

Chrissy

Also I haaaate Maximus lol

Chrissy

“How does it change biomes so fast” it’s a game. You have to suspend believe. It’s basically a parody if that makes it easier to enjoy lol.

Brett

Ben Linus is GOATED!! But have you seen him in Person of Interest?? Super GOAT there

Stairguy

I might have to mention this in a later reaction for them to see this. But This show is not based on any of the games so they're safe to play. The show takes place in a time period I don't think matters if I say but I won't anyway. The point is that there are no story spoilers in the games.

Nyx

Easily the worst thing in this show by far

Limes_taste_good

It should take place after fallout 4. Dunno about 76 but I ain't fck with 76

Stairguy

Do you think there's any game spoilers then?

Susie Da Rockstar

They weren’t bad YOU just didn’t get the reference 😂

EFFect_Phantom

Haven't watched season 2 but I expect there to be at least minor spoilers for New Vegas, but as for season 1 I wouldn't say there's any spoilers really.

EFFect_Phantom

Yeah 76 is the earliest game in the franchise I believe, it takes place 25 years after the bombs fall
