Aokiji freezing the bay is mostly a tactical move. Whitebeard was using the sea as a weapon so freezing it removes that threat. He kind of opens a way for the pirates to move onto land, but at the same time locks their ships in place which makes changing positions or maneuvering much harder since the Whitebeard pirates would have to actively break the ice to move their ships.

Garp doesn't deserve all this slander, although it's understandable to be frustrated at him at this moment. The "propaganda" here is claiming Garp is a "bum" and some dog of celestial dragons which is simply not true. Also Garp didn't force Ace to become a criminal/pirate and Ace is not even his real grandson but out of his good will he saved him as a baby and became his loving grandfather.

@reefat Bakht- I’m referring to Toei’s filler not Oda’s insertion of buggy. Toei likes to extend scenes by adding their own bits. This is part of the reason comedy lands better in the manga rather than the anime because it’s not overused

The parallels I refer to are mostly visual and only sometimes story. It's deliberate character design. Same with how Blackbeard and Usopp are darker complexion and have long noses, they fought their captain/fleet commander. It's not deeper than that

If not, at least when they watch it they should watch 482 and 483 together as one session for best viewing experience. They can also take a break after to refresh and continue onto the next session.

Impel Down adding 50% runtine in the anime is a pacing issue, inserting random anime only scenes (buggy joke #7153) is part of bad pacing. Impel down has more episodes then manga chapters man. 50% of the runtime was filler
