Seth Aasland

pineapplegreg

Emily Rose

The vibes are BEYOND immaculate

Grae

LETS GOOOO

Grae

Loved all the stark stuff in this episode.

christopher

glad its back but am scard i dont think they have enought episode in the season to do the gold arc

SuperSayinSolidSnek

In magical societies shopkeepers will often have some sort of trinket or something that allows them to detect magically created currency. It would be much like the iodine pens we used today to check that US currency is printed on Cotton and linen, or the plates people would ring money on in the past, or even the simple act of biting a coin to ensure that it's gold. In this world, magic has existed with humans for more than long enough for many such spells and counters to have come and gone. Counterfeiting is always a constant battle between new techniques and new ways to thwart them.

Vallll

We need the rankings video now

Hyped Toj

FRIEREN FRIDAYS ARE BACK BABY WOOOOOO

cozo

you guys forgot to spam the periods in between the words on the title

Lock in

so season 2 has been confirmed for 10 episodes. now while this season should be still great, its Season 3 "content" where all the manga readers are hyped for.

sil 🧸ྀི

yayyyy frieren friday!!!🫂✨✨✨

alex anderson

What a season of anime man. This and JJK are gonna pull me along through the spring semester.

Seth Aasland

I loved that they highlighted the importance of running away when you feel you need to. A lesson learned many times in D&D campaigns… especially with a devious DM

Emily Rose

I love how much effort they put into animating even the smallest of movements and details. Like they did not skimp out on ANYTHING

Umar

Are we gonna get Naruto movie today or what's the plan?

Booger

If a lot of people are starting to use magic I doubt anyone would value that stone

Umar

and opening reactions

keyton bush

I thought keeping the stone may be a good idea for Stark to have in combat… until they fell down the hole and wouldn’t have been able to fly with it

AJCoCoQueen

I LOVE this anime ✨ I actually got teary eyed during a few points in this show. This show EMBODIES emotions. This show is such a honor to experience 🥹 Love EVERYTHING about this anime 💕

jrnoodles

Thank you! It's back! I love it. This episode went by so fast. The vibe is back. I'm ready for my comfort show.

James

Dang, my Patreon is already popping with Frienen reactions. I’ll has to wait a few days before I’ll able to watch the first episode on my own.

.Koen

my show is on!!

H

The story moves at a slow pace, but it never gets boring and rather it keeps me pleasantly engaged.

victoria t

Why don’t they just conjure a rope and tie the stone to the rope and drag it behind them 😂 or have stark walk behind them a bit with it

Naturemyth

This show just hits right

Anton Sakshaug (Jancked)

so ready for some nice chill vibes to distract me from the horrors of the culling game

Seth Aasland

This anime is just *stifles back a cry and wipes tears* so beautiful

LuvStarburst

I have pasta from The Cheesecake Factory and I'm ready to watch this shit.

Pudding

HELL YEAH BEST WEEEK

Chayma

PEAK IS BACK

Daniella

Frieren is back!! The intro is so so good hit me right in the feels. From what the story has showed us so far, I feel like Stark and Fern won’t get together until the end of the story. The romance between them is kind of tied to their journey to Ende in a way. Just as Ende represents emotional understanding rather than a true ending, their bond is about learning how to live alongside another person rather than reaching a romantic “destination.” Like love isn’t found at the end of the road, but is created along the way. If that makes sense 😭

Jenny D

Forgot it was back! I'm excited to watch the first episode!

Dreamknight942

I’m so excited, literally tears in my eyes when we see our favourite two parties past and present on screen ♥️

april 🍏

Fark crumbs in the first episode 😮‍💨 we are so back

Ayoodude

Right back into it

Cade

watching this for the first time with you guys to maximize the hype

Davide

AAAAAAAAAAA THANK YOU FRIEREN THANK YOU GEKS MY HEART IS FULL UNTIL NEXT FRIDAY

Cade

LOL THE WHITEBEARD mustache is peak mckay, glad to see you enjoyed his character as much as i did

Kylie

Marineford, jjk & now Frieren- what a week

Llamadolphin

This show always gives the bests vibes

Hector

Wow this was so good...

Hector

This anime just hits the spot I don't get from other shows

Hector

Yes McKay your right this adaptation is generational

Elio

It should’ve been Black Clover, Fire Force, or Hell’s Paradise. 💔

Hahaha

frieren is better than all those shows 💔

Elio

Black Clover is the greatest new-gen anime, and it’s not even close. Fire Force is absolute peak easily one of the best of the new generation. Demon Slayer is straight-up TRAAASHHHHH 😂😂😂😷 You’d be a laughingstock if you wrote or said this anywhere outside of this comment section😂😂😂 bro you sound like you’re 13 😞😂😂😂

Synyster

bait used to be believable lmao

Tyler

Anime ships are the best you will literally be 7 seasons in and get excited when they finally hold hands for the first time. Need a romance anime reaction from the boys!

walkman

Peakren is back!

GBuckets

That's a completely different vibe from your average animes. Animes are usually very loud and in your face, this show does the opposite and it does it so well that it stands out even to other slow burns of its type

joursh

oh man we're so back baby

GBuckets

So i found out that this season will only have 10 episodes. I haven't read the manga yet so i have no idea what's gonna happen but if i would guess it will cover two shorter arcs and well set up a major arc next season

Nanami's Wife

Oh no!! Now I'm sad, I was 100% expecting another 24 ep for this season as well. This does makes me more intrigued for the season after this one

_monjiro

I wont allow myself to engage in this manner of folly, I think thats what Himmel the Hero would have wanted. 😤

Nanami's Wife

Yes! I would love to see them watch more romance anime. Hoping they do apothecary diaries towards the spring time. Would love to see all the boys together react to it

Nanami's Wife

I desperately want to see their reactions to the Naruto openings especially

GBuckets

I did some research and if i’m right they are saving a certain arc for season 3 which is considered the best freiren arc. I also read that due to a shorter season 2, season 3 will release much faster, so we probably won’t have to wait too long for season 3. My guess is that they are saving their best for S3

_monjiro

Please watch the OP and ED next week when Jack gets back PLEASE I cant take the yearlong waits anymore 😂

Nanami's Wife

That makes me so happy!! I was mostly afraid of us having to wait for a year+ for s3. Now I'm even more excited for s3

Zaptozz88

Fridays just got alot better for MONTHS! Great reaction as always Geks <3

CHIEF

We got JJK, Fallout, and now Frieren? This is one of the best tv show seasons/upload schedules we've had in a minute imo. Now what could've been if OPM s3 was any good...

CHIEF

TORADORA!! That and Komi are like the only two I've watched tbh I haven't dabbled much

Dub_quinn

I love how happy the geks are to watch Frieren, such a good journey

CHIEF

Bro I was so mad watching they didn't have Stark just walk 15ft behind or in front of them until they got to the next town and get whatever they could for the stone, would've literally been a huge gift to whatever shopkeep they got anything for it from.

CHIEF

Oh you literally said that the second I resumed lmfao

Umar

Black lung Sanji don’t say that bro Naruto is peak

Umar

Yeah those are the best opening imo I’m getting chills just thinking about them reaction to it and loving it lol

Dub_quinn

It makes me so glad when the geks get into the romance, cause same!

Melizé

I cried, in a good way, while watching this episode. What a great time to be alive ♥

Melizé

Fridays just got a whole lot better

Musoko

JJK FRIDAYS AND FRIEREN SATURDAYS?? THE WILL TO LIVE HAS NEVER BEEN HIGHER 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Nasty

JJK airs thursdays and Frieren fridays

Nasty

You saying Hells paradise is a demon slayer copy? wtf demon slayer is the middest of mid. Hells paradise actually has a story and interesting setting and characters.

Grae

WE'RE GENUINELY SO SPOILED THIS SEASON

Golden Pants

I mean honestly, the more of those stones that are in circulation, the worse for Frieren in the long run lol. Could you imagine if she had to fight a warrior like Stark who was decked out with those things in their armor? She'd be cooked.

Hahaha

bait or complete idiot?

Alex Ramos

Literally it’s All Mights one singular ember we’re protecting for #Fark / Stern

Amanda Reutermo

babe wake up, my favorite reactors are reacting to my favorite show again

Grae

Time zones

Grae

Why is it that the people with the worst anime takes always spam emoji's

Mr. John Kagurabachi

It’s goated how much cannon loves Frieren. Based King 👌

Astra

The stones seem too important to just be for a small side quest, I think they're gonna play an important part later. It's such a big detail, we just found out there are ways to make extremely powerful mages basically powerless. It would be crazy to just move on as if it's not a big deal imo.

Qhoa

W

Kasumii_

This episode showed us a lot of emotion we don't usually see from Fern (at least not outwardly), particularly her fears towards certain things, being defenseless for pretty much the first time in her life, afraid Stark might feel uncomfortable in our party and might want to leave for another one, she may have been raised into a stoic person by Frieren but she has very human fears deep down Also her grabbing her bracelet when fearing for her life might be the cutest thing ever, even when literally in the hands of the person who gave it to her she still finds comfort in the bracelet, it really shows how much it means to her... Fark might be ship of the decade... behind Jinshi x Maomao hehe

Toidleboy

decent bait tbh, lacks creativity though

Juanca

The manga is on hiatus due to the mangaka’s and artist’s health issues, so I believe that’s also the reason this season is short. Otherwise, they would have caught up to the manga in no time.

marco

I just think of part 1 Kiba whenever I see Virbell from behind with that jacket lol

Juicy D. jaloomba

RAHHHHH!!!!!! FRIEREN IS BACK!!!!!!! IM HYYYPEDDDD!!!!!!!!!

Juicy D. jaloomba

LETS GO FRIEREN AND FRIENDS!!!!!! LETS MAKE IT TO ENDE!!!!

7thdilemma

"Is there a single viewer out there..." Why you want to call me out like that?

Gutzilla3

Ok but imagine if they fell in the sinkhole and they weren't able to stop Starks momentum because the stone was in his pocket. Or they got ambushed and Frieren couldnt sheild him. Or they had to travel by carriage at a certain point like in season 1 and a magic bird attacks them. I kinda thought it was dumb to but know that I think about it, it kinda makes sense.

Daniel Mulladzhanov

I don’t think a small town has billions let alone millions to give em and I’m assuming it’s a lot of miles to the next castle or city like in the first episode. Lot of danger in between to constantly

DonDuh103

Weird a Friday with no Naruto😭 haven’t watched this drop yet hope is good!

kri

`plsss react to the frankenstein movie

Umar

I guess we aren't getting the movie today...damn you Carter you just don't bother watching more Naruto😩

Justin ⟢

Absolutely stacked 2026. This might be one of the greatest years of anime ever.

misa

10 eps won't cover or reach 2 of the upcoming fan fav arcs 😔💔.... but I understand they need to buy some time for the authors. The animators added more touches than what was in the manga for this chapter/episode that were really nice, so I trust that the studio knows what they're doing! You can definitely tell the direction is just a little bit different. Previous director and assistant director merely switched roles I think? So it's still the same crew but the previous director said he worked himself to the bone on the first season so he has to take a backseat so he doesn't burn out on this one. So really can't complain. Work culture in Japan is ROUGH. Still holding out that it's a split cour situation though 😭✌️

misa

Love the morning vibes for frieren fridays

GooberM

i love when Stark was carrying them while running, Fern was scared for her life praying, and Frieren was just smiling, having a good time and reminiscing of the good ole days

This is Daniel

I am so happy Frieren is back! I was definitely getting continual feels throughout the episode. It's just perfectly paced and presented, every time. Most definitely rooting for Fern and Stark. PS - season 2 has topped my anime list, knocking Frieren season 1... we're only an episode in 😅

Hector

Theres no OPM S3

suzy

MY FREE THERAPY IS BACK

suzy

Me too Canon I’m so grateful 😭😭

Jared

Cozy peak is back

CHIEF

That's why I'm saying, get literally whatever they can for it, the shopkeeper would end up selling it and probably be able to retire lmao. No reason they can't get enough gold for food for a year, and the buyer wouldn't mind getting it for that I'm sure. Just bc it's worth "billions" doesn't mean they need to get that for it lmao.

CHIEF

Even large ones don't seem to have much range, she's a mage obv and we've never seen her fight close range like Werbel or that creepy girl, I think she'd be fine if they sold ONE stone for a year's worth of food or something.

Iris

Yay, Frieren is back!!!!

Maria

They need to watch a romance anime so bad lmao I love how giddy they get whenever there's a little romance in these shows <3 let them watch something cute and fluffy!!!!!!!

Chosos Wife

If you like slow burn romance you'll enjoy Apothecary Diaries. The main character is basically Frieren and Fern combined in terms of Frierens personality and Ferns slow burn romance. It's also quite funny and does have mysteries etc it isnt a romance it just has romance in it.

Chosos Wife

I really hope Fern and Stark are end game. I want Frieren to experience their love the way she should have experienced Himmel 💙💚😭

Tyler

Not a romance anime but my dream react from them is Banana Fish or Given would be cool too

Musoko

Australia Timezones B)

Elle

Agreed with Cannon, with this show that didn’t seem like subtle Fark at all, if this is Fark crumbs I’m excited for Fark meals

AvaRISE

Can't get enough of Frieren, peak show!

Bisky

When you watch the opening with Jack please also see the ending! The art is so amazing

Brooke C

You know what this could be a stretch but I feel like Frieren is keeping track of time, but the time is how long Himmel has been dead.

Dontsop Keran

If this manga don’t end with Fern and Stark married with kids ima riot

Jenny D

I definitely think Fern and Stark are endgame. I do like that they weren't completely naked when he walked up on them. We see that so much in anime where the guy walks up on the girl(s) bathing and we see more than we need to. This is a great start to the series. I think I saw this will only be 10 episodes long? Kinda bummed. I like longer seasons.

Jmann

Yeahhhhh the manga is on a hiatus now unfortunately. There probably would’ve been 20something episodes but I think they split it in two because of the hiatus.

Jmann

So sad

Jmann

Hmmm 🤔

Jmann

I hope you guys watch the intro and the outro soon with Jack. This pencil animation thing they did in the outro is soooooo sick

DonDuh103

Who’s kidnapping all the Geks!?!

Emily Rose

Oh my god the soundtrack is so good

Scared Cannon

STOP HAVING FUN I NEED MY FRIEREN REACTION 😡😡😡😡

Vextipher

Good first episode, but things like that crystal being tossed after them talking money issues is a big ugh from me.

Alex

There are several ways to justify it. Just off the top of my head I imagine it's very unwise to carry around an item that can nullify two thirds of the the party and make them completely vulnerable. Even if Stark were to carry it ahead of or behind of them they would still be at risk. Carrying around your own cryptonite is dangerous. Secondly, even if they are low on funds at the moment, I think they are confident in their ability to generate new funds. And I feel like a party like Frieren's don't mind doing the odd jobs anyway. Even if they can mitigate the risk, I can picture them opting to leave the crystal simply because it would isolate Stark on their journey, and it wouldn't be enjoyable for them. They're not looking to get rich, they're looking to enjoy their adventure to Ende.

Vextipher

That's fair, as long as the plot doesn't drag on becuase of money it's not too big a deal for me and so far looks good.

DonDuh103

Cannon is the honored one!
