I really appreciate the Invincible reactions, I know people can get very opinionated about the show and it can get kinda toxic. I know the show has some pretty low lows but I am glad that people can enjoy the highs.

Personally enjoyed the lore in the 4x4 episode but the lazy decisions deserve to get shit on. No cerberus fight and hell being bland af (no kingdoms or rulers or castles). Would have been better if they only had it for half an episode and the rest was more of debby focus before omniman walked up to the door. But I hope Kirkman doesnt shy away from fantasy/magical stuff like that in the invincible universe. Somehow one of the only shows I enjoy sci-fi stuff in.

Mark choosing to choke Conquest was his best option, he knew he wasn’t strong enough to beat him in a battle of strength and battle IQ especially considering Conquests attrition. Choosing to choke him and using his own attrition as a way to ultimately win no matter the cost, all Mark had to do was hold on with everything he had. If they went fist for fist 1v1 Conquest would have definitely won especially considering in their last fight Conquest wasn’t taking Mark seriously.

I always give the character of mark a hard time because he only ever gets his ass kicked and then resorts to acting like an angsty teen but, I give him props for his fight with Omni man and this fight as well. He definitely pulled a himmy turner this episode

@Zu Conquest explained it as his own arrogance. The entire time he was fighting Mark he was claiming it was fun and a game. Makes sense you don't instantly kill something you find as a fun toy, especially when you think you can do it anytime you want.

In Episode 2 they said Viltrumites have healing powers and was reduced for a brief time. That's why Conquest has a arm missing and scars. Also for people wondering why didn't Conquest just break Marks arms. Allen said it best Viltrumites have massive egos. So Conquest was seeing how long Mark can hold on for.

Not animating the Cerberus fight wasn't a lazy decision, it was because the fight would be boring and pointless. The only point of being down there was to grab the crown. If they had animated what we didn't see, we'd see Mark toss up Damien, fly around punching Cerberus a few times until Mark got it far enough away from the crown so he could grab it, catch Damien and dip. You really wanted them to animate that? A few flying punches to grab the crown and dip? Nah, they didn't animate it and it was a good decision. I'll agree with hell being bland but, it is hell. They seem to just live in caves. And that storyline with Vocanikka/Satan will resume.

The entire episode is a plot point. If you skip it, when those characters inevitably come back again in another episode, you'll be confused. These are continuing story arcs that re-appear multiple times.

There’s nothing past this point in the comics that genuinely is worse than this, gore wise. Maybe some like “OHHH shit” death scenes but nothing on this level and maturation of themes. He’s either trolling or ragebaiting or just young.

If viltumites dont lose their head or heart they can regenerate. only reason conquest didnt with his arm and head was bc of the scrouge virus. He got hurt while he had the virus in him. After he healed from the disease hes able to regenerate again, hence why his skin grew back

the dinner scene made me tear up. As soon as everyone is seated debbie never gets up from that table and eventually she is the last one. She wanted that dinner to last as long as possible before her boys go off for god knows how long with a chance of never coming back.

What isnt explained very well in the show is that they do hold their breath while they are in space, so when Mark said "Youre never breathing again" he meant it literally. It explained it better in the comic but when Mark saved Oliver and smashed into conquest it was before he could take a breath so Mark was choking him knowing he hadnt had fresh air otherwise he wouldnt have tried to choke him bc Viltrumites can go awhile without breathing

I’ve gotten this far its not like im gonna stop now. and its not that I necessarily dont like violence in a story I just hate when a story relies too much on it for shock value instead of like actual good writing. and don’t get me wrong I think invincible is all and all a pretty well written show but the fact of the matter is, if invincible didn’t have excessive amounts of gore and dark content it probably wouldn’t be half as popular as it is and thats just kinda sad to me.

Yeah we also did that, Canada goes hard when it comes to education, but that's also why we are the most educated country on earth. It's not like we were forced to watch it, & being 12 a parents authorization was needed. We were disecting frogs in grade 6 & pigs/goats in high school as well as a different live birth video in high school biology.
