I was once again just laughing out loud multiple times: the random anvil, the carotid, the roses. Man how is this part this funny 😂 What a fun episode. Hell even the fight itself was not too bad, yes the ice stuff does kinda come out of nowhere but the little trick Jonathan pulls to counter that is kinda well thought out. Even the final clash between Jonathan's hamon vs Dio's ice is cool. Also loved how McKay just completely digs the unpredictable nature of the show. Bro is in for a ride.

Musical references in this episode: Doobie (the zombie with snakes on his head) is a reference to the American rock band The Doobie Brothers. The 4 zombie henchmen at 19:12 (Page, Jones, Plant, and Bornnam) are named after the 4 member of Led Zeppelin (last names). I forgot to mention Adam's (the tongue zombie) from last episode being a reference to the Canadian musician Bryan Adams. I can't wait for this part to be over, it's the weakest part of the series. Episodes 4-8 are such a slog to get through on a rewatch lol.

there is one of the best still shots in this episode. When Dio's face is split and as Jojo is saying Sunlight Yellow Overdrive, only the half of Dio's face in the forefront reacts to Jojo about to attack. The whole section with his face split apart is just art. I can't even imagine having to draw that and animate it where the halves look out of sync but are moving simultaneously. Also how emotions read across the face but not always symmetrically or at the same time. so well done.
