***SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVENT WATCHED*** The Caine crashout(s) were beautiful. Alex(Caine’s VA) outdid himself in this episode. I was genuinely terrified of Caine, like you could not predict what he wanted to do. Pomni did the best thing by distracting Caine, but oh man. Him torturing them with their greatest fears/insecurities? nuts. Im so hype for the finale

Fun fact: the finale has made over $5 million in presales for theaters. This means that p much all the other shows that Glitch is making are funded! (Gaslight District, Knights of Guinevere) Also if yall go to the theaters, I would not be mad at all! Its coming out two weeks before it comes out on YouTube(Glitch tried to get it sooner, but theaters wouldnt let them). I’d be sad abt missing the first reaction, however I think second watches are always fun to see as ppl can miss stuff first time around. Either way, here to support yall 🫡

IM BOUT TO ULT. so on the computer files like yall said those are scan files. which means there might not be people connected to the circus but rather the circus made a copy of their brains which is the characters we know and love. cannons theory about them being in comas or maybe even dead is entirely possible since it would explain why they were put in the circus after the og cast. we also have clues bout gangle having some type of trauma bout getting hit by a truck as well as jax driving around and it coursing him panic (maybe he crashed and got in a comma/killed someone or he might be the one that hit gangle) then we hear that scratch also had a tumor in his head and could be a reason why he designed caine to make adventures. it is entirely possible that not all of them are hurt since its a file and not their brains that are in the circus which means they could have put on the headset and take it off without knowing it made a scan of their brains that remained in the circus. this would also drive home the sentiment pomni shared about not trying to leave and just enjoy the circus for what it is since they arent actual people but rather scans of brains. another fun fact is that all the characters have counter parts to the og book "I have no mouth and i must scream" except for pomni. this allows the show to end very diffently from the book

To some degree i do feel bad for Caine. Like he said he didn’t ask to be created, he was a program that was set to have one goal and do it right. But he was defective and the developers made another that was better than him. Then when he tries to prove himself as good enough he has humans (his creators) tell him that he’s a failure. But the fact that it showed he was actually listening to them because he showed them their worst fears and insecurities…yeah he had to go lmao

I hear you Carter lol, I think Caine is genuinely my favourite character. It's so tragic how even during his outbursts at the humans this episode he talks so self-deprecatingly. "I never asked to be created". Him being deleted kinda killed me ngl. Gooseworx (the creator) even made a post replying to Caine's voice actor discussing his character saying "it was pretty intentional to make him only say the word 'hate' when referring to the humans hating him." My poor little misunderstood boy who just wanted the humans to love him. My copium says he'll come back in the finale but I genuinely have no idea lol. Super excited for the theatre drop (praying I'm able to see it here in the UK), and also super excited to watch for a second time along with you guys!

Also also, when Jax blamed Caine for messing with their brains last episode, Caine said something about changing anything major being really bad. Than Kinger immediately mentioned Scratch, the first abstraction. Caine may have tried to remove his tumor and failed miserably

Like its been a while since I read it, and the memories kind of meld with the point and click game... I could see Nimdok being Kinger, maybe Benny is Zooble since they both kind of had their bodies/identities fucked with by Caine/AM.

Dont remember exactly where but I found this comment a bit ago and its very interesting "There is so much information we get here. On the computer when kinger is trying to turn off caine you can see a ton of things; Caine was made (or atleast sent to this computer) october 15th 1996, something called Paraphernalia engine was added the same day along with the "Wacky Watch" and "Bubble-Chef". In 1999, Oct 15th we see Scratch's data get added and in 2008, Oct 15th we see Ragatha get added. As Kinger is trying to put Caine to sleep we see in the code that Kinger's permissions are restricted by something and he sees in the popup "ERROR Can/not inject torment. torment must be 100% accidental" which is either the system seeing him glitch out since he shouldnt be allowed to hurt the humans or it's a flag in Caines code that he is made to be bad at making adventures and he physically cannot succeed. Kinger keeps going though and something that i'm guessing is the second AI aks "on what grounds are your authority" and kinger inputs an exploit that he supposedly programmed in before he went into the circus and the second AI responds "whoa when did you make that? I must hand it to you Gr(ant?)your mind was always resourceful. " edit: someone else caught this and thats probably kingers real name. The security system then starts to lock him out of the console and he tries to rush to put in an admin code but either Caine or this second AI changed them and we see the console starts trying to select a more stable on its own and asks if he wants to cancel which he does. The console asks him which backup he wants , A B or C and Kinger picks C but it doesnt take his input and again starts to pick by itself. The option it picks is deleting Caine and Kinger tries to cancel it but the second AI (or just the system itslef being built to be wacky) Inverts his response and continues. The last things we see on the screen is the other AI in the code telling him to "Delete that motherfucker, HAHAHAHAaaaaaaaaaaaa" --Some of the responses from here are covered so I'll just type them out. in parenthesis will be my guesses. "Proceeding with ORIGINAL d(esign?)" "Actu(ally since) you're CONFUSED let me HEL(P) (indistinguishable) Modu(?) (t)o EXIST? [Y/N] Kinger: "Y" Then the system asks to confirm if Kinger wants to delete Caine and we see Kinger puts in a Y on accident before trying to delete it and trying to abort rhe whole thing. Then kinger gets locked out of the console (that option is now dead) and Caine's file gets deleted."

The thing about the visual judgment is so real. I started with anime about 7 or 8 years ago and it’s still a factor for me when I get into something new. I’m glad yall got to experience this and we all can’t wait to see what happens in the end.

Well in reality they all are an amalgamation of all the characters, taking and mixing traumas, copes and behaviors, but pomni unlike everyone is the one that doesn't really take on any of I Have No Mouth. I think kinger is definitely like nimdok and ragatha is like Ellen. Jax takes from Benny, Ted and even gorrister. In fact think Jax would have been the Ted of this story if not for pomni. Zooble is like benny and Ellen. Gangle is like Ted and gorrister.

Honestly, this was peak 🧘 Such a creative and refreshing story. I was really impressed with the writing too, they portrayed existentialism and how overwhelming life can feel through every single character, especially Caine. Using an AI character to reflect human greed was a great analogy imo. A lot of us are insatiable, for better or worse, and I loved the creators’ take on that through these characters and plotlines. After watching episode 1, I thought this show was some brainrot bs, and omg I couldn’t have been more wrong lmao. Saying I’m excited for the movie is an understatement 😭 tysm for putting me onto some all time peak @geks 🗣️ I really looked forward to every single drop!! I’m sad it’s over, but also glad because I can finally go look for edits on tiktok 🚬 LMAO (especially ones with some Ethel Cain or The smashing pumpkins songs lol)

And I like the rest of the characters equally, I kinda hope we get to see their real life versions in the finale, it would be so cool if they used actual people for that too!!

It’s well known in niche “nerdy” groups, you can’t go to a gaming, comic, or anime convention without seeing cosplayers and merch, but you’re so right it still feels like it’s not getting due recognition. I think the Netflix airing helped, and I hope the theater release will help even more! Indie animation deserve soooooo much more
