This arc is so much more enjoyable with better pacing, it's amazing. I remember the fight with the cool brothers dragging a lot and now it's so much nicer. Trust guys, the cuts may be a bit jarring sometimes, but it's worth it

to become the pirate king you must explore the whole world and find the one piece obviously being strong is mandatory because you need to defeat all challengers, but it's more like a tool for finding the one piece rather than a requirement to be called the pirate king

I want to join the post-timeskip glaze that Carter was talking about in the outro. I love pre-timeskip dearly, but post-timeskip is on a whole different level imo. There will definitely be moments you won't like because Oda still enjoys messing around sometimes, but the scale of the events, world-building, the backstories (!!), storytelling is unreal. I don't think it'll make you feel the same way pre-timeskip did because it has a very different vibe, but it'll give you a lot of new and different feelings instead. Very excited for you to experience this post-timeskip era

To give an idea of how absurd the pacing becomes without spoiling how long the arc is. The worst paced arcs we've had thus far only have 2-3 eps more than their respective manga material. While the arc everyone is talking about will have 16 eps more than there are chapters. We've already been complaining about the 1 ep : 1 chap ratio adaption, so it's crazy to think that pacing caused a 16 ep discrepancy from the manga. Literally bad pacing on its own makes up more than half a seasonal anime💀

Carter, only read this if you want my opinion on expectations going forward You’re gonna love post time skip the lore and world building goes crazy crazy. Genuinely every arc from now on is fire. But idk if you’re gonna feel like you felt in pre time skip. It’s a much larger world can’t only focus on the strawhats. Trust me you still get straw hat development but it’s much more apart of the story than the actual story. Every one piece fan loves where the stories at but we all are nostalgic for the vibes of pre time skip

Punk Hazard really is so much better on better pacing, not like Thriller Bark and Fishmen Island for me personally. I love how the Geks got a good laugh of the whole sequence of Luffy introducing his alliance with Law to the crew, glad they enjoyed it. Thanks for the reaction! I will say I prefer Caesar than freaking Hogback, that man was insufferable (their va are the same as you know).
