I don't know if its been mentioned before, But we have seen Urahara's Shikai, His sword and hilt is different to the standard Zanpakuto (It's the same as when he drew it from his walking stick) When he says "Scream, Benihime." This is info based on before i watched this batch of episodes but still thought it was worth a mention.

It took Ichigo Bankai + hollow mask to overpower Grimmjow and Shinji did it with a sealed sword and his mask lol. Granted, Grimmjow has one arm and was jacked up after fighting Ichigo, but that's still a pretty great feat.

TYBW is proper Bleach. Honestly the original bleach anime is good but it’s an inferior bleach adaption, even Kubo didn’t like the original bleach anime. He has full control of TYBW and you can tell firsthand, it’s the proper bleach adaptation and i can’t wait for you guys to really experience the real bleach

Apparently there is a lot more Ichigo x Orihime romance in the manga before this point that was cut. I guess the director did not like her or something so they gave more moments to Rukia. I have only read part of Thousand Year Blood War, so I don't know the exact details. The anime was taking so long to comeback that I just picked up where it left off. Funnily enough the TYBW anime was announced like a week after I finally caved, so I ended up stopping again. I haven't even read all of that arc.

I was waiting for this episode to finally clarify what happened in the first arc. For manga readers, Orihime being in love with Ichigo wasn't a surprise. In the manga she shows obvious signs of having a crush on Ichigo since the first arc. However, the director of the anime was a super Rukia x Ichigo fan that he removed the scenes of Orihime having a crush on Ichigo, while altering and adding to the chemistry that Rukia and Ichigo had. Kubo had to tell the anime director to stop doing that.

This was already inferenced when he said if the person notices then itll be a violation - so clearly it was never meant to be noticed. She bumped into someone walking and he felt it - so people don't pass through, just inanimate objects, but she also bumped into the chair so...maybe there is more to it. These eps go by so fast. I am also thinking of my own past experience going through this show with all the filler arcs. I wonder how much faster its going to go without them. I can think of one filler arc that was actually really good though. Tis a shame.

I think they're trying to listen and observe what's going on, but the dude on the left keeps talking, even when characters on screen are talking. Quickly sharing your thoughts while still absorbing info on the screen is one thing; constantly trying to pull the attention away of other people because you want them to acknowledge what you're saying is entirely different. It's why he always will lean forward and turn his head in an attempt to make eye contact. I'm just waiting for the guy next to him to crash out because you can tell he's trying to ignore him and focus on what's happening.

Great confession by Orihime, always loved this scene. Ichigo is pretty rough and playful with all of his friends but does treat Orihime differently. He also never uses her first name, always her surname as a sign of respect and getting annoyed at shinji for how he greeted Orihime in class, it’s far more subtle than a lot of shows. Bleach is big on showing you how people feel through their actions rather than telling you.

So many subs get this episode wrong. When Grimmjow brandishes his sword and yells GRIND ("shiré" or "kishiré") it's sometimes mistranslated as DIE ("shiné"), but this one got it right! Basically Grimmjow was about to end the series at episode 140. 👀

I'm so glad y'all picked up on the significance of actual real in-your-face romance being present this early (or just at all) compared to other shounen. It's one of the reasons why I hold Bleach in such high regard. Also we are about to embark on a new arc that has a lot of highs and lows. Just know that unfortunately the lows are frontloaded in the first dozen or so episodes, and then peppered throughout for another ten or so from there. But trust, it absolutely delivers. The highs are higher than SS arc.

Rukia is hundreds of years old and the anime ruined Kubo’s manga in the sense of making it seem like Ichigo and Rukia had any shot of being together, they literally have the most sibling type vibe ever

He didn’t even beat that Lupp char he froze him. I wouldn’t say defeated. Also I said this story had a faster power scale pace so it’s hard to understand characters like captains that are high in the story’s power level seem to be getting beat already or struggling in fights. I seen Aizen is clearly a top villain so makes sense he gets diff. Bleach is very different from the other big 3 where we’re already seeing the heavy hitter fights in the first 100+ episodes. Unlike Naruto or One Piece it’s way later so we get to see the power of character go up little by little. Not that Bleach’s way is bad if anything good but like me a new watcher plus Geks it’s very different. Theres tons of powers that are confusing or not fully explained yet like Sado and Orihime there’s like spells that they use too like Yoruichi somewhat of Ishida but his make little more sense but also Ishida beat a Captains Banki in the first 60ep. I’ll say again doesn’t mean it’s bad or doesn’t make sense it just doesn’t make sense to new watchers that don’t get to see the top power chars be fighting and losing already so early in the show. Geks did not like Fish Man island pretty much or thought it was kinda a snooze but it’s one of my favorite arc but only due to hindsight is why it’s important to me. I still don’t jam down why they should like it and call them idiots for their opinion. You might be blinded by your hindsight but it’s fine no offense just try to defend your character/ favorite story without calling the Geks idiots at least.

And that's just scratching the surface! "Ichigo Kurosaki" contains his entire character description, which is insane! "Ichi + Go" can mean "1 and 5" or "strawberry" or "#1 protector". "Kurosaki" means "black cape"... as in like a peninsula or "Cape Cod". But "Cape" is also a homophone in English, meaning it can also mean "cloak" Put it all together and you essentially get: "A 15 Year old strawberry (haired) black caped protector" THATS LITERALLY HIM!!! I love Kubo’s meticulous details!!!
