I love the subtle character development from Byakuya by helping Rukia and Renji, he's learned the consequences of just blindly following the rules even with the risk of compromising his position (that's why he's the love of my life 🙂‍↕️)

Just because some people find the arc a bit boring or stretched out doesn't mean it will necessitate the same reaction from the geks on a blind first watch through. I feel like the people that talked about the hueco mundo arc saying it was slow because of pacing has probably colored their reaction a bit, and in the end done a disservice to the show. It seems to me like they are sometimes second-guessing if moments, situations or characters are canon or filler/stretched out - or if they are "bount arc" style inserts in the main plot. If one thinks something happening in the show could be filler it's easy to have it feel like a waste of one's time, like every time the bount side characters were on screen when they knew they wouldn't be relevant to the plot at all. I'm not a manga reader so I wouldn't know what was added by the studio btw. The start of Soul Society has some slow parts and side stuff as well but there was never a feeling of "is this simply just studio bs to pad out the time?" since it wasn't on the table. There is no reason to pre-emptively spoil upcomping highs and lows of an arc before they get there. Hope the Geks will enjoy the arc regardless.

Bro said it’s a match up difference when looking at how fast Rukia packed that hollow up and you’re 120% correct. Bleach is 80% match ups, 20% is I have so much spirit pressure that the match up doesn’t matter anymore 😂

I was curious so I checked out the manga chapters from entering hueco mundo to where they are now in the anime and there are only very small additions and scenes added. It's basically the same introduction to hueco mundo as the manga so far. I don't think the Geks need to worry about what's canon/filler/padding and not, and just enjoy the show for what it is, even if it is a bit slower at spots. Edit: For reference it was Manga Chapters 241-248 if anyone wants to compare.

Because it's not her canon hair color, it was a mistake on the anime studio's part. Unfortunately, they decided not to fix their hair colors so they're stuck with what they have. Personally, I prefer Rangiku as a redhead.

100% agree. Setting expectations for something is a terrible way to change someone's experience of something. Especially when saying that things get dragged out to not catch the manga. No one wants to be constantly questioning if what they are watching is filler while they watch something for the first time.

I was honestly curious how you guys would react to Nel and it pretty much went as expected lol she is a bit much but thats because she is a little kid I personally think she is adorable at times but yes can get annoying. For some reason they went with a bunch of comedic relief in this arc but you guys are almost done with this arc with 1 more episode which is the "Hueco Mundo Sneak Entry" arc the next arc is when Bleach starts to pick up again.

I think honestly better to down play arcs and then just be shocked how good it is. So far I’ve definitely enjoyed it for a first watch. Like even these 2 episodes were fun and had some juice with Aizen and Orihime.

I think this arc could have been much better if the early episodes had been paced better. The fights at the start feel slow and unnecessarily stretched out. After a few episodes, the story and animation improve a lot, but by then many people have already lost interest because they didn't find the arc as strong or as exciting at the start as the Soul Society arc. That's just my opinion, though.
