The thing Dio can sometimes levitate with his vampire powers, but flying this fight was a stylistic decision. In the manga this fight occurs with Dio and Jotaro constantly floating because they are using their Stands to jump around kinda like Naruto traveling sequences. The dialogue was just so long that when adapted to the anime they just made Dio and Jotaro fly and you just have assume they are slowly falling to the ground. Don't think too much about it guys. The stopped time sequences also fall under the same logic too, anime time.

To clear up the confusion. Other than the time they started floating from the ora and muda rush punches, Jotaro and DIO are not flying. They're both using their stands to leap and punch across the streets of Cairo. However, because this is an anime adaptation and anime time is a thing, it looks like they're flying because it takes so long for them to get to the next scene that they stand leap. It's more noticeable that they're using their stands to maneuver around in the manga.

Peak episode I just love Jotaro's tricks , and of course in the most jojo fashion way you have in this epic battle some straight comedy : Dio lying down on the ground and listenning for Jojo's heartbeat 😂 Also if Dio wasn't a vampire he would have lost to Jonathan long ago.

Who said anything about the art style lol. I thought it would be “jarring” if they went from the end of part 3 and immediately started part 4 and you learn something new about a certain character. But trust me I get it I’ve been dying to start part 4 forever (I thought we’d be there by now by the geks are teasing us!!!) so it wouldn’t be the end of THE WORLD to get 3x48 and 4x1 together.
