Melizé

Some number, idk. Just glad to be here :)

celery

are we getting ep 7 or next weekend?

BrianTheWoeful

NOOOOO WE NEED EPISODE 7 NOW THE CLIFFHANGER

szeth

Next time you start a show that is known to have a good dub, like FMAB, try the dub episode first then see which you like better because I think that whichever one you hear first your brain just attaches the characters to those voices

Zack

Death Note didn't cost $1,000,000 per episode. Some random website made a list of the most expensive anime and just said that. On their list the 2nd most expensive was $200,000 an episode.

mariah

can't wait for the next episode!!

Jem de Jager

Lol Carter has read the manga

Nash

Are we getting any other reaction today?

Riya

Light’s poker face is high quality 👏

Most "good" dubs are just tolerable, and only stick out because dubs are so universally known to be horrible. You probably have the exact bias that you just mentioned, because you watched those shows in dub first! I would say apart from ICONIC ones like DBZ or Pokemon (who you could argue the dubs are the most popular because how those shows were distributed and introduced to the west), we would NEVER see a non-native English speaker watching an anime in english and reading the subs LMFAO, imagine latinamerican or european audiences watching FMAB with the english voices with portugese subs, it just doesn't happen man.

e riv

Carter's description about L is killing me lol "he's like a little creature."

>>108206094

I said "known to have a good dub" because some shows are just known to have better dubs than other shows and I have heard that is the case with FMAB many times. As for my personal opinion on FMAB is that I like both about equally but dub edges it out because of that bias in me lol, to me the English voices are iconic. The voice of King Bradley is one of the best voice actors in English ever imo anime and not anime, it is sooo good. The fact that you say that I have this bias shows to me that you at least somewhat admit it exists. As for your second point I get what you are saying and I generally agree, you are acting like I am some sub hater when I usually watch sub "LMFAO" I'm just not one of those people who thinks it is the only possible way to watch all anime. I think most dub viewers, if you aren't just getting into a yelling match and try to understand, would agree that sub is better objectively and that isn't actually their point. The point is the dub is better for them because they are native English speakers, and this is what every dub person I talk to when asking them this says. A bilingual person would never choose to watch the dub I don't think. There is a chunk of people who just don't want to read when watching shows. "Most good dubs are just tolerable" This is where I think that bias you admitted exists kinda shows. FMAB dub is not just tolerable to me, I like it a lot. Yes I'm someone who watched it first in dub, however I have seen other dubs that actually were only tolerable or worse even when watching them first. My point isn't to say one side is biased and therefore the other side is right, I'm saying we are both biased lmao and that is why I said maybe they should try a dub first and then see what they think

>>108206094

Like that part about King Bradley, I genuinely think that English voice actor is one of the best voice actors I've heard period across all voice actors, Imo he is not just tolerable

matt

The unrecognizable names are getting too hard to track, is there a way to move to another platform?

Carrie

L is such a weird little gremlin man 🥹💖☺️

Sean Carroll

L is a G, i wont hear any slander

rosa_gris

Y’all clowning on L, but I remember a lot of girls were thirsting over him back then.

Mia Malvik

Highly recommend checking out soundtracks kodoku, Light no Theme and Dirge. Chills every single time even after 12 years. They're on Spotify so no spoilers

bondbond53

Ok guys you mentioned Berserk in previous videos and now you made me read it and now I love it too fucking much and watched the 1997 anime and now you need you guys to react to it. Take responsibility guys lol

James Burge

Can you guys please do a sub vs dub video when you finish the series

Alex Ascencio

I believe it was the movie in 2017 that cost 40 mil to make not the series. I have never heard of any anime costing that much

Jesse Gutierrez

zero chance the budget was 40 million for this anime

Pressure

40 Million Death Note – $1,000,000 Per Episode Prepare to have your minds blown. The cult classic anime series that has found mainstream success globally has a whopping 40 Million overall budget. That puts its per episode at more than 1 Million dollars. Not even a normal live action TV show would cost as much in Hollywood. im just doing this not because i wanna be right but bc its just crazy how its true

all the next 30 episodes is where its my favorite part

Zack
>>108245606

Can you find an example of this being true anywhere other than Fandomwire? You're quoting that list. They said the 2nd most expensive was $200,000. Death Note doesn't cost 5 times the amount to make than other anime

ssj4rit
>>108248803

Unless that comes from a valid source that isn’t some clickbait site, it’s a dubious claim

luffy

vinlaand saga?

James
>>108271184

I believe that they will watch Vinland Saga on Thursdays, and may start uploading the episodes on Fridays.

Mattchu

Is it possible to make a category for all the anime’s it’d be easier to find episodes👍

Julieta Ramirez Poulat

Whenever you guys finish one of the four shows you're currently watching you should watch Haikyu next!! It's amazing in terms of plot, action, and pacing. It would also be a good change of pace from the dark fantasy and fighting. Love your content though!!

Nick McGuire
>>108291416

Bro they would hate haikyu. It’s definitely not their cup of tea. Everyone always suggests shows that they like not what the reactors would like. If they didn’t like demon slater there is no way in hell they would like that

obito6ix

whenever you guys start your first isekai, i recommend re zero

Kwisatz

You guys should take more time with the naming conventions on these posts, assuming you want to keep doing this. Once it's a few years down the road and you've watched hundreds of shows the search function with be needed and it won't find these post without the names.

We used to but that ended in our demise due to copyright. We are in the works of another organization method! Thanks for the patience! 🫶🏻

Julieta Ramirez Poulat
>>108291416

I think this whole reaction channel is about trying new things so if they are even going to consider sports manga haikyu is definitely the best 👌 also I get what you mean with blue lock but it also has a lot of tropes so it's not like they would avoid those by watching it and haikyu is a lot more complete and the animation is a lot better soooo....🤔

Hechy
>>108311578

i 100% agree. it doesnt take much time to name it death note 1x6 and it greatly helps. or use the tags for every post also works

Chris7o

You guys are using the wrong subtitles, its not the real translations but the CC of the DUB

James

I think you guys need to watch DN in sub, but then edit the video for dub to make people happy.

ssj4rit

Guys…I think Light is Kira

ssj4rit
>>108356137

What is the point of that though lol, people want to see their genuine reaction They should just stick to whatever they like. Can’t make everyone happy lol

Irakli Ekhvaia

im waiting when you guys start Onepunchman. its insainly good

BipolarKitten

Mckay so sleepy this episode. He need sleep😴

This woman and the lights were located in a government office area during the New Year holidays. No wonder this place is almost deserted at this time of year.
