I can totally see why people would think a certain way about these episodes but let us know your thoughts on what we think so far. I think its actually great just not written as well as the previous arc.

I might be biased considering Light is my husband but I really like this part too

BipolarKitten

I don't hate it. Just it's too rush. Thats why no one attach or gives af about Near and Mellow

Chrisiyyi

Naruto is great, but ye it has its flaws as well, honestly would be stocked to see you guys react to it in the future, i think some of the arcs are legit elite tier.

Henderson C

Don't worry I got the Poetic Justice joke

Yes omg it would be so COOL damn but it’s so long i can understand if they don’t want to do it

Henderson C

Remember one of the Death Note rules is the user cannot go to Heaven or Hell. Light didn't even care if he doomed his dad to purgatory...

The interpretation for this is different in the manga, given the last chapter. Spoilers so be warned Seriously, spoilers. Don't read if you don't want Death Note spoilers. I warned you. You can still back out. !!!!!!!!!!!!SPOILERS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So from the beginning of the series, Light actually always knew the Heaven/Hell rule of the Death Note is just clever wordplay by Ryuk. Indeed, all humans don't go anywhere when they die. They just cease to exist (Mu). This is stated in the final episode, but in the manga, the final chapter shows Light tells Ryuk AT THE BEGINNING of their relationship that it's clear no human goes to Heaven or Hell. Since he knows this from the start, Light knows his dad isn't going anywhere after he dies. So it doesn't matter if he uses the Death Note or not. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SPOILERS END!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm leaving some extra comments here so the spoiler is hard to find if you scroll up, too. More padding. Thanks for reading. L deserved better.

I think older anime has way too many pacing problems and we're spoiled by modern anime now. Maybe they'd make it through but idk, sometimes it's good to leave things in nostalgia (I think Brig and McKay have already watched it). It would also be hard to avoid all the filler in Naruto. Like even in canon Naruto episodes, you'll get random flashbacks of Naruto on the swingset for the 9001th time.

Melizé

"such a noble thing... wow he didn't kill his sister" lmao so true!

ssj4rit

Aizawa's so horrified at losing his afro lol

Matthew Valentine

The final few episodes of this show are actual bangers and are worth watching the rushed manga chapter eps that it transitions from imo. Ending is elite.

Samuele De Marzo

I think this part is the weakest of the show (stil an 8 imho), but it's worth sticking to it cause the ending is elite

Lexi Browning

I don't think it's because of Near and Mellow that makes these episodes a bit harder to watch than the earlier ones. And I don't think it's because L is gone either. I think it's because of Light. We're not watching a Light that was in the progress of creating a new world. We're watching a Light who has already created it and his reactions and decisions are based on that as well. He's a lot less relatable than he was before and because of how big he is now, his enemies are using tactics that seem out of our reach where we're like "wait, you can do that?" That said, it's this higher level of chess that makes the ending so good. Regardless of anything, Death Note still has the best ending of all time in my opinion.

AKA480.

For me, my problem is that Near is just L but less interesting.

kiiturii

these episodes are way better than I remembered, people talk too much shit about them lol

Erich R

My friend actually likes the last 12 episodes of Deathnote better than the rest of the show. I said "Buddy, you're alone in this world"

ssj4rit

Also I’m pretty sure Light couldn’t kill Mello because they don’t have a recent picture of him. They only had a drawing or maybe at best some grainy photo of him when he was a kid. So only his dad was capable of killing Mello.

>>112542803

what bugs me is that with all the bugs they were able to plant in Lights room, they couldnt get a single bodycam or one on the helmet for Dad goin in there while fully kitted otherwise?...ik its fiction and that would have killed the story but...seriously?

ash
>>112512703

naruto is one of those anime that i honestly think ppl should just let exist in the past. no idea if they would be able to get through it with all the pacing issues lol

ssj4rit
>>112542803

So this is where rushing the manga becomes clear. They DID have cameras on their helmets. And in the manga we actually see on Light's computer the video feed transferred back. But before Light's dad goes into the room with Mello, Mello locks down the room and sets off a warning bomb. Then he threatens to blow up the place until they smash the cameras. So Light's dad smashes his camera and Mello, feeling safer, lets him inside. Light thinks this is OK because Mello doesn't know Light's dad has the Shinigami Eyes. The manga also has more to the conversation between Mello and Light's dad. This is all in chapter 73 if you're interested. Yeah...shame it was rushed.

That is really interesting! It seems to me that whatever we perceive to be plot holes are just rushed parts from the manga!!

Figgy
>>112512703

Just rewatched the 5 Kage Summit arc and Pain fight, after 5 years & man Naruto has some high highs.

JustAway
>>112542803

this anime takes place in year 2006 I doubt they had internet that was good enough to transmit videos from an underground place in NA to Japan

esie ♡︎

Love your reactions to these last few episodes! I’m so glad you guys enjoyed them! I can’t wait for more! 😭

Vibes

can't wait for the next upload and csm

Bibi

I fucking miss my husband L 😭

A L

Guys you must watch Code Geass at some point. Really good story you will love it trust me

bloody

Bro for all the people who dropped it after L died are missing out, yes its kind of a dissapointment now but the end is so worth it, my fav anime ending personally, (not that we get many endings anyway)

Hechy
>>112761506

you need to watch code geass if death note is ur favorite ending. it will open your eyes

Oromis
>>112542803

That's definitely the case, so many of the questions they were asking and thinking were plotholes during and after these 2 episodes were explained in the manga. Retaking the deathnote was basically an entire arc(7 chapters out of 108), but they chose to instead make it 1 really powerful episodes focusing mainly Light's dad.

The RZA

holy crap..never heard of 86 before but...dude..holy crap. i dont want to cuss or give spoilers but i got HOOKED at ep5 of s1! Even if u guys dont watch i am happy that i hear about great shows ive missed

Johnny
>>112761506

Code geass is the most overrated show of all time, filled with plot holes and ass pulls, don't know how the anime tricked people into thinking it was good.

Seth
>>112761506

Y’all weird asf anime isn’t a competition, you can like multiple shows at once

Robert
>>112793309

86 is amazing. Some people may find it slow or boring whatever, I loved it from start to finish

Figgy

The RZA
>>112793309

Idk how many seasons it will be or when my questions will be answered but this show is awesome

Nonos

Please if you guys get the chance, can y’all group your reactions to shows to how you did with attack on titan and the last of us. So it’s easier to navigate. Cuz It’s getting a lil tougher finding the vids to catch up on now ngl😂

Ashley
>>112693989

once they get past all the ass shots, i feel like they would LOVE code geass

Nash

Are we gonna get the new jjk ep today ?

Philbo

im not sure if im the only one but for some reason all the attack on titan reactions are locked for me saying i need to be in the uncut tier but im in the juicy tier?

Macy

Some shows you guys might like reacting to: Magi, The time I got reincarnated as a slime, Summertime rendering, Hell’s paradise, and Kakegurui. :)

Yo Dani

Ryuk has his own notebook. He dropped the one he stole from the other shinigami. Rem gave Misa the one from Gelus and he dropped his when he wrote L's name in it. So Light took Rem's, the task force had Misa's/Gelus's notebook and Misa dug out Light's notebook/the one Ryuk stole and dropped. So there are 3 + 1 on Ryuk
