We finally got around to this!! We had no idea what to expect going into it....

Comments

DeadLotus

OMGGGG didn’t think I’d heard about Trash Taste from Carter😭😭

BipolarKitten

So many upload to watch today🥰🥰

Lukash

they used it as an actual review lol

C2-H5-OH

Yeah I'm on the same page with guy on the right. This kinda video for AoT just isn't my cup of tea at all, almost feels disrespectful to the source content. A video like this about Vinland would feel the same.

Mia Malvik

love gigguk but cannot stand this video lol. Don't understand the hype. Also yes Brig!! Norway is a great plan

Sean Carroll

never cared for this video, dont understand the hype people have for it

DeadLotus

Also if your confused about the court scene, fujos is short for fujoshi which is people who enjoy reading BL(boy’s love) manga after that particular part there was an influx of fanfics about Eren and Levi as a couple/relationship. Those kind of mangas are still drawn today lmao

kaan

I just noticed "Just shut up and get in the goddamn titan" from Armin was probably an Eva reference lol

Chezzy Neo

Yeah I like gigguk but I'm not a fan of this video. Almost every joke here is making fun of story/character/situation and I know it's not meant to be disrespectful but I just don't vibe with it. I in general don't like anime memes to begin with since most of them just make fun of the original just like here.

I liked gigguk humor in high school (2013 era) but now it comes across as kinda tryhard and corny. He’s fine on the Trash Taste podcast though.

Barry Lyndon

Feels like the old YouTube Poop videos for kids. Severely overrated video.

ssj4rit
>>113025841

They’re probably teens or something, don’t be too hard on them. I remember being into some YouTube series as a teen that I look back on and cringe a lot now.

adam

lol everyone in the comment sections need to chill, every anime got a meme, there's no perfect show, every show got that weakness that could be roasted, the game is the game

adam
>>113025673

lol everything that had been consumed by the public are free to be roasted, that's why there's critics

打音玖珠

Remember that when this video was made, only the first season of AoT was released and it was seen as one of the biggest overhyped shows. People didn't know how amazing it would become in later seasons and it was kind of just a big meme at the time

Kyle

this vid def a hard sell to adults who probably didn't like watch dbz abridge growing up lmao I understand not being a fan of the this type of humor haha

Meave

Gigguk is not trustworthy. A lot of his options are based on nostalgic attachment, and he said SS7 is his favourite SS in Game of Thrones

Katrina Susmara

So many butthurt people in the comments. Just don't watch, it's easy as that

Far

This vid is funny lol people need to lighten up a little

Far

But I suppose that's just another day for the survey corps *cue Seinfeld theme*

Riya

I love parodies like these. The VAs are outstanding at bringing out the comedy elements in a parody in general for any anime. Other animes that I love have parodies as well. It's very fun to watch them

Shiro

Yeah, the first time I watched it I found it hilarious, but now it seems very cringey, growing older changes you, I guess.... but it is very nostalgic for those of us who watched this in the previous decade! I think the first season increased the popularity of the manga as well, as anime shows if done well can be excellent marketing for the source material. The more people read the manga, the more the show got popular and many more people were looking forward to season 2 (for which we had to wait for 4 years!!). I actually started reading the manga after season 2 aired, as I was so curious to know what happens next (I had been spoiled twice already and did not want to get spoiled anymore). I still remember the hype and excitement for the basement chapter reveal!

jordan solomon

the best aot parody ive ever seen is a slap on titan😂 those guys that made that are TALENTED. it’s very out of pocket at times and dark humor is a heavy theme throughout but it’s more attack on titan content

Joie Dianzon 🇵🇭

Yikes. What is happening? 😅 Are these outtakes or what? I think you are better off watching the AOT Radio Show where the Japanese VAs candidly discuss their opinions about the show, as well as giving you hints based on information provided by the directors and author. Here are some examples: https://youtu.be/1VCyJ9p9gL8 https://youtu.be/HcAslxxmmX8 https://youtu.be/smyPwW9xHnI I think this is also a weekly episode in Japan during AOT season. It would be interesting to watch them. You will find them funny and respect the process as well.

Guy

Enjoying this video is dependent on your enjoyment and knowledge of 2015 internet memes and Tumblr posts. As others have mentioned, it’s a parody of Dragon Ball Z Abridged, a series where they do the same thing to DBZ albeit with a bit higher quality

Melizé

I laughed at the fangirls screaming in the background everytime Levi showed up because that was easily me 😂😂

celery

this is kinda outdated now but it still makes me chuckle a lil

Philbo

aahh one day i hope they start Jojo's lol

CHIEF

It's also a shame that this isn't the original version because of copyright stuff, makes some of the editing even more jarring, it's very funny still as a time capsule almost of the AoT fanbase

Betty H

I had to watch this with closed captions because everything goes by too damn fast

Gestrid
>>113041054

No, Gigguk got people to dub over the footage, and he edited it together. These aren't the actual English VAs.

Gestrid

This is still one of my favorite things about AoT. They took the ideas from the season and turned up the comedy, even pointing out the obvious "issues" (ex. Eren's Titan obviously being Eren and Annie's Titan obviously being Annie). They also took some of the reactions from some of the people in the fanbase (ex. Eren and Levi) and put a comedic spin on it. I just love humor like this.

kiiturii

oh hell yea carter is a trash taste enjoyer

kiiturii
>>113029245

agreed, that's why I personally recommended them not to react to it lmao, it's a 6 year old video that was made when only 1 season of aot was out. Jokes that haven't aged very well and outdated humor, no one makes abridges anymore for a reason lol

kiiturii
>>113031739

"trustworthy" lol, based on the fact that you disagree with his opinions? He is aware that his GoT opinion is a very unpopular one

kiiturii

ya'll should watch gigguk's "attack on titan is still incredible" video for a bit of a change of pace, it's a very good review style video that talks about some important topics you guys have touched on as well, including some humor too but not overbearing like this one might've felt like. It was also made after season4 part1 so it's more up to date

BrianTheWoeful

Gigguk also interviewed the author of Vinland Saga! Very much worth reacting to or at least checking out if yall haven't seen it!

Ale

I believe this video gets potentially funnier the more you understand about the anime community in general, there is a few jokes and references to other anime that I don't think you understood 😅 Think of this as a parady not a way to disrespect the OG story, back in the days it was common to do this type of videos.

Thiivi
>>113042621

The group that did DBZ Abridged actually did an episode of AOT Abridged too. If I remember correctly, it got copyright claimed to all hell, so they instantly dropped the project.

Shpitz
>>113071549

Aye, that video is awesome and speaks so much to what the show is about(it was also filmed at around the point the boys are at in the anime)

humbleandkindness

any update on getting the recording or trigun stampede on here??

CRuEL_WOrlD

This brings back so many memories omg LOL, yall need to watch SAO abridged, it actually PEAK

Ladnon

Day 104 of requesting to add Code Geass to your next poll

A

Lol I thought it was a pretty funny parody 🤷🏾‍♀️ definitely better to watch after s1 for a little laugh for sure

lydia

Haha I always think you took this video too seriously that you wanted to wait until you watched all of Aot to watch this video meanwhile we just wanted you to have a little laugh after season 1's experience xDD

Kim555

can you guys please update the categories on the top of the page? It only has AOT, TLOU, and Mandalorian. Can you add the other shows if possible? I keep scrolling all the way down to find specific episodes 😭

studiogek
>>113294604

Don’t worry we have a website coming out very soon. It’s a little sketchy to make folders like that cuz it can trigger copyright

Kim555
>>113294604

oh gotcha gotcha no prob. I'd rather scroll than lose this patreon <3
