charlie enjoyer, anime enjoyer, destiny enjoyer, halo reach enjoyer. nah we'd be best friends growing up fr.

Honestly, I totally understand your confusion with Gon and Killua’s progression. And I 100% blame Kurapika for it lol. As badass as he is, if Togashi didn’t make Kurapika such an unreasonably strong beast, it would be way easier to compare Gon and Killua with our man Zushi (who is still considered a huge nen talent) and be amazed at how fast the boys are growing. But…we got Kurapika, so it is what it is lol.

olivia

Gon purposely gave up his hand without knowing about Angel's Breath. Gon is literally insane, which is why the Phantom Troupe theme played during the reveal

Cookie

yup Gon is indeed insane

I died laughing when Cannon said “DUDE YOUR MISSING A HAND” also I’m on your side Jack I literally said I wouldn’t heal their asses when you questioned it lmao.

Jamir Blue

Idk if it’s just me but I prefer this, Greed Island, arc over the York New arc. York New was anticlimactic for me. This next arc is the best of the series in my opinion.

hatemylife2003

gon and killua and 1 in 10 million talent

DiPo

Today is my birthday, what better way to spend it watching the final of this arc. 🥰

aubrey !!

AHHH THE GOAT IS INCOMINGGG

aubrey !!

"that's evil" yeah ging is making his 12 year old son suffer for months on end to find him it's horrible 💀

Edgy Flame

Whats even crazier here is Gon didn't stop being selfish and go back to Killua's plan because he lost his arm but rather because he got what he wanted and landed a hit.

Edgy Flame

He knew Genthru would lie to him but let him do it lmao hes actually crazy.

Max__
>>123029998

Of course Gon knew it, he mentioned that they planned to use Breath of Arcangel on everyone after the fight

Ale

Cannot believe we are here now, next week starts the craziness that is Chimera ant's arc! I really love Greed island, it might also be because those are the type of games that I enjoy the most, but I'm glad that in the end you guys liked it ♥️ Ooh and, I know you guys skip openings, but I suggest you avoid the next one like the plague, it has a lot of spoilers.

Bibi

man I wish we can get at least 5 episodes a week for the next arc 😭 my favorite character is in the next arc 🐜 👑( I think most of yall know who i'm talking about 😂 ) and I can't wait for Cannon, Carter and Jack to see him 👀 Also, PLEASE PLEASE skip the opening and ending of the next arc if you don't want spoilers 🙏

Teaq

So excited for this next arc!!

Especially since because of the accent, there's a quiet little "uh" after he says it. 💀

nans

bisky tearing up when gon said he wanted to introduce killua as his best friend to ging … same

DAI

OMG finally we are gonna dive into the best arc in the history.

kingkoopa98

I'm super pumped for this upcoming arc, this arc imo is on par with Return to Shiganshina and most of the arcs in AOT season 4. Although it is paced very slowly but the payoffs are super worth it. Also Carter is correct, Dwun and his room are definitely based off that picture of Togashi lol.

Gabriel Machuca Wegermann

The arc is decent, the main problem is that it's sandwiched between two of the best shonen arcs ever, of course it's gonna pale in comparison. As a standalone arc it would be considered quite good in any other anime.

Ramennn

OMGGGG! The new arc starts! <3

Bandit

My personal favorite written story arc of all time is coming up. Never knew how impactful it was until it ended so please take your time and enjoy each episode for what it brings. Hope ya'll love it as much as I do <3

Jimmy Gilligan

This is the best going to be one of your favourite arcs in any anime ever!

Henrique I. Pereira

Please guys, skip the opening in this next arc! It has some spoilers

Nrock23

The best arc in anime history starts now

SoreDakeNoKoto

Just to clarify ... Breath of Archangel isn't as OP as you'd think. First, only Nen users can enter the game -- regular people like Battera's lover can't, otherwise he'd have gotten her healed long ago, no need for pay people to clear the game. Even if you make it into the game, acquiring Breath of Archangel is very difficult, it's SS-rank after all. You'll remember those dudes in the cave mentioned early in the arc, that you need to acquire all 40 spell cards in order to trade for one Breath of Archangel. Finally, the card is single-use (like the other cards). You use it to heal one person and the card is used up. So even if you got the card into the real-world, you could only use it for a clutch heal once. Many fans believe that these levels of difficulty in GI serve as Nen conditions, deployed by the game creators to power all the cards. That is, a card like Breath of Archangel is only that powerful *because* of its proportionate high difficulty, because of all the sacrifice/hard-work players must have put in, in order to acquire the card.

Schwifty_Ant

Chimera ant arc in my opinion is really the best anime arc I’ve ever seen. The complexity in the story writing is truly unparalleled

Josh

The next arc is definitely gonna be the one that Carter will like the most and it'll really show him why HxH is so highly regarded. I can understand why Brigg doesn't like it as much since their tastes are different (but I think Brigg still likes it). It's very grand in scope with tons of build up and pay off. It's nothing like what we've seen so far. It has many of the best moments in fiction IMO. Most of the criticism comes from people finding the build up boring, the narrator and stuff like that but I think Carter will love it

Saidah

I love the genthru vs Gon fight sooo much, I feel like it’s one of the first times you truly see Gons selfish tendencies being showcased as insane and slightly unhinged rather than quirky and minor. The “insane” villain thought Gon himself to be just as if not more so. It’s just such a cool transition.

Mysterious Figure

I notice Brig has been uncharacteristically more silent than usual for the last few weeks. I hope if anything is wrong it gets better for you my guy. Wish there was an Angel's Breath IRL

ffltscat

I would suggest you to watch ep1 of the 1999 version or read Chapter 1 in the manga before stepping into the next arc. You would understand better the importance of a character, also the emotion attached to him. That man told Gon about Ging and inspired Gon to be a hunter. I don’t know why the new version deleted such an important scene.

UziBby

I’m kickin my feet rn, welcome to the best arc in the history of anime.

UziBby
>>123049758

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD SKIP THE INTROS. Also Brig t tf up we need you back for this arc. 🤞

I'm Literally Shinei Nouzen

In my opinion, the next arc is incredible. A lot of people dislike it, but even more think it is the best in the show. I have seen it three times and get excited every time.

Gabriel Machuca Wegermann
>>123044909

This. The percentage of people that can even use Nen in the first place is extremely low, probably less than 1% of 1% of people, and the amount of Nen users that would ever even get to hold the card is like 1% of 1% of 1%. There are multiple steps to adquire this power and even when you do, is limited to only one specific island in the world. The only way you could use it outside is if you beat the game, at which point you literally have to become the first out of billions of people.

Airex

the next episode is where it gets juicy 😫

Mia Malvik

Next arc has some of my favourite things I've ever seen in anime, but I personally had some issues with the pacing so I'd advice you to be patient with it, it's so long lol. Peak for sure though

Dakota

The guys are not prepared for what's to come lol

alexis ♡︎
>>123028581

haha ik it’s hella long but i really like the beginning of the arc so i’m interested to hear their thoughts

Azquidif
>>123044310

EVERYTHING MUST BE AN OBNOXIOUS COMPETITION!!!! SCREW SUBJECTIVE TASTES!!!

Cameron Philip

greatest arc in anime history next up!

Kyosuke Kagami

WE CHIMERA ANT ARC NOW BOYS. From this point forward we need 3 episodes per upload minimum. We've got a long long way to go. This is the pinnacle of the series and we cannot disgrace it with only 2 episodes at a time!

esie ♡︎

Personally, next arc isn’t it for me like it is for others. There are things that were hyped to the nth degree but fell so short and were in the end, quite underwhelming. I do think there are some amazing parts and some that are my favorite in this entire series but I wouldn’t consider it to be the best of all as a whole, in my opinion. There is also a certain thing in the next arc that I absolutely cannot stand but nevertheless, I’m still excited for this arc to start contrary to my thoughts on it. I can’t wait to hear your guys opinions. 🫶🏻 Overall, HxH is just such a fun watch and is even more fun with y’all. 💓

Empyral
>>123093582

also what certain thing don’t you like? should have asked that first

esie ♡︎
>>123093582

haha all good! i’m glad we have different opinions, makes the discussions more fun. I’ll add some space here, I don’t think it’s a spoiler but just in case. I’m a sucker for good story telling and there’s that certain point in the arc where the narrator starts explaining literally everything that’s happening. From a narrative point, I don’t think it was excecuted well, it really took me out of the moment and that was a really, really good moment. The words of the narrator don’t do justice of what’s happening. Kinda reminded me of the opening playing when Itadori was having his breakdown. Sorry if you don’t agree haha 😅

Empyral
>>123093582

My first watch through i 100% agreed. But when I rewatched it later I grew to like the narrator more. I think people like and dislike the narrator so ur opinion is 100% valid

esie ♡︎
>>123093582

I honestly was worried I’d get flamed in the comments but I was like, oh well lol. So I appreciate the validation! This’ll actually be my second watch through with the boys so I’ll definitely be watching with an open mind to see if my thoughts on anything changes.

⭐️—_—💧

To be honest Greed Island is the last "Fun/Happy" Arc. Everything after this was no longer to be taken lightly as I typed this, currently in the manga there are no lighter Arcs existing. The boys have grown independently and those kids days and innocence that we had long ago is "gone" and same in real life.

leah

so beyond excited for the next arc. literally peak fiction yall are gonna love it.

Brian Estepa

every time i watch these i just imagine im cuddling with cannon

leah

ok bc you guys were ranking the arcs imma drop mine chimera ant yorknew city heavens arena greed island hunter exam election zoldyck family

bearuber
>>123048998

I second that. This is what I also suggested on the last episode and it'll really give a much better experience. I don't know why they didn't add it for the 2011 version when it was the first chapter of the manga but I heard it was because they had to quickly release the first episode.

ssj4rit
>>123112145

Dang pretty much mine, except I'd probably swap GI and HA for me.

Saidah
>>123112145

This is mine 1. Chimera ant 2. York new 3.election 4. Greed island 5.heavens arena 6. Hunter exam 7. Zoldyck

Socorro Viernes

The next arc introduces one of my favorite characters from the series and I'm excited to see how they react to them

TWIN TURBO
>>123048998

The Chimera Ant arc of the manga ended in October 2011, so the plot was not included in the anime's first episode.

BipolarKitten

Brig has been so quiet lately. sending a virtual hug to him, Someone make popcorn for him, please.

Jed
>>123189251

I think the comments get to him sometimes. I see a lot of comments or at least I used to of people saying he talked to much and that he annoyed them. Hope the guy doesnt take those idiots words to heart😤

Hachiko

damn bro upgrading from T2 membership to T3 is crazy, literally finished watching 64-65, wanted to see if you guys already posted 66-67 and y'all already finished the Greed Island 💀

ffltscat
>>123048998

@twin turbo @ Gabriel I mean the importance of K**t. He showed up in the 1st Chapter in the manga, even before Gon. He is the one told Gon about Hunter and Ging. The 1999 anime had him in ep1. The new version can also do that. The 2011 version weakened their connection imo.

Michael H
>>123100695

I think Election Arc can still be counted as at least a lighter arc…relatively…kinda lol

Milly Lin

Really hope there can be more episodes uploaded per week in next arc.. As the pace in the begining is a little bit slow for me and I can't wait to see your reaction to the peak part

LK

I’m so excited for you guys to watch this next arc, I can hardly stand it

Caleb

Thank you guys for all your hard work, we appreciate you!

Contose
>>123112145

Zoldyck has got to be up there. It was the start to how this anime was to be. The lashings, the torture. The murderous intent from our own killua. I think that was the hook of the show.

leah
>>123112145

it was just boring to me. plus we had already seen the murderous intent in the exam arc, that wasn’t anything new. once they got through the testing gate it picked up a bit but it still wasn’t anything to write home about. it’s 100% the weakest arc

Toff

another innstallment in the classic «Gon gets absolutely ragdolled and beaten half to death» series that we need to see every single arc

leah
>>123112145

chimera is always gonna be number one. in my opinion election is a bit overrated. i definitely prefer greed island
