The final scene with the snow, rabbits, and wolves is indeed symbolism. I've been waiting for it to be animated. I just don't know why they didn't give us an extra 15 seconds to show one more piece of symbolism and to wrap up the entire symbolic scene 😭

black flash is pretty strong since when the user uses it their destructive power of their strike is equal to a normal hit to the power of 2.5. the technique requires incredible concentration and no jujutsu sorcerer is capable of using it at will. anyone who manages to unleash Black Flash have an immeasurably higher understanding of the essence of cursed energy and will temporarily enter a state of increased cursed energy awareness, where the mental process of manipulating cursed energy becomes as simple as breathing for them. Jack is right on the winter scene, it's to portrayed that Yuji is now the predator hunting the prey which is Mahito. Brig is right where Todo is faking on using his boogie woogie to trick and distract Mahito for Yuji.

Someone on youtube explained that the anime didn't explain Yuji's black flash well. They said that Yuji's divergent fist (time lag black flash) has evolved this episode where the second hit no longer has to come immediately right after the first hit. Yuji can essentially, at will, make the second hit occur any time after the first hit aka it's like the first hit is putting a bomb on the opponent. That's why Mahito got stopped by Yuji's divergent fist when he was about to hit Yuji in the water.

About Todo's hand: His soul was touched and altered by Mahito, Reverse Cursed Technique can't heal that. It only heals the body, not the soul. His Soul is altered forever and "set" for him not to have a hand. so yes his handicapped forever, uless Mahito fixes him or someone else can alter soul's shape

Black flash isn't purely for damage. It quite literally unlocks your cursed energy reserves and gives you a boost again. That's why landing one puts you back in the fight. Its damage is really good though because it's not a multiplier it's an exponent. It's not 2.5 times stronger its to the 2.5 power stronger which is way more.

Todo's technique is called "Boogie Woogie" thats where he claps his hands together. What Todo meant by "Boogie Woogie is now dead" is that since he doesnt have two hands he can no longer use his technique. Rip one of the best technique's we've seen.

And about Black Flash: Well, season one made it seem like a super flamboyant and final move type of thing, maybe for a little bit of sensationalism, but its actually a public knowledge attack anybody can do under the right circumstances so its not that amazing. Like, in an RPG every character can hit a crit, but some more then others... And also, most of these black flashes were landed in Mahito, that has natural tougher psysical resistence to attacks, so Only Yuji's black flash hit him hard. But its definitely not a killer move if everybody can do. If Yuji's technique is do =more frequently something everybody can do it would be kindal lame. Normal cursed techniques seem way more useful. Black Flash can only do so much. In level 1 everything feels way more awesome but now that ewveryone is lvl 100 lvl 1 stuff seems basic

Great episode just don’t understand why Yuji didn’t finish off Mahito the moment he got the chance, especially after what Mahito did to Nanamin and Nobara right in front of him. I guess it’s for the plot 🤷‍♂️

Here’s my take on the meaning behind the rabbit & wolf scene: The hunt is the culmination of Yuji & Mahito’s dynamic & the “I am you” line is Yuji accepting his role as a Jujutsu sorcerer. The carnage & loss of Shibuya shows him that, in this war between curses & sorcerers, he doesn’t have to find a moral reason for fighting. Giving people a good death isn’t enough anymore since it’s usually not even possible. Like Gojo said in episode 1, “You’re lucky if you can die a normal death after running into a curse.” Yuji now understands that he exorcises curses because that’s what Jujutsu sorcerers do. Sure, he wants to make Mahito pay for killing Nanami & Nobara but his strength comes from accepting his role as the hunter & Mahito’s as the hunted. These are their natural places on the food chain, hence the animal imagery. The symbolism emphasizes the idea that these roles are instinctual and innate, much like cursed techniques are. It also ties back into Mahito stating that Yuji is his “natural enemy”. And he is, just not in a way that turned out well for Mahito. This is why I think the episode name “Metamorphosis” isn’t just for Mahito’s transformation into his true form, it’s also for Yuji becoming a force to be reckoned with as a sorcerer. It’s one of the best character development moments I’ve ever seen.

Yo honestly I felt the same thing as Carter with Mahito down for the count, the curses get to have so much fun while they're being masochists so I love seeing the tables turned on someone like that, in any show really, it's gratifying to see someone like that taken down a peg

I thought that they were going to take at leat one more episode on this fight so the season would end on the perfect spot, but now we have room for some more things to happen 🤔 In that last scene I understand that is representation, Mahito beaming the prey and Yuji the hunter, in the manga there is a second wolf (a black wolf, Yuji's was white too there) to represent the fake Geto. Also during the fight, the narrator explains that Yuji is now capable of using divergent fist at will, before it was his bad habit, but when he learned to control his energy more, he stopped using it, but on his fight with Choso, he learned how to control it, that and the Black flash helped him during this fight. THE DESING IS SOOOO SICK I LOVE IT!!!!

I forget when but as an anime only watcher I remember someone commented that if geto wants to catch a curse grade 2 or higher it has to be subdued. I assume he was waiting for a special grade to be on the verge of death before absorbing it so my guess is yeah he's gonna absorb mahito

It left out showing a bigger and scarier wolf next to Geto(Kenjaku) when he asks Mahito if he needs saving. IMO they should have ended it with that to have a more "jaw-dropping" ending instead of people getting mad at Yuji for not ending Mahito on the spot. Well in the manga he doesn't land a hit when Mahito is running away.

For those confused about Mahito removing his armor, he was trying to feint Yuji to attack his unprotected side while readying a counterattack, since he knew where the attack was going to come from. But the divergent fist threw off his timing, (which by the way, he learned to control after his fight with choso) and then Todo came in with his own feint with the fake Boogie Woogie that left him open for the final blow.

Black flash is the normal hit, to the power of 2.5, (x^2.5). So Carter, it is really strong. For example, if the average human punch can reach 150 psi, with a black flash, it would instead be up to 275567 psi. 🤓
