We've created a NEW Pragma playtest build with her voice now modulated!

We've modified her voice to three different pitches that all play at the same time (we also slowed her speech down to a normal speed).

Test it out and let us know - Does the new flanged-pitch effect work for Pragma?

Thanks for raising that! It's the same 'DS Pragma Intro' scene as the last time, but with the newer build attached. I've attached a screenshot of the name of the build on the poll.

I'm not sure what it is. It might be that the high third is a bit too high for me. Or just dissonant or something. Are they adjusted to a specific ratio? like major thirds or something? I wondered what various chords might sound like in voice form. So I did a little playing around in audacity and found that a sus4 chord works really well (in my opinion). And going above 3 semitones higher for the top line was odd. So I did the three lines at +3, +1, and -4 semitones. So do with that info whatever you want, but I thought I'd share.

Like Dimonium, I think the spread could use just a little tweaking, but I like the chorused voice much better even as is.

That's fantastic feedback! We'll try those settings and see what it sounds like!

I also think the lowest voice is too low. And it does feel like there's some unpleasant disonance in the voices. Very offputting, in my opinion - I'd prefer just one voice unless you can get them to harmonize nicely.

I think it could sound really good, however, if you do improve the relative pitches. It makes me think of Glados or HAL. Thanks!

The dissonance you're picking up on might be because the voice is playing from three different audio sources all near Pragma's model.
