*updateOh gosh thank you for the feedback and lovely comments~ now i feel like i was being a big whiney baby Uvu;;I'll be continuing Hart's and hope you guys continue to enjoy it! oAO 9Thought i'd get some feedback. I know many of you here really like the comic and my current plan is to just continue it, buuuuuut i've been the checking out the views and interactions, especially publicly and they're like a fraction of my original comics which made me think "uhh maybe i should talk about this" .u.(In case your're confused, this was orginally a collab comic for Hardblush where Nimatronic did the sketches and I inked and colored, I left while it was still ongoing there)So lemme ask you all as the peen works commitee, do you want it to continue here as a patreon exclusive? Otherwise since Nimatronic sketched the whole thing out already I could just drop the rest of the sketches here where you can read the ending and I make another original comic as the secondary comic instead o  v O;If you have questions I'll try my best to answer them below in the comments o3o

It's an amazing comic. I think the views are low because there was a lot of down time between pages at the start and we aren't at the big parts yet.

Is a comics reception shown by how well it does this early? I would've assumed it would get more attention completed and posted in other spots. But also, yes I think it's worth completing

I'm really enjoying Harts Desire, I feel like it's a great story that needs a good ending (hopefully that ending being those two recreating the sex their avatars are doing in game) OTB is still my favorite, and I've very interested in where that storyline is going, but I also love new/different stories with different characters as well. I'd love to see this comic continue.

I would really love to see this one finished, IF you want to work on it. I'd rather you didn't work on a piece you personally were not enjoying. I recognize the economic forces at work when it comes to people not responding to something, at the same time though if we rely totally on market forces we end up churning exactly the same stuff until we get sick of it. Most people want "more of the same"

At the end of the day it's all up to you if you aren't enjoying it anymore then you shouldn't push yourself to continue, but I love Harts desire just as much as OTB and I really wanna see it continued! I'm invested in them both by this point!

Hart’s Desire has been great so far (love the cute cat and hope he gets up to something before the story gets out), but I agree that it’s ultimately your choice. Loving this, have adored following the Outside the Box-Verse for years, and always excited to see whatever new stories you wish to create. I’m sure whatever you choose will be alright with everyone!

It's a shame it's underperforming, but I really hope you finish it out. It might just be suffering 'original ventures vs. proven classics' stumbles. I'm sure it'll find its audience.

2026-09-07 01:00 I think I'll go against the grain somewhat. Hart's Desire is a nice comic and I like it but compared to the OTB stories it doesn't really stack up. Ultimately you can make this choice from a business perspective or a personal perspective. Under wraps 2 may drive more traffic but is that what you want as an artist? If worst comes to worst flip a coin, but not for the reason you think. When you see the result your gut will tell you which one you wanted more, not the coin.

I thought the whole watching their avatars fuck thing was a really fun and unique idea! This story explores a type of character interaction (over the internet) that's not often shown in comics but I feel is really relatable for the fandom. I think because it's niche, and it's not OTB that's why the views have been driven lower. But I'd really like to see the comic finished. And the fact it is already sketched hopefully gives you something more easy to cruise through between OTB pages

Gosh! This is a tough choice. I love your original works. On the other hand, I definitely am enjoying "Hart's Desire" and would certainly like to see it finished, just because I'd like to see where it goes, and it would be a shame to leave it. Also, it seems as though part of the necessary work to complete it has been done already, and so finishing it would be easier and quicker for you than starting something new from zero. And that means more Toki art pages in less time! Or am I wrong about that?

Personally, I absolutely love the cute, shy catboy and I'm really excited at the prospect of him stripping via webcam with his friend (assuming that's the plan)! I'm happy to wait a little longer to see that unfold in glorious technicolour myself :)

You could always release the sketches and then re-poll a day or two later, the results would probably be more meaningful that way.

This is my current favorite of yours, Toki! I think it’s great! Either way is good though. Personally, I’d like to see it completed, but if it’s not working or if you feel like it’s impeding too much with your more popular works/life, then switch it up! You really do great work, Toki! Can’t wait to see more, regardless of what you decide!

I'd say that due to the content type of the comic it lends itself less effictively to the per page release. Unlike outside the box which is pretty intense every page or at least since its on Chp 3 there is anticipation behind it. HD is essentially a running commentary on game characters going at it, I'm personally looking forward to it being finished but I'll confess that I'm not invested in waiting for the next page compared to the other comics simply cause the 2 "real" characters aren't even in the same room (yet?). Thats just my 2 cents on it, and to stress: I do like the comic its just I look forward to reading it all once its out more than waiting for the next page is all

I like the story so far. It may not be getting promoted as much because the characters apear to be pretty young. Potentially underage in some states/countries. But adolescents exist and they are curious. It's also a really stressful time for many, so I think stories like are important. It could develop in a lot of different ways. It could turn into a sweet coming of age love story. It could also address issues of online privacy, coersion/cyber bullying.... or it could get creeepy/cringy. I'm not sure I'd actually recommend it to one of my nephews, but it wouldn't bother me if they found it on their own. (I'm thinking, in particular of one of my teenage nephews. I helped him build a gaming PC from parts.... he's a bright kid. I've seen him gaming/chatting with friends on it, but that's not a social world I've ever lived in) My advice is to keep going. Art should be a little controversial. But maybe think of an adolescent relative of yours reading it on line, as the story evolves. Try to give them role models instead of nightmares. :-)
