Hello again, Rumi here!
Nothing much to preamble about today, it's been a pretty quiet week.
Let's move straight on to Rumi Ramblings (TM):
GAMES! I haven't touched Pragmata this week, not because it's bad or anything, I've just gotten back into Civ 6. I'm not usually into that style of game, but I played it years ago and enjoyed my time with it. Despite sinking 30-odd hours in, I've never actually won a game. After randomly picking it back up again, I decided I'd like to change that. So far, I've been focusing on a science victory, and it was going incredibly well last night, until I was surprise invaded by Brazil. I'll make sure to build walls next time!
Skate has also taken a backseat to my Civ antics, but I have played a little. It continues to be fun, but the challenges are getting MUCH more difficult as the game progresses. You don't see that so much in newer games, so it's caught me slightly off guard.
ANIME! After Mashle & K-ON, I moved on to a very strange anime: Extra Olympia Kyklos. It's a mix-up of styles, incorporating real-life, claymation, and animation all in one. Each episode is only five minutes, and with a total of 24, it didn't take long to get through. Nothing special, but I'm glad I gave it a chance. It's always nice to see people try different things.
I'm now watching through Sentenced to be a Hero. It's been on my watchlist ever since it was announced, and now that it's complete, I decided to give it a go. It's decent so far, but after 3 episodes, I still haven't been completely hooked. I'm sure it'll get there.
MOVIES! Nothing massive here again this week, but I did finally get around to watching Beau is Afraid. Headed by Joaquin Phoenix, it was always something I planned on watching, but the three-hour runtime has put me off for the longest time. Unfortunately, my trepidation was proved valid. I didn't hate it, but it wasn't an enjoyable experience either. Just meh. Shame.
Anyway, enough rambling for one day, onto the work:
Naughty Tail
Much progress has been made here. I've scripted the vast majority of Juvia's new scenes; there's just some tidying/rewrites to do.
As you can see from the image above, I've also begun implementing the Job Request. It focuses on the clearing of a Troll Infestation, but, unlike previous encounters, I've tried my hand at a much bigger battle scenario.
This does mean the work is taking longer to get done, but I'm still aiming for a relatively soon-ish release. The 17th of May, to be exact. There's A LOT to get done, but I have full confidence this deadline can be met.
Dream Corruption
The new Character Poll is out, and as crazy as it sounds, Sinon is beating out the likes of Nami, Yamato, and Lucyna with over 50% of the vote!
If you wish to see another girl win, you'd best get voting—you and all your friends, that is. There's a lot to do if you want to stop Sinon running away with it ;)
Sinful Valley
V0.3.13 has released to the public, bringing with it everything from Early Access, including a bug fix for the 'Official with Blair' mini arc someone caught for me. I never would have caught that without the help of the community, so thanks!
V0.3.14 has entered the implementation phase, and I'm currently working on getting Josie's Beach Date scene done. That's actually all that's left of this version. I've made some incredible progress here this past week. I may be able to start work on V0.3.15 sooner than expected!
I won't spoil what the narrative additions are this arc, as I feel they're better experienced in-game than told straight to you here.
That's everything for today, thanks for reading until the end! Ping me on Discord if you have any questions, I'll try my best to answer :)
