#105 - House Rules (Patreon)
Content
Hello again, Rumi here!
We've reached the middle of August now, so I think it's finally time to start celebrating the 2nd Anniversary of the RumiGames Patreon. It's been a wonderful ride getting to this point, and I can't thank each and every one of you enough for supporting me. Whether you've been here from the beginning or only discovered me today, your support, engagement, and mere presence make doing this worth it. I truly appreciate it.
To honour this milestone, I've already set up a 25% discount for the remainder of this month. However, unlike previous discounts, this one is a little more special. Anyone who subscribes while the discount is active will be entered into a draw. The winner, chosen at random, will be eligible for a 6-month gifted membership!
This membership will be equivalent to the tier you subscribed to and will be sent as a link to either your Discord or your Patreon account. Whichever you prefer.
I hope this membership serves as a big THANK YOU for all your support. I really do appreciate you sticking with me on this development journey. It's been a blast :)
With that said, onto Rumi Ramblings (TM) we go:
GAMES! I've played a couple different things since the last post. First up was RWBY: Grimm Eclipse, which isn't a good game by any stretch of the imagination, but I love RWBY. So, anything that encapsulates the original seasons in a somewhat serviceable way is good enough for me.
After that, I moved on to The Stanley Parable: ULTRA DELUXE. I've seen many people play through the original but never got around to trying it myself. I've finally rectified that, and despite it not hitting quite the same as watching it did in the past, I still enjoyed it.
With that done, it brings us to my current game of choice: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. It's the one COD game I missed out on when I was a child, and of course, it's the one people love the most... Oh well, I'm playing it now, and it's pretty good.
ANIME! The Dr. Stone season I was watching is done. Luna still the GOAT. I've since moved on to Dan Da Dan. People have constantly pestered me to watch this since it first aired, but I've put it off, thinking it looked a little too fast-paced for my liking.
While that's true, I'm actually quite enjoying it. Momo is awesome. Her personality was completely unexpected, and I'm totally her for it. The fight scenes are well animated, and the story, while crude, seems pretty fun. I'm really looking forward to watching more!
MOVIES! Pretty much nothing this week. I did get to see Spider-Man: Brand New Day in the cinema, which was great, but that's about all. Hopefully they'll be more on this front next time.
Anyway, enough rambling for one day, onto the work:
Naughty Tail
My original scripting estimate was... let's just say, quite far away. I'm now looking at 100+ pages for the first half of the Mermaid Heel Saga, not even including the last update that served as its introduction.
This being said, my week has been incredibly productive. I'm approaching 40 pages of fully implemented content, likely to push a smidge above that by the end of the day today. So, I'm still tentatively hoping for that August 30th release date, but it's still very up in the air.
Dream Corruption
No progress here this week; full focus is still on SV and NT.
Sinful Valley
V0.4.2 has released, and I'm happy with it. Not everything I wanted made it in, but it adds two narrative scenes that I feel really bring the revolutionary crew together. Much more than anything I've previously written. I hope that comes across to you guys.
V0.4.3 has entered very early production. Scripting is beginning, arc notes are appearing, and implementation is still quite far away. One thing that can be said is that I'm looking at overhauling the Training System's once again. I'd like to have something more akin to Harem Hotel, if you know it (great game, I highly reccommend it). I especially want to look at implementing the ability to choose what outfit the girl wears during any training scene.
That's everything for today, thanks for reading until the end! Ping me on Discord if you have any questions; I'll try my best to answer :)
