My Very First ORIGINAL SOLO TRACK under my project "JER" Premiered on this WICKED SKA AGAINST RACISM Comp! (Patreon)

SKA music has a long, long history rooted in solidarity between black and white folk. The music acted as a breeding ground for a community that english working class and Jamaican immigrants made together, and was used as a platform to amplify the voices of those who suffer from racial injustice, and for those to teach their peers and fellow people about the injustice others face.

A lot of that history remains strong within the ska scene, but outside of the ska scene and in the mainstream, a lot of the history had been lost. Mike Park (of Asian Man Records) sought out to try to bring the political background back to the forefront in the late 90s, and seeing the work of the younger generation of ska bands inspired him to work with Mike Sosinksi (of Bad Time Records/Kill Lincoln) and Ska Punk Daily to bring together dozens of bands, contributing on one of the HOTTEST Ska comps, showcasing unreleased music bands old and new.

Myself (Skatune Network) have dropped my very first song under my name (JER) for this compilation. Ska was the music that radicalized me, ska was the music that gave me my first feeling of community, and ska is a music that is heavily misunderstood. With the current climate that is 2020, i think the world needs ska more than ever.   Head on over to https://www.skaagainstracism.com to stream OR purchase this comp on vinyl OR digitally. $1minimum for digital download, and on Friday, September 4th, bandcamp is waving the fees for any digital purchases! 100% of this money will be going to organizations such as
