I wish they would've went back through the trailer to see and count all the Doctors. Even 8 is hiding behind the Oods. But they would've been very curious as to why they don't add up to 11. ;)

The point is they had no idea they were about to hit the 50th until watching this, they would have thought it was just a special like any other and got a huge shock when Tennant and Piper show up. Now they know it's a big deal and will be expecting something like that to happen because, like you said, they've seen the 5 doctors.

Aaron shouldn't have hinted at returning characters but they should know it is the anniversary to truly appreciate it. It is the one time where I think they should know it's a special episode. Or else I believe they would be confused/shocked why so many things are happening and why there's so many returns. Rather be appreciating it. BUt Aaron shouldn't have hint at returning characters.

i don't think he was implying certain characters returning as they say at the beginning they've literally just finished recording The Name of the Doctor so his hint was clearly meant to be referring to John Hurt
