Deadpool

where is the “yes but to a certain extent option” because of course there are some instances of luck. but not everything is based on luck. Tom brady is a good football player because of his skill but he was lucky enough to get given a shot in the first place

SonOfDarkHelmet

Luck, no. Karma, yes. Not sure if they’re technically the same thing.

Dip602

I used to but not anymore

MarkIsDaBoss

Depends. If destiny counts as luck, then probably. If luck is just always chance, hell no. Either way, luck is basically a both possible and impossible phenomenon. There's no true way to prove it, unless you happen to be a Legend.

Woodsie89

Hey, a poll I can vote on even thought I have not seen the show, and have no idea of the context

jayson rivera

definitely but to a certain extent

spencer

yes because at some point you will need luck there is always that one scenerio where luck is needed.

LastHierarch

I believe in luck but only that random things happen that are beneficial for you. You can’t increase your luck by doing specific things.

I disagree. I think you can increase the chances of something specifically lucky happening to you. Like, let's say there's a drawing, and you have to do specific tasks to get your name entered more than once. You doing those tasks increases your chances at winning, boosting your luck if you will.

Imani Brooks

I don't watch this show, but I wanted to vote and leave my input on this anyway. I do believe in luck, but I also think it cam be more complicated than random at times. I think everything that happens to us has a semblance of chance attached to it. There's always a chance of something different happening and we can be lucky or unlucky in either case. I also believe that, depending on the situation, you can increase your chances towards a certain outcome, boosting your penchant to get/be lucky or even unlucky in a way. Such as managing to get your name put into a drawing more than once. So yes, I belive in luck, but I also believe that it doesn't always have to be put of nowhere and that you can work towards it. Again, depending on the situation.

Slim Shady

I do believe in luck cuz mine is absolute dog shit

Chaos T

Complicated issue. Science in recent years has confirmed that luck can exist but it's more of a self fulfilling prophecy than anything to do with probability. Depending on how you define luck, someone's state of mind can have an impact on perceived luck and your mind will notice patterns to make "luck" happen. The Popular Science article below goes into way more detail than my dumb ass behind a computer can. Interesting read if you have ten minutes. https://www.popsci.com/luck-real/

With how much money colleges and the NFL put into scouting, was Tom Brady lucky to be given a shot? Multi-billion dollar organizations, including colleges, don't gamble with prospects even if hardcore fans think they do. Tom Brady was noticed and given a shot for a reason.

CJ

I like the jab towards Dr. Davis being the same person as John Constantine, it’s funny and I hope it continues.

ElBilbo

In my experience there's no such thing as luck.

CJ

Gideon explain “luck” perfectly. What was already going to happen and human ignorance to what was already going to happen, that is called luck.

Alex the Patron

If there was luck, why don´t get it people who truly deserve it?

rickie woodson

seeing as i have nothing but bad luck then yes for sure

Joel

I believe in everything and nothing so the answer is both.

Deavon Harper

Luck is when preparedness and opportunity meet.

Kevin Bartelen

It really depends on how you define luck. I think everything that happens can be traced back to other things that happened via physics (even if some of it is Chaos physics) but since I don't know the odds of things working out in my favor, you could call it luck.
