Joel

He will choose Mando and Luke will give him the lightsaber saying he can return when he's ready.

Sam K

No way they let Kylo kill Grogu, he's gotta stay with Mando.

Christian Bolda

Considering we don’t hear about him or see him in the Sequel era I’m guessing he left before Ben turned and destroyed Luke’s Jedi order

SpeedyCat19

Both, so he can be the next Mandalorian Jedi. Anything else and I'm boycotting everything!

Eli HS

I’m hoping he chooses the lightsaber then Luke gives him the besskar anyway!

Dip602

The saber

Mario Carranza

He has to leave. We know what happens to Luke's school. This is the way.

Anonymous

I think he’ll choose the armor because then he’ll go back with Mando and that’ll kick off season 3. It almost feels like they included all this stuff in book of boba fett because we thought we would see it in season 3 of Mando but maybe they are going in a different direction and that’s why we saw these plots in boba fett. That could also mean that the droid part of the star fighter being removed will be the cockpit for grogu

Gavin Hardiman

Well knowing Luke will do a bang up job at his academy I would hope Grogu would just rob the son of a sith taking the chain mail AND the lightsaber and leaving with Mando. Wait where’s Boba? I feel like I’m watching a great show in an incomplete one

SonOfDarkHelmet

Initially the Beskar armor. But there's no reason he eventually can't have both. Why would you retcon Yoda's saber from the dead just for it to not have a bigger storyline? I feel Grogu will end up with both items at some point in the future.

AC5555

Why not both? 😢 I’m honesty disappointed in Luke and Ahsoka. They set themselves up with the belief that attachment is what turned Anakin to the dark side. Period. There can only be one or the other. Obi Wan says, “only a sith deals in absolutes.” But I find the Jedi pretty absolutist too. In reality, it was the stifling beliefs of the Jedi Code and the conflict they had with Anakin’s heart that sent him down the path and also led him to redemption. The Jedi Order needs to teach its students the difference between obsession, compassion, attachment and love. Grogu should have the choice to be not just a Jedi but a Jedi with love and loyalty. A Mandalorian Jedi is my hope.

Deadpool

Disney likes money. So mando for mandalorion season 3

Josh Bornman

Thats an impossible choice, but he needs to go with Din. If he doesn't have a little mando helmet by the end of the series, whats the fucking point of this show!!! Mandaolorian not Boba Fett just to carify😊

Takeshi Kovacs

Honestly I want him to choose the saber but I have a feeling he'll choose the beskar chainmail

KuroOberon

sorry what? im too distracted by CAD FUCKING BANE

Anonymous

Hopefully Mando because Ben solo coming to end grogu

Jordan Malloy

Neither. He picks up a flute and joins a cantina band.

Anonymous

Throwback to when everyone thought Disney ruined Star Wars.

Cal
>>77061993

That’s a great point. Like Luke says “a short time for you is a lifetime for someone else.”

Jordan Malloy
>>77062265

But seriously, I think he’ll choose the lightsaber. But he’ll give it up down the line (Shoutout to Ahsoka).

Cal

I’m curious if this is what The Book of Boba Fett is supposed to be. A crossover point between any and all Star Wars shows. The title could refer to a book of allies and enemies. An avengers point if you will.

SonOfDarkHelmet
>>77062032

Even as a kid/teenager when watching some of the older Star Wars movies, I felt the Jedi deal in absolutes just as much as the Sith. Pot calling the kettle black and such.

ScarlettMi

I'm guessing he chooses the Mandalorian and the chainmail, but also manages to pocket that lightsaber at some point too. Don't know why Luke is sticking to this whole "attachments are bad" thing, but I hope Grogu realizes there's a better way.

Sara

Mando, his heart is with Mando!❤️

AC5555
>>77062064

To be fair, I want so much more screen time devoted to mandalore, Mandalorian culture & Bo Katan and Din Jarin butting heads and or teaming up to reclaim and rule mandalore

Wildstar

I think (and hope) it's a test- if he chooses the lightsaber, Luke will give him both since he was willing to give up Mando, and Luke knows how strong love can be, and the good it can do

Steffen K

I think he'll choose the lightsaber for now, but he will end up with both in the end

Anonymous

Maybe he will do a Luke; train to become a Jedi but then feel that Din is in trouble and go to help him? That would be a cool callback and maybe make Luke realize that attachment isn’t bad

Longway

I think Mando, but boy this last episode finally let me experience multiple orgasms as a man…

Tom Racey

I would love for Groku to take Yoda’s lightsaber but I know that the little one is too popular to be written out of these stories.

Turquoise Viper

I chose the Jedi way, because I feel like we need to develop this universe / galaxy as an ever expanding pool of stories and far reaching adventures. We gazed, loved & cried over the relationship between grogu & mando and how that arch concluded was special. To get better stories in Star Wars, I feel that characters should grow together and apart over their life journeys constantly (A balance between Happiness/Contentment & Loss/Grief) . And for Grogu, it would be very interesting to see his future arch as a Jedi that maybe can find a new path of the force… thats what I think but yea the awesome crew behind these Disney+ narratives will slay the s**t outta the story.

Anonymous

My heart say's chainmail but my head say's lightsabre. But I think he gets the chainmail somehow and it saves him when Ben Solo goes Psycho.

Young Ish Jon

It's a rough one. Luke is the one making him decide between the two and he has just seen Mando come and go without saying hello or goodbye to him. I think Grogu will decide to go back to Mando but Luke will gift him the lightsaber anyway.

Strav 23

I think the chain mail. This all has to tie back into the finale somehow. This whole Mando Ark will make no sense of he just stays and we don't see him. Grogu will appear at the end maybe before the final battle.

Glynn Rockwell

He'll take the chain mail and go with Din and he won't need Yoda's light saber because he's gonna get the dark saber eventually.

Mike Clark

He'll choose the chain mail, and be out of the picture when the academy falls. And just like how Din has to find a new way to be Mandolorian, Grogu will find a new way to be a Jedi.

Turquoise Viper
>>77062335

I would say that Star Wars was ruined a long time ago for me, Disney with their movie trilogy only depend those wounds. Disney+ on the other hand single handedly revived the fire behind Star Wars & amassed new legions of fans that are retro actively watching all the history of Star Wars and having another completely different experience & having no stigma towards the old material and can have a different impact than most of us who lived in that era and were disappointed of the direction Lucas took the narrative on.

Anonymous

Ok, hear me out. It's a test! Grogu will pick the lightsaber. Then Luke says he chose well and gives Grogu the chainmail as gratitude anyway.

Conner Sims

I think it could go either way, but without knowing more about Grogu's fate with the sacking of Luke's temple I would assume he goes with Din.

Trevor Darnell
>>77062690

Um maybe because when Luke chose attachment he lost a hand or when Anakin chose attachment he lost everything he loved and wrecked havoc on the galaxy.

Jokin_Jake

I think Luke will let him be with Din if he picks the lightsaber. Luke should move away from the ways of the Jedi council and let Grogu be both. Take a look at Cal Kestis! He's doing just fine and he has connections with his friends.

ChiefChill

I keep thinking that Luke wouldn’t give the choices at all. Wasn’t he the one that called out the Jedi on giving up attachments. When they told him to let go of his attachments and to kill vader he didn’t listen cause he saw the good in vader and loved his friends

Anonymous

It only makes sense to choose the beskar armor only because he’s going back to a person who has the dark saber. Grogu yielding a saber is still going to happen, he is the blueprint for the next Tarre Vizsla!

RedDragonRob

Grogu will definitely pick the Beskar Chainmail.. the foreshadowing of Din's Naboo Starfighter droid compartment is too much. Also, if this IS some kind of Test by Luke.. perhaps he'll recieve Yoda's Lightsaber anyways and he and Din can train against one another with them at a later point, Lightsaber vs Darksaber.

Seth Bledsoe

Makes sense for him to pick Din - setting up Mando S3. Also, pretty sure it was Cad Bane that took out the Tuskens, which if true and Boba finds out....ooh boy.

shazzattack

Maybe the line "sometimes the student guides the master" is foreshadowing, if Grogu chooses the armor and then Luke realizes that attachment is not always a bad thing?

Glynn Rockwell

This has nothing to do with the poll, but does Grogu actually say something when the remote droid first shoots at him and he falls down? I've replayed it a number of times with volume full and can't tell if he's saying something or just random baby noises.

Culper (Lukas)
>>77066399

Its been 6-7 years since then and now he is teaching. Perhaps he changed his perspective.

Chase Gardner

Grogu will choose the jedi lightsaber than he will strike at the baskar shirt and put on the things he loves the most the baskar

Alexa Chipman

I think he will put the beskar on, but then he will build his own lightsaber later.

Scott O

He's going to chose Mando and eventually he will end up with Ashoka. She is no longer a Jedi and Grogu is not going to be one do.

Anonymous

They really made it feel like a cult ahsoka said make a choice while implying their idea is the only correct choice then luke gives a kid a choice between a lazer sword or a shirt

spencer

he will choose mando and the beskar but he will stay

Slim Cognito

There no way he comes back to Mando, it would drag the story down and make the end of last season feel like a waist

Matt Sanders

I hope he’ll take the saber and we won’t see Grogu until the end of season 3 of The Mandalorian. We have the plot for season 3 I think, going back to Mandalor’s waters to get his status as Mando back!!

Logan_w726

Cobb vanth and max Rebo are alive and in the finale max is gonna be in boba palace holy fuck live action Cade babe please bring in live action embo.

Dominick van der Hoff

i'm hoping Grogu chooses Mando because both mine and Din's Beskar heart will break if Grogu chooses the saber. But personally, I feel like the saber is the better option story wise. Grogu needs to train if he is to be of use rather than a liability every episode.

Daviasio .

Okay nothing to do with the poll sorry but last episode the clone in the front had what looked like an arrow on his helmet and knowing Filoni, totally could be Commander Appo who lead the 501st on the march of the temple.

High Priestess Darth Sioux

Grogu has suffered too much trauma in his association with the Jedi & his force powers. I think he will abandon his Jedi training and become a foundling.

Anonymous

I hope he doesn't stay cuz then we know he probably dies later

Caio Cardoso

I think the wisest choice is the lightsaber, despite feeling that Grogu will choose the armor. If he spends his life with Mando then Luke won’t be able to train him anymore for being too old, and It probably would be best to have a milenar Jedi to watch over the galaxy.

Big Mike

Grogu will select the chainmail but Master Skywalker will gift him Master Yoda's Lightsaber and allow him to return to train as a Jedi once his time with Din comes to an end

Ragnarok

It hurt me, in this episode, the…I won’t say missed opportunity, but just short of that, of not actually seeing Luke and Ahsoka first meet. I saw an incredible hand drawn comic where they do meet for the first time, and Ahsoka expresses her sadness that Luke couldn’t have known Anakin. He tells her that he did know his father, that he came back, right at the end. Ahsoka teared up, said “He came back?” then just collapsed, crying, and saying “He came back….” It makes me tear up or even cry every time I see it, and I wish we could have gotten that in at least some show, even if not this one.

Liesmith

The choice Luke offers is strange: the lightsaber means Grogu will become "a great Jedi", but it's antithetical to the Jedi teachings to dangle "greatness" in front of a padawan. I think Luke is hoping that Grogu will choose neither, or will choose the armor, wrap up his life with Din, then return to his training. After all, that's the choice that Luke ultimately made in the original trilogy.

Crome18

Isn't a Jedi supposed to get the Lightsaber after the training? as a completion ritual so to say?

Gazman

Grogu will choose the Beskar Chainmail and return to Din. This time spent with Luke is a good way to level up Grogu's force abilities for season 3. Not to mention Mando's new ship is outright screaming for Grogu to be sitting in that former droid port.

Sierra McCutchen

The Jedi are dull and boring. Mandalorians are cool and caring for their fellow Mandalorians. Stronger together rather than no attachments!

Anonymous

I think it's a test because Luke said he doesn't think Grogu's heart is in it I think Luke will give Grogu both no matter what he chooses

Reddevilman77

I hope he gives him both but this is young Luke who still has hope for a bright Jedi future. He still believes in the way of the Jedi at this point so he may be too stuffy to give him both?

Barry

Considering how long Grogu can live, he can spend 10 to 20 years training with Luke, then maybe a few years before the Ben Solo incident, Grogu feels ready to go find Din Djarin on his own.

Anonymous

I believe he will choose the mandalorian way and join din. Luke will then take him to meet him in tattoine but Luke does not stay to help fight. I’d love to hear a quick “no hard feelings” from Luke to boba fett

Nico Engels

I really hope we get something where Grogu chooses the Beskar chainmail and somehow makes Luke realize that he could do both. I don't think it would contradict Lukes character in the sequels while at the same time keeping the legends jedi tempel philosophy of embracing attachment. But I don't know if they will go this route. Personally I would want Grogu to chose the lightsaber, just because I love Jedi training and Jedi in general.

Prince of Za Waurdo Over Salmon

This is tough which would be better have the biggest cash cow of merchandising be sidelined to train with Luke and be killed by kylo or have him return to the mandalorian with more chances to be seen on camera

Liz Fritz

More likely to choose Mando, but I feel like for the story it makes more sense to choose the lightsaber. I feel like Luke may still give him the beskar if he chooses the saber since it is clear then his heart is in it, whereas if he chooses the beskar Luke will think Grogu really is best back with who he “really” belongs with. He could still end up with Mando despite choosing the saber, I just think narratively the chance of seeing a combination of both as possible, with Luke helming the decision, happens only if he chooses the lightsaber.

Anonymous

Grogu already had to forgo attachments once before when he first came to the Jedi Order and now he's being told he has to decide if he wants to do it again. I want him to choose a life with Din - he has plenty of time to learn to be Jedi but only a short time with his dad. He needs to learn Mando culture as well to prepare for when he becomes the 2nd Mandalorian Jedi.

UchihaGene

I kinda feel like the showrunners left us with a cliffhanger so they can see how the audience feels about where grogus character should go. Personally I'd like to see him go with din but I think he'll end up being a jedi.

Skeletor

I think Ahsoka already Knows what Grogu choice would be. She left right after Din did so is she kinda fallowing Din for a favor of some kind and just hasnt asked yet.

Matt Sanders

Do you think Disney will edit the finale of Mandalorian season 2 and make Luke look like he did here?

Matt Sanders

Boba Fett should’ve went with Mando to Freetown to try to help convince Cob to recruit his people. That would shut up the people that say Bobas not even in it.

Zachary Anderson

The love that Mando and Grogu have for each other is strong there is no way that he's gonna pick Luke over Mando

Anonymous

Grogu will take the chainmail then the blacksmith is also going to make him a full set of tiny mandalorian armor!!!!

Jennifer Medicus

Can't choose, won't choose. Not sure if that's me or Grogu. I'm really hoping they made it a cliff hanger because they're actually going to not make him choose. I have always hated the idea that in order to be a jedi you have to not have any attachments, I mean really hated. And what does that even mean - every jedi we know has attachments. Then again I grew up on the OG films.

Anonymous

What is y’all’s opinion on Jedi having attachments? I think not having attachment is what made the Jedi in the republic fail and what made them dogmatic. Having that attachment with Anakin is why Luke was able to turn him back to the light side and give Anakin the strength to save his son. I believe Luke is trying to convey this Grogu and will let Grogu chose both Yoda’s lightsaber and the chain mail! Luke will teach this to the new era of Jedi that attachment is a good thing to have if used properly. Thanks for coming to my Tedtalk

Jeffersonia

Grogu will return to Mando. and Luke will then meet a young man... named Kyle Katarn...

Ethaya

I think it's a test. Grogu will choose the chainmail, therefore passing the test. And Luke will still train him but with a regular contact with Mando.

Sabotower

I hope that Grogu takes the chainmail and then, in Visions Season 2, we get to see him take the lightsaber and he is in the sequel trilogy

Lairdom

Not sure if we will see the results of his choice in this series, but I think he would choose the Mando over power.

Goracyi

Before that we need to talk about how SEFLESS Mando is because He loves Grogu mor than ANYTHING, even more than his own Creed and he still LET HIM GO for the second time. First time fot Grogu's Happiness and the second for His Well-being. That said i think he will choose the lightsaber. Everything is too well prepared to have Grogu back with Mando and i for some reason think it'sa trick and we will be heartbroken seeing the vest being returned to Mando.

Anonymous

Don’t know if you guys caught it but in the Order 66 flashback the clone in the middle is Commander Appo

acekeianar

I voted for the Light Saber but then I remembered that Disney is going to definitely not pass up a cash grab. Hell they used 2 entire Boba episodes to stop the blooding as a stop gap to immediately get Grogu back by the beginning of season 3. Genius to have the seasons seamlessly have no missing Grogu!

Dfd

I just really hope he grabs both laughs like yoda and baby force jumps away

Anonymous

I think he will choose the Chainmail, and Luke will be proud... Just like he chose Leia and his friends over his training; also that can be the New way of the Jedi... Cause this is the NEW way

Ziegenbagel

I feel like for Story Grogu chooses Din, but who’s to say he doesn’t stay with Din for his lifetime, inherits the Darksaber and become the second Mandalorian Jedi. It’s likely from what he is learning from Luke and remembers from before the Empire that he will have what he needs to become a Jedi one day. Maybe working alongside Rey Skywalker?!

Ziegenbagel
>>77106375

Yes, and it’s something that hasn’t been touched upon much other than in the hearts of fans. Plus going way back into the days of the Old Republic Jedi we’re allowed to hold attachments and love and the order was over a million strong. There was reasons why the attachment rule was created become of those days but that proved not to work either. The galaxy needs a happy balance between both.

Ragnarok

So uh…did Cad just WALK a couple hundred miles across a barren desert, shoot a couple guys, refuse to elaborate, turn around and WALK a couple hundred miles back?

Anonymous

Imagine this: it looks like Grogu has chosen the way of the Jedi with the lightsaber, something happens to him and it looks like he’s been seriously hurt, only to reveal he was also wearing the chainmail and is protected

Anonymous

Grogu is too focused on WIIFM (what's in it for me) Just like his fascination with food, he has trouble controlling his wants. If you compare his age to that of a human, he's like 4 years old.

Fivefs

I knew that Grogu was going back to Mando the moment we saw the new ship has a view bubble instead of the droid port. You think Disney is going to pass up the toy opportunity of The Mandalorian in the cockpit and Grogu looking out through the viewing bubble?!! That screams marketing!

Fivefs
>>77186317

That being said I’d love for Grogu to show growth and self control picking the lightsaber. Allowing Luke to give him the armor as well; acknowledging Jedi can have attachment as long as they know they cannot allow it to control their actions. But maybe that’s just how I want Luke to train the next generation.

Michael McDoesn'tExist

I think Grogu will choose both, and then kill Luke and create his own path of the fallen jedi!!! 🤣

SkutterC

Grogu choses Mando. Luke takes him to Tatooine and runs into Boba Fett. Would be a great scene.

High Priestess Darth Sioux

My questions after this Chapter, but I'm wondering how Din knew what planet to find Grogu on?

Kira Rideout

Personally I'd choose the lightsaber, but Grogu is such a popular character that I think he will go back to Mando

Alhussein Aldujaili

The chainmail. And not to be negative but I think the story is worse for it, but I hope they’ll prove me wrong.

Matt Sanders

They should’ve put Grogu in more form fitting robes for a padawan so he can move better. And to sell more toys!!!

Alexander Wiles

well i think he will have both its time for the jedi i Mandalorian to return

Tony Zimma

I feel that he may choose the saber and try to continue his training but I feel the armor is what will protect grogu when Ben solo turns to the dark side. Or he may just simply choose to leave during his training because he wants to be with mando.

Anonymous

There is no way we went through the whole process of melting the spear and forging e chain mail to immediately write it off.

Anonymous

if i remember correctly, luke left yoda to help his friends and than returned to become a jedi. so maybe he can have both?

Anonymous

I would love to see grogu as an adult someday, a hundreds of years in the future. Do you think that could happen?

Anonymous

Mando has the dark saber. I have a feeling it will end up in Grogu's care and he'll be the second Jedi/Mandalorian.

Jared Staley

Grogu will choose the lightsaber, and the chainmail beskar will go to someone in need of armor, Cob Vanth. He likes wearing things that don't quite fit.

Caleb

I think it’s likely grogu will choose the Beskar or should I say Mando. I think Luke’s speech about how little time mando has left in comparison to someone of grogus species it was meant to put grogu off of that path. However I think it made grogu want to spend that little time with mando and more aware of his fleeting timw

Anonymous

I'm actually in the "both" camp. I think he'll choose the chainmail first, then come back to the lightsaber. A Mandalorian and a Jedi.

Ben King

I feel like he'll choose the chainmail - the reason for either gift being offered was for his own protection but, besides Luke training with one, the last time Grogu saw lightsabers in use they were in the hands of Jedi who were being gunned down by Clone Troopers, and that's clearly a heavily imprinted memory for the little guy. It seems like he might put more faith in beskar, which he's seen Din protected by multiple times.

Greg Strafer

What I think/hope will happen is at the end obi-wan will show up in a flash back in the end of the episode and it will be revealed he is the one who takes grogu and the plot of obi-wan is trying to protect grogu from the empire and Anakin

BigSteve Kasten

I'll say lightsaber, and then maybe in the Mandolorian's next season we we cut back to Grogu's training leading to Grogu leaving training to save Mando somehow. Like Luke did with Yoda

Alex the Patron

I need him to become the new mandalorian jedi!! Maybe he will go the mandalorian way and then will make a new jedi order with new rulesets alongside rey
