Cam K

He better not be.

Dip602

Yes sadly

SpeedyCat19

I kinda hope so, as much as I like him. It makes it more impactful

Anonymous

He is in his 70’s I think his story is over.

GenDroid

hopefully I really don’t like fake out deaths.

Anonymous

I don't want to believe it, but it happened on screen. Movie laws on death must be honored. This is the way

Daisy Grace

I think he’s too old to have gone any further. I imagine Boba is the only person still alive that “bested” him, so I see his involvement as more of a personal thing against Boba, an opportunity he took but failed to see through

ObligedUniform

For the triumph of the situation I hope so. But I will not discount the possibility they bring him back in the future.

SonOfDarkHelmet

Mixed feelings. Do I want him dead, no. Should he be dead, yes. BUT....that beeping light gives me pause that there's still a future with him in it.

Anonymous

I hope he is not dead and will be a threat in season 2, but if he is dead I hope he shows up more in life action in the future, Kenobi show or Andor, or another show

Anonymous

Well that was a spoiler in the notification :/

Jordan Malloy

Cad Bane has met his end. Boba would make sure. He, of all people, would know how dangerous Cad Bane is. I’d judge Boba so hard if he didn’t make sure.

Tim

There's no way he's dead. His death groan sounded too electronic, and there was no blood.

Joel

I wish we had more time with him in live action but the way it ended is somewhat fine with me. I wont be upset though if he comes back though.

Anonymous

I would be VERY surprised if he survived being stabbed by a gaffistick

KuroOberon

as much as i dont want him to be, i think he is. rip to a true badass

Anonymous

I mean there was an audible, blinking red light. History has taught me that means the person's alive.

Anonymous

Really hope hot but think he is, hopefully he can be brought back by someone as more of a machine

Anonymous

Something Cad Bane had show us during Clone Wars and Bad Batch, is that he is pretty much immortal (not easy to kill, even by Jedi or sith) said so, I think he can be truly dead nowz going out as a badass vs Boba (like in TCW eliminated episode)... But, by the end, you can hear noises from his anti-force-choke device and lights turning on (red lights)... So how's to say, maybe we can have a Cad Bane vs. Cobb Vanth rematch in The Book of Boba Season 2, or Mandalorian Season 3

Christian Bolda

He had something on him that was beeping I think he’s alive and it was signaling to someone

Jules Eris

My brain says yes, but my heart says no.

Michael McDoesn'tExist

Let him rest. He's lived too long on the edge of a hard life of the bounty hunter. Let's just let him go and remember who he was.

Jokin_Jake

If he lived then it would feel weird. What was the point of that duel if it turned out that he didn't die?

Dante

Yes I think he’s dead and I think it’s the perfect death for him. After all the clones he killed, he was killed by a clone. I also agree with Aaron that we will probably see Cad Bane again in other stories.

SPARTAN 465

I think so. At least in this story. If we get him again, it's in an earlier story.

Anonymous

I really hope he isn't. I feel like with all the duels we've seen Cad Bane win due to his speed, he should die to someone that's faster than him. Maybe Mando? We've seen his draw speed and he's pretty fast. That's just my opinion though.

JSin

I think he's dead but could he maybe show up in the Obi Won series, since it would have to be earlier?

spencer

I think this is the end of his character and we won’t see anymore of him in the future

Gavin Hardiman

I kinda hope so. It would be nice to lay a Character to rest

Trevor Darnell

If that isn't death then I'll never trust an on screen "death" from Disney again

Anonymous

He probably is it’s just his mechanical parts were beeping so im 50/50 🤷🏼‍♂️

Anonymous

It would feel cheap to keep him alive.

Anonymous

I think he lived a long, very eventful life, but he’s dead. We don’t know what those blinking lights meant. I saw the body so I’m convinced!

Logan_w726

I’m not sure honestly he COULD but he probably is DEAD?

panacamanana

If we have learned anything about Star Wars, does anyone REALLY die?

Shmengels

I think it's an apt end to his character. We can only do the "are they REALLY dead?" thing so many times. Not to say they won't use it again, but that seemed pretty 'on-screen, he drew his last breath' to me. (Yes, I know about the light indicator thing, it could mean a lot of things and very few of them scream 'alive' to me). Slightly unrelated note, is anyone else kinda disappointed they put the Grogu/Din reunion in this series? Like at least give the separation some time to breath and put it in the titular characters own show. Now we're gonna be back in S3 and if you didn't watch Boba it's gonna seem like they retconned the end of S2. Pretty jarring imo.

Jake Wilkinson

No way he’s dead after a shot introduction and look at how much they emphasis the body with his life support flashing and that he was never moved or anything I hope and do believe he’s still alive

Erich Bomke

We literally just watched a show about a character that the world debated was dead inside of creature with a beak, tentacles, teeth, and stomach acid for 40 years.

Anonymous

I'm kinda hoping he is because it would be wrong to allow him to live after this great episode. But we know how Star Wars works so he may yet comeback.😉

Sojtus

I mean the bacto tank was being used. So unless the dude that makes people into cyborgs was hiding right behind the corner, I don´t think Bane is getting up. But then again, based on the end, the dude might be on a mission to turn the whole planet into cyborgs. :D

Chaos T

This mofo took on Jedi. He's not dead.

AnEnthusiasticKoala

Hahahahha what a complete shit ending to a mediocre show

Like, would Boba allow Cad Bane to up and walk away and then decide, “I’m gonna take a stress-free stroll across the city while one of the most dangerous bounty hunters in the galaxy is on the loose.”

Anonymous

I think this was a nice way to close Cad Bane's story. I mean he's an old man. I'm pretty sure he's dead guys...

Liesmith

The emphasis of his beeping chestplate implies that he's not actually dead.

Coeus

Naw - too many references to near-deaths that aren't dead for me.

Anonymous

I was sure he was dead but the beeping makes think he might be alive

Oblivion'sLegend

I'd like him to be, but I would not be surprised in the slightest if it turned out that he isn't.

Robin Tali

My bet is he's technically dead but it's plausible deniability if they ever want to bring him back for whatever reason

Ollie Grosvenor

I think he's alive *but* he isn't a Bacta/Mod good as new job. My theory is that Cad will survive essentially on life-support, as a very old, bitter and physically impaired puppeteer manipulating events from behind the scenes. With Maul recently dead (well, 9 years prior) I could imagine Crimson Dawn is still in disarray. Qi'Ra might have some control, but the lack of a true Machiavellian kingpin might allow Cad to slip into power with the aid of some other hired help. Over the span of Mando S3, Ahsoka, Kenobi, maybe Andor and certainly The Book of Boba Fett S2 (if there is one) you could have assassins, mercenaries and other agents linked with the Crimson Dawn appearing here and there. Perhaps simple background cameos, blink and you miss them. Or perhaps Kenobi faces off against a loyalist sect of the Crimson Dawn trying to avenge Maul's death. Hints and stuff here and there can lead to TBoBFS2's core plot where Boba is baited off-world (perhaps with rumours of his father's killer, Mace Windu, being alive) until he's ambushed and forced into a position where he has to try and fight his way out without Fennec, the mods, Santo, Mando or the others. At the end, there's the reveal that Cad was pulling the strings as revenge for crippling him and leaving him a husk bound to medical equipment, unable to bounty hunt or really have any sort of life. If Cad survives (which I think based on the blinking focus, is likely) I don't want him to be his badass cowboy self. I want more of a Watch_Dogs Lucky Quinn or Doctor Who's Davros/John Lumic, an evil genius who is more or less confined to a secure location because of his shredded physical wellbeing and ability to co-ordinate others to do their bidding.

Chase Gardner

The next time if we see cad bane he will be full on general grievous mode full on droid mode for final version of cad bane.

Anonymous

It's best that he's dead. Bane's death nicely closes out Boba's story, if he somehow ended up alive, it would contradict all Boba had gone through in the show and in his past. There's a lot of time between The Clone Wars and The Book of Boba Fett, I think we'll be seeing live action Cad Bane again in the past.

He is also essentially an elderly man. If boba didn’t kill him, father time would very soon. I don’t think he had much time left to begin with

Anonymous
>>77597514

He’s roughly in his 70’s he didn’t have much time left either way

Cody

As much as I agree that it was a great way for him to die, I also don’t want him to be gone. He’s one of my favorite characters and I want more of him!

ResoluteRiot

thats where im at i love him. i dont want him to be dead but also i want characters to stay dead

AB-5

I voted yes. I don't necessarily think Bane being alive would nullify Boba's rebirth, but it would mean artificially preserving what Bane represents for Boba. It would be awkward because Bane's death here is probably the most meaningful end he could get.

Alex the Patron

I feel like his age would mean this is a good death. But i still think there could have been a stronger buildup
