Know Your Roll

The entire point of the "Things Change" episode was about growing up and realizing that you can't always keep things exactly the way you want them... and moving on. It was a meta message delivered via the show itself. I feel like that is something that gets missed by a lot of people, the gang included.

They absolutely understood that message, since they openly talked about it last discussion. They just didn't like how it was delivered. Most people didn't.

I dunno, watching their reaction and the discussion after I felt like they were really treating it on its surface level. Don't get me wrong, I don't blame them. As a show you've been watching, you really get into analyzing it for the story beats and what's happening. This was just the one episode that really had a deep meta message for the viewers, knowing it was the last episode. I really wish I could find it, but there was a panel where the cast were talking about the episode some years after it had aired and openly discussed the meaning behind it and how misunderstood it was... And how everything done was fully intentional knowing they had no episodes left after it.

Blind Wave, thank you so much for reaching the end of one of my favorite shows from my childhood! Your reactions to this whole show and this movie really warms my heart knowing how much you've made me experience this like I was a kid again! I hope that Cartoon Network or some other media will bring the original Teen Titans back someday! 🙏 Until then, for the last time, Blind Wave, go!
