I'd say for Moff Gideon, but all for the Emperor ultimately. The one thing that ruined the sequel trilogy was bringing back Palpatine. (Sorry Eric). It's just for me it felt like a choice made because they didn't know how else to end it and undid a lot of good challenging stuff that The Last Jedi did. The Empire can come back as the First Order, that's totally plausible, but "cloning", "dark science" "somehow Palpatine returned" just did not cut it for me. That and I felt it kinda cheapened the ending of Return of the Jedi for me. But I'm really keen to see where it goes from here, how they'll connect this to the Emperor returning. If Filoni and Favreau can convince me with a good enough fleshing out of how this all builds up to the reveal in Rise of Skywalker, it'll definitely improve my opinion of the sequels.

She didn't wipe his memory, she just changed the channel on what he was watching on his VR headset to the holiday special

Jordan Malloy

She didn't mean to. She was just trying to turn the office oven to 350°. Gotta bake more of those biscuits.

Dip602

She definitely did it on behalf of someone else

Chase Gardner

She did it for herself she never said she missed things or had dreams she worked in new republic since day 1 to get ahead For her own career.

Skeletor

I think Gideon She is working for but both will get Betrayed by Thrawn who will kill off there group of failures or Moff Gideon to killer her because she now knows too much and in the end he will say it is done in order too proove too Thrawn he d kill and betray his people.

Cal

I think the title is supposed to work on both stories. She wipes his mind and converts him to work for Gideon.

Daniel Sessions

My theory on Kane is she still very much Pro-Empire. And is now like a sleeper cell of sorts in the New Republic. I think she is looking for people in the Amnesty program who may still have some loyalty to the Empire to recruit. With people like Pershings she makes them out to be traitors. Thereby getting rid of a threat of anything they may know. Elevating her status in the New Republic, to who knows how high, and now a new slot has opened in the Amnesty Apartments that could be filled with someone she can recruit.

Julia Bennie

my takeaway was that she is on a mission (perceived or assigned, i'm not sure) to free Gideon, all these rumours about his supposed fate are too suspicious. i think this whole plan she enacted was formulated as soon as the doctor recognized her as a "former" Gideon devotee: judging from the reactions of the rest of the amnesty officers, it felt like they immediately doubted her because she'd never told them (or maybe lied too), and she needs to maintain her cover, her distance from Gideon to avoid suspicion

I don't really care... Everything about this season has been either foreseeable or unnecessary and it's making me sad bc i genuinely really just want to enjoy it :(

Tristen Dusko

Do you guys see bad batch and mando overlapping in story even though they are in two different times?

Anonymous

I think it will be for peli and now she is the new villain on her quest to kidnap grogu

Kaden Harris

I think for Gideon because the whole time I thought she was trying to see if she could bring him into the fold of working for Gideon secretly

BigSteve Kasten

I think it's the same as the Empire and the Kaminoians they take the information they want and get rid of anyone connected to the situation.

Sam Berrecloth

I think it might be an all of the above option. To avoid suspicion on herself, to free Gideon and progress/hide the Emperor's plans in cloning?

Bridget

I don't know if I have enough information to say for sure, but for now I'd say Gideon since he is much more directly connected to the overall lore of the Mandalorian show specifically.

RJ Tavares

She did it for Thrawn! Why not show the starship that launched those Interceptors and Bombers?

Anonymous

Any time there's mention of the Empire doing cloning, I immediately think of my favorite Galen in Star Wars.

Teun

Maybe Thrawn is behind it. If not he sure is behind the imperials from the prologue dogfight

Collecter343

She did it for her own volition

Anonymous

I feel like she’s doing it to keep his cloning knowledge out of new republic hands. As for who she’s helping, I think that thrawn is a likely candidate.

Ziegenbagel

Obviously she did it for a certain blue skinned and Red eyed Chiss Admiral! Plus who else would have so many ships to send after Bo?! Also they were using Thrawn tactics!!!

Leticia Hallmark

She’s definitely doing it for whoever is really calling the shots for all these former “empire” people.

Eman

Of course it benefits Gideon to erase Pershing's mind, but I sense some darker forces at play

High Priestess Darth Sioux

I think she was planted in the amnesty program by Gideon, and is still working with him to try to continue his plans.
