I can't imagine that the string is set in stone because I'm sure there are issues all the time with someone's potential soulmate kicking the bucket prematurely and there clearly isn't an excessive number of people who seemingly don't have tied partners. Also, assuming that humans are still allowed SOME degree of agency related to the strings, I'm sure that if it got to a point where two people's feelings for each other would inhibit the formation of feelings for someone else, the string would "change it's mind". This is also assuming the string doesn't apply to more than just romantic relationships (after all, aromantic people exist).

I’m still predicting that Rowan and Matt are supposed to be tied because of that panel of them walking next to each other and the string moved… unless I made that up 😂 Also author you misspelled Rowan’s name when Matt is talking, I believe it’s the 11th page/photo ♥️

Hmm now I’m really curious how things will turn out between Matt and Rowan, personally I would like to see them together. Also if they start to date and the string does all of a sudden tie them together, why hasn’t there been more stories/couples circulating about it, unless it’s really rare. Oooh so many possibilities!!

Fate is funny sometimes, maybe their tied partners are going through the same thing so the string is waiting to see what they decide to do on their own maybe it's even pushing them a bit to try it. That's just my thoughts lol 😅
